Fox News has done a little digging into that joyful character named Roger Hallam.
Roger Hallam — the founder of Just Stop Oil, a far-left British climate activist organization — once downplayed the Holocaust as a “normal event” and said climate change was a more serious threat.
Hallam, who also founded the climate group Extinction Rebellion, said in 2019 that there were many other instances of cruelty in human history besides the Holocaust, in an interview at the time with German media outlet Die Zeit, according to The Guardian. After facing widespread criticism for the comments, Hallam noted the climate crisis was another Holocaust on a “far greater scale.”“They went to the Congo in the late 19th century and decimated it,” he continued. “[The Holocaust was] almost a normal event. Just another f—ery in human history.”

After being justifiably condemned Hallam gave a typical non-apology backtracking statement. i.e. , but what we are dealing with now is worse!
“I want to fully acknowledge the unimaginable suffering caused by the Nazi Holocaust that led to all of Europe saying ‘never again,'” Hallam said. “But it is happening again, on a far greater scale and in plain sight. The global north is pumping lethal levels of CO2 into the atmosphere and simultaneously erecting ever greater barriers to immigration, turning whole regions of the world into death zones.”
“That is the grim reality. We are allowing our governments to willingly, and in full knowledge of the science, engage in genocide of our young people and those in the global south by refusing to take emergency action to reduce carbon emissions.”

It’s time to take down the Masters Work and hang “Prints” in their place. Then, when JSO thugs come in and destroy one, while they stand there, take down the old print and hang a new one in its place. They’ll soon stop.
What gets me about people who go around claiming that all of these horrible things will happen if we don’t “do something” (as if you could) about climate change. When in reality, if even half of what is planned on being done to try and stop climate variations, there will indeed be some horrible effects to be seen.
Yes, with “net zero” coming to pass (heaven help us if it ever gets that far) there will be mass migrations, and probably not in the direction Hallam thinks! People will be pouring out of California, New York, much of Western Europe, maybe Canada and eventually much of the US. They will be going to places where there still is sufficient fuel (at reasonable prices) to support a typical western lifestyle of having automobiles, gas (for heat and cooking) and electricity that stays on all or most of the time. And they will be leaving behind formerly developed countries that at one time, led the world in the industrial revolution. Countries that will continue to devolve into third world fecal holes.
Please identify those places, and will they let us in?
I’m an art lover- been to most of the major art museums in America. I’m thrilled by great art- don’t know why as I’ve never studied it- maybe it’s the weed I indulge in first.
But, if I was in a museum and saw some idiot with his/her hand glue to a great work of art- I’d walk over that fool and say, “rip your hand off this instant or I’ll have to do it for you while punching your lights out”. And I would too.

I’ve thought about this. They are basically kidnapping the painting and holding it hostage. You can’t rip their hand the painting off without destroying it. They know this. They are going to be still as possible, daring you to do anything that would damage it.
What you have to do is bring in a team to gently work their hand loose. I don’t know if that is possible; anything which could dissolve the glue would surely damage the painting too. But if possible, try anything.
Otherwise, surround them with burly guards and screens so no one else can see them. Deny them the publicity. Provide no food, no water, no toilet facility. Isolate them from sound, turn out the lights. Make them sleepy. Every few minutes, ask them what procedure and chemicals to use to free their hand from the painting, make it clear they are going to be responsible for all the millions in damages it takes to get their hand off. And the minute they do any damage, now they are the criminal.

What is a “lethal level” of CO2? certainly north of 3000ppm. As CO2 is not causing any measurable change in temp and seems to be helping crops and greening the planet, I think we need more.

A little research reveals a lot about Roger Hallam. First, he couldn’t make a living growing food, so instead of realizing that he was just a hopeless twat (using the British English sense of the word) at farming, he blamed climate. Seems to not matter that the rest of the world grows lots of food in the same climate, in his case it was all climate change’s fault. He then found it was easier to form protest groups and have people send him money; the regular terminology on his websites is ‘Donate’.
I find mentions that ‘he was studying for a PhD’ at some time–but no mention that I could find about undergraduate degrees. Now I admit I was in university before he was born, but darned if I didn’t have in my mindset that one has to obtain bachelors and masters degrees first. It was certainly the case before he was born, maybe things have changed. Or was it just a self-proclaimed PhD; that fits the rest of what I learn about him.
His support is almost legendary–“He stood unsuccessfully in the 2019 European Parliament election in the London constituency as an independent, winning 924 of the 2,241,681 votes cast (0.04%)”. I guess I’m not the only person who thinks of him in British English terms.
And sadly, he had the solution to all his problems within his grasp–“In March 2017, Hallam went on hunger strike to demand the university divest from fossil fuels…”–but somebody fed him.
(With food grown by somebody else, of course.)

If you look at history, events inspiring never-again slogans happened often. During the Reign of Terror of the French Revolution, thousands of women and children would be put on barges that were then sunk. Its has essentially been forgotten, although it’s still there in Wikipedia.
Climate change hysteria might be unprecedented. Humans in general are seen as parasites instead of racial, religious or political affiliations used to dehumanize some. I’m guessing, since many still get taxpayers to fly them to a bunker, that there will be a lucky few that survive the stupidity.
