The conclusion talks about trade-offs and consequences but does not acknowledge that there may not be an “affordable, reliable, competitive path to net zero” using VRE.   Given the vulnerability risk, I remain convinced that the VRE transition will do more harm than good in New York and elsewhere.  I think the nuclear option is the only path forward for those who want to decarbonize.
