Gore associate said to be named in brewing ethics scandal

UPDATED: link below

Chris Horner, author of the recently released book, Power Grab: How Obama’s Green Policies Will Steal Your Freedom And Bankrupt America, revealed that a major ethics scandal involving someone in the Obama administration will be unveiled on Monday. Here is the complete quote that comes at the 29:01 mark of the interview on a Saturday Radio program (link follows)

“You’re going to see the first ethics scandal in the Obama administration. We’ve got our hands on some internal

documents revealing a serious conflict of interest at a very high level on these green jobs and stimulus and the

policies that Carol Browner was talking about. It isn’t Ms. Browner, but it is someone tied to Al Gore.”

The source of this information is Mark Gillar’s radio program, here

Chris Horner advises that a story will appear Monday morning, and that he has documentation of the issue. When available, a summary and link will appear at WUWT.

This is not new though, is it? I remember reading a similar thing a few months back regarding Cathy Zoi being in a position to give business to her husband’s firm. Is there a conflict of interest? Absolutely. Has a crime been committed? I doubt it. The real question though is the reaction of the American people. In Russia, Italy and other corrupt countries this is simply seen as perks of the job. The Mayor of Moscow has put millions in contracts into his wife’s business and nobody bats and eye.

Glenn Beck is promising quite a show tonight regarding cap&trade, Goldman Sachs, etc. I think he will claim the next huge bubble is almost completely engineered and is ready for deployment. Should be fun.

Thanks to “Climate Gate” environment things now become transparent. In other countries, past, future and present, where governments have grown too much, the fastest way -and in some places, the only way-to reach a “decent” way of living it is by “making money” through the government. There are only two choices: To be poor or to “work” for the government.

Is this the old Gore/DOW CHEMICAL relationship?
Besides how can a guy with no ethics have a ethical scandal?

I found this titbit in the article revealing:-
“…“Smart meters,” put simply, are electric meters that return information about customer power usage to the power company immediately and allow a power company to control the amount of power a customer can consume. These smart meters are a central component of the Obama administration’s plans to reduce electricity consumption as part of the “smart grid.”
In a rare moment of candor, Obama “Energy Czar” Carol Browner said to US News & World Report last year: “We need to make sure that …[e]ventually, we can get to a system where an electric company will be able [sic] to hold back some of the power so that maybe your air conditioner won’t operate at its peak, you’ll still be able to cool your house, but that’ll be a savings to the consumer.”
Clearly, DoE funding to encourage the adoption of “smart meters” would very likely lead to much increased sales by Landis+Gyr — and a potential windfall for Zoi. But surely Zoi doesn’t participate in the relevant “energy efficiency” policy? ,,,”
Not sure she needs to be directly involved in the decision, when she has an advocate like Carol Browner working at the coal-face.

This is an inverted evolution law: The “survival” of the unfitted.
Quite promptly your sons and daugthers will learn that just by working hard they can not go anywhere, then the last remnants of a moral society order will disappear. Etical behaviour it is not a thing for fools but it is the best way for all, when this is changed everyone loses, even the so called (by themselves, of course, “smartest guys”) and then, after a lot of suffering things will have to be reestablished to normal again. I don’t know how you call it in english, but all what is easy get it is also easy lost…not only that but those who think they always win, history shows, end in very ugly ways.
In the end, the now “smart guys”, will end being, again, what they have always been: The fool ones.

The Obama adm. is essentially a “Commie in the Candy Store”, dedicated to at least looting America at large of all possible present and future productivity via taxation and gigantic deficit spending, and otherwise taking “wealth” from anyone who who has anything at all to get/loot = “too much”, then redirecting enough of it to Obama adm. cronies and supporters to possibly buy enough votes and kicked-back support to continue doing it as long as possible.
Destroying America per se is an added Progressive “value”/Commie Cult fetish: ~”America with its evil White ‘Racist’ ‘Imperialist’ Capitalists deserves it.” It’s the Progressive/Commie version of Gordon Gekko’s, “Greed is good,” with a special “progressive” emphasis on the destruction of anything having real value.
Me, “I hope he fails.”

The weatherization czar? Related to a company that does weatherization? Oh my. The SmartMeter product can do remote sensing and metering of electricity. It has features that allow to switch off a/c and refrigeration.
The weatherization boondoggle is massive. Lots of money, very few projects, lots of beaureaucrats and inspectors and money wasted.
Looks like Zoi reports to a cheater. Carl Browner was famous for deleting files and telling companies to not keep records.

Pajamas Media has a story up about this, identifying the Obama official involved.
It doesn’t surprise me, everyone is jumping on this green money train. That is why this train needs to be stopped before we bankrupt ourselves further. Here is the link:

Gore hope it does not end in what this name means: the shedding of blood resulting in murder, battue, bloodshed, bloodletting, bloodbat. All caused by abhorrence, abomination, anathema, animosity, animus, antagonism, antipathy, aversion, black beast, bother, bugbear, bête noire, detestation, disgust, enmity, execration, frost*, grievance, gripe, hatred, horror, hostility, ill will, irritant, loathing, malevolence, malignity, mislike, nasty look, no love lost, nuisance, objection, odium, pain, rancor, rankling, repugnance, repulsion, resentment, revenge, revulsion, scorn, spite, trouble, venom.
Wow! if not the anti-christ, what else? ☺ Anyone a vaccine against it?

Well, I imagine if John McCain had asked for whites to come out to elect him that the media would’ve had a field day with it. Obama has played the race card from the get-go and it has been consistently ignored.

I reviewed the updated link to the article, and as someone already said, by Washington standards this isn’t earth shattering. Clear conflict of interest yes, but not earth shattering.
What struck me more was the reference to the smart power meters. Does this administration really believe that they can impose government regulated maximum power use to the average consumer? On the premise that it is saving the consumer money by not letting them run their own air conditioners for their own good? Are you kidding me? Is that for real? Gotta go now, see my stock broker, find out who are the dominant players in home sized power generators, I can see their market picking up soon… until the rationing cards for fuel come out of course….

But you must understand. Didn’t you people see the documentary about the future they showed at the beginning of Copenhagen?
The future of the whole planet is at stake. The children!!!
There’s bound to be a few teeny weeny little bits of corruption in a project this large but we can’t let that stop us from curing this planetary fever.
Now that the prestigious UK scientific establishment has reviewed the science and found it as sound as the pound, we must march onwards.
I just wish there were more taxes to pay or laws to obey so I could feel greener. Maybe I’ll just sign up to the WWF’s ‘adopt a polar bear’ program so I can start making monthly payments now.
