Gore concedes on climate this year
By Steve Milloy GreenHellBlog, August 10, 2010
Speaking about the likelihood of climate bill being passed by Congress in 2010, Al Gore told a conference call of supporters tonight that, “this battle has not been successful and is pretty much over for this year.” Gore bitterly denounced the Senate and federal government stating several times, “The U.S. Senate has failed us” and “The federal government has failed us.” Gore even seemed to blame President Obama by emphasizing that “the government as a whole has failed us… although the House did its job. [emphasis added]”
Gore urged his listeners to take the “realistic view that they had failed badly.” Gore said that “Comprehensive legislation is not likely to be debated” and that a “lame duck debate” is a “very slim possibility indeed.” (N.B. We thought, because Gore told us, that “the debate” was over.)
…
Gore blamed the skeptics for “attacking science and scientists.” “They [the skeptics] did damage and cast doubt,” Gore said.
…
In a warm-up discussion before Gore addressed the call, National Wildlife Federation chief Larry Schweiger referred to the skeptics as “enemies” and that he hoped the alarmists would “outlive the bastards.”

Oh, and those NWF folks surely could find a way to squeeze in the word “donate” a couple more times on their web page:
Follow the money.

Perhaps he tried to sell carbon shares to the Chinese….so he is a bit depressed about the market perspectives. Perhaps bankruptcy is stalking him.
Hey buddy:
What goes up must come down
spinning wheel got to go round
Talking about your troubles it’s a crying sin
Ride a painted pony
Let the spinning wheel spin
You got no money, and you, you got no home
Spinning wheel all alone
Talking about your troubles and you, you never learn
Ride a painted pony
let the spinning wheel turn
Did you find a directing sign
on the straight and narrow highway?
Would you mind a reflecting sign
Just let it shine within your mind
And show you the colours that are real
Someone is waiting just for you
spinning wheel is spinning true
Drop all your troubles, by the river side
Catch a painted pony
On the spinning wheel ride

Don’t be so negative. Everything will be fixed in about one minute, 4 seconds and 3 tenths that some far east country starts selling some occidental bonds.
When Gore first ran for President in 1988, Doonesberry (in its funny days) would show Gore as a spolied royal child.
Nothing he has done irt climate makes that caricature any less insightful.
There’s an al-a-gorey here somewhere. Conceding that his skeptics are bastards does not a surrender make. And Al’s War goes on and on and on and…
Logic mistake:
If it’s “near Biblical” then it is not unprecedented, has been worse, and therefore is not evidence of man-made warming.
sarc off
Al Gore issues another one-way communication in a venue where his hilarious claims will be insulated from the least scrutiny? Say it ain’t so!
Another round goes to the ‘null hypothesis’ army, if USA continues to delay Carbon Tax until after 2010! Perhaps the coming NH winter will provide another knock-out blow, as the indicators are showing we’re in for a bad one.
Re: Dave Worley ‘watch flank’ at 8/10/10
Indeed. Since the House already passed a bill all the
Senate has to do is pass the exact same thing.
We could have a really bad Christmas season.

…………….Just not that into you Al.
You didn’t seem to get it when you tried to change a massage into more than conversation.
Tall tales and trying so hard to scare the children is a character flaw Al.

I can’t speak for Mr Schweiger, but my parents were married.
The next bunch of measures to shake us out and shackle us are prepared outside the scope of climate change but the effects will be the same.

Their intend is to put the break on human civilization.
Blood Spill Crisis=Gore 🙂
Gore: “The federal government has failed us…”
Let me fix that for you Al,
“The federal government has failed to LINE MY POCKETS!”
Truth in advertising, Al…..
If I’d made over $100,000,000 from the AGW scam like Mr Gore, I’d be calling my opponents names too.
Big Green Lies are imploding.

I’d say that name calling is a sign that Gore is running out of time and ammo.

A good thing that he has no ties with the Maffia, they tend to do more than just name-calling.
Big AL preaches to the congregation of believers and gets to pick up a $150,000 check. What a racket. Gore and his partners sold a large share of their carbon credit exchange to East European investors a few months ago. (Soros?) He bought a big mansion on the California coast. ( melting ice fields will drown it?). This guy is not a fool, just a conman.
This skeptical bastard thinks Albert Gore is his own worst enemy.

He’d a-been whacked a long time ago. Purely accidental, of course. The boys don’t like it that somebody should get too high-profile, yanno?
“They [the skeptics] did damage and cast doubt,” Gore said.
That explains Al’s ire. He’s confused “skeptic” with “heretic”…
When pressed really hard, most warmists will result to the killer tactic of citing the precautionary principle to bolster their lack of empiricism. I concur, a lack of full scientific certainty should not preclude appropriate action. However, appropriate action does not include; abusive name calling, jostling elected members or damaging other persons property. In behaving in this manner they only diminish anything they might choose to say, true or otherwise.
