1. A forum for open discussion in a civil manner
2. A test for Windows Live Writer to see how well it does for creating a blog post.

Well, here’s part of the issue, ‘Bucky’ – one involving terms and definitions and history who actually created ‘the prize’.
IOW, it ain’t [sic] the “Nobel Prize in Economics”, it’s the “Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel“.
Per wiki:
The Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, commonly referred to as the Nobel Prize in Economics,[1] is an award for outstanding contributions to the field of economics.[2] It is generally considered one of the most prestigious awards for that field.[3] The official name is the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel. …
It is not one of the Nobel Prizes established by the will of Alfred Nobel in 1895, but is commonly identified with them. The Prize in Economics, as it is referred to by the Nobel Foundation, was established and endowed by Sveriges Riksbank, Sweden’s central bank, during 1968 on the Bank’s 300th anniversary.

I love how the news media is doing this latch ditch effort to brain wash the masses.

A deepening desire to disbelieve: Why US remains last redoubt of climate ‘denialism’

In the paper, Columbia University geoscientist Wally Broecker calculated how much carbon dioxide would accumulate in the atmosphere in the coming 35 years, and how temperatures consequently would rise. His numbers have proven almost dead-on correct. Meanwhile, other powerful evidence poured in over those decades, showing the “greenhouse effect” is real and is happening. And yet resistance to the idea among many in the U.S. appears to have hardened.
What’s going on?

Who wrote this stupid article, Al Gore?
Did Columbia University geoscientist Wally Broecker numbers the Global Cooling” or is tit the numbers only work when they use the bogas data that the CRU generated?
Speaking of warming…. I just replaced my refrigerator’s defrost heater again. It’s a totally crappy design consisting of an UN-sealed coil of wire (Ni-Cr I assume) inside of a glass tube. Of course it just oxidizes and eventually dies in about 8 to 10 years. If I was just a wee bit more enthusiastic I’d figure out the wattage and replace it with a SS sheathed ceramic cartridge heater; maybe next time.
DirkH,
EPRT’s are excellent in that they are cheaper, but the downside is the lack of a union dues paying driver(conductor?). Also should keep the prostitutes off the street by giving them a place to conduct transactions. 🙂
