The Goracle Forecast: AGW=More snow

Sure looks like a heat wave, doesn’t it?

Repower America Reports His View

By Al Gore from his blog @ algore.com

With all the climate deniers spreading lies about the climate crisis in the media, it’s vital we arm ourselves with the facts. Thankfully, Repower America put together a great fact sheet explaining the relationship between the climate crisis and extreme weather:

“Fact: Climate change causes more frequent and severe snowstorms

Record snowstorms need two things: temperatures below freezing, and very high humidity. On a planet warmer by a few degrees on average, the Northeast US will still have plenty of days below freezing; the big difference will be warmer seas producing higher levels of moisture in the air – and therefore more severe cold-season storms.”

“Fact: We can expect more extreme weather

Scientists tell us that climate change has already led to more extreme weather in the United States and we can expect stronger hurricanes, more wildfires, heatwaves and droughts, to name a few.”

“Fact: The world is warming at a quickening pace

Weather in one region over days or months should not be confused with climate or the patterns of weather over decades and centuries. And the science is clear here: the last decade was the hottest on record. And to put this year’s weather in perspective, January was warmer than average for the continental United States”

============================

I could spend lots of time pointing out why each one of these claims is false, and that Mr. Gore is atcually the one who is the liar, by why deprive my readers of all the fun?

One thing Gore doesn’t mention: El Nino. Wonder why?

You can bet he’d be making the same claim if we had a below normal snowfall records too.

RR Kampen (03:43:25) :
I know Donner Summit got 880″ of snowfall 82-83, but it did not cover the entire State of California. See, that’s what’s so comical about Gore, he doesn’t know when to quit when he’s ahead. He just keeps piling on the BS until it turns into a blizzard.
And that is how Al Gore turned Global Warming into Global Cooling: with a mouthful of horse cookies.

Al is a pragmatic perveracator with a propensity for oratorical sonorosity that is too pleonastic to be expeditiously assimilated.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the BEST I can say about him.

Like the proverbial cat with 9 lives to live, the following author attributes 9 LIES to Al Gore:
http://www.investors.com/NewsAndAnalysis/Article.aspx?id=522005
Maybe that’s the article that’s finally flushed him out. However, he’s back to his old tricks of making absolutely unfounded pronouncements. Of course, that’s what he’s been doing all along.
Al Gore is so far from being a scientist that he’s a complete embarrassment.

A bit OT, but Donald Duck was selling AIR already in 1952;

Al Gore’s first fact above obscures the difference between absolute humidity and relative humidity. If the oceans are warmer it must (according to AGW) have been from warmer air. Warm oceans may increase absolute humidity – what they sneakily call moisture for consumption by AGWers – but the warm air actually reduces relative humidity thus offsetting any increase in absolute humidity.
It is the relative humidity which is a factor in precipitation. Says so on the wikipedia page on it.

“On a planet warmer by a few degrees on average…”
OK Al, Baby. Which planet is that? Even the IPCC only claims 1 degree F warming since the pre-industrial period.

Sure, because it wouldn’t work then.
I’m also very delighted, he didn’t invent the wheel.

The AGW promoters are very hopeful that this third rebranding of AGW (from global warming to climate change to climate crisis) will save their social movement.
It won’t.
There was trivial warming, the climate always changes, and weather extremes have existed since there was weather.
Mr. Gore’s organization is not producing the blog referenced in this thread in order to convince anyone who is actually examining the claims of AGW. He is producing talking points to keep his sales and fund raising efforts on track.

Some potential “complications”!
Al Gore Is Lying Low — for Good Reason
By Rex McBride February 24, 20

Maybe Al Gore’s been advised by legal counsel to lie low.10 . . .
Mr. Gore’s financial gains were based on the contradictory and error-plagued assertion that man’s release of the trace gas CO2 will fry the planet. . . .
As investors learn the extent of the scam, Mr. Gore’s start-up “green” companies will lose considerable value, like flaky dot-com companies lacking a real product. Investors in these “green” companies — who reasonably relied upon Gore’s alarming claims — may pursue several possible remedies:
– derivative shareholder lawsuits, disgorging from Mr. Gore and other senior officers in these companies any illicit gains from any insider trading that could be proven; and/or
– lawsuits against brokers who did not perform the SEC’s necessary “due diligence” research before peddling those shares; and/or
– civil RICO lawsuits against Mr. Gore and any IPCC scientists who participated in blocking the publication of contrary research, cooking the data, all of whose annual income skyrocketed from the public hysteria. . . .
Since 1970, the scope of RICO cases has grown far beyond prosecuting mafia operations. The law firm Nixon Peabody explained:
RICO was written in broad terms. To state a claim, a plaintiff must allege four elements: (1) conduct (2) of an enterprise (3) through a pattern (4) of racketeering activity… Each element of a RICO claim requires additional analysis: an “enterprise” is marked by association and control; a “pattern” requires a showing of “continuity” — continuous and related behavior that amounts to, or poses a threat of, continued criminal violations; and “racketeering activity” involves the violation of designated federal laws …
It violates federal law to fake taxpayer-funded research and then manipulate or destroy data to enrich oneself. If an insider group secretly conspires to do so, it looks and smells like RICO. . . .
Call Congress and demand that the GAO audit all climate change grants. GAO has the professional audit expertise to follow the money, gather objective facts, and report on any significant fraud or abuse.

Al Gore will have to put things on hold for a little while. The UN has urgent business in Bali again: click
There are sunny beaches to be enjoyed, and nightlife, caviar, brie, champagne and lobster, all paid for by working taxpayers as the UN schemes to push the CAGW agenda.
And any UNEP delegate who deviates from the official UN CAGW line won’t be invited back.

Smokey, your a riot!
All science has done is look at the superficial of how the climate of this planet works. The mechanics is the actual of how this planet works.
What is wind? Mechanics.
What is evaporation? Mechanics.
What is rotation? Mechanics.
What is density changes? Mechanics.
What is atmosphere? Mechanics.
There is a great amount of actual science missing here.

I saw this, Smokey, and noted that it would be rather difficult for the party-goers attendees to get to their tropical vacation destination without the help of BIG OIL to fuel the commercial airliners (unless they plan to run their planes on peanut oil)…
If you search the internet, you will find blogs describing the partying and networking that went on at the previous Bali party conference…

There is a reason that Al Gore does not play well as a scientist:
Gore graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in government cum laude on June 12, 1969.[24] The Washington Post described his commencement ceremony as a “Sixties period piece” of tradition and chaos. This included the moment when “President Nathan Pusey delivered his time-honored welcoming of the graduates to ‘the company of educated men,’ [and] hundreds of seniors rose from their folding chairs, raised their fists in defiance, and walked out.”[25]
He isn’t. See Wikipedia for his worshipful biography.

While we fiddle and laugh at “Dumb Al” he sits at his little pc cranking out more and more money making endorsements to quacks who think this about that on climate warming and catistrophic weather change; he goes to chicken dinners by the score and says something very forgetable while raking in money money money by the minute. Yes, Big Al is the dumbist, most worthless, former VP we’ve ever had. But… he sure knows how to make friends with the world’s power brokers and feather his and Tipper’s big old nest. Doesn’t he?
There ought to be a contest. Up front, tell everyone that Big Al gets 51% of the gate; the object is to bet on when precisely (UTC date/time) Big Al sold his soul to the Devil in exchange for his great wealth and fanfare. At least it would make folks focus a minute on something other than the terrible Global Warming we’re having this winter. No matter how poor we are, don’t we all just love to bet our last penny on anything Big Al says and does?
Don’t regular people have a VP we can put on the Chicken Dinner circuit? Where’s that kid that ‘Bush the First’ had? I’ll bet he’s older now. Isn’t there a Super Rich Old Geezer that wants to rub Soros’ face in the mud and sponsor ‘Our Guy’? Soros & Co. must have one enemy they haven’t ruined and sent to the poor house.

Interesting. The problem I now have is that I’m skeptical of temperature comparisons, a) because I do not know what data they are using, because b) I do not trust that error hasn’t been introduced into the data via the various manipulations that have taken place over the last 50 years.

Fact #3: The world is warming at a quickening pace.
Phil Jones disagrees and states that we have had no statistically significant warming since 1995. And Jone’s assertion is based on manipulated surface temperature data. Imagine what the raw data will tell us.
Prediction: Once the surface temperature data is audited, we’ll discover that the globle has undergone dramitic cooling these past 10 or 12 years.
