Gore associate said to be named in brewing ethics scandal

UPDATED: link below

Chris Horner, author of the recently released book, Power Grab: How Obama’s Green Policies Will Steal Your Freedom And Bankrupt America, revealed that a major ethics scandal involving someone in the Obama administration will be unveiled on Monday. Here is the complete quote that comes at the 29:01 mark of the interview on a Saturday Radio program (link follows)

“You’re going to see the first ethics scandal in the Obama administration. We’ve got our hands on some internal

documents revealing a serious conflict of interest at a very high level on these green jobs and stimulus and the

policies that Carol Browner was talking about. It isn’t Ms. Browner, but it is someone tied to Al Gore.”

The source of this information is Mark Gillar’s radio program, here

Chris Horner advises that a story will appear Monday morning, and that he has documentation of the issue. When available, a summary and link will appear at WUWT.

Here it is:

“…Is this Gore-gate?
…”
It certainly SHOULD be…

Ethical considerations are an irrelevant annoyance in this administration.

As others said, Stoessel had raised this some time ago. I also recall – may be its the same program – a story about a DoE policy person whose husband built energy efficient windows and was a beneficiary of the stimulus package.
Gore has set the tone for this administration: hypocritical, hedonistic hyperbole

Last week this administration was exposed to have corrupt Senate candidate conversation with the Governor of Illinois. They denied the conversation. Today it is another problem that is denied.

Unfortunately any necessary defeat of cap and trade will likely speed the implementation of the VAT tax.

No wonder Big O’s approval rating is sinking. All the dupes who voted for him are abandoning ship.

Come on, this will never be reported anywhere but the internet, and even there sparsely. In the view of the MSM, if there’s not an (R) by the name, it’s not news.
Seriously – there will be no “ethics” scandal – this guy was just doing what they all do, and they will just laugh it off.

Erik, that Hardtalk interview is PURE GOLD!!
There is no way that Sackur could have walked away from that interview believing a word those two said!
What a team!!
How could anyone watch that interview and not see them as snake oil salesmen…. just PURE GOLD! Fantastic entertainment!!
I honestly don’t think I’ve seen Gore and Pachauri look as stupid on TV before (and that’s saying something) 1 million degrees anyone?

By the way, has Rangel settled his tax bill yet? All I know is that the IRS came after me with nuclear weapons when I did not respond to an audit notice that was lost in the mail (and so I could not reply to it, duh)

Is anyone here really surprised by this? I’ve been saying this forever but this has always been about money and power not science.

After Copenhagen, George Soros (convicted felon and funding operator of climate progress) was drooling over setting up a 100 billion dollar fund for “investing” in carbon credits for developing countries. Now that Zoe is outed as an investor operator for several green companies, how many more are at the government trough?
This is gubment welfare for the green companies that will make up green jobs and claim to “help” save the planet.
It was horrible timing to attack Goldman Sachs last week. They were lined up to be the prommoter of carbon credits and carbon currency.
We should rename the dollar and call it the US CRoney.

Clearly, DoE funding to encourage the adoption of “smart meters” would very likely lead to much increased sales by Landis+Gyr — and a potential windfall for Zoi. But surely Zoi doesn’t participate in the relevant “energy efficiency” policy?

What is not to like about smart meters? They can switch down a little jooce and give you a little brown out when the wind turbins are slow and schools need full power to see power point pics on dyimng Poley bears.
The smart meter can tell when you popped on the lights after coming home late after a tea party.

This “currently” sounds like a very issolated incident. Something that happens day in and day out in Washington, London, Rome, Moscow, Tokyo, etc. I’m somewhat doubtful that it will amount to anything that will slow down anyone from doing the kind of things that make them richer than they ought to be.
PS: Corruption is a condition of life. It comes in too many forms to count. If it can, it will — be corrupted! C’est la vie!

I’ve been saying all along that the “green” in these jobs is that of the money.

Stossel’s report showed video clips of a Serious Materials representative introducing President Obama and CEO Kevin Surace thanking Vice President Biden for his “unwavering support.”
The report also pointed out that the company’s policy director is married to Cathy Zoi, Asst. Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. Stossel called her the “weatherization boss.”

There is one of Maurice Strong’s Buddies:
Ira Einhorn is considered a founder of Earth Day in 1970. He is currently serving a life sentence for killing his girl friend and “composting” her in a trunk in his closet.
“Arlen Specter’s involvement with the Ira Einhorn case is an important event in the party-switching Senator’s career that curious readers would want to know about — if the establishment media cared to note it.”

BTW, Gore has been gaming this system since he was VP. Go back and look at a little Massachusetts company called Molten Metals and look at what happened there.
No big surprise that one of the biggest investors in MM was one Maurice Strong.

April 26, 2010 7:58 am

This is certainly bad news for Obama, but anybody who’s surprised at corruption in the “green” movement has spent the last two years asleep. Still, it’s good that the culture of silence through oppression is eventually breaking.
