Hump Day Hilarity: AOC’s Green New Generation isn’t quite what she expected

Josh is ready with some biting satire today, taking a bite out of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ recent video rant about how we should stop having children to protect future climate.

“Our planet is going to hit disaster if we don’t turn this ship around and so it’s basically like, there’s a scientific consensus that the lives of children are going to be very difficult,” Ocasio-Cortez said in an Instagram Live video showing her chopping vegetables in her kitchen.

“And it does lead, I think, young people to have a legitimate question, you know, ‘Is it okay to still have children?’”

Somehow, Josh doesn’t think it’s going to turn out the way she expects.

People voted for this extreme feminist fruitcake. How deusional and ignorant are they regarding the reality of her policies. Full of opinions and utterly devoid of factua and technical understanding. Only the over privileged can get away with being as stupid as this, and imposing their stupidity on others by law. Perhaps she should check what happened to the Erlichs nonsense predictions regarding polulation disaster? They became so obvously wrong the extremists and the media had to whip up a new frenzy, global warming, while it was it was still warming a few tenths of a degree per decade, possibly. As the climate catastrophe continues not to happen here will be another non existent crisis invented we must all be saved from by giving its promoters lots of money to avoid a non specific future disaster with a solution that could never work anyway. 21st Century religion, snake oil sales, climate change protection racket, state organised crime.

Believe it or not, old Hank was the “upgrade.” His predecessor was Rep. Cynthia McKinney. Here she is being interviewed on TV in Iran:

Rep. McKinney was too nutty for even her district, and lost her Democratic primary to the saner and wiser Hank Johnson.

McKinney lost her district twice to Democrat primary challengers, both times with significant help from Republican voters. First time was to Denise Majette in 2002. Majette served just one term before entering the race to replace retiring governor Zell Miller. McKinney reclaimed the seat in the 2004 election and held it before losing the 2006 Democrat primary in a runoff with Hank Johnson.

Everytime someone criticizes Hank Johnson, I feel compelled to point out he is better than the alternative.

I guess now looking at Ocasio-Cortez it’s clear Cynthia McKinney was ahead of her time.

Every Congress critter in the house is up for re-election every 2 years. So it’s only 2 years of fun and levity unless she gets re-elected, which is a distinct possibility (incumbents tend to have the advantage)

Senators are up for re-election every 6 years (IE a third of the senate every 2 years).

The president is every 4 years.

Incumbency has it advantages, how else do you think he managed to get 10 terms in the first place? Incumbency, however is not immunity from ever being kicked out. When the incumbent doesn’t take the competition seriously (as the guy she replaced found out) getting kicked out is very much a possibility. It’s tough to beat an incumbent (particularly one that puts effort into keeping their job) but not impossible.

Why if you can choose your gender, why not also choose your race?

For example, all hetero white males in america. Why not self identify as black female lesbians? Clearly anyone objects, they are racists, sexist, and homophobic.

For years fauxcahontas has self identified as native, and has profited handsomely. So why shouldn’t other groups cash in as well?

Let’s face it. White hetero males are evolutionary pond scum responsible for all the evils on earth. We know this to be true because everyone says so.

As such it is high time hetero white males changed their ways. The obvious solution is to self identify as black females lesbians.

Look at the advantages. No more will you be racist, sexist, or homophobic. No more battle of the sexes, your sisters will now welcome you with loving arms. Academics will spend days in deep, penetrating discussion of the female penis.

After all, who would you rather share the shower with? No longer would female nude mud wrestling be a spectator sport. Navratilova will no doubt be happy. Sports will finally have true equality.

And this would solve the problems of sexism and racism in the workplace. Overnight there would be a significant improvement in the average wages paid to women and blacks.

So cast off the shackles that bind you. End the tyranny of white male hetero domination.

The problem with this easy-out ferd, is you’d then have to speak and act like a complete idiot 100% of the time to get people to believe that you’d really ‘converted’ over to the ‘religion’. And let’s be realistic, they really don’t believe in conversions, now what they’re even saying, it’s all the product of deep insecurities and the need to self-‘validate’.

Yes, copulation increases rate of respiration, hence more CO2 pollution. Sex creates pollution — shocking, but true, if you accept the EPA stance.

This itself is a major reason to stop having children. Child birth simply creates more air pollution via sex increasing respiration rate.

In fact, I think that I can make a case that increased CO2 causes — NOT results from — human population increase. It’s just a horrible feedback loop, where sex increases respiration rate, producing more CO2, which impairs cognition, which leads to bad decisions involving one-night stands, which leads to pregnancy, … over and over and over again, steadily polluting the Earth with more evil air AND more evil people.

Back in the mid-70’s I was a teacher’s aide in a remedial reading class. There was a lesson in the workbook I’ll never forget.

“There are two things about my little brother Billy that I like and two things I don’t like.
The two things I like are that he’s easy to please and he’s fun to play with.
The two things I don’t like are that he screams and cries a lot and he breaks everything I let him play with. Just yesterday he broke my favorite model airplane.”

And just in case their brains weren’t scrambled enough, the questions to answer were:

“What are the two things he likes?
What are the two things he doesn’t like?”

Even back then, not only were kids NOT being taught how to think and reason, they were being taught that how they “feel” at the moment is “reason”. How they feel at the moment doesn’t have to make sense.

The Green New Death was always about eugenics and genocide since the WWF (at least). Depopulation , de-industrialization are the only objectives, nothing whatsoever to do with the environment, or climate.

AOC has actually said what it all about. She is right about college debts.

Now youth have no choice but to look at what they are supporting. The Queen Bee Green Teen might look somewhat different now. Just maybe AOC has done a public service?

The old oligarchic money behind the Sunrise movement has nothing whatsoever to do with grassroots, just with eugenics.

==============
The precautionary principle says if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Name any time in history when the human race was better off than it is today? Name any time in history when people didn’t worry about the future?

Human beings worry about the future. 99.9% of the time, the things we worry about never come to pass. They are false worries. So in this we must be guided by the past, not by our worries.

Long, long ago humans chose a path of technology. The first step was the domestication of fire, which allowed us to spread around the world. A world in which the average temperature is fatal to all human beings without technology.

As such, we must be extremely careful with any steps of laws that restrict human access to technology, as this sort of restriction has the power to kill enormous numbers of people. Simply because the current climate of the earth is fatal to unprotected humans, anywhere outside the tropical rain forests.

Buddhism teaches us there cannot be good without evil. ANY solution therefore will have harmful side effects. Be careful what you wish for. The gods grant the wishes of those they wish to destroy.

Sugar coated?
Ocasio coats her words with “like” and half sentences. Just trying to make out what she is spouting isn’t easy.

“Soothe their fears about the future”?
No!
No one who actually reads or delves into the science has any doubts about the future. Even those pushing alarmist messages.
Most of the prominent alarmists happily jet or take their yachts to prime world vacation spots while telling people CO₂ is deadly.

Besides adhering to their absurd CO₂ doom messages, there is no reason for them to change their lifestyles. There are zero historical instances where Earth’s natural CO₂ fluctuations negatively affect climate.

Only the gullible who accept propaganda without serious investigation fear for the future.

“Aaron February 27, 2019 at 9:18 am
Cortez has a core understanding of the problems”

Unprovable by any rational method.
Cortez spouts irrational claims, without evidence or links to serious science.

“Aaron February 27, 2019 at 9:18 am
If you think the future is rosy, the economy is STRONG, and drilling is good, well then you deserve the desolate future that you are making for yourself.”

Again, real history rears it’s beautiful head.
* CO₂ has never harmed life since life began.
* Warm climatic periods are known as Optimums, because all life on Earth prospers.
* None of the ‘models’ are prophetic.
* Every interpretation of doom from climate models derives from confirmation bias where the prophecy is based upon the predictor’s belief.
* This interglacial’s temperatures has been declining for hundreds of years. This brief warming is a welcome respite!

History dictates that warm is good.
History has also proven that higher CO₂ levels are major boos to all plant life and therefore all life dependent upon plants.

Oh, and my kids, so thanks. I am trying to think of solutions. Here is my best effort so far. It is bold. I love my country. We can do better.”

* A tepid reference to your family. Such despair.
* “think of solutions”? Why? Are you an expert in solutions for non-problems?
* Beware of people calling their own “solutions” bold! Such is rarely the case.
* “we can do better”. Really!?
You claim that we can “do better” when trillions of dollars are wasted to the green CO₂ religion and fantasies every year?
Trillions that should have been devoted to expanding people’s access to energy, education, food and healthcare, has instead been wasted making alarmists and pathetic researchers rich.

Yes, we can do better. Shut down the false CO₂ religion!

@ATheoK – “This interglacial’s temperatures has been declining for hundreds of years.”

Closer to a couple of thousand years. It’s been a downward trend since the peak temps about 10,000 years ago.

Now that is what I call smashed. 😀

Thinking is soo undervalued by the left these days, probably because it is hard to think when being jolted when riding that high horse. 😉

Faux moralizing is all the rage these days and these climaloons never ever back up their meandering nonsense with action, if they did, Aaron would not be using a computer that uses electricity, or a fossil fuel richly made and delivered iPhone or Android.

then again, the left has also monopolised hypocrisy too.

Fauxmoral, a good name for a horse, even a high one 🙂

What problem?
The belief that a warming of a few tenths of a degree (if that much) is going to cause any kind of problem at all?

The future isn’t rosy, because there are way to many people who are convinced that government is the answer to every problem and who have no problem using government to steal from those who work so that they don’t have to.

And a cool thing about AOC – she’s not a member of a racial or religious minority. We can point out her lack of real education, her total naivete, and no one can throw out the race card.
Of course, even most Democrats realize she’s an dolt, and not even a glib one. Markey, Booker, Harris and Warren don’t seem to be aware of that. Makes them look even more stupid than AOC – and most of us didn’t think that possible.

She’s a neurotic idiot, never had a real job, never did anything with herself of note ever.

It looks as though AOC has been set up by her Democrat pals and will become the sacrificial lamb sooner than I expected.

I read today, courtesy of the GWPF:

U.S. Democrats Won’t Back ‘Green New Deal’ In ‘Sham’ Vote

If Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) calls a vote on the “Green New Deal,” it looks likely that many — or even all — Senate Democrats would vote “present” to avoid a public intraparty fight, said activists, lawmakers and congressional aides.

This is a bargaining tactic Scottie, i.e. if a car is worth $20,000, give it a buff, set the sticker price at $45,000 and be open to negotiations with any fool who wants to object to the price, and you just might get an idiot to pay $25,000 for it, instead.

The thing to take note of here is that the Democrats are taking these utterly absurd proposals ‘seriously’ within their internal formal processes (and why would they even do that, given its totally insane stuff). That way they can give it a buff-up, present the improved version to the fools, and then negotiate to get less than its utterly absurd Green-New-Deal proposals, so that they can still obtain a lot more support for extremist positions and policies than they otherwise would have gotten any other way without some snake-in-the-grass like AOC and its Green-New-Deal document being spruiked by a moron, first.

These are political tactics, and in the crazy southpark level world of now, they will probably produce big gains towards radicalizing and polarizing support from fools, for buying into totally insane Democrat policy proposals.

Just realize that the Dems are well and truly behind using this crazy AOC brat to obtain tactical advantagse towards radical and extreme objectives. When taking power is all you care about any path, lever or policy which will get you there will do. They’re not doing this with their eyes closed they know exactly what tactics they’re pursuing. It does not matter is AOC is seen to be kicked to the kerb as a result, she’s then served her tactical purpose and will be rewarded via other means. And she knows it.

As the western world’s birth rate is largely on the decline thanks to prosperity, and the developing world’s birth rate is on the increase thanks to poverty, I think what AOC is saying is stop all the poor people having babies.

And in a way, that’s precisly what’s happening. The worst genocide the world has ever seen.

The World Health Organisation tells us that 120,000,000 people in the developing world will die prematurely by 2050 from respiratory conditions directly attributed to smoke inhalation because they are forced to cook and heat their homes with wood and cow dung over open fires. Naturally, the most vulnerable are children.

The poverty stricken are not allowed access to cheap fossil fuel derived electricity principally because Jim Yong Kim*, President of the World Bank and an Obama appointee, deemed it inappropriate to provide loans for them because their emissions are a threat to climate change, instead he gave much of the money to China!?

Kim’s remit was to eradicate poverty in the developing world by 2030, which rather jars with the WHO mortality predictions which go out to 2050. It’s almost like there was never any intention to do anything about people dying unnecessarily.

Incredibly, Kim is a physician by profession and his wife a paediatrician who devotes a lot of her time to work in Africa caring for children. Many of them, presumably, suffering from respiratory conditions caused by smoke inhalation.

Is that what’s known as shutting the gate after the horse has bolted? Or just virtue signalling.

*Kim recently resigned three years early ‘to pursue his career in the private sector’. It seems Donald Trump was way ahead of him as within a couple of weeks of Kim’s resignation he already has someone lined up for the job who is far more sympathetic to the plight of the developing world than Kim.

Um, no. Poor people in the third world don’t stop having babies, just the opposite. Because mortality is so high (the genocide you speak of) poor people have many kids in the hopes of some of them living long enough to take care of them in the later years (note I didn’t say old age, as life expectancy isn’t that long).

AOC is speaking to the first world latte sipping greenies. It’s those in the first world (whose birth rates are already low) whom she is telling to stop having children. It’s just green virtue signaling. the greenies will publicly agree but won’t do anything to prevent themselves from having kids.

8Then Judah said to Onan, “Sleep with your brother’s wife. Perform your duty as her brother-in-law and raise up offspring for your brother.” 9But Onan knew that the offspring would not belong to him; so whenever he would sleep with his brother’s wife, he would spill his seed on the ground so that he would not produce offspring for his brother. 10What he did was evil in the LORD’s sight, so He put Onan to death as well.…

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) said in an interview published Wednesday the Green New Deal “goes beyond what our charge is” on climate change and has an agenda that is “not what we hope to achieve.”

February 28, 2019 7:42 am

Alex Berezow stepped up with a realistic alternative to the Green New Deal:
1. Start building Generation IV nuclear power plants right now.
2. In the meantime, phase out coal while embracing natural gas. Natural gas burns cleaner than coal.
3. Upgrade our energy infrastructure with a smart grid, smart meters, better capacitors, and better transmission lines.
4. Invest in solar and fusion power research.
5. As our energy infrastructure improves, electric car technology will improve along with it, making fossil fuels largely obsolete. (Airplanes might always need fossil fuels, though, much to AOC’s chagrin.)

February 28, 2019 5:25 pm

It took me most of two days to get the joke but it finally dawned on me. If greenies have no kids and skeptics continue to have children, things will turn out peachy. In my younger days, being the good Catholic girl that I was, I wanted to have 12 kids. Until the first one was born. Big Ben. He was 1/3 my height and 1/10 my weight. So I leave it to more substantial women coming up the ranks to fullfill my dreams of a house full of kids.
