There is an awful lot of backslapping going on for being designated the McDonald’s of fine foods. Wow, enjoy your echo chamber.

But, but – how can this be?? At “Climate Progress”, (in comments, March 8, 2013 at 3:38 pm)
Joe Romm says: “Uhh, I’m running climate blog here so you should pretty much expect posts on climate science and solutions and politics. If you don’t understand the purpose of this blog, I can assure you, tens of thousands of people do. It is not only the most widely read climate science blog in the world, it is also the fastest growing in social media. We’re very much an expanding circle.”
That’s what it says.
[Reply: Only ‘tens of thousands’?? WUWT has well over one hundred million.
Sorry, Joe, you’re small time. — mod.]

Anthony,
I voted for Steve McIntyre”s Climate Audit because I was sure you would win (strategic voting in action). And hearty congrats to you with all sincerity.
The problem is that there is no category that truly fits what Steve does. He’s very technical and professional in his presentations, combined with a wry sense of humour. I have to read some of his posts a numer of times to understand his well-thought-out arguments. Some day, he will be recognized with an award – maybe climate mathematician/statistical analyst of the century.
Enjoy your well earned high status as a voice of reason in a alarmist-mad world.

Fully deserved. Congratulations.

I am proud to have participated in this Blog. Anthony for next Mt Rushmore portrait.
Oklahoma House Passes Bill to Ban UN Agenda 21
“The bill, H.B. 1412, was passed in the state House last week on a bipartisan vote, with a Republican-led coalition of 67 supporting the legislation against 17 Democrats who opposed the measure. It originally passed out of the States’ Rights Committee in late February and is now in the state Senate, where a broad coalition of activists — supporters of national sovereignty, private property, the Constitution, individual liberty, Tea Party groups, and more — is working to ensure its passage.
Of course, Oklahoma is just the latest state to take action against the highly controversial UN plan, which calls for a transformation of human civilization under the guise of promoting so-called “sustainability.” In May of last year, Alabama became the first state to officially ban UN Agenda 21 after a law to protect private property and due process rights was signed by Gov. Robert Bentley. The wildly popular bi-partisan legislation was approved unanimously in both houses of the state legislature.
Before that, lawmakers on both sides of the aisle in Tennessee adopted a resolution blasting the dubious UN agenda as a radical “socialist” plot at odds with individual liberty, private-property rights, and the U.S. Constitution. Lawmakers in Kansas followed suit. Numerous other state governments, under heavy pressure from activists across the political spectrum, are also working to ban the “sustainable development” scheme in their jurisdictions. City and county governments, meanwhile, are taking action to protect residents, too. ”

The world owes you a huge debt of gratitude. Enjoy the limelight. Take a week off. Then hit ’em again, taking inspiration from the varsity cheer at my old alma mater:
“Rah rah ree,
Hit ’em in the knee.
Rah rah rass,
Hit ’em in the other knee!”

What’s that distant sound? Oh yeah, its Cook, Glieck, and Romm blowing a head gasket. Again.

People have an innate desire to seek out the truth and as long as that desire exists, this place will be valued. Thanks for creating this space and congrats Anthony!

“flashy, apparently widely distributed”- and read and valued globally. Recognition of a long hard fight that lesser men would have been unable to keep in with. Very well done to you , your contributors and especially the mods, who deal daily with the lunatic fringe of politically-motivated believers.

john robertson says: “Did SS quit voluntarily? Who was trying to “bot” the results?”
I wondered the same thing, John. But it may be due to the general aroma surrounding SS.

Ginormous Congratulations Anthony. I stumbled across this site many years ago from a random link from FR, just when your surface station project was the big news on your blog, and you still only had a few hundred stations evaluated. It piqued my interest from the start, from its huge range of topics, and all the regulars such as Leif, etc. Since how ever many eleventy billion moons ago, I have been nearly a daily reader, though I only spout off once in a great while. One of these days I will pop over the hill to Chico (though California always makes me feel dirty when I’m within its borders), and when I do, I would be honored if you would allow me to buy you a beer.

Well done Anthony. You may not know about Michael Smith News (http://www.michaelsmithnews.com/) winner of Best-Kept Secret weblog but I can assure you that Michael has no time for so-called climate scientists and other alarmists who spread misinformation & make fraudulent statements about climate. He might be called Australia’s version of James Delingpole but he has had wider experience from working as a policeman, as a manager in IT (associated with Indonesian satellite communications), as well as radio and television. Good to see Australian Climate Madness a winner (Simon has a law degree as well as a science degree)

Congratulations Anthony and the mods. You make a change, and it shows.

Fantastic, well done. Reading the twitter feed is funny, the alarmists seem to think it’s a conspiracy 🙂
