Yup, continuation of the Biggest Lie, the ridiculous notion that a warmer climate is worse, when it is in fact better.
They didn’t call the much-warmer-than-today “Holocene Climate OPTIMUM” an “optimum” because the weather was so “bad” under those conditions. Quite the opposite.
I just looked up Anthony on Wikipedia. It says he runs a “popular climate change denial blog”. Funny, but I don’t recall seeing here anybody denying that the climate never changes.
Did I hear Linnea correctly? Did she say that the logarithmic saturation effect of GHGs is not taught in college and university courses? That might explain why so many scientists (especially the younger ones) are in the alarmist camp today.
NO ONE claims CO2 forcing would increase “linnearly”. So no, Linnea is incorrect and it is a pointless statement.

that doesn’t mean to say that what was claimed is wrong, is it taught or is it not?
Something that is omitted is not the same as no one claiming that it is linear, especially if students assume it is?

Guess what the “ln” (natural logarithm) stands for? Yes, it is about the logarithmic nature of CO2 forcing. You will not get around this in the most basic climate education. The claim it was not taught is indeed perfectly wrong. And she is supposed to know this. The question is only, if you call it a logarithmic function, or “saturation”, which some scepticals seem to prefer.
I do not understand what the point here is. There is appalling nonsense in “the science”, but the critical side barely deals with it. On the other side it delivers bad, or simply wrong arguments, making me defend “the science” against my will, so to say..

What strikes me from reading this subject and your blog over many years is the recursive nature of the arguments FOR “agw”/climate change which are shown to be wrong from the physics to the statistics and back again. It seems AGW is like Disney films used to be. They come round every seven years and there’s one born every minute ready to be drawn in.
