From Dr. Roy Spencer’s Global Warming Blog
by Roy W. Spencer, Ph. D.
While some among us continue to be distracted by supposed “chemtrails” high in the atmosphere, lurking right under our noses has been the ultimate conspiracy: Cartrails.
Modern cars are programmed to emit cartrails, containing nefarious and noxious chemicals. As many people can attest, breathing problems become worse in cities where these vehicles-emitting-deadly-vapour-trails are most concentrated.
This never happened many years ago; I know because my grandfather (who was born in the late 1800s) once told me they NEVER had cartrails back when he was a kid.
So, what kinds of chemicals are they poisoning us with? Well, many years ago it was lead in gasoline. But we found out about that conspiracy, which was meant to destroy the nervous systems of our children. So, what was lead replaced with?
That’s an interesting story. My confidential whistleblower (who must remain nameless for fear of retribution) tells me that the government people got together with the car manufacturing people and the petroleum refining people, and they found a NEW way to poison us: platinum, palladium and rhodium microparticles inside super-heated boxes innocuously called “catalytic converters”.
Do you know what palladium microparticles do to the human nervous system??
Well, neither do I. But I’m sure it isn’t good.
The opportunity to poison us with our own cars is SO much more efficient than “chemtrails”. First, the poisoning occurs right here at ground-level, where we breathe the air into our fragile lungs.
Secondly, the amount of fuel used by cars and trucks is many times that used by jet aircraft, thus increasing the human exposure.
Finally, the emissions are nearly invisible on most days. How sinister is that?? Invisible pollution!
And this is why they make jet aircraft emit so much water vapor (which produces cirrus clouds). It’s to keep people distracted with chemtrail theories so that we don’t realize the real threat is right under our noses: Cartrails. You heard it here first. Spread the word. Start a cartrail blog. Vent your fears and frustrations on social media. Go for it.

It being April First, it is still appalling how many people do not get the joke in Penn and Teller’s petition to ban DHMO (DiHydrogenMonOxide).
If one applies the linear no threshold to it, of course it is banned and everyone goes to prison for polluting.
I think the AmeriTemp post was a slightly better April Fool but thank you Roy for brightening up my day!
Things have got so bad that Apr 1 can’t compete with the rest of the year. Boiling seas, for example, or the mass extinction event. If you came up with those on Apr 1, no-one would be fooled.
You forgot tipping points.
I always thought a tipping point was my seat at the bar where I hoisted a cold one.
Its April 2nd down here ! 😉
But its actually the tyre rubber we have to worry about.
Their aim is coat everything with synthetic rubber compounds to do “something” (not sure what though.. they are with-holding that information.)
ps, that is why they want everyone to drive much heavier EVs… more tyre wear !
I went to a very good engineering school. Studying tire wear it turns out that the process is best considered to be a long sheet of plastic (like a paper towel roll) that lays out one molecule per revolution.
You will never look at tires the same way again.
Where would you put traces of a chemical agent where no one would suspect your nefarious intent? WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID!! It’s everywhere! 🙂
Multiple variations, especially the de-icer variety!
laugh all you want. only God knows what’s in the snow mist behind a snowmobile or the wake behind a speed boat.
I can’t even…..
That is “pure” DiHydrogen Monoxide!
DiHydrogen Monoxide can be a killer. We need to take the proliferation of DiHydrogen Monoxide seriously.
I have to send this to my cousin who is quite sure that chemtrails are poisoning him. He can have something else to worry about. Hehe.
“This never happened many years ago; I know because my grandfather (who was born in the late 1800s) once told me they NEVER had cartrails back when he was a kid.”
Only horse droppings. All my grandparents were born in the 1880s. Makes me feel old- which I am.
They had horse trails.
Just wait until we all have to drive electric vehicles, then, it will be all those free flowing electrons that will get us
highly excited vibrating electrons, no less
And you should be very concerned about those electrons produced by nuclear power plants.
CO poisoning is rampant from cars
That hasn’t been true for at least 40 years.
Between O2 sensors and catalytic converters CO levels are down to parts per trillion.

https://spectrumnews1.com/wi/milwaukee/news/2023/08/01/3-u-s–marines-died-carbon-monoxide-poisoning-car-how-can-happen
https://www.tdi.texas.gov/blog/know-the-dangers-of-carbon-monoxide-poisoning.html
So, failing to maintain your car or stupidly running it in a garage with the garage door down can cause elevated of CO.
None of that has anything to do with cartrails.
Nor is it “rampant.”
Either an attempt to participate in the april’s fools day or a missing sarc tag.
The third option I spare you, you’ve been voted down enough already .
But feel free to trail my pipe (sarcastic hint)
Ok, Rampant is too strong, but as my post below shows, there is still a problem
If you so believe…your choice, YOUR problem 😉
One cannot cure stupidity or laziness.
In all 3, the root cause was human inaction or negligence.
I agree.
Every day, I walk down the street, and due to CO poisoning from cars, I drop dead.
But you get better.
sometimes
Cars have tails. What? Oh, never mind!
On the other hand, a nasty beige industroFart hangs over OhStink, TexAss most daze. Only heavy rain, or strong winds clear the air.
Nope. Not gonna buy a Tesla, even if Elon seems to be a good guy politically.
Palladium, Platinum and Rhodium are all heavy metals, and as everyone knows, heavy metals are poisonous in small amounts. It is because they are heavy that this is so dangerous, as their microparticles fall off the atoms easier than with lighter metals.
What about bog trails? Noxious emissions in a small room we have to visit daily, whether we like it or not.
Trouble is nowadays you expect April Fools to become implemented policy in May-
It’s not an April Fools’ Joke any more… | MGUY Australia
When men stop believing in God to explain the inexplicable they’ll become pronouns and legislate anything.
And what about the sneaky way the landscaping industry has been co-opted into killing and maiming us by spreading deadly mower-trails. Right in our own back yards! And then there are the canine-killers (not killing canines but killing us and our progeny) spreading deadly dog-poop (did you ever look on the label to see what drugs and poisons are in dog food?) all over our lawns and parks.
When will it end? Only when our great green earth is completely void of Homo Sapiens!
The horror! the horror!
Life finds a way.
Why blame cars for cartrails?
It’s the evil concrete and asphalt companies in America! Big CACA!
So it begins in Oz with ICE car rationing just like the UK-
Kia to throttle supply of petrol cars to help meet Australia’s new-vehicle emissions rules
but you must have the grid infrastructure in place for the fantasy-
Electric buses allegedly charged using diesel generators
and they clearly haven’t budgeted for the ugly user pays capital cost of grid upgrade to supply the power these busses need.
story tip
Roy,
Slightly related to your fun article, here is a serious study of poisoning by the element Lead, Pb.
I wrote parts of it over 40 years, then decided to go public with it recently after adding an ending.
However, when you go public with an article that poo-poohs the current wisdom, any number of people grab little bits and say they are wrong. I call the other side “The Establishment” to describe the shoe for those who do not know that they wear it.
It follows that to combat nit-picking, the modern sceptical author needs to include many references and almost invariably this leads to a long article, hence TL:DR.
I would greatly appreciate if a few people did read this article with a view to showing my errors so I can correct them.
Thank you Geoff S Scientist
