Mann joins the Twitterati

Oh boy, another Mann channel!

You can follow what is sure to be an entertaining series of tweets here.

You’ll know a tipping point has been reached when a quart of strawberries is mentioned.

On the positive side, none will need to use FOIAs to read his public tweets

Peer review is only for those who have peers. The peerless are exempt from such mundane distractions.

I went to his FB page and saw this:
Michael E. Mann Thanks Cathy–yes, the Vatican has taken a very enlightened view about climate change. I continue to believe that the faith community can, and will, play an important role in raising awareness over the threats posed by climate change.
Is this some kind of admission?

Why doesn’t everybody just ignore Michael E Mann..
In some mad way, he NEEDs climate sceptics attacking him, so he can rage against deniers..
Ignore him, and Trenberth, Hansen etc, and try to engage politley and civiliy the other scientists…

“On the plus side, maybe he will pull an “Anthony Weiner” and send out a tweet that was only meant for Team members !!! (not meaning that he would send a lewd photo, but private data)”

Oh you’re good. What a presage! Kudos for calling it first!
I could do without the lewd photo of Mann as well, but anything that works is fine by me. This arrogant SOB being discredited by his own actions would be ironic and satisfying. Make it so, Mike!

Just another twit for the “Twitosphere”. Sorry, couldn’t resist.

I also notice the picture of his “Nobel Peace Price” – I wonder what the price was for it?
Is there anything this Mann can’t get wrong?

Who knew that asking for something that is your right to have is assault?
I am tempted to join Twitter just so that I can post that beside that FOIA assault claim. What Michael Mann doesn’t realize that is that the FOIA law is a right and not a privilege. Driving is a privilege. Knowing how our tax money is spent provided that knowing does not put someone’s life in grave danger is a right.

In an effort to frustrate those FOIA scoundrels, Mann can now release his code 140 characters at a time.

I love the picture above. The expression on the man in the background is priceless. Kinda like “Oh man[n], here we go again…..”

Mike, It looks to me like he’s saying “What the hell did you just say??????????

October 6, 2011 11:24 am

Smiley …. What ? Why?
Ie if he gets sidelined, and becomes an embarrasment to other scientists, then normal scientific discussion might be able to resume..
Then the more he rages about ‘Deniers’ the less people pay attention to him.

Vatican …. enlightened ……..Now where have I heard this before?
Oh yeah. Never

Oh the catholic church is full on climate alarmist?
“roughly 177 million more acreage of various lands owned by the Catholic Church throughout the globe, including the hundreds of Vatican embassies that are legally titled to The Holy See as an independent nation.”

The Piltdown Mann pictured at the Congressional Hearing. The ironies overwhelm. My Mac will observe a moment of silence for Jobs, Jobs, Jobs.

I just replied to one of his tweets, I wrote,
@MichaelEMann AGW continues as a parasitic and politics-driven project, thelobbyist.biz/perspectives/l…

Won’t have to wait for an editor to publish a letter to read his hissy fits now.

Perhaps a caption competition (for Mann’s twit(ter) portrait) is in order:
Here’s a first attempt to improve on: “I did not – have deletional relations with that email”

October 6, 2011 12:54 pm

This is speculative. But he is behaving like a man being cornered. Thus he is lashing out in a defensive manner. A man who knows he is losing control over something he wants to keep out of, sigh.
I have not given him more than cursory attention for a while now. Because his science is not good enough to waste my time reading more of his stuff.
I am not going to read his twitter stuff. It is not worth the pollution.

I went a looked at who Mann follows on twitter. Lots of ‘journalists’ and many far left organizations.
Very few scientists…..

My gray hair streaking through the Irish red is showing. I just can’t get twitterpated over twitters and facebooks. Sitting by the fireside reading them doesn’t capture a full thought, let alone a decent argument.

A climate science communication sabbatical from PSU is a wonderful opportunity for entering the Twitter-light world of both shadows and substances . . . . he is going for it.

Right Gary, he looks like he might be Chris Moncktons cousin.
