King Charles & David Attenborough parrot WWF activist nonsense they naively accept as ‘science’

From Polar Bear Science HT/Cam_S

Dr. Susan Crockford

The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) was created in 1961 to raise funds for wildlife conservation and immediately recruited European royalty to help attract wealthy benefactors. At first it was a novel good cause and this is why Britain’s royal family, plus their close friend David Attenborough, have been loyal supporters for six decades. However, for more than twenty years, the WWF has not been the benevolent conservation organization that it was in the 1960s yet these powerful men support them with more vigor than ever.

Prince Philip was the first president of the WWF-UK but ended his association with the group when they morphed into a politicized activist organization lobbying for the limitation of fossil fuels to curb human-caused global warming. However, Prince Charles, now King Charles III, became even more involved in WWF propaganda machine and eventually initiated son William, now heir apparent, into doing the same.

When the WWF began falsely promoting itself as a scientific authority a dozen or so years ago, these naive elite boosters accepted it without question, parroting unsubstantiated WWF climate doomsday talking points at every opportunity. These men don’t speak with an authority of their own knowledge on this topic: they use their exalted positions to assist the WWF and others achieve their utopian dream: destroy for others the capitalism that created their own wealth and power.

It is clear now that many of the goals of the WWF are also shared by the World Economic Forum (WEF), and that these complement the vision the King and David Attenborough have for the future. They all want a return to a world with fewer people that live meager, circumscribed lives while the rich carry on their jet-setting ways. The King will lobby again for their collective vision of the world this Friday at Buckingham Palace.

Attenborough also spoke out on the topic in person a few weeks ago (see below) after years of making documentaries and public statements that make his position very clear. Attenborough became an official WWF ambassador in 2015, the same year that the WWF partnered with Netflix and the BBC to make their first documentary, ‘Our Planet’. The WWF’s warped perception of science prevailed in ‘Our Planet’, so it’s no wonder the documentary is full of misleading and deceptive information. The film featured the infamous falling walrus fiasco that is the focus of my book, Fallen Icon: Sir David Attenborough and the Walrus Deception.

I have copied an excerpt below about the WWF-Royalty-Attenborough connection as important background to understanding the power structure of the climate change and animal conservation agenda that is now being pushed hard in an emotionally manipulative manner. I have spent years showing that conditions in the natural world are not as bad as Attenborough and the WWF insist and so do not warrant extreme ‘solutions’ as proposed by King Charles, the WEF, and many who will attend the COP 27. I will continue resisting this utopian fantasy.

Excerpt from Fallen Icon

World Wildlife Fund, aka World Wildlife Fund for Nature

The WWF was founded in 1961 by businessmen as a way to help raise money for the newly-formed International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), which was having financial trouble carrying out its mission to protect species at risk of extinction. WWF set up shop at IUCN headquarters in Switzerland, tying the two together by money. Because it aimed to attract wealthy benefactors – many of whom had a passion for African safaris – the WWF did not condemn hunting. It finally did impose restrictions on hunting in 1965 but only for those holding office at the WWF, on land ‘set aside for prosperity with WWF money’. Hunting in general or even trophy hunting specifically was never actively discouraged.[i]

Prince Bernhard, consort of Queen Juliana of The Netherlands was the first high-profile president of WWF International, while Prince Philip, consort of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, became the president of WWF-UK. In European royal tradition, both were avid big game hunters and generated considerable controversy for doing so in the early 1960s while promoting the new WWF conservation organization. They both eventually stopped hunting overseas although they kept hunting in Europe.[ii]

The WWF had lofty goals from the beginning but it took a while to amass the funds needed to really make a difference. Its first major grant was $38,000 to the Smithsonian Institution in 1973 to study the tiger population in Nepal.[iii] Over the years, WWF became very effective at its fund raising and lobbying for conservation causes.[iv] By 2010 it was an exceedingly wealthy and successful business: it had offices in 82 countries, more than 5,000 staff, and a total operating revenue of €524,963,000 (equivalent to just under three-quarters of a billion US dollars at that time).[v]

The WWF’s first venture into promoting the concept of human-caused global warming and its looming catastrophe appears to have come in 1999, when it established a ‘Climate Savers’ program that partnered with corporations to help them reduce greenhouse gas emissions.[vi]  In 2004, they developed a program to encourage the public to describe how they had personally experienced the effects of human-caused climate change, who they called ‘climate witnesses’. Although such stories were not verified and therefore could not be considered facts or evidence, a ‘Climate Witness Scientific Advisory Panel’ of experts was established. The job of these experts was to put a quasi-scientific stamp of approval on the tales of climate woe.[vii] Were they, or were they not, consistent with expected effects of climate change? Approved anecdotes were later published as ‘Climate Witness Fact Sheets’ that could be downloaded from the WWF website.

These initial ventures into the climate change narrative seem to have been the impetus for the WWF to start positioning and promoting itself as a trusted scientific authority on topics related to conservation and environmental protection (as it did to the UK House of Commons in 2014), rather than merely a fund-raising organization whose role was to help other organizations save species and habitats.[viii] For more than a decade, it has been wealthy enough to employ people with degrees in conservation biology – who we are encouraged to think of as unbiased scientists rather than activists with university degrees – and to fund research projects we are encouraged to think of as unbiased scientific studies rather than exercises in circular reasoning.[ix]

The very nature of the organization means that all employees and associates have a skewed vision of the world and an agenda that must be served, which tends to distort any research before it can even begin.[x] Since 1998, the WWF had been producing a ‘Living Planet Report’ on the state of the planet, based on studies of dubious validity and interpreted through the peculiar lens of WWF advocacy. However, obviously that wasn’t impactful enough – the organization finally branched out into big-ticket climate change documentaries in 2015, where their distorted interpretations of science could be turned into high-definition infomercials sold as educational entertainment – which is where Attenborough and the story of Pacific walruses came into play.[xi]

Before that, however, the WWF had been assisting cash-poor small communities across the Arctic (including Russia, Greenland, Canada and Alaska) protect themselves from polar bear attacks. Polar bear problems across the Arctic became increasingly common after the turn of the 21st century as polar bear numbers continued to grow after they received international protection from overhunting in 1973.[xii] However, the amount of cash invested in these programs has been small when considered against the organization’s enormous wealth. For example in 2020, WWF-Russia finally – after more than a decade of ‘partnership’ – assisted in the purchase of an ATV and a snowmobile for the village of Ryrkaipiy in Chukotka, which has had a problem with bears since at least 2006; in other areas, WWF trains and pays the small wages for a few polar bear guards who are undoubtedly happy to have any amount of cash for a few months (living as they do in economies where opportunities to earn money are rare).[xiii]

At the same time, the WWF exploit these occasions to indoctrinate local residents and their children to the current WWF view of the world, which gives them loyal local contacts they can depend upon for information and logistical support. However, most critically, these WWF programs are promoted heavily to the general public as ‘good works’: often, journalists are convinced to write about these helpful programs, giving the organization important free publicity.[xiv] On balance, the PR value of these Arctic programs – in terms of the increased donations to the WWF they generate – is almost certainly much larger than the costs to run them, which is one of the reasons the organization has become so rich.

David Attenborough has had a long association with the WWF in Britain. WWF-UK was the first national organization established after WWF-International was formed. In 1961, Prince Philip (Duke of Edinburgh, husband to Queen Elizabeth II) served as its first president, from 1961 to 1982, a role his son Prince Charles took on in 2011. Remarkably, Prince Philip withdrew his support for the organization when the WWF began its aggressive campaign against global warming, even as his son Charles became a more fervent advocate.[xv] Attenborough never had such an epiphany: he came on board the WWF-UK along with the royal family in the early 1960s and has served as an official WWF ‘Ambassador’ since at least June 2015.[xvi]

Attenborough has always held the WWF in high regard – even after it morphed from a conservation fund-raising organization of the IUCN into a billion dollar conglomerate that required many millions of dollars in donations annually just to cover operating expenses and lobbying activities. Not being a scientist himself and therefore able to know better, he trusts the scientific authority of the WWF: if they say a Sixth Mass Extinction is imminent or that unsustainable human activity is pushing the planet’s natural systems that support life on Earth to the edge, he not only believes them but enthusiastically passes along the message.[xvii] It is therefore hardly surprising that Attenborough would see a business deal to make a documentary with the WWF as a wonderful opportunity.

Attenborough is not to be trusted for more reasons than this. He’s a member of the UK Humanist Society, which means he subscribes to their Manifesto. Check out their beliefs and goals in Humanist Manifesto II online. That Charles has formed a trusted friendship with this man is of great concern.

With King Charles desperate to see more general support for his relatively unpopular wife, he needs to tread very carefully when he approaches a subject as politically-charged as Climate Change. Attitudes on this subject are rapidly changing as technically-illiterate politicians are seen to be supporting unsupportable actions like mandating electric cars while the nation freezes in winter.

Since Prince Charles became King Charles his freedom to attend these annual ‘Climate Alarm’ jamborees, are constrained by Royal protocol. His original intention to be a key note speaker at the COP27 has been blocked by those Royal procedures and protocol. To overcome his inability to attend the Alarmists fear festival (or COP27 as it is titled) in person, he has adopted this fudge meeting or ‘reception’ at the Royal household. His speech to the gathering will be recorded and guess what? That speech will be played to the main gathering of Alarmist devotees in Egypt at COP 27.
Charles is playing a very dangerous game of Climate cat and mouse with Royal officials and it needs to stop.

King Charles’ mother will be turning in her grave over this unbelievably stupid action.

The British Monarch exists as being ABOVE POLITICS. Otherwise we would have a Boring President/Dictator/Cabal/Whatever, like the rest of the World, whom few people would respect.

For me (a Brit) our Monarch should represent all those values we hold dear to; yet unwritten in our hearts as a rallying point of leadership.

It sadly seems that King Charles III intends to ignore this duty. Indeed NOT a good example for the rest of us.

But climate alarmism is above politics. It is not an especially live issue in British politics as all the main political parties stupidly believe there is a climate emergency. It’s akin to being in favour of world peace or the ending of world poverty.

That’s also the view taken by the BBC. It’s populated with people who want to be activists and politicians, not journalists. They regard the global warming game as apolitical, thus giving them a free hand to say what they want.
They wouldn’t dare say what they want about topics such as Israel/Palestine.

Some years ago the, now retired, news editor of the flagship program News Night gave a speech where he said “It is not the job of the BBC to save the planet”, but it was already too late.

There is no evidence that CO2 is causing the Earth’s climate to change despite what Kings and other ignorant people claim about the subject. They couldn’t cite one piece of evidence substantiating their wild claims about CO2 because there is no such substantiation.

Thank you Observa for your post from the Telegraph and thanks to Susan Crockford for her very good work:
Excess deaths in England and Wales are currently running higher than in the main pandemic years of 2020 and 2021, figures have shown.
Throughout October, there have been an average of 1,564 extra deaths per week, compared with a weekly average of just 315 in 2020 and 1,322 in 2021.

Dr Charles Levinson, of the private GP service DoctorCall, which has seen a rise in patients presenting with advanced conditions, said: “What is driving the excess death crisis? In my view, delays in diagnosis/treatment now and throughout the pandemic.”

My response:
Dr Levinson’s answer is missing the main cause, which is the greatly reduced natural immunity caused by the toxic Covid-19 injections. An estimate 20 million people have died to date from the toxic Cpoid-19 vaxxes, and a billion or more are vaccine-injured and it’s not over. The vaxxed are screwed.

The mortality data is here for anyone who wants to grind through it. I won’t now.

Analysis by Dr. Joseph Mercola November 04, 2022

  • Hospitals around the U.S. are suddenly struggling to keep up with surging rates of respiratory infections among children, such as respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), COVID, rhinoviruses and influenza
  • Moderna is working on an mRNA jab for RSV, which is scheduled for release in 2023. They’re also working on a combination mRNA jab for COVID, RSV and the flu
  • Censored scientists and doctors have long warned that the mRNA COVID jabs are destroying people’s immune systems, and that we’re going to see an avalanche of infections as immune system failure sets in
  • The COVID jab causes innate immune suppression, which makes you more susceptible to all kinds of infections and chronic diseases. Suppression of Type 1 interferon signaling appears to be one of the primary mechanisms by which the shot destroys immune competence, and repeated booster shots can reliably be anticipated to amplify adverse effects
  • The more shots you get, the more likely you are to die from COVID. While only 34% of Canadians have received three or four doses of the COVID jab, triple and quadruple jabbed made up 81% of all COVID deaths in June 2022. Excess mortality among young children, teens and young adults is also skyrocketing

I posted the above and the following in all major Canadian newspapers.
RE “Immunity Debt” – that is a secondary cause – the primary cause is that the toxic Covid-19 injections damage and destroy the immune systems of the vaxxed – leaving them vulnerable to all forms of bacteria, viruses and the new “turbo cancers”.
Take ivermectin etc to cure minor cases of vaccine injury; take quercetin, Vitamin D etc to rebuild your immunity.
The fraudsters who brought you the costly, harmful lockdowns and the toxic, deadly vaccines are now talking about amnesty – for themselves.
The death toll from the toxic vaccines is now ~20 million, and the vaccine-injured total over one billion worldwide. By the time this scam is over, the deaths from the toxic vaccines will exceed the deaths from World War 2.
We did not forgive then – we held trials at Nuremberg and executed them.
I’ve lost two good friends to the toxic vaxxes. NO amnesty.

Analysis by Dr. Joseph Mercola November 08, 2022

  • As the COVID lies are now being exposed at exponential speed, some of those proven wrong are getting nervous — so nervous, in fact, they’re now pleading for amnesty and to just let bygones be bygones
  • While some now argue ignorance as their defense, there was no lack of data proving their positions were wrong, dangerous, destructive and deadly, right from the start
  • Health and government officials weren’t just wrong once and then changed course. No, they’ve doubled, tripled and quadrupled down on errors, even in the face of overwhelming evidence that they’re wrong. Granting amnesty to individuals who have been wrong from Day 1, without a single apology, is an untenable proposition. The price society has paid for their errors is far too great for that
  • They were wrong about masks working and natural immunity not working, they were wrong about asymptomatic spread, lockdowns, and the safety and effectiveness of the COVID shots. They were also wrong about SARS-CoV-2 jumping naturally from bats to humans by way of a wet market in Wuhan, China, and they were wrong when they insisted that mandating an experimental gene therapy was within legal bounds. Demanding that officials be held accountable for these errors is not gloating. It’s reestablishing a baseline of conduct and accountability to the public
  • There can be no amnesty for COVID narrative pushers as people proven right are still being persecuted as “misinformation spreaders,” and illegal government censorship continues without abatement. In fact, the Department of Homeland Security now views censorship and controlling the information space as one of its core duties

Here are the true facts, contrary to their lies:
COVID jabs were never tested for, or proven to stop transmission
The jabs were not 95% effective but actually increased the risk of getting COVID
The fatality rate of COVID was around 0.005%
Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine worked
Masks don’t work
Lockdowns did more damage than good
This bioweapon came out of a lab, and
“Safe and effective” turned into “sudden and unexpected death”

I told you so 32 months ago.
20 million deaths worldwide from the toxic vaxxes, and it’s not over.

I look at the fine young faces in this video, all now departed, and think of the 20 million more killed by the Covid-19 toxic vaccines, and the millions more that will follow even if these vaccines are stopped right now.
I spotted the Covid-19 scam in Feb2020 and published my first warning on 21March2020 – one of the earliest such warnings anywhere.
Since then, I have spent 5000+ hours researching this subject and I advised out governments against deploying the toxic Covid-19 vaccines on 8January2021.
All of this had little impact on the Covid-19 juggernaut that has murdered millions and will murder millions more this winter and beyond.
I think it is time for me to pour a glass of Scotch, pause and reflect on my two great friends killed by the Covid-19 vaccines, and the millions more – beautiful faces gone forever.

Just a couple, amongst a great many, of rich hypocrites that want their cake and eat it. It astounds me how many people believe their propaganda,

November 2, 2022 6:27 am

They all want a return to a world with fewer people that live meager, circumscribed lives while the rich carry on their jet-setting ways.

They have no clue what it takes to support technology. It requires a workforce and a market. For instance, cell phones exist because there is a market for its vast infrastructure. So, no cell phones for the proletariat, also no cell phones for the 1%.

If we reduce the middle class to poverty, technology will crash. That will cause misery for everyone including the 1%. For sure, there will be no more jet-setting because there will be no jets.

Technology enables today’s middle class to live in a manner that the kings and emperors of yore could not even imagine. If we crash technology, the 1% will be reduced to living like the kings and emperors of yore. That means no birth control and a much enhanced chance of dying in childbirth.

Young mothers, older mothers, poor or rich mothers, all could die not only in childbirth but also due to complications afterwards. Sadly, more than one in three women died during their child-bearing years.

As far as I can tell, the crash of technology will lead to the death of women’s liberation. The women of the 1% should rise up against the green madness.

You are correct but I think the problem goes much deeper than the 1%.

Most people are quite unconnected to the things that really make the world go round. So when some ‘prophet’ turns up and tells them they don’t need fossil fuels or modern agriculture they will often go along with what the charlatans tell them to do.

Yes. Very much so.
And why might that be?
Is it a fault [not the only one, perhaps] of the educational system, taken over decades ago by those whose masters [all men, I bet you] wished ill on the West?
And not fully corrected by all but a few parents [some readers here, I am sure]?

How many British kids today realise that there was rationing in the UK into the 1950s [after WW2, sure, but milk doesn’t come from shops]?
Or the death tolls from Communism and its sibling Fascism?
I read an obituary last week of a Hungarian lady who resisted the 1956 Russian invasion, and was, later thrown into a cell with corpses of some of her comrades-in-resistance. That doesn’t get mentioned in schools.

The WWF jet set – burning oil so you don’t have to.
The COP outs – outputting more CO2 every year than you will in a lifetime.
Gross hypocrisy denies any legitimacy to tell others to do otherwise.

From what I understand in this posting, any U.S. president who might challenge the scientific credibility of the CAGW narrative would probably create quite a rift with our important ally the UK. Such a president would have to have the intestinal fortitude to tell the British what the British at this time do not seem to want to hear.

Thank you for your keen research and writing. Very helpful and informative.

Your book Fallen Icon … is excellent investigative journalism enabled by the knowledge and skills of a mammal scientist.

Initially, I wondered why the walrus deception would require an entire book, but while reading, I soon wanted to learn more and more as you unraveled the web of relationships and attempts to obfuscate.

Your work has significant power to inform many people because large mammals are interesting and perhaps relatable, and your work and writing is thorough but easily understood by many.

Thanks so much for that Bill. It means a lot.

And you know, I’m glad you got it: the power “to inform many people because large mammals are interesting and perhaps relatable” is what got us into this in the first place. Fair turn around then to use polar bear and walrus issues, explained in detail, to show how things are being manipulated. Hopefully, it will open a few more eyes.

The arrogance of any group seeking to change society to suit themselves is almost an example of inbreeding.

Attenborough has good photography but his style of narration is offensive.

A couple of peripheral observations. At a Conservative Party fringe meeting in Manchester, Tanya Steele (boss of the UK part of the WWF) spoke at length about air pollution. There being no questions, I had a word with her one to one afterwards. I showed her the HMG graph of air pollution over the preceding 50 years which indicated drops in pollution from 65% to 95% in all the major pollutants. She did not believe it, said she was talking about something else and refused to circulate an apology and correction to the 50+ people present. I have had no time for her and the WWF ever since.
Recently, the Guardian organized a masterclass featuring Prof Mark Maslin of UCL. He was credited as being the climate advisor to David Attenborough. I told Maslin that that explained a lot…

Sister website NOTALOTOFPEOPLEKNOWTHAT had a massive Complaint of 162 pages plus appendices dated April 2016 against the BBC , chapter 8 of which was entirely devoted to Attenboro’s errors in science spanning decades. More recently Brit TV prog ‘Climate Change – The Facts’ had him oh dear teamed up with the disgrace to the profession, Mikey Mann. BBC of course weakly trying to whitewash Climategate.again. Formal complaints ensued as every ‘fact’ was designed to frighten. Marvellous Blue Planet prog had to end with death of the GBR, flooded Miami streets, fizzing seashells in acid, three howlers with Attenboro gurning. Then the falling walruses scandal et sequi. Sad, really

The BBC does not like admitting errors. I have just had an official response to a complaint I had sent in. I did not recognize the official number and no mention was made of content. I looked it up and my complaint was made in June 2021! They did say they had been busy, but that is ridiculous.
Next step the Executive Complaints Unit but that’s probably too slow as well. Try reading David Sedgwick’s book “Is the True or Did you Hear it on the BBC?” Terribly sad that the BBC’s reputation for impartiality and accuracy is being destroyed day by day.

If Charles, who seems free to spout any nonsense he likes in support of CC/AGW, was a sceptic and wanted to let the public know his sceptic views I am sure the government would make sure he was prevented from doing so.

Despite his long career, travelling the Globe, pole to pole etc. Attenborough never mentions climate change in any of his early documentaries. He, like so many others have, just hopped on the trendy bandwagon that keeps him relevant and with purpose. His mission in his final years, to be a super hero world saviour.
