Al Gore can't tell time – thinks most recent Climategate email is more than 10 years old

Al Gore apparently has no command of the most basic details of anything related to Earth and climate. His last idiotic gaff in the media was that the temperature of the Earth 2 kilometers or so down was millions of degrees!  Apparently,  Slate editors who look equally like dufuses for printing this dreck didn’t notice his latest one either. Maybe all those trips around the world in the private jet have damaged his ability to tell the time and date? Too many trip across the International Dateline perhaps?

Here’s an interview question put to him from Slate:

Q: How damaging to your argument was the disclosure of e-mails from the Climate Research Unit at East Anglia University?

A: To paraphrase Shakespeare, it’s sound and fury signifying nothing. I haven’t read all the e-mails, but the most recent one is more than 10 years old. These private exchanges between these scientists do not in any way cause any question about the scientific consensus. But the noise machine built by the climate deniers often seizes on what they can blow out of proportion, so they’ve thought this is a bigger deal than it is.

But wait there’s more…

Q: There is a sense in these e-mails, though, that data was hidden and hoarded, which is the opposite of the case you make [in your book] about having an open and fair debate.

A: I think it’s been taken wildly out of context. The discussion you’re referring to was about two papers that two of these scientists felt shouldn’t be accepted as part of the IPCC report. Both of them, in fact, were included, referenced, and discussed. So an e-mail exchange more than 10 years ago including somebody’s opinion that a particular study isn’t any good is one thing, but the fact that the study ended up being included and discussed anyway is a more powerful comment on what the result of the scientific process really is.

These people are examining what they can or should do to deal with the P.R. dimensions of this, but where the scientific consensus is concerned, it’s completely unchanged. What we’re seeing is a set of changes worldwide that just make this discussion over 10-year-old e-mails kind of silly.

Earth to Al, Earth to Al, come in Al.

Despite the fact that some of the 10 year old emails discussed important issues like the 2001 IPCC report and what made it into it…the most recent emails in Climategate were from November 2009. Last month,  this year, earth time.

For example, here’s one from November 12th from Phil Jones:

And there are dozens to hundreds more within the last month, the last year, and the last 10 years.

Has anyone asked him how he feels about Professor Jaap
Sinninghe Damste findings that “the melting and freezing of moisture on top of Kilimanjaro appears to
be part of “a natural process of dry and wet periods.” The present
melting is not the result of “environmental damage caused by man.”

What Al really said, unedited:
“I haven’t read all the e-mails, but [I read one or two of them. And] the most recent one [I read] is more than 10 years old.”

President Gore (well, almost, it was stolen by hanging chads and butterfly ballots) will be remembered as the prophet of our new austerity.
All of you who maintain the temerity to undermine the Prophet Gore’s proclamations take heed: Nowhere is a safe-haven, and all of your e-mails are easily retrieved for future reference. As we have indeed seen recently, courtesy of hackers paid by the Russian secret service.
Denialism requires re-education. Work will make you free!
These appalling attacks upon Prophet Gore must cease, forthwith.

Oh wait, I’ve just done a little math. He says the last email is 10 years old, but it is from Nov. 12. That is about 25 and a bit days ago. So he is out by a factor of:
(365 * 10) / 25 = 146
Later he says the northern ice cap has been the same size for 3 million years. Well it happens many of us were under a couple of miles of northern ice cap ice about 20,000 years ago. So there he is out by a factor of
3,000,000 / 20,000 = 150
So it seems that Al Gore isn’t lying or even wrong, he’s just quite slow. In fact his internal clock must be running about 150 times slower than normal.
Hmm, that may explain why his many predictions are so far off as well.

This is the classic problem of a person surrounded by flappers and sycophants who has no personal touch with reality. Like when Bush Senior first saw a price scanner and it was in the news that he was a bit clueless about everyday life. When someone else buys all your food for you, you lose touch with ‘food store reality” and when someone else buys your thoughts for you …
So yeah, Mr. Talking Head had a flapper load the daily talking points memo from the PR team (who likely didn’t read anything themselves either, having gotten a warped version from their executive assistants who got it from their aids…) and it got a bit garbled in the upload…
But hey, at least he doesn’t have to depend on a teleprompter… or maybe he is reaching That Age where he does need one…
It doesn’t really matter anyway, tomorrow is another day and a new talking points briefing and another paid luncheon and it’s all about seeing and being seen and only underlings and gophers deal with real facts anyway and he’ll be in a nice suit and talking to the next media Talking Head exchanging the days bee-bread for Royal Jelly…
I could never live like that.

When you’re a poet who can keep track of time?
Actual Al Gore poems:
.
One thin September soon
A floating continent disappears
In midnight sun
Vapors rise as
Fever settles on an acid sea
.
Snow glides from the mountain
Ice fathers floods for a season
A hard rain comes quickly
Then dirt is parched
Kindling is placed in the forest
For the lightning’s celebration
.
The shepherd cries
The hour of choosing has arrived
Here are your tools

To people flying around up in the stratosphere (both literally and figuratively) divorced from any semblence of association with objective science, what’s a couple million degrees one way or the other. . .
And consider this: What level and weight of hard scientific evidence do y’all think would be required; before Gore and the AGW ”true believers” would be willing to stand up and admit they were wrong ?? . .
That’s right:
Just like the Inquisition convicted Galileo of heresy for saying that the earth went around the sun instead of the other way around, EVEN THOUGH other astronomers independently confirmed Galileo’s hard observational facts:
Vast hoardes of starry-eyed AGW lemmings are probably beyond reach.
One can only hope there are still enough people in the ”sensible center” to carry the day in the end. Otherwise it’s turn out the lights; the party’s over; and it’s back to the dark ages. . . .

Al Gore knows that his followers are sheep. If he says that the latest email is more than 10 years old they will believe him. None of them will check because they are believers not sceptics (skeptics) whatever….
Down in Oz, Australian of the year, Tim Flannery, Climate Alarmist No.1 did this calculation in an article in a leading Alarmist newspaper (The Melbourne Age). Flannery claims to be a scientist. Of what, I don’t know.
Paraphrasing…..
Average global temperature in 1900 was 15C. Now it’s 20C. That’s a 25% increase in temperature!
Check…. (unless it has been modified by the Age… which has been know to happen when they get caught out… in that case I kept a PDF as evidence)
http://www.theage.com.au/opinion/politics/climate-sceptics-and-the-liberals-negotiating-in-bad-faith-20091203-k8pr.html
An economist, Terry McCrannt pointed out that its actually (based on Flannery’s figures) a 33% increase. He went on to say that if Flannery can’t undertake that basic calculation why should we believe anything he says.
http://www.heraldsun.com.au/business/terry-mccranns-column/climate-hysteria-just-warming-up/story-e6frfig6-1225808076539
Now for the interesting bit. McCrannt received dozens of emails pointing out another dishonest part of Flannery’s calculation. Why didn’t he use the Kelvin scale? (I know this because I wrote to McCrannt and he replied to me)
In that case the numbers are (roughly) 288K in 1900 and 293K now. That leads to 5/288 = 1.7%
I noticed two things (apart from Flannery’s rubbery figures)
1. His supporters immediately rallied to his defence and went on to rail against these evil, extermist deniers. How could they question the Australian of the year regardless of the fact that he can’t do a basic calculation.
2. Nobody cared about the fundemental issue about the Kelvin scale.
But…. here is the kicker in my mind (as well as a whole lot of other people)
According to the Warmers, variability in Solar output is only 0.1%
Temperature increase over the past 100 years is around 0.5K (shoot me if I’m wrong… It’s a rough estimate)
-> 0.5K/288K = 0.18%
Clearly orders of magnitude greater than the Solar variation!… Oh…hang on!?!
I understand that this is a super rough model but perhaps this could be explored by somebody who has a better understanding of thermodynamics than I do. (Maybe it already has been).
P.S. if I’ve messed up a calculation I will never claim to be Australian of the year and I would welcome anybody setting me straight.

Al Gore, the man of infinite talent, obviously lives in the future… it’s 2019 for him. Which tells us several things:
1. The Mayan Armageddon of 2012 is not going to happen. We’re good on that one. Won’t we all breathe a sigh of relief!
2. Unfortunately, while the Mayans forecast didn’t come true, apparently the center of the earth in 2019 has attained several million degrees… so it’s getting a bit toasty around those geothermal generation plants. Oh, and the bottom of the Grand Canyon is kinda molten… but it’s pretty at night with the lava and all.
3. Al is running his house on that free energy that the oil companies bought the patents to, and hid. Which means that in the next ten years we can generate electricity in our basements, apparently out of wishful thinking and maybe cat poop. So we should stop criticizing him for his extra large carbon footprint… he isn’t really making one, but he just can’t tell us because the technology is in our future. And if he told us how to do it, the Large Hadron Collider would implode and …. ummm….
Never mind, he’s just not very bright.

This stuff actually scares me, because Joe Public still thinks Al is the Oracle. If Al says the most recent e-mail is ten years old and it’s irrelevant because the research that was potentially going to be excluded was included, Joe Public swallows this more easily than if any other stiff said it. It’s disgusting, but true. It simply makes the effort required to refute his rubbish that much more strenuous, and I’m sure he knows this … which just demonstrates what a partisan wanker he is.

The sad thing about all this is that eventually, people will wake up and realize that they haven’t been duped this bad in a LOOOOOOOOOONG time.
When they do, Science, the media and Politics will drift below car salesman in terms of trust and credibility.
Now, the media and politics….yeah whatever…..democracy needs to get back to an honest place and most people I feel sure will have that constant inkling of doubt and skepticism to varying degrees.
Science, now that really makes me sad. I grew up with people like Magnis Pike telling me the reason why it’s easier to pull a grass roller than push it (I didn’t realize till 5th form that I’d learned all about vectors by watching ‘don’t ask me’ from the age of 5)
That is what science is supposed to be…. people who care about truth ….. that’s what science is supposed to be!!
To see it go down in flames for political reasons, now that is what these people will need to go on trial for when this is all over.
The heart of science is truth and the human spirit
I’m glad there are places like this on the net
Thankyou

Al Gore is a buffoon.
The more I read about him, the less I think he’s intelligent and the more I think he’s a puppet. All anyone need do is pull the little string in his back and watch him recite from his vague and somewhat cloudy mind. Which of course concerns me. If he’s not in control of his faculties, who is?
Also, I think it is just pure coincidence that he was able to separate himself from Copenhagen. Or is it that rats are the first to know when a ship is sinking. We will never know.
I had even held this small belief, that Al Gore was some kind of mastermind behind the creation of Global Warming. I am having to rethink that logic.
There is no way he is smart enough to pull off a 20-plus year crusade to hide the decline and manufacture data to support AGW. He’s just too stupid.
I guess I’ll have to look for the real villain behind the man bear pig we have all come to despise.

“The result is a surprisingly accomplished, nuanced piece of writing. The images Gore conjures in his (untitled) poem turn a neat trick: they are visually specific and emotionally arresting”
The poem reads like it has been written by a computer – a series of words chosen randomly then parsed for rhyme and rythm. I assume the critic knew who the poet was before making his comments.
There was once a case where someone trained a monkey to paint. The result was a kind of abstract art in the extreme, which elicited exuberant praise from the art critics. Using their highly trained artiistic knowledge they were able to tell the audience how skillfully the artist used light, colour and form to bring a deeper understanding to the subject matter in hand.
I am not trying to compare Al Gore with a monkey however. Just sayin’.

The Real issue here is not what Al Gore remembers or what those emails contain ( i think they have been quoted way out of context). we have to analyze whether climate change is real and even more than that whether renewable energy and efficient use of energy is the way forward. i personally think that it is the way forward. i also think that if oil was still continuing its upward climb like last year most people would have been taking renewable energy far more seriously. A nice view of the same can be read here http://www.green-global.net/blog.aspx

It looks like Al lives in a parallel universe. Or perhaps in his private bubble that keeps him out of contact wiht the real world. Would it be improper to call him “Bubble Boy” Gore?
Incidentally, speaking of parallel universes, the Tuesday CBC radio program “As It Happens” included an interview with Michael Mann from 2008 in which he gives a verbal description of the hockey stick and tells how the graph describes the temperature history of the last 1000 years. I heard a repeat broadcast just as I was turning in for the night, but will be sending a caustic note very soon.

More and more evidence is popping up that the raw temp record aligns with IPCC climate model predictions with AGW turned off.
http://strata-sphere.com/blog/index.php/archives/11812
Is it any wonder the only data record which conforms with the IPCC models when AGW is included are by those very scientists whose careers and credibility rest on AGW being proven? And those records are easily shown to diverge from reality (the raw temps).

Climate change is as real as the sunrise. Climate change started as soon as the earth had a climate. Sorry, that’s not the right question — it’s a dumb question.
The future requires more energy. Renewable energy will be part of that mix. The time to implement renewable energy is when it become economically viable and not before. As those technologies mature they will naturally be put to wider use.
There is no need to mandate the use of more renewables and certainly no need to force out existing, practical energy sources in favor of expensive and still experimental energy sources just because you believe they are better.

Here are a few interesting quotes from the book, The Stupidest Things Ever Said by Politicians:
On Illegal Fund-Raisers at Buddhist Temples, Al Gore on:
Explanation number 1: It wasn’t a fund-raiser, it was a “community outreach event.”
Explanation number 2: It wasn’t a fund-raiser, it was just “finance-related.”
Explanation number 3: It wasn’t a fund-raiser, it was a “donor-maintenance meeting.”
There’s also this amusing tidbit:
On Historical Knowledge, Vice-Presidential:
“Who are these guys?”
Al Gore, referring to the busts of Jefferson, Washington, Franklin, and Lafayette on a televised tour of Monticello. (p. 109)
And this:
“A zebra cannot change its spots.” (p. 54)
And this:
On Senator’s Sons, Typical Days of:
“[My father] taught me how to clean out hog waste with a shovel and a hose. He taught me how to clear land with an ax. He taught me how to plow a steep hillside with a team of mules. He taught me how to take up hay all day long in the hot sun and then, after a dinner break, go help the neighbors take up hay before the rain came and spoiled it on the ground.”
Vice President Al Gore on the virtues of farm life, not mentioning that, as a rich senator’s son, all this was presumably learned on summer vacation from Harvard. A real farmer’s son, Republican National chairman Jim Nicholson, replied, “Mr. Vice President, with all due respect, you’re shoveling a lot more of it right now than you ever did back then.” (p. 141)
And this:
On Timing is Everything:
“[Due to pollution, cars pose] a mortal threat to the security of every nation.”
Senator Al Gore in his 1992 book,
Earth in the Balance.
“Here in Motor City we recognize that cars have done more than fuel our commerce. Cars have freed the American spirit and given us the chance to chase our dreams.”
Vice President Al Gore — while gearing up for his 2000 presidential run — in a 1999 speech to the Economic club of Detroit. (p. 253)

Open Letter to Secretary-General of United Nations
His Excellency Ban Ki Moon
Secretary-General, United Nations
New York, NY
United States of America
8 December 2009
Dear Secretary-General,
Climate change science is in a period of ‘negative discovery’ – the more we learn about this exceptionally complex and rapidly evolving field the more we realize how little we know. Truly, the science is NOT settled.
Therefore, there is no sound reason to impose expensive and restrictive public policy decisions on the peoples of the Earth without first providing convincing evidence that human activities are causing dangerous climate change beyond that resulting from natural causes. Before any precipitate action is taken, we must have solid observational data demonstrating that recent changes in climate differ substantially from changes observed in the past and are well in excess of normal variations caused by solar cycles, ocean currents, changes in the Earth’s orbital parameters and other natural phenomena.
We the undersigned, being qualified in climate-related scientific disciplines, challenge the UNFCCC and supporters of the United Nations Climate Change Conference to produce convincing OBSERVATIONAL EVIDENCE for their claims of dangerous human-caused global warming and other changes in climate. Projections of possible future scenarios from unproven computer models of climate are not acceptable substitutes for real world data obtained through unbiased and rigorous scientific investigation.
Specifically, we challenge supporters of the hypothesis of dangerous human-caused climate change to demonstrate that:
1.Variations in global climate in the last hundred years are significantly outside the natural range experienced in previous centuries;
2.Humanity’s emissions of carbon dioxide and other ‘greenhouse gases’ (GHG) are having a dangerous impact on global climate;
3.Computer-based models can meaningfully replicate the impact of all of the natural factors that may significantly influence climate;
4.Sea levels are rising dangerously at a rate that has accelerated with increasing human GHG emissions, thereby threatening small islands and coastal communities;
5.The incidence of malaria is increasing due to recent climate changes;
6.Human society and natural ecosystems cannot adapt to foreseeable climate change as they have done in the past;
7.Worldwide glacier retreat, and sea ice melting in Polar Regions , is unusual and related to increases in human GHG emissions;
8.Polar bears and other Arctic and Antarctic wildlife are unable to adapt to anticipated local climate change effects, independent of the causes of those changes;
9.Hurricanes, other tropical cyclones and associated extreme weather events are increasing in severity and frequency;
10.Data recorded by ground-based stations are a reliable indicator of surface temperature trends.
It is not the responsibility of ‘climate realist’ scientists to prove that dangerous human-caused climate change is not happening. Rather, it is those who propose that it is, and promote the allocation of massive investments to solve the supposed ‘problem’, who have the obligation to convincingly demonstrate that recent climate change is not of mostly natural origin and, if we do nothing, catastrophic change will ensue. To date, this they have utterly failed to do so.

Sid,
At what cost? The main reason the price of oil climbed as it did is because people with your politics are keeping American oil in the ground, and trying to do the same thing with Canadian oil. How did the Great Leap Forward” work out for the Chinese? Do you remember? Probably not, but villages attempted to melt down their hand farming implements to make modern plows. Result, mass starvation.
And Sid, I ask this sincerely. How many times does the Left have to make the same mistake before you learn from it? Don’t you guys even have a song about it?

and turn it into:

An old passion seeks heroes and friends who are young,

This was a fair comment. One problem with the way forward that you speak of is extremely high prices of fossil fuels. This is because the so called “renewables” are very expensive, and this necessitates artificially high prices on existing fuels to make these new fuels competitive. Fossil fuels are a finite resource. Yet, we have already located 1000 Gigatons of coal around the world, most of it in the USA. We have estimates of oil shale as high as 5 Trillion equivalent gallons of oil. Vast reserves of Natural Gas have been discovered in Alaska. Instead of chasing an expensive fantasy, we could simply continue to locate reserves, and while using them, plan for a future of nuclear energy, Biofuels, etc. There is no rationale for cutting our own throats to evade use of natural resources. The earth is not a religious shrine, the polar bears are ok (had one for lunch) and C02 (at a concentration of 4 molecules in every 10 THOUSAND) is a vital beneficial component of our atmosphere.

One of the best parts of the interview comes at the end. When it is suggested that one is being hypocritical if one is against war in the Middle East but still drives an SUV, Gore includes in his reply:
I drive a hybrid and we’ve changed our light bulbs and windows and installed solar panels and geothermal ground source heat pumps and most everything else.
The interviewer, naturally, completely fails to call him out on the extreme irony of this statement. I’m sure Gore owns a hybrid (after all, is son was caught driving one at aver 100 MPH), but his documented energy use is many, many multiples that of the average American, and thousands of times that which he is advocating we be forced to live with.
I’m sure Gore drives his Hybrid to all his book signings, and when he travels between his different homes, and going to Copenhagen he probably hopped a ride aboard a cargo freighter headed to Europe so as to avoid air travel. And gosh, his 10,000 square feet of mansion for two is sure efficient.
Maybe not.

If Al Gore met Truth on the street, and Truth said “hello Al”, Al would look the other way and pretend not to know him. Indeed, perhaps Al would now no longer recognize him, since he’s been lying for so long. Truth became inconvenient to Al long ago.

Well here in the land of the Rod/Stone/Fortnight system, the temperature only increased from 57F up to 68 F so that makes it only a 19.3 % increase.
No wonder you Oztralians think is so darn hot all the time !

Kate, thanks for the latest from M4GW. I suspect Gore must be visiting somewhere in the Upper Midwest right now. Temps are dropping like a rock over 20F below normal and those 30MPH sustained winds are dropping wind chills way below 0F (suppose to be -30F tonight). Watching Gore the first word that came to mind was “smarmy”. Al Gore has positioned himself to become one of the most discredited human beings in history, and he seems to be wrapped up so deeply in his own blather that he doesn’t see it coming. Gore deserves a cell right next to Madoff’s…

“I suspect Gore must be visiting somewhere in the Upper Midwest right now. Temps are dropping like a rock over 20F below normal and those 30MPH sustained winds are dropping wind chills way below 0F”
And the Lord looked upon Gore and saw that he had spread great untruths that were a blasphemy upon this earth. And also the Lord saw that this Gore was causing great fear and the hearts of men to tremble with his blasphemies and that he had made the monies to disappear from the pockets of man and into his own account.
And a great anger came upon the Lord, whereupon he raised his staff and from heaven cried: “Gore I thee curse, and thou shalt suffer the cold and snows as of a mighty chill that shall follow thee unto the ends of this earth.”
And thus became that which became known as “the Gore effect.”

I overlapped Al as a student at Harvard College during 1967-1969 (but never met him). During the 2000 Presidential campaign, I remember being underwhelmed by his academic record. His SAT aptitude scores were mediocre by Harvard standards, his achievement test scores in the sciences were abysmal, and his grades at Harvard were terrible. He did not take a single serious science or mathematics course as an undergraduate.

Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” (2006) is the “Reefer Madness” (1936) of my generation. While a half hour longer, the production budgets are similar in constant dollars. OT but had to share my funny idea:
Since the EPA declared greenhouse gases to be poisonous… the last few days anytime someone is close to me I have been saying “WOH stop exhaling on me, that is poisonous you know?”.. Or when someone is drinking water or having a shower I let them know that they are poisoning their bodies. Spread the word. It is simply amazing how many people don’t know that we exhale c02 and that water vapour is a GHG. I was shocked.

I guess what kills me is that by using the data at the NCDC it shows what skeptics have been saying all along. Go to the link below and put in 1895 (the farthest dates that temp history is available) to 2009 and you will see a 0.12 degrees C rise in temperatures for the U.S. Plug in 1980-2009 and you will see a rise of 0.44 degrees C. But plug in 1997-2009 and you will see a 0.29 degree C drop. There is a warning at the top of the page indicating that this data hasn’t been “quality controlled”. I guess that means they haven’t applied any of Mike Mann’s “tricks” to “hide the decline”?

I have a Ph.D in geophysics. I studied at the University of Utah with David Chapman. Chapman in turn studied under Henry Pollack, another thermal geophysicist, at the University of Michigan. Ironically, Pollack is now one of Gore’s advisors.
I have published dozens of papers in the peer-reviewed scientific literature on thermal geophysics.
As pointed out here, Gore’s statement is ridiculously, hopelessly, wrong. The temperature of rocks in geothermal fields is typically in the hundreds of deg C. The near-surface melting temperature of rock is in the neighborhood of 1000 C.
Gore is wrong by at least a factor of a thousand, or one-hundred-thousand percent.
This man, a politician and lawyer, is now advising the world on the science of climate and the technical field of energy?
God help us. This guy obviously does not have a clue.
And how can someone be so remarkably stupid as to believe we have
drill bits that can withstand “millions of degrees” of temperature?

Good ‘Ol Al , he’s still great for a laugh !
How can Al Gore , ( Mr. Enviromentalist ) continue to support the Man Made Global Warming Hoax when he knows that the ClimateGate X-Files has him and the Pro-Anthropological Global Warming community up against the wall .
Gore’s obvious Cop-Out was displayed to the World community when he cancelled his apperarence at The United Nations’ Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen last week DUE to ” Unforeseen Changes in his Schedule ?
What ? How could this be ? If Santa Claus appears every Christmas , and the Easter Bunny appears every Easter , and Cupid appears every Valentines Day , and the Great Pumpkin appears every Halloween , then surely Al Gore must appear at every United Nations Climate Change Conferences !
Al Gore’s diligent commitment to the Pro-Anthropological Global Warming campaign has made him the poster child for this issue for the last 10 years . Gore’s Acadamy and Grammy winning Awards for his material concerning Global Warming , including a Pulitzer Prize , National Book Awards in the US , an association with an Academy and Grammy Award-winning movie and documentry and Top Billing to numerous conferences, seminars and symposiums . Gore is Admired by men , Adored by women and Cherished by chiildren . AL GORE . . . is . . . Superman !
So how could Al Gore miss Copenhagen on December 7 , 2009 ? Well , like the Article title above , it seems that Al Gore either can’t comprehend a sense of time in his scheduling or he knows it’s not good sense to appear at this time . In these times in the United States where the Consitutional Rights of the people are jeopardized , it seems that Al Gores interests has been diverted away from Copenhagen and focused on his Fifth Admendment right.
The ClimateGate files have come into the spotlight , and with their concrete disclosure of Manipulation, Deception, Suppression of Evidence and FOIA violations exposed in the data and documents inclosed , Mr. Gore has chosen, and chosen wisely to step out of this particular spotlight .
Al Gore , Mr. Enviromentalist , the Superman of the Green Movement has met his demise in the name of ClimateGate . This well deserved disaster and tragedy of his enduring illusion that Global Warming is the product of Humanity has not only been demolished , but has also demoted his credibility and association with those who continue to enslave humanity.
If Al Gore was Superman , then ClimateGate is certainly his Kryptonite and while heads are rolling and careers of the criminally motivated scientists are placed in question , rest assure that Al Gore , or Superman will stay as far away from ClimateGate as he can .

That email displayed for November 12, 2009 had what damaging information in it? Gore was referring to the apparently damming email that was 10 years old — and the data made it into the IPCC anyway. At some point, someone has to do a little scientific fact checking. Consensus isn’t science.

December 11, 2009 3:21 pm

drewsi – “The fact that every credible science-based organization on the planet substantially agrees with Gore in regards to man-made climate change”
First of all, anyone who believes that there is NO credible scientists who disagree on man made global warming is ignorant on the subject, How about Prof. Mojib Latif of Germany’s Leibniz Institute?
Latif is one of the leading climate modellers in the world. He is the recipient of several international climate-study prizes and a lead author for the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). He has contributed significantly to the IPCC’s last two five-year reports that have stated unequivocally that man-made greenhouse emissions are causing the planet to warm dangerously.
Yet recently in Geneva, at the UN’s World Climate Conference–an annual gathering of the so-called “scientific consensus” on man-made climate change –Latif conceded the Earth has not warmed for nearly a decade and that we are likely entering “one or even two decades during which temperatures cool.” and nobody predicts a reduction in Carbon in the next few decades and we darn well know that there was none in the last decade.
Go read http://joannenova.com.au/globalwarming/the_skeptics_handbook_2-3_mq.pdf
2nd, all those sopposedly sophisticated computer models that predicted continued and never ending temp increases (which included the last 8 years) were wrong, temps have not gone up over the last 8 years and you want us all to belive these non credible computer models produced by scientists who have been proven to enter whatever data it takes to get the results out of them that they want? I think not.

In addition to “Can’t tell time”, the Reverend Al Gore can’t read a thermometer. Recently he claimed on TV that the earth is a miilion degrees at its core. (lol, spoken like a true science flunky, if that were true the earth would be a sun! The generally accepted earth core temperature is thought to be no more than 7,000 deg K) From this, one can surmise that he is feeling rather warm under the soles of his shoes, and will be beating a hasty retreat from his AGW position and begin promoting ….. drumroll ….. Geothermal Energy.

I’m not so sure Al Gore isn’t THE AUTHORITY on the temperature of the Earth’s core. The WUWT post “Gore cancels on Copenhagen lecture – leaves ticketholders in a lurch”, 3 December 2009 has a picture of Mr. Gore that with a little imagination clearly indicates Al knows whereof his forked tounge speaks. Wherever you plan to spend eternity, it’s a good idea to know what the temperature will be like.
