La Scala to stage Gore’s ‘Inconvenient Truth’
MILAN, Italy (AP) — First it was the film and the book. Now the next stop for Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” is opera.
La Scala officials say the Italian composer Giorgio Battistelli has been commissioned to produce an opera on the international multiformat hit for the 2011 season at the Milan opera house. The composer is currently artistic director of the Arena in Verona.
Bring your marshmallows.
I would go to see it just to find out how bad it is.
Perhaps the opera will be named, “Algoretto”. The most remembered aria will of course be “Il clima e mobile”. (Apologies to Verdi)

The incredible ignorance regarding climate change of our leading politicians and legislators of both Houses of congress constitutes an extremely serious threat to our freedom and perhaps our lives as well. I just heard Barack Obama, whom I have supported with my vote in CA, saying ..” and we’ll put a stop to global warming and here I’m using my words.. we’ll spend 250B on some coney island sausage of a misguided legislative bondoggle that will count on the fear mongering of ‘environmental heroes’ to modify everyone’s behavior.
Hillary and McCain are the same, so it seems that we’re in a real fix that is only going to get worse. Thanks again for this website and links!:]
