Bet they used a proxy that does not reflect actual site visits.

Anthony,
Congratulations, good work. Maybe you could expand your links. I use your site as a portal to other sites. You might include more new and worthwhile skeptic sites and subdivide your links in sub-classes.

what a lovely hockey stick! congratulations, Anthony!
I truly sense that the tide is turning and your contribution with its unique mix of science, critical observation, thorough measurement, humor and outrage is pivotal.
with best wishes for more global sanity,

I thought of a good title for a web page to write, “Tipping Points and Talking Points,” but seem to have no free time to do so. Another tipping point I have to remember now for when I have time. Sigh. 🙂

LOL! Take that Gavin!
I’ve visited wattsup multiple times per day since about January.

Cool
That means we are spreading the word. I forward your comments and the link a couple of times a week to let people know that the issue is not settled.
Of course, I suspect that my former friends on the other side of this issue no longer read my emails, so I am probably only preaching to the choir. But if I can get only one person to question what they have been told by the Main Stream Media, then my efforts have been worth while.
Keep up the good work!

This is especially interesting since this site and CA mentioned RC all the time, but RC (from what I hear) doesn’t mention WUWT or CA at all in their main posts.

Hmmm, I see no net increase in Realclimate.org traffic recently. Perhaps their site traffic has a direct relationship to global temperature anamolies! 😀
It appears Anthony is on fire! Good job, and keep up the great work!

It’s a nice graph, but I think Alexa is about as useful a guage of internet popularity as a thermometer in a car park.

You cheated Anthony! My guess is that you knew calmness and reason and a belief in truth would win out. No fair!

I see some raw data in desperate need of adjustments!

If you really want to see impact, use that same site, same comparison, but run the view out to max.
It shows that Anthony, since starting his site, has shown a continous upward trend, compared to the “random noise” associated with RC.
It also shows something else: since RC doesn’t provide links to you (and neither do Tamino, Eli and others), then people are finding your site without their help (they’re not getting here from there).
Recently, it appears that news articles are referencing more to here and CA rather than RC and company. That only boosts your rank.
Looks really bad when a single weatherman gets more hits to his blog than a room full of climate scientists…

It appears we have a heretic general now leading the way for a full scale backlash…against the powers of evil!
Heh. But seriously, it’s good to know that people can look at REAL DATA and make conclusions, not just jump on a bandwagon that’s ‘socially proggramed,’ by paranoid people whom think humans are soley to blame.
As a result of this site, and many others (starting with DAILYTECH’s global cooling article back in January)…I have been spreading the word on AGW falsehoods…just like I always knew it was: FALSE!
Thank you sun…

Where’s the Little Ice Age ant the Medieval Warm Period? I can’t believe these people!?!?! History papers cite separate anecdotal increases from Greenland to Siberia and southwest back to Subsaharan Africa in great detail. And yet this sucker is flat, flat, flat!

June 7, 2008 11:46 am

Alexa isn’t very good generally. But, many think it’s not so bad when comparing sites on similar topics.

Hey, I have an idea!
Let’s promote, getting Anthony nominated for a Scientific Nobel Peace Prize for providing the platform that is “exposing” the “Political Science” AGW Scam for what it is.
REPLY: While this is pure fantasy, that’s one award I’d definitely turn down, then demand they give it to Irena Sendler posthumously.

I found your site about a month ago. Your content here is the right message at the right time, and I think the traffic will only continue to increase. After about 15 years of social programming, sometime in the past year or so, the green community decided it had reached critical mass to move ahead with “taxation, regulation, and legislation” (the three cornerstones of liberal government, to quote Mitch McConnell).
Sadly for them (but happily for humanity), their timing happened to run into cooling temperatures and rising energy costs. Most Americans get a little suspicious when the “answer” to any problem is higher taxes, increased regulation, and a lower standard of living. They will seek out the truth on the Internet, since the msm has failed us, and they will find persuasive information here.
Keep up the good work…

Hey Anthony, those look like some pretty darn impressive hit figures on Alexa. Congratulations.
REPLY:Thanks. I’m pretty sure now I get more hits than the Chico Beat. 😉

Oops, that was supposed to be “taxation, regulation, and litigation” – didn’t mean to misquote the honorable senator…

I was lecturing on “Gorebal Warming” aboard a ship during a trans-Atlantic repositioning cruise to the UK from late March through early April this year. The accumulated masses not in the casino (about 250 to 400 attendees) clamored for more information sources to confirm my radical centrists’ take on the subject. I directed them to wattsupwiththat.com as the best, most honest site on the subject of climate change and the source for the . I’m not claiming credit for the increased visitation to wattsup. Those I direct are more like the 0.0002% anthropogenic CO2 contributes to the total natural CO2 in the atmosphere.
REPLY: Thanks Peter. -Anthony
