World Economic Forum: “Society hasn’t Listened. People Want Action” on Climate Change

Essay by Eric Worrall

Who are these people who are not part of society?

How organizations can harness employee power for climate goals

Oct 7, 2022
Holly Teal
Senior Director, Client Management, WTW

  • Previous social movements in the United States have shown that employees can significantly impact and drive change.
  • Employees can also drive progress towards climate goals by insisting on a clear strategy for climate change from their employers.
  • Employers can provide ways for employees to engage in reducing carbon emissions and other environmental work to help stave off climate change.

Businesses can harness the power of their employees to solve the enormous challenges they face from climate change. Not only is it the right thing to do, but it’s also just good business. In a competitive talent market, we know that many employees seek organizations with a purpose beyond improving the bottom line. In light of the pandemic and social justice movement, people are taking stock of what’s important to them.

The reality is that the world is nowhere near achieving the United Nations’ target of limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius or less. Scientists have been sending warnings about the challenge for decades, but society hasn’t listened.

People want action from their governments and companies. So, it’s up to employers to inspire action inside the workforce and communities, as many employers did during the Black Lives Matter movement.

The World Economic Forum has some interesting ideas about society and the future, like their famous Great Reset, in which “you’ll own nothing and be happy“. So I’d love to read or hear their explanation of why they appear to believe society doesn’t include ordinary people, like employees of companies.

That sounds a lot like the discussion of a green politician in Switzerland:
“Everybody wants to have bio-food”. When you go to the supermarket, the often poor quality bio-vegetables and bio-fruits are available in a small corner, and practically no one buys them. These people are really fantastic (/sarc). They’re capable of reading minds and know de facto what “everybody” wants…

On the positive side, he’s probably saved a lot of money and is in good physical health as well. Depending on circumstances, Uber can be a reliable alternative when it is needed.

Personally, I like to have the freedom that accompanies vehicle ownership. It is a freedom that the WEF crowd frowns upon.

If you’re single and your life consists of traveling to and from work for a short distance in an urban area, then fine. You don’t need a vehicle. If that is not your life then the WEF can shove it. There are way too many guns in the US for them to push their BS here. And their attempts to sidestep the 2nd Amendment will not work.

A lot of activists, even “bicycle activists”, believe other people should ride their bicycles to work as a public service but have little interest themselves in doing so. They always have an excuse….

I say this as a life-long non-competitive enthusiast who really did ride my bike to work all year round in wintry Ontario because I enjoyed it. And yes it saved money and kept me young, even though we still had two cars. But I readily accept that this is not practical or desirable for most workers. Keeping a bicycle operating reliably in bad weather so it will always be mission-available in the morning is more demanding of time and attention than a motor vehicle requires. And you can’t carry much more than your lunch and your phone.

Thinking back on my bike crashes, all involved poor surface conditions and about 2/3 involved ice/snow. There are several reasons not to bike when it’s close to or below freezing.

Knock on wood, I haven’t crashed in over a year. Got a new bike with bigger wheels and I’ve slowed down, particularly around curves.

Before WWII the industry’s workers used bikes to go to work whichever was the distance and the weather conditions. Their dearest hope was to purchase a car and spare their time and their health to enjoy more leisure periods, an aim they could reach by the early fifties.
Now the greenies are requiring them back riding their bikes.

Society has listened to what the WEF and the paid Media have been saying. Society has said thanks for the ideas but we won’t be doing any of that thank you.
Society has been telling its political class to stop listening to hypocrites like the WEF and various foundations paid to advance deindustrialisation.
It is the political class who are not listening. If they had been getting the message then we would not have the Biden nonsense to contend with of the unelected UN leaders that are only too happy to go visit a South Pacific Island or two, all fully expensed you understand, to see for themselves how damaging the Climate Change is. So far they have not found any evidence but they are determined to keep looking and will return year after year on their spot the changes mission.
The expansion of hotels and airport facilities to accommodate the interested visitors to such paradise locations is tantamount to the immediate existential risk these places are expecting…..

UN official at WEF: ‘We own the science & we think that the world should know it’ so ‘we partnered with Google’ to ensure only UN climate results appear – Watts Up With That?

An inside look at the WEF’s plans for our countries – not just Canada and the USA: All! The two big Control scams are Climate and Covid, and neither ever made any sense.
The Climate-and-Green-Energy scam was a blatant fraud from the start ~50 years ago… We told you so 20 years ago.
In reality, the Covid-19 “Emergency” was not a real emergency – it was a deliberate international scam and the quality data supports this conclusion. This totalitarian scam was already in progress with Climate as the primary driver, and then along came Covid-19, a relatively mild flu that only killed the very elderly and infirm, and Covid was enlisted as a second front for the wolves to stampede the sheep.

Covid-19, a relatively mild flu

I finally got Covid this past September 2nd. Several days of coughing up stuff and still a lingering cough. However it caused some other health issues to become apparent and I got to see the inside of a hospital room for three days. Took about a month to finally test negative Four other family members have also come down with it, and a description of mild flu would be appropriate.

By the way, food tastes bland now. Probably a permanent result.

For an adult take 12 mg/day of Ivermectin in a single daily dose for 10 days – should clear up Covid-19 and also “long Covid” after-effects – if not, take IVM for another 5-10 days. This is a very low dose that seems to work – some physicians recommend much more mg per day.

People want action from their companies and governments.

The dooming propaganda has worked so naturally that’s what they want now. Biz and Gummint to get on with all the cheap energy from Gaia at no cost to them. The problem arises when the doomsters can’t deliver and all they get is resultant monetary inflation unaffordable power bills and electric cars plus greenouts. Fat chance of coming out and being honest that they really had to dig deep so the big lie and the inflationary money printing continues.

People want action from their governments and companies. So, it’s up to employers to inspire action inside the workforce and communities”

A belief/claim in diametric opposition to every rational survey/poll, where people are questioned about using their own money to combat whatever the current climate propaganda claims fed to complicit news services.

People want their governments to cease their fabricated delusions, back off and stop wasting taxpayer funds while explicitly mandating EV and renewable energy use.
To let market forces bring solutions when industry overcomes EV/renewable energy’s abundant technology deficits/weaknesses.

  • e.g., renewable energy’s complete lack of consistency, constancy, quality and reliability.

Yes. People “want action” on “climate change”, but don’t know how to go about it (despite decades-long and ever-increasing haranguing), so need employers to “inspire” them, and presumably “show them how”. Like, for example, turning off lights when not using them, and recycling. Like those childishly naieve feel-good virtue-signaling actions haven’t been kicked around forever. Give me a break.

October 8, 2022 8:36 am

Liberal MP Nathaniel Erskine-Smith wants an independent audit of the federal government’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Erskine-Smith told the National Post that the government needs more “accountability and transparency” when it comes to how it responds to emergency situations.
“We need a greater level of accountability and transparency. And so in this case, we need the Health Minister ideally to identify the key drivers of pandemic risks, describe how Canadian activities contribute to that risk, and then put in place measures to mitigate that risk,” said Erskine-Smith.
This is highly unusual – A Canadian member of the Liberal party breaking ranks with L’il Fidel Trudeau. How unusual is this? The average Liberal MP would rather “kill babies with lethal injections” than run the risk of being kicked out of the patronage trough. Oh, sorry – I was trying to use hyperbole, but the Libs are already killing babies with lethal Covid-19 injections – I need a better over-the-top analogy.

Canadian politics is all about party loyalty and solidarity – Erskine-Smith will be tossed out before the next election for breaking party ranks, unless there is a palace revolt against traitor Trudeau and his blind loyalty to Klaus Schwab and the WEF. But most Liberal MP’s and many other MP’s are traitors to the Canadian people – their fealty to their corrupt, imbecilic Prime Minister is their first priority.

I think we are seeing the same treason by the peoples’ representatives in the USA, Britain, France, Germany, New Zealand, Australia, etc. Pigs at the trough.

I already knew this – so-called “Safe and Effective” Covid-19 vaccines…
The vaxxed are screwed. We tried to warn you…

By Julian Conradson
Published October 8, 2022 at 8:00am
Dr. James Thorp – a board-certified OBGYN and Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician with over 43 years of clinical experience – joined Dr. Kelly Victory and Dr. Drew earlier this week to discuss recent studies on mRNA Covid vaccines and the adverse effects they have had on pregnant women since they were introduced.
In the past two years (since the mRNA vaccine was introduced), Dr. Thorp explained that he has seen an “off-the-charts” rise in sudden fetal death and adverse pregnancy outcomes, such as fetal malformation and even fetal cardiac arrest, among his patients.

In his expert opinion, the culprit for the unprecedented spike in tragic outcomes can be nothing other than the experimental Covid-19 vaccine. To back up his claims, he cites several recent studies that compared miscarriage rates to other vaccines, such as the flu vaccine, and recent studies that have shown the mRNA spike protein from the Covid jab can be passed from mother to child, both in utero and through breastmilk.
However, to make matters even worse, Dr. Thorp warned of an extremely troubling outcome for the babies who are being born – many of them have VAIDS, or vaccine-acquired immunodeficiency syndrome.

The toxicity of the Covid-19 “vaccines” could be deemed “anecdotal” in early 2021 – but now there is ample scientific evidence that these injections are enormously harmful in the short, medium and long term.
I warned our governments and media against releasing these toxic injections on 8Jan2021. I only publish when I am certain. I don’t guess, and to date our predictions on Climate and Covid are among the earliest and most accurate anywhere.
I called the Covid-19 lockdown scam 30 months ago on 21Mar2020, and my co-authors and I called the Climate and Green Energy scam 20 years ago in 2002.
Bottom Line:
Typically ~~80% of the populations of the Western “democracies” are vaxxed, and they are screwed. Many will not survive or will live with debilitating vaccine injuries.

Maybe I’m being a bit harsh in this case, but… [insert strong epithet here]

New research paper concludes that dangers to cardiac health outweigh benefit. “Heart cells cannot be replaced,” Dr. Malhotra stresses.
Y Rabinovitz Sep 29, 2022
A new research paper authored by a prominent UK cardiologist and evidence-based medicine expert has concluded that use of mRNA COVID vaccines should be halted until independent investigators are given access to the raw data from the clinical trials.
Dr. Aseem Malhotra was originally a staunch defender of COVID vaccines, but after his father, who was previously healthy with no heart issues, passed away due to a sudden cardiac arrest, he began to investigate the evidence that the vaccines are safe and effective, as the FDA and CDC claim. Being a cardiologist who had seen his father’s diagnostic test results prior to his COVID shots, tests that confirmed his good state of health, he knew that there was no rational explanation for the blockages found in his father’s arteries after his death.
Among the evidence cited by Malhotra is a study published in the journal Vaccine, which concluded, based on data from the trial studies conducted by Pfizer and Moderna, that the risk of being hospitalized due to an adverse reaction to the vaccine is greater than any protection the vaccine provides from hospitalization due to COVID.

More of the same – too little, too late. The Covid-19 fraud is so obvious. How can “educated” people be so slow?
He should ban ALL Covid-19 “vaccines” for ALL ages.
It is overwhelmingly obvious that these toxic Covid-19 injections do not work and cause enormous harm – millions of Covid-19 vaccine-caused deaths and injuries.
THIS article is also helpful but still avoids the big question – why limit the vaccine ban to young adults?

Dave and Elliot:

I think you are correct. I have predicted (in 2002, 2013, and 2022) that Excess Winter Deaths will soar in Western Europe this winter, especially among the elderly and the poor. The real causes will be energy shortages/high prices due to the green energy scam and over-reliance on Russian natural gas, and toxicity and reduction in natural immunity caused by the Covid-19 injections.

Governments, health authorities and leftists, who have caused all these deaths, will try to blame big oil, not enough wind power, and the relatively mild Covid-19 virus which, if properly managed, would have hardly killed anybody. The bought mainstream media will broadcast these lies and a surprising number of sheep will believe them and line up for their 4th toxic injection.

This is a better link to the above Dr Roger Hodgkinson video.
20 million dead from the Covid-19 jab worldwide and 2 billion adverse reactions and it’s not over.
I tried to save all of you but you would not listen.
I told you so 30 months ago. See my
The toxic Covid-19 jabs cause death by heart attacks and strokes, especially in young male athletes in intense sports like soccer (football) and long-distance bicycle racing.
Many more Covid-19 vaccine deaths are caused because the Covid-19 vaccines destroy your natural immunity, leaving you open to all illnesses – bacterial, viral and especially cancers, which are now exploding, even among young people.
The Covid-19 death toll is now approaching half of all those killed in WW2, and the mainstream press is still trying to ignore it. I’ll project that the final toll from these toxic jabs will exceed all the deaths of WW2, and the vaccine injuries will number in the billions.
Skill-testing question: Do you think it’s time for our political masters to pull these toxic Covid-19 vaccines off the market? Apologies – satire seems inappropriate in this situation.

NEWS: 80 young Canadian doctors “died suddenly” in past 2 years while fully COVID-19 vaccinated (Part 1)!
Here is the update to my previous post on 32 young Canadian doctor “sudden deaths” that went viral. Sadly, we are now at 80 deaths. I want to thank Michael who compiled a huge database of 1638 Canadian doctor deaths spanning 2019-2022, Sonja and others who contributed. Our analysis shows Canadian doctor deaths under age 50 in 2022 will be 2-fold higher compared to 2019-2020. Shockingly, doctor deaths under age 40 are 5-fold higher, and doctor deaths under age 30 are 8-fold higher! COVID-19 Vaccine mandates are killing Canada’s young doctors in record numbers. Please share!

This means the COVID passport was based on a big lie.
From Rob Roos, Member, European Parliament, Oct 12, 2022
I told you so 30 months ago.
Lawmaker: ‘Get vaccinated for others was always a lie’
By Art Moore Published October 11, 2022
Undermining the premise for mandates and “passports,” a Pfizer executive admitted to the European Parliament on Monday that her company’s vaccine was never tested during clinical trials for the ability to prevent transmission of COVID-19.
Janine Small, Pfizer’s president of international developed markets, was asked by Dutch MEP Rob Roos if the pharmaceutical giant had tested the vaccine “on stopping the transmission of the virus before it entered the market.”
“No … you know, we had to really move at the speed of science to really understand what is happening in the market,” she confessed.
Roos later posted a video on Twitter of Small’s response and added his own comment.
“This is scandalous!” he said. “Millions of people worldwide felt forced to get vaccinated because of the myth that you do it for others.”
That claim, he said, has “turned out to be a cheap lie.”
He pointed out in a tweet that the purpose of the COVID passport required by many countries was to force people to get vaccinated.
Will anyone promoting the COVID shots ever do prison time?
“The world needs to know,” he wrote.
In July, Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House coronavirus response coordinator at the time the vaccines were developed and rolled, said she wasn’t surprised that people who were quadruple vaccinated, including President Biden and Dr. Anthony Fauci, contracted COVID-19.
“I knew these vaccines were not going to protect against infection and I think we overplayed the vaccines,” Birx told the Fox News Channel’s Neil Cavuto.
Last week, Florida’s Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladopo recommended men aged 18-39 not get the COVID vaccinate after publishing a study showing an 84% increase in the risk of cardiac death in the 28 days following the shots.
On Tuesday night, the Dutch lawmaker, Roos, summed up the “massive implications” of the Pfizer executive’s admission in an interview with “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
“Governments pushed millions of people worldwide to get vaccinated by telling them to do it for your grandmother,” he said.
“They tricked perfectly healthy young people into taking this jab using false arguments,” Roos continued.
“And they used big words like antisocial to sow immense hatred against people who refused to comply with the government’s wishes. And even worse, many governments, including mine, introduced so-called COVID passports.”
Governments, he noted, like to talk about “institutional discrimination,” but this was real institutional discrimination, he said.
“Many lost their job, their livelihood, because they stood by their principles,” said Roos.
Austria, the European Parliament member recalled, even had a lockdown of the unvaccinated.
All of this was based on the premise that vaccination helped stop the spread of the virus.
“But this has now proven to be a big lie.”
See the interview:
President Biden, CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky, White House coronavirus adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci and many other public figures promised early in 2021 that anybody who got the vaccine would not be infected with COVID-19 and would not transmit the virus to others.

Thank you for posting the above Charles – I think the Covid-19 Lockdown and Vaccine fraud has been sufficiently exposed:
20 million vaccine-caused deaths worldwide and 2 billion injuries.
It’s not over yet but it’s too late to remedy – the damage is done.
I will reduce the number and length of my posts.

Hmm! Given their plans for the total destruction of the standard of living for the sub elites, I doubt if 2 snipers will be anywhere near adequate.

… but society hasn’t listened

This displays an all too common “If you listen to, or read about, an opinion then the only possible conclusion is that you 100% support [ the most extreme variant of ] that opinion” mentality.

It is possible for people (/ society) to listen to you, think about it for a while, and eventually respond with “An interesting idea … but it’s complete b*ll*cks, obviously …”, or even just “No !”

Why would snipers be necessary on a hotel building rooftop hosting a private organization’s meetings? I’ve been to many annual meetings at hotels for other organizations and have never seen snipers taking positions.

Has anybody at the WEF checked with employees at Chinese, Indian and other developing countries’ employers about their desires to tackle climate change and participate in the social justice movement? Supernumeraries like Holly think string together a bunch of woke buzzwords constitutes a serious study with realistic recommendations.

The only significant numbers of climate and social activist employees I’m aware of are in woke Silicon Valley High-Tech and social media firms. It appears that when they stray too far off the reservation, though, the billionaire owners whack their dicks hard. Didn’t Elon Musk tell the Twitter twits that if they didn’t like his policies they could leave?

Which people are they talking about when national and UN polls show that on the priority scale climate action is well-down the list behind jobs, the economy, inflation, education, healthcare, national security, personal safety, etc. The people who want climate action are only those who stand to profit from government subsidies and new regulations that help them make a fast buck regardless of whether any of them helps solve the so-called climate crisis. If so many citizens in various countries want action, why is it that in national and regional elections political parties with the most ambitious (and costly) environmental plans finish well behind in the voting preferences?

I agree with you that climate action is well down the list on most working peoples list.
Trying to go carbon neutral is certainly not their immediate focus.
If there really was a climate crisis caused by combusting fossil fuel these unelected fools would be advocating nuclear power plants to produce the energy needed for modern civilization.
They do not and this proves that they are not only fools but that they have another agenda which is world wide communism .
That is the why they are using climate fear to advance their ideology.
Communism did not work when it was tried in Russia and other eastern block countries and no population of any country would vote for it now.
These dimwits have not thought very far ahead as 8 billion people have the right to food and shelter .
Nitrogen fertilizer manufactured with natural gas is essential to grow the food to feed 4 billion people which is half the worlds population .
Unless this nitrogen fertilizer is available at a reasonable cost food production will fall dramatically around the world .
There is a drastic shortage of nitrogen fertilizer at this time and if more manufacturing plants are not built or those plants that are producing do not increase production there will be a extreme food shortage in the very near future.

October 8, 2022 4:21 pm

Yeah. No. People don’t want action on climate change.

I think climate research is important. Just don’t believe the myth of the CO2 control knob on the global thermostat. What I want from climate research is to tell us why the series of glaciations over the last 2.5 millions years occurred and when the next one is coming. Because, coming it is.

October 9, 2022 2:50 am

If the Davos billionaires really care about climate change, well they should put their money up to pay for it all, seeing that the billionaires, alarmists keep on telling us that renewables is a good investment. Or the world could wake up and tax the Davos billionaires 80% of all their wealth. Infact every millionaire and billionaire should have 80% tax. Pay for it yourself you fat rich c….

This is a lie.
Provide us the polls that say so !

“You will own nothing and you will be happy”… (Klaus Schwab)
Probably Schwab doesn’t know that his slogan is a bit outdated since it was already used and overused all along the last century by the marxists. In every country they could reach the power through revolution, fraud and lies, people were stripped of their possessions and they ended up very unhappy in misery.

October 9, 2022 11:29 am

People want action from their governments and companies.

No they don’t. They just made that up.

Now, some people want action on Climate Change™ but poll after poll says most people just don’t give a hang.
