The ability to accumulate ice mass on the surface is demonstrated here to be undiminished from the mean of the base period 1981-2010. Sure, there is variation year-to-year, so that has to be considered. But wasn’t 2023 the “hottest ever recorded” and isn’t 2024 on track to be “hotter” yet?

North polar stratospheric ozone still at record highs and has been for months… why?
Their many years of lack of credibility was finally exposed in spades to the lulled public by their criminal measures on COVID, such as their touting of high-cost big Pharma solutions, instead of well-known, low-cost drug solutions, as in India, etc.
Every medication has adverse effects, those from the COVID19 vaccines are no worse than from the smallpox, influenza and other vaccines or the heparins. The attached image is of the side effects of the tetracycline family of antibiotics. See https://bnf.nice.org.uk/drugs/doxycycline/#side-effects
Go to the BNF.nice.org.uk website and select any drug and you can find the adverse effects. Look at Ivermectin.
Based on all cause mortality data, the Covid shots did not save any US lives.
The covid shots were, by far, the least safe and least effective shots in US medical history, since data were collected in 1990. The same results for many other nations
Ivermectin did not cure SARS2/Covid19 but was effective in keeping people out of the hospital.
I look forward to finding out what other subjects you know nothing about.
No one is that good in predicting the markets – any markets.
Ford thought that EVs was going to be a hit, and the stock holders got hit hard by reality.
Who knew that NVidia would be a FOMO stock?
Boeing thought that they would be leading in air and space craft.
Teachers unions believed that there would always be endless money for their perpetual sloth and graft.
Business also tends to run in Boom & Bust cycles, almost always because of government interference in the markets. The solar roof thing is nothing more than a government Op.
Public service unions are unethical and should be banned since the taxpayers and the citizens who pay the bills and/or use the ‘services’, respectively, have absolutely no say in the negotiations.
Absolutely! At least here in Wokeachusetts, it used to be that the state workers got relatively low pay but they got tenure fairly easily, not like at a university- only for doing their job for a few years- and they got a great pension plan. Now, few get job tenure, but their pay scales are way, way up. But because they don’t have tenure, to keep those great, high paid jobs, they have to kiss butt- for their bosses and the politicians who rule over them. The people doing the negotiating for the state are just higher up bureaucrats- but they like the lower levels getting more because then they’ll get more- and the more working under them, the more they get- so they have no motivation to shrink the ranks. The state’s next year budget is 57 billion for a state with only about 6 million people. About a billion for migrants illegal immigrants.
Unless there is constant insistence on teachers being paid “based upon true improvement in learning skills of students”, the USA will continue to fall in the ratings* by Nation. “Tenure” should be abolished, and criminal teachers MUST be fired.
Zimbabwe has the second largest coal reserves in Africa and the 38th largest in the world (South Africa leads the way with the 8th largest coal reserves in the world)
In total 11 countries in Africa are in the top 75 countries with coal reserves.
fyi, “luser” is a slang term for lack of ability with a computer. 😎 You likely meant “loser”, but perhaps the “propaganda links” merit the word “luser”.
No asphalt roads, tires, clothes, metals, cars, trains, planes, no gasoline, no fuel oil
Oh, Gee. Will I have to live in my docked yacht and in my private plane?
He might read just titles but ignores reality in any case.
Coal demand in China is still growing, equating to ~50% of global demand. In fact, coal, oil and natural gas production set records in both 2023 and look to do the same in 2024. Fundamentally, renewable energy equipment cannot be produced without hydrocarbons. Solar panel manufacturing in particular is completely dependent upon coal.
According to the IEA ‘Coal Mid -Year Update’ (July 2024)
Global coal demand in 2023 reached an all time high of 8.2bn tonnes due to strong growth in China (6%) and India (9.2%). The growth in China and India more than offset declines in the EU and US.
Moreover coal consumption grew in both electricity consumption and industrial sectors. Power generation from coal reached a record 10,690 TWh and coal continues to be the largest source of global electricity generation.
Global coal consumption again was led by Asia where more than 80% of coal consumption took place. Growth was particularly strong in India (12%) and Indonesia (13%)
China remains the world’s largest producer, importer and consumer of coal
A friend mentioned last week that life is so much easier when you just accept reality. Then, of course, the problem becomes whose reality do you accept.
Lusername may be griff, in which case you’d be correct. Or it may be an AI chatbot (artificial ignorance that is), in which case considering the massive waste of energy that is AI, you’d be doubly correct.
A bunch of articles from BS enthusiasts. You seem to have missed the YouTube video of the millions of Chinese EVs sitting in fields because nobody wants them.

Freedom of Speech is in dire straits… and that affects everybody here [in the UK] one way or another.
Recently a certain Mr Durov was arrested in Paris, and now X (ex twitter) has been banned in Brazil.
A note of caution on Carole Cadwalladr, author of that far left collectivist nonsense.
“”Oh dear. It seems after repeatedly trying (and failing) to defeat Arron Banks in court, Carole Cadwalladr has now lost for the final time. For the Supreme Court today refused the Observer journalist’s application for permission to appeal the Court of Appeal’s costs ruling in the libel case of Banks v Cadwalladr. Leaving her with a hefty bill to pay…
To recap: back in February, the Brexit-backing Banks won a partially-successful appeal of an earlier libel ruling from June 2022 over Cadwalladr’s TedTalk claims that he had a ‘covert relationship with Russia.’ In May, the Court of Appeal subsequently ordered that Cadwalladr had to pay 60 per cent of Banks’ legal fees to the tune of £1.2 million. However, she refused to accept this and sought an appeal to the Supreme Court, which in June, the Court of Appeal then rejected. Undeterred, she sought yet another appeal, which today has finally been rejected by the Supreme Court itself.”” https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/carole-cadwalladr-loses-for-the-final-time/
She is too busy cackling laughing, while navel gazing
Jeff Walz may join the Trump bandwagon, because he thinks his brother Tim is a China sympathizing socialist and a psychotic liar, embroiderer, who would help ruin the US
Tim Walz: “There’s no guarantee to free speech on misinformation or hate speech, and especially around our democracy.”
Walz is an idiot who clearly totally misunderstands the concept of free speech. In fact, his statement above is itself “misinformation” and he should be grateful that he cannot be prosecuted for saying it. Lies and hate speech are the norm in American politics and Harris/Walz campaign is riddled with both.
The first part of the First Amendment has to do with freedom of religion, i.e. the government is not impose religious beliefs on the people (this includes atheism). Since the climate hysteria comes across as a religion….
The overall message of the First Amendment is that people have a right to think for themselves.
My overall impression is that Kamala does not understand the First Amendment.
Brazil and Britain are communist countries though. It could never happen here, right? (Knock at front door…door broken down…”you are under arrest for distributing malinformation”)
The U.K. a communist country? We may be to the left of the Republicans, yes that includes the Conservative Party, but we are definitely not communist. The closest U.K. government to the Republicans was that of Margaret Thatcher when Reagan was president.
Brazil is not communist either with a left of centre president.
Both the U.K. and Brazilian governments are closer to the Democratic Party. China is a communist country. Socialism does not equate to communism.
Russia is using Telegram for its encrypted military messaging
The NSA and CIA would love to get hold of those encryption codes.
All else is bull shit. France is getting brownie points for the arrest.
The US/EU want to get hold of $75 TRILLION of natural resources in Eurasia, Iran, Iraq, Azerbaijan, the Caspian Sea, Kazakhstan, etc., but most of these countries are joining BRICS
Ukraine has $15 TRILLION of mineable resources, plus tens of millions of acres of fertile land already sold to US big ag.
Where’s the police? The FBI? Homeland Security? The Biden-Harris administration?
I don’t think these gang members would do this very much in Oklahoma. The person on the other side of the door is very likely to be in possession of their own firearm.
Plus, in Oklahoma, when you call the police, the police show up.
Up here in MT back in the pioneer days there were the Vigilante’s.

Trump Vows to End What He Calls the ‘Green New Scam’
3,843 views Jul 18, 2024
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has vowed to end support for electric vehicles and “bring auto jobs back to our country” through the use of taxes, tariffs, and incentives, while not allowing auto manufacturing plants to be built in Mexico, China, or other countries. He pledged to redirect money from the “green new scam,” referring to Biden’s policies to fund renewable energy projects, to infrastructure projects like bridges and dams. Trump made the remarks during his speech on the final day of the RNC in Milwaukee.
“Time is running out for the Green New Scam.”
But Tom Trump has to win first and that is looking less likely by the day. I’m not saying he wont, but last time you and I had this conversation, I conceded Trump looked like being the winner. That’s not the case as things stand today. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/president-general/2024/national/
We can quote individual polls forever, but at the end it is only the one in November that counts. But if you think Trump is the favourite at the moment then I have a bridge to sell you. At best for Trump it is within the margin of error…. but it is a whole lot different to where it was two months ago. I think the first debate is do or die for both camps. Can’t wait.
Let’s face it, televised debates suck…the election should be about party policy, not how media-genic the leader is, nor how fast their hidden earpiece and teleprompters can feed them answers or misdirection…
They certainly have in recent times descended into yelling matches. But this one could be different. And….I doubt the earpiece thing is real. Are you saying Trump had one, because if you are, he didn’t listen to it.
Speaking about “earpiece”, is there anyone here who can explain how a 223 round shot from an AR15 can “brush” the ear of someone whose other ear is facing the shooter, and produce nothing but a trickle of blood (or bloodlike liquid)”?
Has anyone here found published trajectories of the bullets fired?
Three cheers for freedom of the press and investigative reporting, may they rest in peace.
Faked what? The three dead and two wounded? I’m sure he has neither the brains nor the resources to “fake” that, assuming they actually exist
Has anyone here seen the autopsy reports, specifying the projectiles recovered or assumed to have been used from the nature of the wounds?
Has anyone seen a credible description of the “shooter’s” firearm and the optics mounted on it? Or a plausible explanation of how the shooter, said to have been killed immediately by police snipers upon opening fire , could have gotten off a three shot burst either after or before “brushing” Trump’s ear, critically wounding three people in the audience.
Even a diagram showing the locations of the three victims vis-a-vis each other and Trump would greatly help clairify what happened. Could it be that the three shot burst critically injured two and killed another, and that then the “shooter” hunkered down and took careful aim at Trump’s right ear, even though it was out of sight on the other side of his head?
Where did that bullet land?
There’s a stench of rotten fish to this entire story. Maybe the higher ups are thinking of all the many notable skeptics of the JFK assassination who died unexpectedly.
. It’s conceivable that the incident was a complete surprise to Trump. It may have been meant as a warning – “obey, we mean business”.
“Translation…. now that you have a poll that’s different from my poll we should stop talking abut polls.”
Not at all. Polls flip flop and change by the day. Here’s the latest https://www.ipsos.com/en-us/harris-has-slight-advantage-over-trump-unchanged-dnc
In the end they mean nothing except to confirm there has been a change since Biden left. My point is it is the one in early November that will count.
Trump is leading big in the Battleground States in the important categories like the economy, and illegal immigration, and combatting lawbreaking.
I think Kamala’s best days are behind her as far as the polls are concerned.
The leftwing pollsters are reportedly again oversampling Democrats in their polls, like they seem to do every time. No doubt, the Leftwing Media Propagandists are working overtime to make Kamala look as good as they can.
She needs all the help she can get.
I want to say “Landslide” for Trump, but then we don’t know how good the Democrats will be at cheating this time around.
The Trump campaign called for signing up 100,000 people to keep an eye on the polls and the votes during the upcoming election, to prevent the Democrats from cheating. The last figure I heard was that 157,000 people have signed up to keep the Democrats honest.
The wheels are coming off this alleged “campaign”, whoever is supposed to be in charge (it ain’t Madam Harris) forgot to tighten any of the lug nuts. The brother of this Walz guy has come out in public to tell people what a train wreck nutbar Walz is.
Fair enough. Shall we now list the Trump family members who hate the mans guts starting with his own wife Melania. Reports are she wants nothing to do with him. Then there’s his daughter Ivanka who since saying he lost the election( you know the one he said he would date) is staying away from anything he touches now. And then the niece who has publicity said the man is a vile individual who should never be president. I think I win…..
Tom, no matter how bad the Harris campaign goes, I’m not counting on a Trump win. There may be shenanigans, but there are also, sadly, a LOT of people who buy into “trump bad” (you’ve seen that here) that they’ll vote Harris or sit it out, regardless of the consequences of a Harris win.
I’m preparing for that outcome. But I would like to be disappointed.
Yes, there are a lot of people in the United States who can’t tell reality from fantasy, helped along by a lying Leftwing Media that promotes Democrat tyranny and attacks Republicans.
Trump got millions more votes in 2020, than he got in 2016. I’m thinking Trump will get more votes in 2024 than he got in 2020.
When Trump won in 2016, right before the election, Hillary had a six point lead in the polls.
Kamala has about a one point lead over Trump in this same poll at the moment.
Polls never get it right when it comes to Trump. They always underestimate his stength. I wonder why? That’s a rhetorical question.
If Trump beat Hillary while the polls showed him behind by six points, then the Kamala camp should not be feeling good that she has a one percent lead.
Trump was showing to be eight ponts behind Biden in the 2020 election. Trump ended up losing by just a few tens of thousands of questionable votes.
So Kamala should not think that leading in the poll by one percent is going to mean she is winning.
There are all sorts of tricks the pollsters can use to manipulate the numbers. And many of them do.
“When Trump won in 2016, right before the election, Hillary had a six point lead in the polls.” That is absolutely not true Tom. When Comey announced he was opening an investigation into Clinton weeks before the election the polls closed. On the day Clinton had a slim margin, nothing more.
“Trump was showing to be eight ponts behind Biden in the 2020 election. Trump ended up losing by just a few tens of thousands of questionable votes.”
Again not true. some outlier polls may well have had those numbers, but I remember very clearly that the majority had it neck and neck. And let’s be honest, with the way the Republicans have rigged the system in their favour, the Dems have to win more of the popular vote than the republicans do. Some say by as much as 5% to be safe. Silly unfair system that needs to be changed.
I stand more firmly behind the constitution than your lord and master. And…Remind me again how many times have the Dems won the popular vote only to lose the election?
Yet you support(ed) a guy who wants to legislate rules for another one of the three coequal branches.
As for the other, we’ve been over that. I would go into what was actually said, but since you still believe he called white supremacists “fine people”, it’s pointless to even try.
(gotta love the dig “lord and master”, too. Something else there’s no point in addressing since you clearly don’t comprehend nuance)
Remind me again how many times have the Dems won the popular vote
Which is completely irrelevant, since the Electoral College is how it’s done – per the Constitution.
What’s your take on the Venezuelan election, Simon?
I predict that the US election will be almost as free and fair as Maduro’s landslide victory. After all a lot of undocumented Democrats from Venezuela will be participating along with the entire deceased population.
My take is the election was a sham. The rest of what you wrote is just plain silly. Sorry, it needs to be said.
Question….What did the man who Donald Trump put in charge of the last election, “Krebs” say (along with the 60 something judges who analysed the validity of the last election). “The November 3rd election was the most secure in American history. There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes or changed votes or was in any way compromised.” That’s good enough for me and it should be for anyone. But it’s not because your lord and master says you need to do what he says.
“I think the first debate is do or die for both camps. Can’t wait.”
It may be the only debate.
Or there may be no debate. The Kamala Camp has not yet agreed to do the Sept. 10, debate. Kamala wants to change the rules and have both microphones active all the time, instead of one being muted whle the other candidate speaks, so she can appear to be offended when Trump talks over her on an open microphone.
If Kamala’s Democrat handlers are smart, they won’t let Kamala debate. This is a case of remaining silent, even though people think you are stupid, rather than confirming just how stupid you are by speaking up.
Madam Harris’ pathetic plagiarism of Trump’s very public policies won’t hunt, people can see what is happening every day in her open-borders utopia:
I was a Kamala Harris supporter. That changed after an illegal alien murdered my son — running him over, then driving back and forth over Drew’s body three times.
The man who killed my son had been arrested previously, but Kamala Harris let him go.
Tom, I really think you may be wrong if you think she is stupid. She may not beat Trump in a debate, we will have to wait and see…. but she ain’t stupid. The woman has prosecuted some very high profile criminals. that takes a level of clever most could only dream of.
Kamala is certainly not qualified to be President of the United States. I can’t think of one Radical Democrat that would be qualified for the office, and Kamala would be last on that list.
Them being radical Democrats automatically disqualifies them. Look at the world situation now. The Democrats, including Harris have screwed things up royally. If we elected Kamala, or any other radical Democrat, this dangerous international stupidity would continue.
“The Democrats, including Harris have screwed things up royally.”
Be specific Tom? The economy is flying. Doing better than pretty much every other major economy in the world. Crime is down. Border crossings are down. The US can once again hold its head up internationally. Like I say, be specific?

I will treat our “official” leaders, who are both legends in their own minds, with the great respect they deserve on my blog through election day:
OK I am lost. Why did this get down votes. Everyone knows Mr “when you are a star they let you do it” is a man who likes to sleep around. Surely that is not up for debate? Maybe people here think he is a saint?
“I think you should provide some sort of proof of your statement.”
As should those here who say Kamala is a whore? It is a silly path to go down when there are so many other real issues to focus on and if that is all they have…. that is a bad sign for their team.
“but she is a whore”…. ask Willie Brown’s willie.” As a rule I try not to speak to “dicks”…. but you will be pleased to know I have made an exception for you.

Has WUWT ever considered starting a forum? It might be more useable than these comment threads.
At one time WUWT promoted something called the “Open Atmosphere Society”. I became a founding member. Yet, nothing has become of it. I wonder if it could become a forum for things about the atmosphere — speculation, history, science, data etc. Any postings not having to do with the atmosphere would be booted over to some other place on the site… Just a thought.
There are three things that are not explained physically in the theories of CO2 caused warming.
As the energy entering the earth/atmosphere system is constant where does the increased energy come from to raise the temperature of 40 gigatons of CO2 every year.
In transferring energy from a vibrating CO2 to another molecule s every collision additive or are some collisions elastic or subtractive?
There is no long record of radiative level (ERL) so how do we know if the idea is valid?
About 40% of the sunlight is IR light. There is a enormous amount of IR light coming from the sun for the CO2 to absorb. There is lots of IR emitted from the earth’s surface. A portion of visible light absorbed by surface is reemitted as IR light.
After absorbing a photon of IR light, the CO2 molecule undergoes vibrational excitation, but then undergoes rapid vibrational deactivation by collision with a N2 or O2 molecule. The vibrational energy transfer form CO2 to a N2 or O2 molecule increases its velocity. This results in an increase of the temperature of the gas.
At RT the collision frequency of the molecules in a gas is about 100 billion times per second. This is why natural gas can explode with enormous violence.
So why isn’t Tony Heller’s web site or YouTube site mentioned in the list on the right of this screen? I know he had some kind of problem here before I started reading this site- but that’s irrelevant, he’s popular with many of us here. He should be listed.
Heller has a hot temper when you disagree with him. I’m sure that is a root cause of why he seems to be banned here.
I recommend most of his articles on my blog. They are mainly about wrong climate predictions, revisions to temperature data and fake temperature data.
As an example, I wrote a comment on Heller’s website long ago about the US aces burned data chart. The 1930s had lots of fires but the total acres burned was boosted by CCC prescribed fires in the SE fire district of the US. The penalty for mentioning that data weakness was a permanent ban on future comments on Heller’s website.
Heller is not unique. On several conservative “one man” websites, disagreeing with the owner/writer will often get a vicious reply to your comment. Two of them are:
You’ll also get banned in short order from Ars Technica if you differ from the liberal orthodoxy (think AOC) on just about anything – climate, gender, race, political parties. On Ars, Trump is a fascist, affirmative action remedies past oppression, trans women are women, and wind and solar are the only ways to reverse the pending climate disaster. And if you don’t agree, you’ll be banned.
I think the initial argument/controvery was that Heller claimed that it got cold enough in Antarctica to cause CO2 to freeze out of the atmosphere.
Some people at WUWT took issue with that claim.
Heller was banned after some emotional commentary back and forth.
Since that time, I think Anthony and Tony Heller have kissed and made up, and I don’t think Heller is banned from WUWT anymore, although he does not post here.
Do greenie socialists ever truly contemplate what they’re trying to achieve?
Example –
if your stated sacred mission was to bequeath a clean, pristine landscape and atmosphere to future generations, wouldn’t you want to start building now a network of latest-generation tried, tested & proven, non-polluting, reliable, renewable, economic nuclear-fueled power plants?
Instead, on the current trajectory, year 2055 young adults will be relying for their electricity on a hodgepodge of unreliable, intermittent, landscape-despoiling, expensive boondoggles comprised of windmills, sunshine catchers, spontaneously-combusting batteries and hydrogen-fueled generators on constant standby.
Who knows, if SMRs pass clinical suburban trials within the next decade or so, every urban & regional locality could be earmarking a spare half-acre to install one for their community.
Is a 30-40 year outlook now regarded as “long-term, over the horizon” planning in western democracies?
No wonder the Chinese, who think and plan in generational timeframes, have overtaken us Westerners in productivity in just half a generation.
Properties adjacent to substations may have to be compulsorily acquired.
Eminent domain and all that.
But if you lived next to a substation, you’d probably be glad to profit handsomely from a taxpayer bail-out.
I mean, these days it wouldn’t be like the Kerrigans in “The Castle”.
Plus, wouldn’t growing up next to a substation be producing the same cognitive effects as growing up under the high-voltage power lines?
Our local one is already in an industrial area so wouldn’t be a problem making room there for a SMR.
Big city areas could be a problem finding spaces, but maybe they could give over some of their park areas, just as rural folks have had to give up their forested areas for “renewables” and extra transmission lines clearances.
I lived in the remote bushland of the Victoria high country for about 19 years.
(just over the range from Nick’s at Moyhu as it turns out 🙂 )
No substations anywhere near me (25 kms away was the nearest one).
And no neighbours anywhere in sight or calling distance.
I often clearly heard the “humming”, and wandered many kms in all directions over many years trying to pin down the source of the quite audible “humming”.
Visitors to our place could also hear it, but were not curious as I was.
(Being mostly from the city, they were probably not used to anomalies in a totally silent ambient noise background.)
I have never resolved what the “humming” was that I was hearing.
Apparently, neither have many others all around the world –
Transmission and distribution lines will hum when the wind is right.
On another note, 25 km is long way for distribution lines. Usually some HV transmission lines go that far and into a substation somewhere. Maybe pole mounted rather than a large one on the ground.
It’s that time of year again – the end of the annual cycle for the “surface mass balance” on the Greenland Ice Sheet.

It hasn’t come to my town and I don’t think it ever will.
Why not move to China? They’d love another Quisling on the books.
Who’s to say Lusername doesn’t run in a Shanghai data center?
By 2040, none of the current roof solar will work anyway.
And what will people use on windless nights ??
What do YOU use on windless nights? .. what do you RELY on for your electricity ?
Guess what… FOSSIL FUEL or NUCLEAR, because they are the only alternative.
Or does granny just lock you in your basement, in the dark. !!
By 2040?
No one is that good in predicting the markets – any markets.
Ford thought that EVs was going to be a hit, and the stock holders got hit hard by reality.
Who knew that NVidia would be a FOMO stock?
Boeing thought that they would be leading in air and space craft.
Teachers unions believed that there would always be endless money for their perpetual sloth and graft.
Business also tends to run in Boom & Bust cycles, almost always because of government interference in the markets. The solar roof thing is nothing more than a government Op.
“Teachers unions believed that there would always be endless money for their perpetual sloth and graft.”
Still seems true for them in Wokeachusetts where they are vastly overpaid, like most state employees and many local employees.
About a billion for
migrantsillegal immigrants.Unless there is constant insistence on teachers being paid “based upon true improvement in learning skills of students”, the USA will continue to fall in the ratings* by Nation. “Tenure” should be abolished, and criminal teachers MUST be fired.
And solar + batteries on houses.. a tiny percentage… and the mining required for that will be enormous. Think of all the FOSSIL FUELS required.
And China.. well ….. reality vs luser propaganda links
China Increases Coal Mining To Provide Winter Power: (worldenergynews.com)
EVs.. powered by COAL !!!
Zimbabwee.. runs on COAL and HYDRO
Without them, they have nothing for more than half the day.
😎 You likely meant “loser”, but perhaps the “propaganda links” merit the word “luser”.
s
That ‘affordable’ solar system wouldn’t even keep a 2 berth caravan ticking over. Do you read the stuff you post?
A kettle around 2000w.. the system listed is 1840w max when the sun is shining brightly
No morning coffee..
No cooking at night.
No lights at night,
Can’t run a fridge,
Can’t cook a sausage.
etc
etc
But it’s only for Africans, bnice, mere black people. We can’t have them all living like extinction rebellion or Just stop oil activists, can we?
Sad for people in Zimbabwee…. they can own a TV… but can’t watch it in the evenings.
Disgustingly racist that this is what luser wants other countries to live with…
…. particularly after all its life has been supported by fossil fuels.
Lusername may be griff, in which case you’d be correct. Or it may be an AI chatbot (artificial ignorance that is), in which case considering the massive waste of energy that is AI, you’d be doubly correct.
Nah, just your garden variety moron.
Seems to be a very large crop this season.
Yea, they’d probably prefer a refrigerator to a TV, but a fridge is useless without reliable 24/7 power.
“”Brazil’s ban on X is a taste of things to come
The global crackdown on free speech is getting more aggressive by the day.””
https://www.spiked-online.com/2024/08/31/brazils-ban-on-x-is-a-taste-of-things-to-come/
What does the UK liberal media make of all this, bearing in mind our own Free Speech Act has just been tossed into the bin by the new government…
“”It was a breaking news alert to lift the spirits and make the heart sing. A tech billionaire arrested as he stepped off his private jet and detained by the French authorities. Happy days!””
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/article/2024/aug/31/elon-musk-x-brazil-telegram-pavel-durov
Undeterred, she sought yet another appeal, which today has finally been rejected by the Supreme Court itself.””

Shhhh Trebles all round.
Kamala is of the opinion that free speech is a privilege that is granted and regulated by the government.
And only for the elites- who toe the line.
She should contemplate why freedom of speech is the FIRST amendment to the US constitution.
She is too busy cackling laughing, while navel gazing
Jeff Walz may join the Trump bandwagon, because he thinks his brother Tim is a China sympathizing socialist and a psychotic liar, embroiderer, who would help ruin the US
Jeff Walz may join the Trump bandwagon
The left has already started attacking him.
There are many things she doesn’t understand.
No argument from me on that.
Brazil and Britain are communist countries though. It could never happen here, right? (Knock at front door…door broken down…”you are under arrest for distributing malinformation”)
I don’t think they knock first
The U.K. a communist country? We may be to the left of the Republicans, yes that includes the Conservative Party, but we are definitely not communist. The closest U.K. government to the Republicans was that of Margaret Thatcher when Reagan was president.
Brazil is not communist either with a left of centre president.
Both the U.K. and Brazilian governments are closer to the Democratic Party. China is a communist country. Socialism does not equate to communism.
I believe it does.
Many Brits do tend to be slow to recognise my sarcasm and hyperbole, JohnC. You are apparently one such earnest soul.
And you are correct about the UK. It is a fascist state, rather than a communist one. Whereas Lulu Lula is a straight-up communist down in Brasil.
Ukraine also uses… Telegram
“There are trillions at stake” (Sundance).
Venezuelans get into property management in Colorado.
Too busy trafficking. Hell’s Angels to the rescue?
Up here in MT back in the pioneer days there were the Vigilante’s.
My great-great grand dad who came up the Mormon Trail in 1860

then, where are the Mormons today? We could use their assistance.
Where’s the police?
I saw a TV interview where the police supposedly investigated and said they found nothing.

Trump made the remarks during his speech on the final day of the RNC in Milwaukee.
end excerpt
Time is running out for the Green New Scam.
Polls guru Nate Silver has Harris winning the popular vote, but Trump winning the Electoral College.
So same outcome as 2016.
Trump doesn’t need an earpiece.
He IS the ear piece. He is there in your tiny little mind 24/7.
“He IS the ear piece.”
I think you mean he is the “mouthpiece.”
Are you saying Trump faked it?
Yep.
That old adage that “politics is showbiz for ugly people” is getting truer ever year.
Yep, the massive MEDIA HYPE behind the camel…
… because she cannot support herself…
.. and a lot of very dumb people who still haven’t figured out that the far-left media… LIES.
Translation…. now that you have a poll that’s different from my poll we should stop talking abut polls.
“Translation…. now that you have a poll that’s different from my poll we should stop talking abut polls.”
Not at all. Polls flip flop and change by the day. Here’s the latest
https://www.ipsos.com/en-us/harris-has-slight-advantage-over-trump-unchanged-dnc
About two months to go.
“When Trump won in 2016, right before the election, Hillary had a six point lead in the polls.”
That is absolutely not true Tom.
Silly unfair system that needs to be changed.
the Dems have to win more of the popular vote
Damn pesky Constitution and the electoral college.
“Damn pesky Constitution and the electoral college.”
Yep it’s a joke. Certainly not democratic.
Well, now we know where you stand on the Constitution, Simon.
There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes or changed votes or was in any way compromised.”
That’s good enough for me and it should be for anyone. But it’s not because your lord and master says you need to do what he says.
I don’t recall any case around the election that was tried on the merits. I do recall many being dismissed based on standing.
Madam Harris’ pathetic plagiarism of Trump’s very public policies won’t hunt, people can see what is happening every day in her open-borders utopia:
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/09/i-was-kamala-harris-supporter-that-changed-after/
I thought your Hateway Repugnant Racist Rag had been terminated?
Tom, I really think you may be wrong if you think she is stupid. She may not beat Trump in a debate, we will have to wait and see…. but she ain’t stupid. The woman has prosecuted some very high profile criminals. that takes a level of clever most could only dream of.
I’m unimpressed by Kamala’s legal career.
Mr. Joe Bribe’em
Ms. Kamaliar Harris
Apparently, just about everything the Cackler says needs “context”…
Fact-checking Kamala Harris’s first campaign interview. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cwy78g4vg3po
They really do lurv her.
There’s a camaraderie among drunks and whores.
Well Trump doesn’t drink, but he is a whore (as in a man who sleeps round) so…..
OK I am lost. Why did this get down votes. Everyone knows Mr “when you are a star they let you do it” is a man who likes to sleep around. Surely that is not up for debate? Maybe people here think he is a saint?
Maybe people think you have a massive dose of incurable TDS. !
I think you should provide some sort of proof of your statement.
“I think you should provide some sort of proof of your statement.”
As should those here who say Kamala is a whore? It is a silly path to go down when there are so many other real issues to focus on and if that is all they have…. that is a bad sign for their team.
“but she is a whore”…. ask Willie Brown’s willie.
And Trump is not?
“but she is a whore”…. ask Willie Brown’s willie.”
As a rule I try not to speak to “dicks”…. but you will be pleased to know I have made an exception for you.
Wolf Street | The stories behind business, finance, and money
Politics Archives – EPautos – Libertarian Car Talk (ericpetersautos.com)
I’m surprised about Tony Heller blocking you for that reason. I should ask him about that. Maybe it was a misunderstanding.
TH probably blocked RG because RG was in his usual odious self-righteous prat mode…
There would be a signifocant improvement in the quality of the threads at this website if you were blocked.
Leftists don’t like it when things are introduced that might burst the Leftwing Bubble they live in.
They don’t want to hear it. If you speak it, they will shut you up.
It’s called “denying reality”. Denying reality makes Leftists feel safe and comfortable.
“every urban & regional locality could be earmarking a spare half-acre to install one for their community.”
Best place to put SMRs would be close to/next to, or even as part of, the big electricity sub-stations.
Infrastructure and security already in place etc.
Size them to suit the zone that substation covers.
Think of the children!!
Most of the electrical substations around here are positioned well away from residential houses with significant unused land around them.
That is why I mentioned it.
Our local one is already in an industrial area so wouldn’t be a problem making room there for a SMR.
Big city areas could be a problem finding spaces, but maybe they could give over some of their park areas, just as rural folks have had to give up their forested areas for “renewables” and extra transmission lines clearances.
At one point I lived about 500m from a major substation.
When the wind was in the wrong quarter you could hear a distinct humming sound.
Was fun when “something happened”….. the occasional “kaboom”,
… once even massive sparking in the evening that could clearly be heard and seen.

Wondering if the hum is a harmonic of the transmission line frequency.
