SOLD OUT: Skeptic book 'Climate Change the Facts' (but one signed copy is available)

Just a few days ago I asked readers to send a message. Indeed they have. WUWT reader LeAnn writes via email:

Not only has the first printing of “Climate Change, The Facts” sold out at Amazon.com in less than 30 days, as of this morning, it’s “Amazon ranking” was #1,116 in the book department. (For contrast, Dana Nuccitelli’s book about pseudo-climate science has not sold out in the 2 1/2 months since it went on sale AND was ranked this AM by Amazon at #181,683.) BUT….when I checked this afternoon, Climate Change, The Facts has risen in Amazon Ranking to # 863!!!

Congratulations Anthony and all others involved in compiling this soon to be best seller!!!

Thanks LeAnn, and thanks WUWT readers! I’ll add that it is ranked #2 in climatology now, and as of this writing about 18 hours later has dropped to #1,218 in all books on Amazon, likely due to it being sold out and only Kindle orders can now be delivered until a new shipment comes in.

For those that want a printed copy now, I currently have two just like the one below:

climate-change-the-facts-photoHere’s how you can get a signed copy:

Given that I never got the small honorarium ( a few hundred dollars) I was promised by the publisher in Australia for writing my chapter, and I’m a bit short on cash at the moment, I’ve decided that I’ll auction off one of those copies, personally signed for the winner. This copy is particularly rare because it has the “2014” on it from the early and limited release in Australia. The copies sold in the United States don’t show the year.

I’ve setup an auction on Ebay for my copy, and I will autograph it in any way the winner wishes with a short message (with the usual limits keeping decorum).

See the Ebay auction HERE

Thanks to everyone that bought a copy! In the meantime if you want a Kindle version from Amazon, or want to get the printed version shipped to you when back in stock, go to the Amazon listing for the book. Thanks, Anthony

UPDATE: For everyone who had shipping issues with Ebay auction, I’ve fixed that now. Thanks for your interest.

Is there a reason that there is no contribution by Steve McIntyre?

It’s currently #2 for Climatology, #3 for Environmental Science, #2 for Environmental Policy on Kindle downloads. [#1 in Climatology and #2 in Environmental Science is “Isaac’s Storm: A Man, a Time (1900), and the Deadliest Hurricane in History”, a historical work which, of course, has little or nothing to do with Climatology or Environmental Science.]

The book is still advertised for sale on the publisher’s website with the implication that it can be shipped anywhere. ipa.org.au

Short on cash? I thought those ‘Big Oil’ checks were flowing into your account?
Could it be that your well funded propaganda opponents are not telling the truth? Well, colour me surprised!

Anthony,
I’d be happier if the eBay listing didn’t include the words “signed by the author”. This is too much like claiming to be a Nobel Peace Prize winner as one of a group of 5,000………

If one wins the signed edition no doubt they will have an unsigned edition for sale 🙂
Anthony, thank you, you run a great site….

I have Kindle, but ordered a hardcopy probably 10 minutes after AW put the book notice on WUWT on May 15. Received it Monday, and its been my bathroom reading staple now for 3 days. I’ve gotten through the Dr. Lindzen essay. Very impressed with the quality. Dr. Soon is next. Can’t wait.
Thanks to all the authors. I put a 5 star review on Amazon as a verfied purchaser.

Should I read this book pre-review-consensus or after? If I could get some kinda advice consensus that would be helpful.

“Which leaves out why or how 50 % of the co2 being produced today is being absorbed somewhere,”
IPCC says 43%, World Bank 4 C says 45%, IGSS says 40%. That’s known as consensus.

I am very happy that this book has done so well. I was an early donor in getting it published through the IPA (I’m a member, too). Got my first-run copy on my shelf. And my name’s on the back.
Sorry, Anthony, that you didn’t get paid for your contribution. At least we can have some fun fighting the good fight.

Hi Anthony
I’ve read the book. How can I get a copy signed by all of the authors. Will pay $1,000.00 USD.

I went to the Amazon site on Wednesday and they offered it in paperback but noted it was currently sold out. I placed the order that day with standard shipping and they said it would ship when available. I was surprised on Friday when I found it in my mailbox, less than 48 hours from when I placed the order.
