LIVE AT NOON CDT Today – Why the Uptick in Climate Protests and Stunts?

Participate in the chat on the YouTube stream LIVE at Noon CT today and every Friday to get your questions answered.

There’s been a sharp uptick in protests in the name of a climate change induced catastrophe across the globe. Fridays for Future, the group inspired by Greta Thunberg, recently held protests in 450 locations. Stories are flooding the news of protestors gluing themselves to private property and then expecting the businesses to cooperate with their demands. Why the sharp uptick in protests? Are these grassroot protests or is this a political scheme?

Andy Singer, Anthony Watts, Linnea Lueken, and JunkScience.com’s Steve Milloy discuss the global situation this week on Climate Change Roundtable.

When do we have to pay for security checkpoints and screenings to view classic works of art?

Get the TSA out of the U.S. airports and put them in the museums. Wands, full body scans, pat downs, The whole nine yards.

(That was a small joke when I wrote it, but now I’m not so sure. Hmm…)

Have to say I hadn’t noticed any unusually strong uptick. Sure, there are normally periods of activity followed by a lull as the last ‘campaign’ runs out of steam as the MSM finds another headline or the protesters run out of glue because they’ve sniffed it all.

But that’s the way of things. They routinely cycle through Climate, Russia, Climate, Inflation, Climate, Putin, Climate, Recession, Climate, Energy Prices, Climate, Trump, Climate, etcetera

People glueing themselves to things outside should tail off in the Northern Hemisphere starting next month. Especially if they are left out in rain, sleet, snow and frost. In the UK A&E might mean a wait of more than last winter’s record to deal with the hypothermia, with luck someone might glue them to the trolley.

Makes no sense that people can be changed by making an annoying nuisance of yourself while destroying things people love. And for what, to eliminate energy people need to survive and prosper. Only a masochist would enjoy such torment.

They are convinced that the only reason why most people aren’t out in the street supporting them is because they simply don’t know about the problem.
They view it as their job to wake everyone up and get them to realize we are all going to die if we don’t do something, NOW.

They are wasting their time. The World ended in 1985.

Isn’t it a little late for them to be protesting now? Someone should clue them in.

Here’s a simple suggestion that might quickly reduce the frequency of such infantile protests: When people glue themselves to things, leave them there.

Add to the attachment with some spikes …. nice recycled steel spikes.

If they glue themselves down outdoors, just sprinkle them with some sugar water. Ants need to eat, too. 😉

I carry 12 stink bombs in my glove compartment, of my car.

Aileen Getty, the Rockefeller family and many others are donating large sums of money to the Climate Emergency Fund to “provide a safe and legal means for donors to support disruptive protests that wakes up the public and puts intense pressure on lawmakers.” I don’t know how much scrutiny is done of these protest groups before they are handed big handfuls of cash to support the protests but, as with the climate ‘scientists’ receiving government funding, many probably see it as earning a living as ‘professional protestors’. Remove the funding source and 99% of these protestors will disappear overnight.

Sad thing is it’s probably tax deductible.

There’s an election coming up in the country whose government is the largest donor to international climate scams, and their party may lose power in both the House and Senate.

I thought it was the Russian government that was donating to activist disruption? Certainly wealthy US oligarch’s are contributing to the problem.

Russian oligarchs, US oligarchs, what’s the difference?

They’re getting desperate because people are more interested in maintaining their lifestyles than chasing a theory no one can prove, probably doing more good than harm, and constantly makes projections that turn out false.

Solzhenitsyn- “Violence can only be concealed by a lie, & the lie
can only be maintained by violence.

Aggression & lying have always been tools of dictators. Since they
currently are having less success with an energy crisis & a cold
winter looming & won’t be as able to win through deceptive politics,
lawsuits, misinformation & censorship, their plan includes resorting
to disrupting society via PLANNED protests & thuggery. Many of their
supporters enjoy bullying & destroying things & there are also
those who are willing to be martyrs for the cause of rescuing our
world. It’s just a case of using ALL of your available resources to win!

There is an uptick because museum staff are aiding & abetting. How else does one get into a museum with a bucket of mashed potatoes?

An aside, don’t leave your guest Linnea for 9 minutes without bringing her into the discussion.
Our loquacious moderator seemed to have most of the time. Linnea is an interesting and engaging person and is a great asset in any conversation.

The video clip of Andrew Dessler you played is just another appeal to the precautionary principle. But that principle works both ways. Foe example, what if we squander $3 trillion and only reduce fossil fuel use by 1%.
