Bishop Hill has a cohort, Josh, that has turned Climategate and the blogospheric response into a running series of cartoons.
During his blogging sabbatical while he turned his attention to mining (not the data kind), I think Steve McIntyre missed this one, so I’ll present it here.

Some others of interest are:
Not sure, but I think this one is supposed to be Tamino.

And of course, VS and his unit root groupies from the now famous Bart thread:

Bishop Hill has a cohort, Josh…
They should do a study.
Josh,
I give up. In your cartoon ‘The Satistician – a legend in his own lunchbreak’ there is brownish ‘thing’ on the far side of the computer and partly obsured by it.
What the heck is that?
Great comics you do. {Yoda speak} The Charles Schultz of the climate comics? : )
John
Um,… I have a bad feeling about this. Satire is mockery. Istm skeptics are being
mocked by those cartoons.

Looks like the end of a guitar, half the pegs showing with curly string ends. (No I do not know the “technical” names.)

kadaka,
Yeah, could be. So the Statistician protrayed by Josh could be a guitar enthusiast? Who is it?
John
One of Tamino’s alter-egos is a musician and actually has a bit of a following.
The thread on the VS cartoon seems to have taken on a life of its own.
Never since the Danish Islamist cartoon incident has there been so much offense taken by a simple picture.

Sure. That makes sense because Grant used to spend his weekends as a minstrel at renaissance faires. Who knows. Probably still does.
When I see the freecreditreport “Renaissance Fair” commercial I think of Tammy wearing his pointy slippers and green wool tights.
Robert,
Ahhhhh, that is interesting.

How about one of the Screeching Mercury Monkeys?

It seems the good perfesser “regrets” not telling Dr. Phil that he shouldn’t be trying to delete e-mails.
Looks like the reporter at least talked to Steve McIntyre.
It would be singularly inappropriate for a bishop to have a cohort in the original sense, because a cohort was a Roman army unit equivalent to a battalion, about 600 men. Since the Roman army is no longer deployed, the word has changed its meaning to mean a group of sorts, largely in science referring to groups of experimental subjects. What it does definitely not mean is a colleague or companion. Please amend, as such use is tabloid-level ignorance.
Leon Brozyna : “And, on top of their many other admirable qualities, skeptics have a sense of humor.”
I don’t!
Here’s a link to a humorous bunch of cartoons by Mike Reed, on “Internet Warriors,” which are drawn in a style similar to Josh’s:

Q. How many warmists does it take to screw in a light bulb?
A. THAT’S NOT FUNNY!!!!
Wooo hooo! That picture of the unit root about to crush that scientist! Man that’s funny. He looks like a real sociopath. Josh you worked hard to get the mad grin on his face. Take that scientists, nothing like a good bludgeoning with a 10ft hammer to knock some sense into them.
Satire that uses themes of violence to belittle the target..soooooo funny.

You do understand that if it turns out that the deeper oceans don’t store the missing heat – and thus, no heat would be accumulating currently – this would indicate the presence of at least one unit root, in other words, the temperatures could not be a rising trend plus noise in that case?
This would be the end of the current AGW theory. And the deeper ocean is their last hope because the accumulating heat is neither in the atmosphere nor in the upper ocean (0-700m).
So, the image reflects the threat pretty well i think.

Was that the lead-acid bat pack with the continuously rotating knob on the side of the lamp? Clunky ole thing. These youngsters have got it easy with the new led ones, eh?
