Oh boy, another Mann channel!

You can follow what is sure to be an entertaining series of tweets here.

You’ll know a tipping point has been reached when a quart of strawberries is mentioned.

I think we should all start refering to him as The Debunked Mann

I posted a comment on Mann’s Twitter page:
Here is the record showing his acolytes comment, then Manns reply and then my comment re Cardinal Pell in Australia.
::(Cathy said:)
The Vatican’s Permanent Observer to the United Nations has praised the IPCC 4th Assessment report you worked on:

Michael E. Mann said:::Thanks Cathy–yes, the Vatican has taken a very enlightened view about climate change. I continue to believe that the faith community can, and will, play an important role in raising awareness over the threats posed by climate change.

Peter Walsh said::::: Cardinal Pell in Australia is “off song” then with the Vatican as he thinks totally in the opposite direction on Climate Change cAGW
My comment was removed and I seem to be blocked from making further comments.
Luckily, I copied and pasted all 3 tweets to Bishop Hill Blog

Twitter sure helped get Calgary’s new mayor elected. We have a very young demographic in Calgary.

New Climate Change Study says Global Warming worse than we thought! Its based on 12 fossilized trees from Northern Russia, Rooftop thermometers in Santa Rosa, Antarctic temperature stations buried in snow, lake sediment under a bridge in Sweden, and…the thickness of the stripes on the Wooly Bear Catepillar!

…”On the one hand, as scientists we are ethically bound to the scientific method, in effect promising to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but — which means that we must include all the doubts, the caveats, the ifs, ands, and buts. On the other hand, we are not just scientists but human beings as well. And like most people we’d like to see the world a better place, which in this context translates into our working to reduce the risk of potentially disastrous climatic change. To do that we need to get some broadbased support, to capture the public’s imagination. That, of course, entails getting loads of media coverage. So we have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements, and make little mention of any doubts we might have…” – Stephen Schneider

It’s hilarious how he calls FOIA a tool for assault. It’s like freedom of information is exactly what he doesn’t want to exist. He pre-supposes that any request for information is inherently bad, so the entire thing is an assault on him.

Elsewhere:
“…the Peerless JOHN-IN-A-BOX. This newly developed closet will provide a positive flush with complete and thorough bowl cleansing, while using less than 1.6 gallons of water. Using no pumps, grinders, pressure tanks or other complicated apparatus, our “Controlled Rate Flapper” is fool proof.”

Yaaay, Pamela!
(Except your thoughts on twitter and facebook are far too benign compared to the very dim view of them that I hold.)

“Mann joins the Twitterati”
Ab Fab, sit back, buy the corn and enjoy! It will only be a matter of time, as each and every metric says no, the Mann has to say yeh!

I can see it now. If enough AGW scient(olog)ists join twitter, WUWT can host a new category. The Nit-Twit of the day / week / month.

I see Mann’s understanding of climate science is only exceeded by his poor taste in clothes. Brown suit with khaki shirt and black and white tie?? Horrible unless you happen to be a Newcastle United fan enrolled in the Africa Korps who dresses and shaves in the dark!

twitter is a worthless medium of communication…an electronic version of ‘post-it’ notes, so I suppose that makes it ideal for the discussion of AGW.

Folks, please understand that nothing Mike Mann writes, pumps out
through twitter or Facebook, gives out in a press release, or puts into a
scientific paper is done under a legally binding and valid oath !
Until he sits down in a chair as a witness, subject to actual professionally done
adversarial cross examination, I consider anything Mr. Mann might say or do
to have no basis in fact… except in his own imagination.

” FOI’s assault on science?”
Yes, because simply asking Mann-E-Faces to adhere to the law is clearly an assault.
I used to do contract work for a provincial government. We were informed that every single thing we did at work could be pertained to FOI, and thus, could be made public. Mann obviously knows this, but he has decided that he is going to fight it.
I try to avoid using the word ” criminal”, because it could be viewed as a ad-hominid attack, but in this case, Mann is clearly announcing his intent to try and circumvent the law.
As for the Twitter account, in this case, no joke about ” Twits” is needed. It writes itself.

Anthony snipped me when I innocently exchanged an an A for an I in “Twitterati”.
Let’s see if the following wordplay is less sexually suggestive.
Did you know you can rearrange the letters in “Michael E. Mann” to spell “Manic Lame Hen”?
Manic lame hen reminds me of the story of Chicken Little, the hen who when she first felt rain ran around in a panic saying the sky is falling.

In other news, Mann’s benefactor George Soros lost his appeal and remains a convicted felon.

I love the picture above. The expression on the man in the background is priceless. Kinda like “Oh man[n], here we go again…..”

So do I.
The expression of the guy seated next to Mann seems to say, “….did they have to seat me next to this (fill in the blank), I hope his reputation doesn’t rub off…”
I think I see him edging sideway to disassociate himself.

#HideTheDecline ?
#PalReviewedScience ?
#ClimateScientology ?

Hey Mike. Speaking strictly from a scientific method perspective the quality of your work really stinks. Post that on your twitter.
I tried to read his facebook page, what an embarassing load of anti scientific twaddle.
