Last month I was surprised to find WUWT broke the 2 million hits barrier.
This month, it’s worse than we thought:

Just another effect of Climategate.
In other news, some other websites didn’t appear to benefit from the Climategate “bump”.
From Alexa.com
As always, I say I could not have done this alone. My sincere thanks to the many contributors, and moderators Charles, DB, and Evan. Of course, let’s not forget all the readers and commenters. Truly a global village we have here.

Finally;

This joint UK Met office press release rushed out in a hurry on the 24th Nov, I wonder why!
http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/corporate/pressoffice/2009/pr20091124a.html
see how many inaccurate, unproven or misleading statements you can spot.
The authors are of the highest reputation! so it all must be true!
The number of viewers of WUWT should come as no surprise. Anthony has been consistent from the beginning about demanding thorough and accurate documentation of all claims. I was attracted to WUWT at first because of the work done in documenting the compliance with established standards of the weather recording stations throughout the US.
Then he stumbled across the “readjustment” made to the US temperature records; instead of a reasonable downward shift which could be justified by the urbanization of the areas around the weather stations, Anthony found that the reverse had happened: stations which showed NO change had their records adjusted! The trouble with renormalization is that a legitimate process would require field work: each site would have to be individually inspected, placed in one of the five categories, historical records investigated, and appropriate adjustments made. Such activity would be labor intensive, and was not done.
WUWT has had the benefit of a superb corps of contributors. I have learned much from the regular comments in the various threads. The comments add much to the initial posts.
I direct the following question to the readers: the “researchers” at the University of East Anglia claim that the original temperature data has been lost. I find it highly improbable that the original sources of that data have lost the data. Is it possible to contact all of the original providers and re-assemble the data base?
Surely contributors from around the world would not have forwarded their records to CRU without keeping copies? Keeping a record of one’s correspondence is just good scientific practice.
Congrats Anthony and moderators!! And the paper journals wonder why they’re losing readership. Maybe if they reported the news ?!?!!?
Excellent work, congratulations from South Africa.
I’m delighted to see the traffic up so high. Sometimes a nice guy DOES win!
NOT SO FAST!
Anthony – I’ve just run your raw stats through the CRU’s data adjustment software package – and it’s not looking quite so good I’m afraid…

REPLY: Oh, simple, the data is inverted. Never use upside down data. – A
Andrew (07:12:04) : It is a BBC diplomatic communique disguised as a journalist report. They took a whole week to think it over.
“The IPCC was designed by the UN in the Cold War era, before the internet and before GoogleWave.
Maybe we should think about how a Citizen’s Panel on Climate Change might work in today’s world”
So, they are proposing to change the IPCC in a CPCC (looks like CCCP!!)
Just to let you know – I’m having that beer now.
To WUWT. And sanity!
Walter Cronanty (06:31:37) :
My initial thought was to wish for a sentient reporter to ask Mr. Gibbs: “And when throughout history does the Whitehouse believe that climate change was not happening?”
Thanks for that! Walter, couldn’t quite put that into words, perfect!
Perhaps that should be the next “Quote of the Week”!
Anthony and all your support staff are brilliant. Also the scientific contributors and commentators fill me with awe.
I wish I hadn’t flunked out of school and could contribute more but I will spread the word to my best abilities.
Thank you all.
Anthony is now a news leader in many ways. “Climategate” was first coined here.
I posted the expression tree ring circus here and on several other blogs for the first time months ago. It is a name already used for some ki’ds book author.
This site has set the foundation for the fraud exposure. The bad data sites and manipulation of records plus the reported saga of refused FOIA requests.
Looks like the convention in Copenhagen of village idiots is going to have a cloud over it.
Pamela Gray (06:47:52) :
By the way, for those searching for their “village idiot”, I believe they will all be at Copenhagen in a few days
So Pamela, are they planning a surge in copenhagen?
What if they all come home sick from drinking too much green koolaid???
poor global warmers
ship sinking
abandon ship
not enough life boats

This plot looks like the work of one Michael Mann.
As the kids say, “owntage”.
BBC have an opinion piece up from a climate professor and some other science-type guy: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8388485.stm
Anthony: You deserve all of this success and more. Congratulations, and thank you so much for what you do.
There goes the Turin Shroud! It needs perfect climatic conditions to survive and we all know how good Dr Phil is at that!
Not fair. The stick is raised. Did you score?
Congratulations on a well-deserved milestone Anthony.
I searched the CBS, ABC and NBC sites for “climategate” and found zero links. On MSNBC I found 3 links and when following the links found stories about people living in log cabins with solar power, garden plots and nothing concerning the greatest scientific scandal of the century. Your work is not done I’m afraid; and also heartened to be able to continue enjoying your insight and my education.

That calls for a hooking penalty (blade pointing down)
Congrats Anthony !
I appreciate the advances in readership, however there is far too much back-slapping and congratulations going around. One only has to watch MSM reports to see that nothing has been effectively accomplished… yet.
Encouraging to the struggle, is Australia’s return to sanity:

Most people on the street are completely unaware of the CRU leaks nor their significance.
There is a long and difficult journey ahead. Anyone who think the AGW/CO2 movement has been decapitated is mistaken. This is a global political movement and it has many heads and tentacles. Like the mythical Hydra, it will be a difficult beast to kill.
So, have a party, but then get back to work.
A miracle has happened.
The New York Times published an article that actually deals with the real issues of climategate and even has a link to the HARRY_READ_ME article on this site!

(Of course, it is on page D1 ~ but this is significant progress nonetheless!)
Hahah their boat is sinking, World Bank suit-type guy Lord Stern is manning the pumps himself now: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/earthnews/6469714/Climategate-scandal-risks-a-deal-at-Copenhagen-says-Stern.html
We’re “muddled and confused”, apparently.
