“Because what all three of those issues have in common is a group of advocates trying to bring about a morally-based change in policies that have caused tremendous harm,” Gore said when an NBC News reporter asked him about comparing his work to the civil rights and gay rights movement.
“In all three of those cases, there has been ferocious resistance to the change being advocated, and in all three of those cases, there have been advocates of change that were tempted to despair,” Gore said.
Gore said all three cases eventually “boiled down to a pretty simple choice between what’s right and what’s wrong.” Gore went on to quote Nelson Mandela about the anti-apartheid movement in 1990s South Africa. Gore was recently criticized for comparing his crusade against global warming to the abolition of slavery, ending apartheid, and the civil rights, women’s rights and gay rights movements — something he’s done many times in the past.
The global warming fight is “in the tradition of all the great moral causes that have improved the circumstances of humanity throughout our history,” Gore said in Australia in July, according to Climate Depot.
“The abolition of slavery, woman’s suffrage and women’s rights, the civil rights movement and the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa, the movement to stop the toxic phase of nuclear arms race and more recently the gay rights movement, Gore said.
Gore made similar comparisons during a 2013 interview with The Washington Post. In 2011, Gore compared winning “the conversation” on global warming to building support for civil rights.This time, black conservative activists criticized Gore’s comparison of slavery and civil rights to the fight against global warming.
“When Al Gore, Jr. associates these moral movements of history with one grounded in questionable data, he gives climate change activists unearned moral credibility they haven’t earned and don’t deserve,” Horace Cooper, co-chairman of the Project 21 initiative with the group Conservative Black Leadership.
Horace also pointed out that Gore’s father, a former Democratic Tennessee Senator, opposed civil rights initiatives in the 1960s, though he did support the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
“Fighting people being owned as property and debased in an entrenched system enshrined in law is akin to worshiping the idea that humans can materially impact the climate?” Project 21 co-chairman Stacy Washington asked in a statement.
“He cannot be serious!” Washington said.

Hansen’s thefts in the grants scam alone involve oversight of millions upon millions: which was how Hansen et al were able to generate literally dozens of papers within a period of a few years, stating that the world is going to end because a cold bath conduction chilling the planet, is a magic sky heater.
It’s theft with the promise that if you try to investigate you will immediately be sued in court and have all investigation into the matter sealed off by ‘government oversight over potential evidence.’
Michael Manns’ lawsuits are proof of this. Why sue people for sharing your work, when you start websites claiming you must have the world look at your work and realize the world is ending? It’s crime.
The fact Gore tried to influence people to change their political decision making in the face of threats of destruction is the word-for-word definition, of ‘terrorism.’
Government scam churls usually use the law to prosecute those who question their fake ‘sciences’ – closing off research, labeling everyone interested in the ‘science’ as a ‘scammer’ themselves, when they expose the scam – utilizing connections in media to simply FLOOD the populace with never ending stories about fake results.

We stop whaling and the whale numbers increase and so do the historical strandings dummy. Off southern Australia one of the most threatened whale species due to early whaling, the Southern Right is now saved completely and their numbers are doubling off our coast every 10 years. Nelson Mandela, a Marxist socialist who gave up peaceful ideas and adopted violence, managed to create the most radical racist black in-country terrorist organization in the world. Answer to why he compares the fight against climate change to abolitionists movements, etc: It’s all he has. He’s hoping it will work. Plus, the idea, global warming/climate change, he is pushing is an unsupported fantasy that will occur far, far into the future. Unless you anchor it to a concrete idea, people just think you’re the crazy guy on the corner with the sign saying the world is ending. Of course, they might think that anyway.

CO2 is greening the earth and improving crop yields.
Both links are to NASA. The improving crop yields site says that rising CO2 “will help and hurt crops.”
All the CO2 help part is data. All the CO2 hurt part is climate models. What could be more typical?

AS the debate, rolls on, I am perpetually surprised at the statements by the Liberal/Left/Warmist camp not just on climate change, but on almost everything.
Do they really think we are that stupid?

They are way beyond slavery and racism, into a dangerous elitism that simply regards the average citizen as supremely unimportant, with no views worth listening to. At least slaves had value, and received some care. Today’s slaves are slaves to the liberal machine of exploitation and mind control.
AGW is just one more nail in the coffin of emancipation. Instead of emancipating the African races, they have enslaved the European races instead.

what does climate alarmism have in common with communism? Both promise heaven on earth : liberation of workers, clean free energy. Both resulted (will result) in slave states. Both use(d) shameless lies and propaganda. Communism dit not free the workers but had them stand in line for bread while an elite had their own shops. Scarce energy from solar and wind requires large investments (100 * more resources needed per KW) and will create a class of poor. Both communism and climate alartmism easily may be regarded as revoltes of the elite. This explains why climate alarmism is unconditionally embraced by the higher educated classes. Wind power re establishes the relation between land (ownership) and energy : a new class of landlords will emerge.

Moron! How much the carbon dioxide gas will warm the atmosphere is not a moral issue. Gore thinks the earth’s crust is hotter than the sun’s surface so I’m not surprised he thinks gas molecules need moral reformation to save humanity.
In a way, Al Gore is correct, it IS a fight of freedom vs slavery. Modern Democrats, like their ante bellum predecessors, want to enslave people by telling them how to live, work, and, how much energy to use. In contrast, those OPPOSING the CAGW religion want people to be free to make their own choices in how much energy to use going to work, traveling, and playing.

The problem is that the slavery narrative to which the climate narrative is compared can usurp the climate narrative by way of substituting the emotions of the former for the later. Consequently, people get duped by their feelings about slavery, as they mistakenly substitute these feelings in place of logic, when trying to see the reality of climate change.
So, let me attempt a fix — enslaving people’s minds with unsupported fears about Earth’s climate change is like a mass killing of brain cells, not unlike Hitler’s mass killing of the Jews.
If Gore can invoke slavery, then I can invoke genocide.
Why does that remind me of those scientist and others who no longer or never did buy into the “CAGW” narrative being labeled “Deniers”?

Al Gore is coming to do a talk at my company soon. I do wish my company would spend its money on better things but it is their money so they can spend it on whatever they like. Benefits of capitalism and the main point in what President Trump was trying to say when he exited the US from the Paris agreement, at least what I took away from it. I have been trying to cobble together the best question I can that I believe will get past the moderators. So far the best I can think of is something along the lines of this:
If one side of a debate simply wants to discuss the facts, the science and the realistic results/consequences of a situation, but the other side calls to put the first group in jail or have them killed simply for disagreeing, how are we supposed to have an open discussion on the subject?
Thoughts or edits welcome. I don’t think I will be allowed to post his response, if I am able to ask the question at all, but I will try.
