Germany is desperately fighting for every kilowatt-hour of energy…blames consumers for supply shortfalls!
Here’s a winning political strategy the German government is using: Just blame the voters for the problems you’ve created. If their mastermind green plans don’t work, it’s the citizens’ fault!
Germany energy site Blackout News here reports that this seems to be precisely the strategy German officials are using. “Now it’s the consumer’s fault if gas isn’t enough.”
One percent gas reserve drop in a single day
Although that it is well-known to the vast majority of people, it seems to be a surprise to the German officials that citizens would turn up the heat to remain comfortable during the wintertime, especially since the mercury dipped well below freezing During much of December.
And this was also the case on December 12th when the gas storage level in German gas storage facilities dropped by more than one percent. This did not please Klaus Müller [Green Party], head of the German Federal Network Agency, who went on the air on ZDF morning television and admonished consumers to be careful with their gas consumption, even if it’s bitter cold outside, “otherwise we won’t get through the winter with the storage reserves”.
Must reach 20 percent reduction
“Indirectly, Müller thus blames consumers for the fact that gas may not be sufficient,” comments Blackout News. “According to Müller, ‘It will become critical if we do not achieve the minus 20 percent gas savings over the entire winter.’”
“That’s downright cynical, because hardly anyone will turn up the thermostats on a whim given the horrendous gas prices. However also nobody wants to freeze in at home,” Blackout News adds further. “He [Müller] is already trying to blame consumers when there’s not enough gas. However, this is not the fault of consumers, but of the German government’s sanctions policy. The federal government alone is to blame for a possible gas shortage.”
“People will feel the crisis hard”
Müller told Germany’s Süddeutsche Zeitung daily that the current rate of consumption must not continue, and that it’s a “battle for every kilowatt-hour”.
Not only this winter is going to be a challenge, but also the following 2023/24 winter, warns Müller. Online Welt here reports: “But next year’s winter will be the even bigger challenge, Müller warned. Germany will have to fill storage facilities in the summer without Russian gas, he said. ‘People will feel the cost of the energy crisis hard.’”
In other news, the price of food has gone up because people are hungry.
Imagine being an older person, facing a bout of Covid in a cold house, with poor quality food because you need the money for barely affordable heating.
Well done German Greens, you’ve managed to inflict misery on lots of people.
Note to Klaus Müller…
When you point a finger at someone three others are pointing back at you.The consumer may have a small percentage of blame for trying to stay warm but German policy has a larger blame for not having sufficient domestic supply.
Not just German Greens
The German Greens will come back with, “but… you’re helping to SAVE the planet” with low energy use. Duh!
My sister in law, who lives in southern Germany, just had her hip replaced at 82. She was discharged from the hospital and moved to a rehab facility which is a former 4 star hotel. To get the physical therapy, she has to get up and walk the hallways, which are unheated. On top of that, they just had an outbreak of Covid.
In the German Federal Election of 26 September 2021, the Green Party won 14.8 percent of the total vote. In the following months, support for the Green Party rose, reaching 26 percent in some polls in August 2022. Since then, support for the Green Party has fallen but still remains at a higher level than it was in the election of 2021. Obviously there are some Germans who are delighted to be in the mess they are in. However, support for the Social Democrats is well below the level they received in the election so maybe they are taking all the blame.
Qu’ils mangent de la brioche !
I’d prefer pizza over cake.
Brioche is not cake.
Pizza is bread
Either way requires Heat Energy to create the end product
brioche is not cake.
pizza is not bread.
pizza is art (delicious art)
Mr. morton: Please refrain from calling pizza art- some greens will throw paint on it! Or glue themselves to it!!
In France pizzerias and bakeries are threatening closure over electricity price.
Bet they could have used some of that global warming about now.
December 5th began the 3 month period of the coldest temps of the winter. Though Western Europe is going to see a little warm up for a week or so, the darkest and coldest days are yet to come.
Just in the personal experience of this old Winter warrior, it always seemed to me that the coldest time in both Europe and the US usually came sometime during the first two weeks of February.
I don’t miss British winters, I remember Februaries.
Flanders and Swann
A Song of the Weather
January brings the snow
Makes your feet and fingers glow
February’s ice and sleet
Freeze the toes right off your feet
Welcome March with wintry wind
Would thou wert not so unkind
April brings the sweet Spring showers
On and on for hours and hours
. . . . .
They have to meet in Mexico to discuss it.
And new leadership, frack, LNG ports, mine coal and nuke plants back on line, Finally, build a military that can defend their LNG ports and Nuke plants. No one East of them love Germans.
The trouble with that is, as global temperature data shows, there is no alarmist predicted global warming
In France they say that global warming is bringing us the cold wave, or something; either way, cold is evidence of warming.
I guess blaming it on the Russians wasn’t playing well?
Remember how German diplomats laughed, when President Trump warned them they could become totally dependent on Russian energy.
The German politicians aren’t laughing now. Instead, they are begging people to use less natural gas.
The delusional alarmist Western politicans have really gotten things screwed up with their focus on Net Zero, and the damage they have done so far will take a long time to fix even if we started right now. The economic destruction resulting from trying to rein in CO2 is harming people now and is going to cause great harm to millions of people in the future.
Our political class is failing us over their unwarranted obsession with CO2. And their failure is going to result in death and destruction. And they don’t seem able/willing to change course.
Idiocracy is here.
Idiocracy is deadly.
Trump’s warning was too late in the game. US LNG should have been part of the Germany energy supply by 2011-2012 if not earlier. The heavily funded Green attack on Fossil Fuel and Fracking started as soon as it became public Shale Gas was a thing.. Bush failed and Obama’s Dem’s stalled it. The role the US energy companies had in stalling the US NG/LNG export industry is unknown to me. But I am sure there are people reading WUWT that know far more than I do. I started to research Shale gas and the energy industry due to what I learned in WUWT in the early days of the blog. I am no energy analyst.
The German leadership cannot blame itself. If you blame the Russians, you blame the German leadership who shut down the nuke power to cut a deal with the monopoly that had been biting them for Nord Stream, A leadership, who could have fracked their own gas, mined their own coal, built a military who could defend their own LNG ports they never built.
Citizens need to start applying pressure for reversals of the green crap – if not, they should point the finger at themselves
A very important issue: The energy crisis in Germany (and in the EU) is definitely home made with some assistance from the “west” (s. the sabotage of the Nordstream pipelines): Long term energy contracts are forbidden in the EU, self made sanctions even against the most basic interests of Germany and EU, etc.
I believe they thought all their green energy investments would be doing the heavy lifting by now. Morons.
do you have any evidence on who sabotaged the Nordstream pipelines?
That was going to be my question.
Right now, it’s just an unsubstantiated assertion.
I’m open to the idea that it might be anyone- I’m not saying America or the UK wouldn’t do it. Whoever did it certainly planned it out carefully so we don’t yet know. It seems hard to believe that Russia would damage its own pipeline but just because they deny doing it doesn’t mean I’d believe a word they say. Recall how they denied they were going to attack Ukraine. No doubt Ukraine was happy it happened but I doubt they had the capability to do it. I’m actually amazed anyone would do it. Russia might have done it to prove they could – so they could damage other pipelines and communication cables- nice threat.
We are living in interesting times. Just consider gain of function research.
Crises used to be something to be taken advantage of; now they are created.
“I’m open to the idea that it might be anyone-”
Me, too. I just haven’t seen any evidence singling out a particular party.
The American Sixth fleet was conducting exercises in the vicinity at the time, including alleged submarine pipeline repair practice.
The damage was at the Western end, furthest from Russia. It would have been a bold/foolish move for the Russians to send any vessels there.
Putin is not known for timid intelligent moves. The pipelines ere a sunk cost and had no more practical use to Russia what with all the sanctions. Using them for propaganda and to sow confusion is right in line with his other operations. He’s just as plausible as any western country.
The Russians did send vessels there. The Sedov and the Mir were on location at the time.
Plus or course there are vessels regularly plying the Baltic from Russia and Kaliningrad of almost every description. They do have right of passage.
The Baltic Sea is completely controlled by NATO (sensors, electronic warning systems, etc.). It is extremely unlikely that any movement/action movement (even underwater) would remain undetected for NATO.
Dear Mr. Zorzin,
Even the Washington Post writes now that it would be very unlikely that the Russians have sabotaged the Nordstream pipelines. An information only for you: Even the police starts an investigation always trying to answer the question “Qui prodest?”. Would you mean, please, that the sabotage of the Nordstream pipelines would be in the interest of Russland and/or Germany? Maybe the SMS from Liz Truss to Mr. Blinken is also known for you… Or would you mean, please, that WP would be a “Putin-media”?
I wouldn’t trust anything the WP says. In general, I don’t trust anything any media says. I’m extremely skeptical of just about everything, like all religion and all politics, unless I see it for myself. As of now, we have no idea who damaged the pipelines. If I had to make a wild guess- I’d say the UK, with no evidence other than I’m confident they could do it without getting caught if they so desired. Why? Not sure- other than to stop the money flow to Russia.
How could supposedly educated people that have been elected to any parliament in the world collectively make the decision to rely on another country for gas.
Germany needs a massive amount of energy to keep their industry working .
We are are seeing absolutely dumb decisions made in many countries around the world in the name of climate change .
Why would any country ban all new off shore oil and gas exploration and development?
All countries will be using oil and gas and all the products that are made using oil and gas for a very long time.
The world will rely on coking coal to produce iron and steel for as long as people are living on this earth .
For instance nitrogenous fertilizer is essential to feed half of the worlds population and the only way to produce the vast tonnage needed is by using natural gas to manufacture ammonia and then into urea .
What so many people do not acknowledge is that even if the worlds population stabilizes or starts to reduce so much maintenance has to be carried out on all infrastructure.
Highways ,ports ,air ports and all public and private buildings .
The power stations ,manufacturing plants and all machinery ,all housing needs regular maintenance .
I just hope that people will soon come to realize that the world cannot feed the present population and maintain infrastructure without natural gas and fossil fuel .
One of the most advanced, educated and sophisticated countries in the world yet they precipitated two terrible world wars. Evidently deficient in wisdom.
The problem is that there are, unlike new humans, not inexhaustible supplies of either.
I believe this fact is the only one the ArtStudents™ in Government actually understand.
Then the Green companies promise them a way out with renewable energy.
Its an expensive cul-de-sac that is very hard to reverse out of, without losing a lot of money and admitting you were wrong.
Germans are very proud of being Germans, unlike us Brits who are taught to be ashamed of even existing.
It is going to be devastating to the German psyche.
There’s a book about how and why highly credentialed people make really stupid decisions: Skin in the Game by Nassim Taleb.
The day of reckoning is coming.
Looks like it’s already arrived.
It’s really become a strange world we live in now. I do not know what to call it except mass delusion by the influencers in the MSM who brainwash the sheep that consume the sensational /apocalyptic stories and then put foolish politicians in office that have never had to actually build or create anything practical in the real world. (Except Trump) So what we are left with now is deluded, stupid and corrupt. I fear for the world in 2023.
That’s why they are known as The Misleadia
The MSM is the most dangerous organization on the planet. Their lies and distortions of reality are designed to take away our personal freedoms.
As a student of history, I can assure you that nothing has changed. It has always been a ‘game of thrones’ and the devil take the peasant with the pitchfork.
The war of Jenkin’s Ear…the War of the Spanish Succession, the Crusades…WWI (Lions, led by donkeys)
The diffeneces are marked solely by the technology in use. Stones and clubs, Bows and arrows, swords and armour, knights on horseback, the cannon, the musket, the rifle the machine gun, the howitzer…and today, smart bombs, drones missiles and so on.
And above all, the Internet.
The Geeks gave you the Internet, and the Geek shall inherit the Earth...now anyone can tell anyone else anything…
…no wonder that the battle of today is actually the Battle of The Internet, being fought with Denial Of Service attacks, Hacks, Scams, and above all armies of carefully trained trolls using all the propaganda methodolgy refined in the Cold War to befuuddle and confuse the semi-intelligent.
Bullshit Baffles Brains.
By the way where are our own resident pair of propagandists – Griff and Nick Stokes?…Have they had to get ProperJobs after the Kremlin stopped their paychecks?
Nothing has changed, except the Internet has made it rather obvious what is going on behind the news.
What’s the old saying?
“If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, then baffle them with bullshit.”
Yep. A lot of “baffle them with bullshit” going on these days. And, actually, has been for centuries. The “baffle” factor has been around for a very long time, with “brilliance” sadly lacking most of the time.
Has griff commented since the registration requirement?
I think one of the “people” using the griff account commented and replied just before the reg req, but don’t know, or care, if they have since.
And don’t forget that there’s no need to burn books anymore. The Internet has made “Fahrenheit 451” a bit dated.
It’s much easier to just “edit” the source of the data or information.
Wikipedia is a prime example. Temperature records etc.
German Government wouldn’t certify Nordstream II for service
American Government/ Western Allies indirectly condoned stabotage of Nordstream I
Now Germany is short of gas
You make your bed and now you have to lay in it
“American Government/ Western Allies indirectly condoned stabotage of Nordstream I”
What exactly does “indirectly condoned” mean in this case?
Watch Biden make a threat to the pipeline back in February. It seems fairly unambiguous to me.
The pipeline ceased pperatio two months before the sabotage. Biden’s objective was already achieved.
If the pipeline had ceased operation before the sabotage, why was there so much gas seen bubbling to the surface after the sabotage? Was that just some Hollywood simulation?
If you are pumping natural gas through a pipeline and then you stop pumping, the natural gas doesn’t just disappear, it’s still in the pipeline. If one blows a hole in the pipeline, natural gas will escape and come to the surface of the ocean.
Biden was talking about Nordstream II, Biden didn’t have to blow it up, the German government cancelled the deal.
The German government is a Stalin tribute act.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the impoverished people in Western Europe and North America this winter! Once again their leaders have gathered them for a fleecing, but this time they seem to be intent on culling the herd as well!
Green remonstrants chant, “Power to the sheeeeeeeeeple!”
I’d rather reserve my thoughts for the people of Russia who are about to find their resident Pied Piper has taken all their children and sent them to the meat grinder of Bhakmut.
Never, in the field of human conflict, were so many sacrificed, so much, for so little.
The world is resounding to the wingbeats of turkeys coing home to roost, as all the opportunistic ill advised policies of the truly incompetent World Leaders are now coming home, excreting just behind the fans of media attention.
People are realizing they really dont need them at all, but can the human race survive without Glorious Leaders?
Watch this space.
Perhaps the USA needs the Donald. The world’s first Inglorious Leader. In the UK the word ‘trump’ means ‘fart’ and perhaps a dose of The Donald will relieve the gas pains of the Democrats…
I happen to think that it has been Zelensky that has been keen to use many younger men in his country as cannon fodder. Had he negotiated a settlement before the war escalated in 2021 he may well have saved well over a 100 000 Ukrainian lives – a number that Ursula von den Leyen let slip recently.
You mean Zelensky should have negotiated giving away some of his country to Czar Putin who recently raved about the glories of Pete The Great? As for Ursula, you suggest she’s a perfect source of facts?
Apparently, Commander Zero is going to grace our Congress with his presence today.
Is that the reason for his wife’s 40000 Euro shopping spree in Paris?
Wouldn’t want her to not look her best in front of us rubes.
Yup – arrived on AF2 – isn’t that Hunter Biden’s plane? Hope he brought the checks!
Western countries in general and Russia and Ukraine specifically, with 1.5 and 1.2 births/woman respectively, should value their citizen’s lives more highly.
That’s why you just have to open your borders and allow all those young fecund mlitary age couples who will vote your party for evah!
“Had he negotiated a settlement” – you mean “Peace for our time”?
Your are muddling history. Putin is no Stalin or Lenin or Hitler. Chamberlain was foolish because Hitler’s actions in the preceding years should have been a clear red light.
And Putin’s taking of Crimea 8 years ago wasn’t a clear red light? Hitler wasn’t even in power 8 years before the Munich Agreement.
Why did the (German) Barmen Declaration, four years before the Munich Agreement, clearly oppose Nazi ideology if it was not clearly a threat? What about the actions of Hitler in the nearly four years preceding the Munich agreement? I do not think we should see an equivalence between what happened in Crimea and Hitler’s expansions.
You said, “Chamberlain was foolish because Hitler’s actions in the preceding years should have been a clear red light.”
The only military action Hitler had taken was the re-militarization of the Rhineland, as far as I am aware. Not a shot fired, as the Allies had evacuated the area West of the Rhine a year or so prior.
Putin has fomented and openly supported Civil War in Ukraine for years, and it is well known he wishes he could rebuild the Soviet Union. To him, Ukraine is part of historic Russia, not dissimilar to Hitler’s Anschluss, where again, not a shot was fired, and was cemented with fake referendums.
What kind of a settlement would you have negotiated with Putin? Give away the country? The 20% east of the Dniper River? At what point do you defend your country from a criminal dictator?
Assessment does not work.
Putin is a rat and would never keep his word .
Where is the glorious United Nations which was formed after the 2nd World War to prevent this sort of invasion of another country ?
The UN has been taken over by socialists and become so ineffective in nearly every thing it attempts.
The UN it is using the threat of climate change to form an unelected socialist world government .
Appeasement bl—dy spell checker
Socialism and Communism has a terrible track record and so has the UN and its agencies. Why are many young Westerners blindly accepting a neo-Marxism but ignoring that formerly Marxist countries despise the ideology? Could it be exploitative Capitalism – crony or monopoly Capitalism – that puts power and wealth in the hands of a few not unlike what has happened in Communist countries?
Both Putin and Zelensky have enriched themselves. I am not convinced that Putin cannot be trusted while Zelensky can. Both have their selfish interests. Which one would sacrifice more lives to achieve his goals? I would like to see the war end soon but see too many Western politicians and leaders pouring gas on the flames of the war. One rarely hears a voice calling for peace. War is brutal and the effects will be felt well into the future. There is a parallel with climate alarmists, a mindless response without considering the costs and consequences of their foolish actions.
Military experts, geopolitical observers and people on the ground in Ukraine are reporting that the country will be lucky to survive as an entity by summer 2023. It will not exist at all if Poland decides to reclaim regions which are historically Polish assuming Putin doesn’t want them.
Meanwhile, Russians are barely affected by the conflict and are most certainly not in the dire state Germans finds themselves. Putin also enjoys approval ratings north of 80% whilst Biden is down at 30% or so and I don’t think we Brit’s dare run a popularity poll for Rishi Sunak and his Tory party.
Rather than the Putin government being overthrown it seems it may be Biden who gets impeached for his and his son’s activities and officials in the EU are being arrested with suitcases full of dirty money.
If Russia does prevail in Ukraine the west will be exposed as a weak and spent global force and the cause of globalism will be defeated. Perhaps the only good thing that might spill from the whole affair.
I recall reading somewhere that Putin vowed to expose western elitism when he intervened to settle the Ukraine/NATO issue and it seems that’s precisely what’s happening.
A complete misread of the situation, imo.
The first paragraph is the opinion of credible military experts and geopolitical observers. I’m pretty certain they know more about the situation than either of us do.
The second paragraph is simply a statement of fact.
The third paragraph is what’s been promised by Republicans following the mid terms.
The fourth paragraph is, again, a statement of fact.
The fifth paragraph is supported by the corruption in the EU being exposed.
I’m not supportive of either Putin or Zelensky. This is their fight and the west should not be involved. It need not have happened but Boris Johnson insisted Zelensky not negotiate when he was prepared to in March/April(?). The west wanted Ukraine as a nuclear armed NATO base which, understandably, is unacceptable to Russia and what purpose would it have served the west?
Meanwhile, more facts are clear. Other than a couple of bodged up rockets killing a couple of people in Russia the country is wholly unaffected by the conflict. Ukraine, on the other hand, has lost 50% of it’s power grid and at least 100,000 soldiers. Russia is devoting at least 300,000 reservist’s (mostly combat veterans) to it’s original 180,000 and there are at least 100,000 militia and then the Wagner group.
Ukraine’s original army (which was very good) extended to 400,000 so even ignoring the losses they are now facing a force of nearly twice their numbers.
Does that mean they will lose the conflict? Under normal circumstances and with a home advantage I would say no however, the country is now scrounging weaponry from wherever it can get it and the west is running low on weapons itself. Much of the sophisticated weaponry (Patriots etc.) don’t work with soviet era radar and targeting systems so there’s a high probability they would be shooting down their own missiles.
Ukraine is so desperate it’s fired a missile into Poland in an attempt to provoke a nuclear response from a NATO member, and fired on a Russian nuclear facility (military airstrip) in the full knowledge that Russia has historically deemed any attack on a nuclear site deserving of a nuclear response. They have wisely not implemented that policy.
Hot Scot, you are being attacked for not following the western political and media narrative. They have totally discredited themselves in their understanding of climate and like you I would not trust their re-writing of history. The idea that Putin is a scoundrel and Zelensky a saint is far removed from reality.
I wonder if the West is not using the whole situation as a smokescreen for their own incompetence, maladministration and corruption. We have had some pretty bad leaders since the sixties but I somehow think this is the worst bunch of Western leaders.
‘I wonder if the West is not using the whole situation as a smokescreen for their own incompetence, maladministration and corruption.’
Sounds reasonable. What we’re also witnessing is a continuation of the unholy alliance of progressives and neoconservatives against limited government populism.
“What we’re also witnessing is a continuation of the unholy alliance of progressives and neoconservatives against limited government populism.”
That’s correct. They are conspiring to take away our personal freedoms and give themselves power.
“The first paragraph is the opinion of credible military experts and geopolitical observers. I’m pretty certain they know more about the situation than either of us do.”
I wouldn’t say that. Military leaders make mistakes and look at things wrongly all the time. Being a military leader doesn’t magically make one smart.
In every battle there is a winning general and a losing general. We shouldn’t listen to losing generals.
“The first paragraph is the opinion of credible military experts and geopolitical observers. I’m pretty certain they know more about the situation than either of us do.”
Well let’s see a quality quote for that?
“The second paragraph is simply a statement of fact.”
Ummm no it’s not. You could never trust(unless you were an idiot) polls who Putin’s Russia and Biden is at 43% at this point.
I’ll stop there because the rest is just opinion and much of it nonsense.
You somehow trust American polling?
LOL. How sweet.
Absolutely I do. Especially one like fivethirtyeight which compiles all of them together then gives an average. Certainly a whole lot better than Vlad’s numbers.
But let’s not waste time with that. Where’s you credible quote that….
“Military experts, geopolitical observers and people on the ground in Ukraine are reporting that the country will be lucky to survive as an entity by summer 2023. It will not exist at all if Poland decides to reclaim regions which are historically Polish assuming Putin doesn’t want them.”
I mean you said it so surely you have a quote to back this up.
Search for Colonel McGregor on YouTube. There are many others, you need only take time to look for something that jars your narrative.
German Officials Blame Gas Shortage on Consumers
Yep, the proletariat rabble keep doing all the normal things humans do to survive while their wise masters keep doing everything to make their lives more difficult. I wonder when Germans will get some new officials; the kind that know a thing or two about energy and how economics works.
They could make a good start by selecting some Engineers!
Gruns have a solution :
“Vee must triple dee vind farms !”
When socialism fails the answer is more socialism.
States that call themselves democracies have some of the same issues. Maybe the philosophy “When central planning fails the answer is more central planning” is the problem. This even in the face of the success of market economics operating under society beneficial rules.
Hasn’t it previously been the case that German officialdom sought to blame others for their problems. Mind, last time it was a particulat religious group, whereas now it is all of their own citizens! Not many people will be persuaded to believe them THIS time!
Germans are never wrong. It is always someone else’s fault. My BIL is an ex Nazi. All the schoolkids in 1944 were Nazis, in the Hitler Youth. The Third Reich’s answer to the Boy Scouts…. They never went away, they ran Germany after the war, they collected their pensions from their time serving hitler during the war, and then they ran the EU…
The idea of a Greater Germany, because Germans are naturally better at running stuff, is subconscious and ineradicable.
Those attitudes look likely to collide with history, yet again.
“Just blame the voters for the problems you’ve created. If their mastermind green plans don’t work, it’s the citizens’ fault!”
Why does this sound familiar? Didn’t somebody blame the German people (and his generals) for the loss of a war some 77 years ago?
It’s never the govt’s fault.
Exactly. Saw this after I posted the same thought.
You know, Hitler blamed his failure on the German people. Said something to the effect that if they did not win, they were not worthy.
correct rah, and todays words of shame are…if you are not freezing to death, you are not good german.
The obvious answer is to rush out Legislation to cap fossil fuel prices and print more money for people to afford power-
I thought heat pumps were/are the answer, no? (snicker)
–1974 US energy companies: “your demand for energy is the problem… it is running out”
–Mean Greenies: a long crescendo, ‘you are the problem’
–Pandemic you are the problem
–Biden–your demand for energy is a problem
–German Leadership you are the problem.
Who really is the problem?
German Leadership and Putin’s anti-fossil fuel covert propaganda operation are to blame.
— German leadership finished shutting down their nuke power in 2015 for green reasons
— 2011 German leadership cuts a deal with the monopoly that had been biting them for Nord Stream, How green is this?
— Nord stream is motivated by a stalled Brazilian and US LNG industry caused by anti-fossil fuel and anti-fracking propaganda at least partly funded by Russian a covert propaganda operation.
–Russians cut NG to Germany and Nord Stream is bombed.
” Green energy will supply the people.”
” The Luftwaffe can supply Stalingrad.”
The furnace kicks on when the thermostat detects that the inside temp has fallen below the setpoint. When it’s colder outside, it just takes more gas/electricity to keep up. This is totally automatic. No one needs to “turn up the heat”.
Complete lack of any sense of humour. That’s Germany.
This one’s epic, we need this guy to take climate science apart.
Is Santa Claus Gluten Sensitive?
(A variation on the Retroencabulator – BUT, how many wotsits spoken in jest)
Failure to take responsibility for one’s own actions is the standard response of sociopaths/psychopaths everywhere. Looks the German leaders are outing their actual mental illnesses for the world to see. Along with the rest of the world’s “leaders”. Most of them, not all, exhibit a tendency to sacrifice citizens(sheeple) at the altar of the climate cultist religion.
When will the common sense logical thinking folks have had enough and put an end to the charade foisted upon the world in the name “climate”?
It is sad to see the once great industrial giant Germany now a weak, cold impoverished vassal of its former self
Incompetent, green encrusted leadership and its decades long reliance, at the detriment of indigenous energy sources, on Russian gas & oil, as part of the EU polar express dream ticket, have left it on a par with some third world developing nation
This green ideology authoritarianism has spread widely in EU countries, including the UK which luckily escaped the unelected cabal
There will be a social tipping point, as cold weather deaths increase and hunger and poverty bite harder, when citizens will firmly reject any more green crap – they increasingly see the costs and results are not conducive to a prosperous, healthy future
“as cold weather deaths increase”
These will be reported as deaths due to the latest Covid variant. There will be no msm reports of old people dying of cold and hunger.
“Please sir, can I have some more electricity?”
“How dare you!”
There’s a dark, thin, winding stairway
Without any bannister
Which we’ll throw him down, and feed him on
Cockroaches served in a canister
Lionel Bart had a remarkable degree of foresight…
Oh, but it is the consumers fault, unless they have the same voting procedures as Arizona and Pennsylvania. They voted for the politicians that brought them Energiewende. Being willfully ignorant isn’t an excuse in Germany or the U.S.
Damn our citizens for wishing to retain their 20th century standard of living!
My favorite clip is Trump at the UN telling the Germans this was going to happen and they laughed and laughed!!!!
