Should have Gone to School Greta – Deletes a Tweet Predicting Disaster by 2023

Essay by Eric Worrall

h/t Breitbart; Little Greta covering her tracks, squirming and posturing like any other establishment politician?

WUWT covered this hilariously absurd prediction back in 2018;

We Have Five Years To Save Ourselves From Climate Change, Harvard Scientist Says

People have the misapprehension that we can recover from this state just by reducing carbon emissions, Anderson said in an appearance at the University of Chicago. Recovery is all but impossible, he argued, without a World War II-style transformation of industry—an acceleration of the effort to halt carbon pollution and remove it from the atmosphere, and a new effort to reflect sunlight away from the earth’s poles.

This has to be done, Anderson added, within the next five years.

“The chance that there will be any permanent ice left in the Arctic after 2022 is essentially zero,” Anderson said, with 75 to 80 percent of permanent ice having melted already in the last 35 years.

What nonsense. We said so back in 2018, and nothing has changed. At least Forbes hasn’t done a Greta, and has left the article online (so far).

Keep that delete button handy Greta. There is no climate emergency – and you’re young enough that you will live to see more embarrassments. And a little advice, maybe you should hold off republishing more dire predictions from Professor Anderson, at least any predictions with a due date near future enough to be embarrassing.

The most important lesson in Climate Science:
Never make an unfounded assertion on a
timeline that expires before you do.

That was in days of now RIP ‘global warming’ mantra which was easy to understand even by brain dead; we were supposed to fry.
Never going to happen, so ambiguous ‘climate change’ arrived with its unlimited supply of disaster memes to fit any event that the weather might conspire in its quest to destroy humanity.

A certain Alfred Adler comes to mind and his theory of the inferiority complex, irrespective of the decision made the the personal actions taken at any point (even if they are either ends of the spectrum) still proves AND re-inforces the theory of the inferiority complex.
Its not easy to break the belief but grwoing older and wiser generally helps.

The first lesson of Climate Alarmism is; Never let reality get in the way of an apocryphal story.
The second lesson is; never forget to delete from social media, your past predictions of doom that never materialised.
Our children will not know what snow is, eh Al?
Summer Arctic see ice will be all gone by, 2014 ,or 2015, or 2016 or…BBC
Glacier National Park Montana USA. all glaciers will be gone by 2020. They took the apocryphal signs of climate disaster prediction down in 2019. As far as a I know they haven’t fixed on a new end of glaciers date yet…..

I wonder…if Greta is in fact fundamentally honest, and will in time redirect her anger towards the people who really stole her childhood, and who really threaten her future?

No, she is an aristocrat who believes that she will be in the party that controls things after their whole Communist Revolution happens. She doesn’t really care about reality, I think she knows that the entire thing is a con job used to control people

I suggest she could enhance her future career more by changing her mind. That would be news worldwide and every journalist would want to talk with her. Doing so would imply she’s very intelligent- smart enough to grow out of childish fantasies.

I would hope the scenario you outlined would happen but I doubt it.

The MSM would not want to talk to the heretic. She would only get coverage from the “liars” at FOX.

A sad and abused intellectual pygmy

March 15, 2023 1:47 am

Three points:

  1. You are presently in a glasshouse/greenhouse (remember the rules about ‘stones’)
  2. Greta is a mentally disordered child – she is at school presently and at all times. ‘School’ is a slightly bigger concept than a brainwashing place/building with teachers & blackboards
  3. Those were not her words – she was just copy/pasting someone else. (that madman Anderson in this case). Tell me you’ve never done the same.

No matter: I’m gonna throw a stone, at Bonehead BailoPoso…
Why is he an ‘ex’ US navy intel officer
(his own description of self, is he trying to remind himself of something or tell us the contrary to what he thinks he’s telling us all)

I don’t see a scintilla of intelligence there at all – is that why was he released from service and is now ‘ex’?
But no – it’s obvious that he was sacked because he was too intelligent – hence why Russia was able to knock down US drone found flying over The Black Sea

WTF :– Is that what passes for US ‘intelligence’ these days?
Just one look at Brandon says ‘yes’
we are in sooooo much shyte here, we really are

Somebody please try to find a way to put the brakes on this madness – without taking the piss and making it worse

“Greta is a mentally disordered child” “A sad and abused intellectual pygmy”. More likely a good actor.
She was obviously in a cheerful state in the picture above, and looked the same when she got off the yacht in Lisbon. Ok it had a world-class skipper and competent crew, But you would feel 5m waves on a 15m boat. Maybe Nikki Henderson could take her on as a trainee.

““The chance that there will be any permanent ice left in the Arctic after 2022 is essentially zero,” Anderson said, with 75 to 80 percent of permanent ice having melted already in the last 35 years”

How did that work out? Nice graph here by the Polar Science Center (Univ. of Washington) showing annual mean sea ice volume in the Arctic since 1979. Updated recently to show 2022.

http://psc.apl.uw.edu/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/schweiger/ice_volume/BannualVolumeTsCurrent.png

This shows how misleading it can be to compute and display a linear trend if the nature of the phenomenon is cyclic. We’ll see what happens.

They begin every one of these graphs in 1980 as though 1980 was the beginning of time. I think they just don’t want to show the other side of that graph up until 1980.

The chart is for volume, others use extent. Either becomes less reliable prior to modern instrumentation. That seems to have been established about 1980.
However, there are good estimates and charts going much further back.
There are also such things as this: {note the date — 1817}

“It will without doubt have come to your Lordship’s knowledge that a considerable change of climate, inexplicable at present to us, must have taken place in the Circumpolar Regions, by which the severity of the cold that has for centuries past enclosed the seas in the high northern latitudes in an impenetrable barrier of ice has been during the last two years, greatly abated.

(This) affords ample proof that new sources of warmth have been opened and give us leave to hope that the Arctic Seas may at this time be more accessible than they have been for centuries past, and that discoveries may now be made in them not only interesting to the advancement of science but also to the future intercourse of mankind and the commerce of distant nations.”
President of the Royal Society, London, to the Admiralty, 20th November, 1817

In the Forbes article, Anderson points to a map of Harvard’s new $10 billion Allston campus, that I guess should have been inundated by now. Isn’t Harvard on this Global Emergency bandwagon? How could they invest so much in a campus that is a mere 3 m above sea level?

Tom_Morrow

Well, to be fair to the little autistic Scandinavian know-nothing, she didn’t claim the world would end in 5 years, just that it would reach a point of no return in 5 years. She deleted it because if we’re past that point, there is no use in spending absurd amounts of money or regressing our living standards for something we can’t stop. That’s why they keep moving the Magical Climate Point of No Return further into the future, because they can only fleece the sheep when they’re in fear of impending doom and the flim-flammers tell them they have the magic climate elixir.
