So much has been going on this week, and today especially, that I almost forgot that Willis Eschenbach has a very special birthday today.
Since Willis contributes a great deal here, I want to give him my thanks and well wishes, and hope that you will also.

Just wanted to be different so I thought I’d be pedantic and say Happy Anniversary Willis!
On the basis that we only have one birthday – the rest are anniversaries.
Oh hell………..happy birthday anyway – and many, many more!
Happy Birthday, pal.
Somehow makes me think of your mother… I have special hopes that she ended happy; or at least content.
Happy Birthday!
My linear projection of the tree ring proxy data predicts that next year at this very time you could be a year older, that is, if there aren’t any missing rings!
Many Happy Returns on your Birthday Willis, and hope your day was great.
cheers Jessie
Hear, hear!
Happy Birthday Willis !
…and many happy returns!

Happy birthday Willis! Thank you for great inspiration and fantastic work.

I always enjoy your well-written articles.
Years ago, as the story goes, some famous physicist was asked what he did.
He told the person to ask Isaac Asimov to explain what he did.
In a way, you have become our “Isaac Asimov” on climate and and the atmosphere.
Most of us, I feel sure, appreciate that.
Thanks
Happy 65th Willis. You have taught me a lot with your excelent writings. WUWT is the best climate & Science Site. It keeps my brain active as I too was born in 1947.
Happy Birthday, Mr. Eschenbach (my parents always taught me to respect my Elders :p) Your scientific work here is much appreciated, as are the tales from your well-traveled life.
Happy Birthday, Willis. Your post on floating islands stays with me…
Simply go back and adjust the data from 1947 to show 1955 and you are now only 57! I did the same on my 60th and it feels wonderful. BTW you are now eligible to live in Florida.
Some fun at the expense of the de0wn goal crowd. Cheers.

May the CO2 laden wind always be at your back and the spotted sun upon your face.
Happy Birthday Willis! Many thanks for your insightful analyses and thought-provoking articles. May you continue to be productive way into the future.
Happy Birthday Willis, welcome to the club. I beat you there by 53 days.
I’ve examined the data carefully and plotted the trend and it appears that Willis’ age increases by one at each year on the time axis. There is no change to the trend regardless of which decade I try to cherry pick.
Happy birthday, Willis.

Happy Birthday, Willis!
Happy Birthday Willis! Always look forward to your posts.
All the best.
Happy birthday Willis!
All the best wishes from Norway! :o)
Dear Willis,
I wish you a happy birthday from Australia. I enjoy your sense of humour and enthusiasm. As a skeptic with hardly any science education, your writings have helped me to understand what is going on. I love your “Floating Islands” piece on Anthony Watts’ blog and sent it to my friends and associates.
A Lake Macquarie property developer is taking the NSW Lake Macquarie City Council to court regarding the restrictions on landholders around the lake because of sea level rise. I am gathering information on sea levels, the precautionary principle, CAGW climate change “science/politics”, IPCC, Rio +20, Climategate 1 and 2, NSW State Government Sea level rise policy statement and Derivation of the NSW Government’s sea level rise planning benchmarks to send to the developer in the hope his lawyers might find a detail they haven’t seen before. I would love the court case to expose publicly the whole CAGW non-problem/fraud.
Best wishes… Faye
