From Not A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT
By Paul Homewood
It seems that Sadiq Khan has been sending this extremely irresponsible and misleading warning out to his citizens – (my bold):

There is no evidence whatsoever that the heatwave is a “consequence” of climate change. It is a weather event, one which is the direct result of an extremely rare set of meteorological conditions.
The clue to this lies in the weather models run a few days ago, which showed an extremely unlikely chance of temperatures reaching 40C. Weather models are run over and over again thousands of times, in order to provide a range of outcomes varying around very small changes to assumptions. In other words, the meteorological set up we are now likely facing was considered as an extreme outlier just a few days ago.
Even accepting that average summer temperatures in the UK have increased by a half a degree or so since the 1940s, the upcoming heatwave would still have occurred a century ago, albeit with temperatures a half a degree lower. In those days, of course, Londoners were much less prepared to deal with hot weather.
To label it as “potentially dangerous” is also irresponsible scaremongering, given that millions of Brits fly out to Spain and other countries, where temperatures are regularly much higher.
Of course, people need to take sensible precautions, but they don’t need the Mayor lecturing them.
While Khan is playing political games with climate change, I would ask whether he ever puts out red warnings every winter when it gets cold. Surely he knows that many more people die in the cold of winter?
And that death tolls in summer are always the lowest of any season, heatwaves or not.
Surely he would welcome a slightly warmer climate?

FOOTNOTE
The Met Office has issued its first ever Red Warning, which spans most of central England:

Forecasts for towns such as Manchester and Leeds, which are encompassed by the warning indicate temperatures might reach about 36C.
Yet temperatures of 36C are certainly not unprecedented in the South East, but were never accompanied by Red Warnings?
Are the Met Office playing politics too?
Two or three hot days in a row are now all the proof that is needed to proclaim whatever emergency action is desired, lockdown.
If the excessively hot spell happens about the same time every year for the next 30 years, it will become “climate”….
That’s the thing.
And if it happens everywhere, it will become global. Otherwise it’s not.
All the government needs to do is to appoint a Minister for Extreme Heat then this heat wave will surely end. It worked back in 1976 when we had that lovely long hot summer which caused a drought, as soon as the government appointed a Minister for Drought then hey presto it rained.
The temp is predicted to drop more than ten degrees tomorrow. Sadiq and his little minions have nothing to whinge about.
Will the Shetland Islands also be burning in this “unprecedented” Red Warning?
In North Wales it’s 25 degrees with a very pleasant south westerly zephyr. The weather forecasts should be saying “get out and enjoy it while you can, it won’t last long”.
Here in the South West its been mostly sunny and around 23C for the last 3 days. . Supposed to be 31C here tomorrow. They didn’t forecast the shower we just had so lets see if they can get the temperature right on Monday
In a word, no.
This odious creature was my MP – not a patch on his predecessor, Tom Cox
He was a new Labour government whip, he forced Labour MPs to vote for Post Office closures. After the vote he jumped in a car and raced back to Tooting to join a protest against… Post Office closures.
He was sussed – saved by the Sunni vote – and now he’s Mayor of London….
EVIL, GREEDY LITTLE MAN – the sooner he leaves office the better, although I bet he will be coining in the money after his stint as mayor.
This is a man who bangs on about climate change, but is happy to have a fleet of 4x4s escort him around and jet off to foreign climes to lecture others. An odious, despicable little man that has achieved nothing. I don’t understand why anyone would vote for him.
Well – because he is not a white male mak ly

Monthly CET since 1850 data here.

Notice that there are heating and cooling trends in there. The strangest one is October, which started warming from roughly the start of the 20th C, before CO2 effects. There’s a link in there to an earlier post that links weather teleconnections, AMO, and CO2 to the monthly datasets. Weather dominates, and in the background a CO2 effect, est to be 1.6C per CO2 doubling.

Well surprise, surprise.
“But, but, whattabout the little Ice age and, and those poley bears and, and Michael Mann and all them greenies?
Meanwhile it has been COOLING since 2015……
I normally experience 35C (95F) 30 days every summer which often reach summer high of 41C (106F) with an average of 15 days of at least 38C (100F) a summer yet it is no big deal in my area.
Polar Bears are thriving.
Dr. Mann is a Two-time loser of lawsuits HE started and, on his way, to losing a third lawsuit HE created because he is dragging his feet on it.
The LIA ended somewhere in the mid 1800’s.
From the UK baseline warmer weather would be a blessing … not seeing the bad yet. Apparently those last couple of degrees are just too much for life.
Strong objection, Loydo.
The graphs you show are cartoon depictions of what someone imagines should happen.
The actual, past measured data absolutely destroy this picture.
There has been so increase in the hotness of heatwave average top temperatures that I have studied using BOM data. I have included 6 of the weather station sites with longest sources of T data, some going back to 1860s.

Here is a short version showing 6 graphs of hottest 5-day heatwaves each year for Adelaide, Brisbane, Hobart, Melbourne.
Perth, Sydney.
If heatwaves were getting hotter, these graphs would have upward trends. They do not. Sydney is closest to upward, but not statistically significant. Possibly too small for the skin to feel, also.
These graphs are quite sensitive to choice of start and end points. The effect being sought is a systematic set of hotter heatwaves as global warming has happened. There is simply no evidence in these graphs. If the effect was indeed present (and remember, UHI is probably helping trends upwards) it is a pathetically small effect on which to base a learned paper.
At least some heatwaves are not getting hotter with time. As Ric W often notes on WUWT, the ocean temperature is capped at about 31 deg C by cooling feedbacks. It is not impossible that land temperatures are also capped by mechanisms yet to be published.
The BIG POINT is that researchers should not show cartoons of what they imagine is happening, when the numbers show there is no evidence of the imagination being present.

You might wish to recognize that the average temperatures are going up because the nighttime temperatures are rising. Has little to do with the temperature during the hottest time of the day.
I’ll tell you about the little ice age. According to you it started warming naturally after the little ice age, then suddenly in the 1950s nature switched itself off and handed over to our see-oh-toos.
Do you really want to stand by this silliness?
What’s this secret squirrel data? I’ve observed that when it’s sunnier it’s warmer. Here in Perth WA, it’s not sunny and it’s bloody chilly, relatively of course. Looking forward to a couple of weeks up north on the Ningaloo reef, just got to do it
Yes, but Perth is a Ghost Metropolis(tm), so that doesn’t count. 🙂
The saddest thing is that poor little griff, actually believes he has proven something.
Please learn the difference between weather and climate.
Please learn about standard distributions.
Please learn about UHI.
PS: I’m too lazy to look them up, but I could swear that little griff spent most of this past winter proclaiming that every cold record was just weather and proved nothing about climate.
I’m interested in which trolls are hanging in there, no matter what and which ones are falling silent or gradually changing sides. I thought when the EU suddenly declared methane and nuclear to be green energy (in desperation to save themselves from torches and pitchforks in the street because of fallout from idiot policy), many trolls would understand that they had been lied to. But no, they simply embraced the shift. The blindly loyal types are like frogs heated up gradually in a pot.
“The blindly loyal types are like frogs heated up gradually in a pot.”
My irony meter just exploded.
If your irony meter exploded from just that then you have it calibrated wrong. Might I suggest, for the replacement, you get someone who knows what they’re doing to sort it for you? Irony can be a dangerous thing for the ill-prepared.
Griff,
Your statements are just so profound!!!!!
Right up there with Joe Biden!!!!.
Joe Biden is a hopeless, dead loss.
But, i think he’s about ten times smarter than you will ever be.
Smartest man Joe knows.
Griffy isn’t allowed to think or have any reasoning skills, he’s only allowed to has feelz!
” 2020 was the third warmest year for the UK in a series from 1884………All the top warmest years for the UK in the series from 1884 have occurred since 2002 ” ………………………………… And that says it all …..The Stevenson screen was only introduced a few decades earlier than 1884 and we are told reliable thermometer readings only extend to the 1840’s Yet the memorable Georgian July 1808 heatwave temperatures in England that we can deduce from diary records and thermometers placed in shaded spots were probably as hot as the temperatures of 2003 – possibly hotter There are reports of farm laborers and farm animals dropping dead from heat exhaustion and birds dying en masse .These are Australasian conditions …Reality [ aside from your Orwellian bizarro world ] did not begin in 1884 or indeed 1659 …….How hot were the summer temperatures and annual mean averages during the 1538 -42 Tudor Droughts that ravaged Britain and continental Europe ? …..We know from proxy records in lieu of thermometers such as chronicles, the Greenland temperature reconstructions and vineyards cultivated at higher elevations in Europe than today [ vinegrapes could only be successfully cultivated centuries ago in the absence of harsh night frosts ] that temperatures during the Medieval Warm Period were almost certainly higher .than this century’s ..The Roman Optimum was even warmer …Regardless the sweltering 1911 heatwaves affecting the United States , Britain and France resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands……On August 9 , 1911 , the temperature registered at 100 degrees F in London which is barely discernable from the all time United Kingdom temperature record this century …..One can see why ‘griff’ [ alternately Todd Huffman ] has not listed the consecutive day heatwave records in the United Kingdom because he probably knows none since 2003 , 1976 , 1911 and 1808 have been exceeded in the British Isles over the last 18 -19 years
All of which you would expect from the bounce back from the LIA
Wake me up when it’s hotter than the MWP or the HCO
Are the data provided raw data, or adjusted, corrected, homogenized data?
Since you’d never brag about how well solar & wind are producing energy, let me do some
bragging for you. Yesterday, they were 18% nameplate capacity & today they’ll probably
do 22%±. So, 80%± of what they could’ve produced they didn’t. After checking with The Met,
that will improve to 78%± for Monday & Tuesday. It seems like both of them are on holiday
during the hottest days when you need them the most. It may be time to pick better pals,
like reliable 24/7 solar, which is bailing you out now.
Griffter believes UK temps lead the world – not true. Griffter will not live long enough to ice skate on the Thames…coming again….but could move to Iceland in the meantime.
Proof of change is not proof of cause.
and how does that square with the Wunderground stations?
This little flock covering almost all sorts of locations and outputting data in Real Time.
e.g. The monthly average is available at 5 minutes past midnight of the last day of the month
Like annual data, available at 5 minutes past midnight on January 1st
So why has the Met Office not sorted out last year’s data yet, 6 and a half months after the event?
Not cooking the books or adjusting anything are they?
For my long-lived Wunderground stations over the last 20 years, the year 2020 was for each location: Temperature ranking…
Cumbria (rural)………………..8th
Manchester (city)…………….10th
Suffolk (Bury St E.)……………5th
Somerset (Taunton)………….7th
Derby (Newhall)………………6th
Lancashire (seaside)…………14th
Bedford (riverside city)……. 13rd
There seems to be an England-wide increase in annual rainfall, increasing at about 10mm per year.
Sunshine is all ‘over the place’ (haha) but how would extra rain also happen if, as claimed, there is more sunshine?
That it takes Met Office over 6 months to come up with what Wunderground produce, from the thousands of stations they have, in just 5 minutes – shall we say, stinks to high heaven.
I had to laugh this morning
By accident than design I caught a glimpse of a BBC (female) weather forecaster in action on TV
We were being warned about, because of tomorrow’s upcoming weather:
we were told to expect ” Lifestyle Disruption‘
seriously
One, possibly two, days of temps above 35°C were going to disrupt lifestyle?
What Is Wrong With Those People, they’ve completely lost it.
Those People are extremely sensitive to any change from NORMAL.
Where’s the proven link between these and CO2?
We’re on a gradual recovery from the LIA in a two steps forward one step back mode. As we’re now in the second step after the cooling until the 1970s why wouldn’t you expect temperatures to be higher now than the 1930s the last time we were in the second of two steps forward?
So how do you account for the steps backwards aka cooling?
That’s the 10th most ludicrous thing you’ve posted this weekend
Griff
According to CET England has been warming in fits and starts for 300 years, not just for the last 20 years which doesn’t even fit the criteria for ‘climate.’. During the Holocene it has been warmer and colder than today. Wetter and drier than today. Windier and calmer than today and sea levels have been higher and lower. You must know all that unless you don’t read any of the hundreds of books about the British climate which encompass hundreds of thousands of records
tonyb
“According to CET England has been warming in fits and starts for 300 years,”
Fits and starts is putting it mildly. There was a sharp warming trend for the first few decades, starting with the very cold 1690s and ending around the mid 18th century. But after that, temperatures fell back slightly and remained more or less flat until the 20th century. Most of the warming seen over the last 300 or even 360 years has occurred since 1950.
The trend for the first 200 of the last 300 years was slightly negative – a 200 year pause.
From your graph you can see the latest warming at the started at the end of the 19th Century when we weren’t producing enough see-oh-toos to allegedly make a difference. Our see-oh-toos were only supposed to kick in after the 1950s.
So, tell me Bellman: when did nature decide to turn off its natural warming and hand it all over to see-oh-too?
Can’t you see how ridiculous the CAGW hysteria is?
“warming…. started at the end of”
It appears I can’t string a sentence together, but I think you get my drift.
That’s what I was saying when I said it was more or less flat until the 20th century. It’s difficult to attach exact dates to changes in CET as there is so much variation year to year.
I’m not saying what caused any changes, just pointing out that it is clearly wrong to to claim we have been warming for 300 years.
Your infantile comments suggest you think everything wither has to be caused by nature or by increasing CO2. That isn;t true globally, and certainly not in just England.
“infantile”
Oops, it appears I’ve touched a nerve and you’ve had to desperately back track. How sad, never mind.
I don’t usually respond to you Griff, but I think it’s important to acknowledge your contribution. For the love of God, we need someone here making the case for the alarmist view.
Having said that, we know global temps have increased about 1 degree since 1850. It stands to reason then that we will occasionally experience higher than normal temps.
Of course, none of this makes the case for the accuracy of the models. And it certainly doesn’t mean this is unprecedented warming – just warmer than normal for the last 150 years. Most importantly, it means nothing going forward.
BTW, calling this or that year the 2nd warmest or coldest on record, or whatever, is annoying. We’re talking about a tenth or hundredth of a degree difference. No records can possibly be that accurate.
We are also talking about a record that only goes back a few decades.
“global mean temperature” is a meaningless number that cannot represent “climate”.
I agree, in principle, with your 4th bullet point.
The UK is doomed … I tell you doomed
Don’t get out and enjoy the sun wallow inside and worry about the end of the world instead.
OTOH,
In the cherry picking stakes, UAH Australia lower trop has had no cooling or warming linear trend over the last 10 years of CO2 increase. Steady since August 2012.
How do you explain that?
Geoff S
So what? Be happy that the weather is becoming more clement. Enjoy the sunshine and be happy 😁
Data from the MET Office’s (extremely useful !) “UK and regional series” website (direct link).
NB : The CET data download page is :
https://hadleyserver.metoffice.gov.uk/hadcet/data/download.html
OK, what were you looking at again ? …
“Rank ordered statistics”, check …
“Region” = “UK”, check …
“Parameter” = “Mean temp”, check … click on “Download”, load into spreadsheet, do an X-Y plot on the last two columns (“ann” and “year”) … Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm …
The graph below notes several “(relatively) old but nevertheless (relatively) warm” years.
Note also the “recent but cool” years of :
2012 + 2013, 8.74°C
2010, 7.94°C
– – – – –
According to the Forrest Gump School of Philosophy, “Sh*t happens”.
So does “weather”.
Get over it.
SInce posting the above I realised it wasn’t actually a “X-Y plot”, it was more of a “line graph” with the axes swapped compared to how that data is normally plotted.
A genuine “X-Y plot” is shown below.
The “narrow ribbon” of a Hertzsprung-Russell diagram, which would be expected if atmospheric CO2 levels really did “control the climate”, it is not …
Temperatures in eastern Pa to be between 92 and 97F for all next week. Not the first time and not the last. Think englanders can handle the heat.
Why wouldn’t they? They couldn’t pay the bill otherwise.
I’m sorry? They couldn’t pay the bill otherwise?
When there is no Data, it is just Lore.
Or Spot?
Who was the dumb, irresponsible prick who supplied the Met Office with a red crayon?
They were given a full set, but they ate all the other colours.
Lies one guy had one up his nose.
I heard another one of them put one in another orifice, but we won’t go into that now….
Sitting here in south Texas and it’s been around 40C for what feels like months. Welcome to the party!
Back in the late ’60s, Presidio, along the Rio Grande, was often the nation’s hot spot. It’s been
awhile since you’re as hot as AZ. When I was in Abilene, the hottest we hit was ~100°F (38°C) &
we never had any long heatwaves which usually start in August. This yr, it began in June.
I’ve survived many a Summer day in California over 100 deg F, with cars without A/C. It was so common that I developed a Rule of Thumb: Roll up the windows on the car when it gets above 110.
People are very good at adapting to heat if it leads to a good time. Several years age the Blue Angels performed their semi-annual, (even years), 4th of July weekend show over Grand Traverse Bay while temperatures were hovering right around 104F, (40C in case you didn’t want to do the arithmetic). The only serious consequence was a few drunks falling asleep to awake to 5-alarm sun burn, and the fact that ice vendors had to send trucks back to the refrigeration plant to grab more product.
Hope the politicians, activists and media are proud of the lunatics they have created.

She cheated. Throw away the butane lighter and try the same thing with a log and kindling wood.
Latest woke tech- an electric igniter powered by solar cells after they
turn out all the lights! 😮
That would be good.
What a remarkably clever way to protest! What could possibly go wrong?
Once they do the Joan of Arc thing, then I MIGHT believe they are serious.
I? remember EXACTLY THE SAME DRY, HOT WEATHER in 1973(?). Everything turned brown and we all gasped. Although FIFTY years ago I was young and hardly noticed it !!
Before everybody became a vulnerable victim
” Are the Met Office playing politics too ” ? …….The Met Offices Peter Thorne admitted as much in a Climategate email This is what he wrote ” I also the science is being manipulated to put a political spin on it ..”
The consequences of people voting for Sadiq Khan have been far more harmful to Londoners like me who didn’t vote for him. He should be ashamed of his unnecessary alarmist rhetoric, appalling policies against non-electric vehicles and mismanagement of TfL. They have made matters worse not better.
From the headline, I thought that Sadiq Khan was a very serious consequence of climate change.
He is. And, although nominally Mayor of London, a national embarrassment. What is it with these muppets and that job?
To become a Mayor of London one used to have a proved minimum of intellect and personal achievements up one’s sleeve – but what has Sadiq Khan really got behind him in his life as proof of personal, creative efforts.?
Sure, he studied to become a lawyer. But since then, he has done nothing much – except to become a member of the Labour Party. And that does not require much brain.
With an idiotic statement such as this he has just proved his shortage of intellect – and his utter lack of real understanding of what his job is all about.
I think you’ll find he does it on purpose, he’s a mean spirited man that likes to push buttons and provoke people, (and he knows which ones to push too, like all bullies).
I think Trump described him once as a “stone cold loser”, but he unfortunately hasn’t done enough losing to satisfy me.
The bourgeois lefty Labour type are the worst, you just know he’d be camp commandant.
It’s why a lot of Londoner’s call him Sadiq Khan’t
September ’97, I was taking part in a training exercise with Royal engineers at RAF Lossiemouth on the north coast of Scotland. They were suffering through a major heatwave with temp’s in the upper 80’s F. I thought it was quite pleasant and a nice break from the southern Arkansas heat. Our barracks lacked AC but the nights were cool. Some of the Scots complained they’d never seen temp’s that high.
This was right after Princess Di’s accident. The worst part of the trip was hearing “Candle in the Wind” played on the radio every ten minutes.
The models run hot. Temperatures have been below those forecast, certainly in the south east. The BBC is publishing current temperatures some 2°C greater than local weather stations are showing.
The temperatures are being raised to push the idea global warming is responsible.
What’s more, the record at Cambridge University botanical gardens a few years ago was invalid due to the site of the weather station. Just as Heathrow airport is, but the likes of the BBC call it west London. They will use a similar site to say there’s been a record temperature over the next 2 days.
By Thursday temps will be back to 25°C and below and the hot weather forgotten.
We’ve become a nation of bedwetters who are nannied by government and other agencies.
Khan has forgotten that more than half of Londoners come from places that are much hotter than UK.
Fortunately, few please believe what Khan says.
I think I can can cherry pick better than you griff The Warmest Summer according to the Average mean CET data was 1976 at 17,77c and the second hottest was 1826 at 17,66 The warmest winter was 1869 at 6.77
The warmest January Feb, March, May and June were all between 1779 and 1957
April 2011 was the exception. Have you checked the Arctic sea ice this year ?
I’m keen to know what the actual temps are.
Buried and hidden from view.
‘Buried and hidden from view ” ……Like the thousands of working class British girls enslaved tortured and abused by Pakistani rape gangs for decades only for London Met Commissioner Cressida Dick to fob it all off as though Britain has always had this problem [ which is a filthy lie ] while whistleblowers such as Maggie Oliver and Tommy Robinson have been viciously persecuted and in Robinsons case blackmailed with prison sentences if he defends himself ..Strange how Sadiq Khan’s populous city of London seems to have bucked the trend It is extraordinary what happened in Rotheram Telford and Oldham isn’t Mr Page ?.. One young girl was actually picked up by her rapists in Oldham Police station . This wouldnt be the very same Oldham / Greater Manchester Police that escorted [ it is all on film ] gangs of hooligans to a Tommy Robinson rally where they attacked women children and journalists ..Mark Steyn recently interviewed a young girl named Samantha Smith who was allegedly visited and intimidated by two police officers after she told her story on GB News ..The negative piublicity must have motivated them after years of inaction and cover ups motivated by the over -riding fears of racism and Islamophobia labels if they dared do the job expected of them .Richard would never deny these horrors though …Its not as if he has done so before …..But never mind – the weather might get a bit scorchy for a few days and Londons violent crime epidemic under Sadiq Khans mayoralty may just fade from view for a little while ..
Your medication isn’t working. Whatever it is; increase the dosage – you’re rambling and incoherent now, if this goes on it’ll be violent outbursts and frothing at the mouth. Get the help you so obviously need.

Richard has no argument in response [ and of course he cannot rebut anything I wrote ..The man is in denial ] so instead he raises the spectre of psychiatric pathologization of dissent ….do you like that comeback ‘medicine’ Richard ?……Do you have the same malicious diagnostic recommendation for Mark Steyn and Tommy Robinson and others who disagree with you ? I have witnessed them vent ‘frothingly’ angry outbursts at times which is understandable when one considers the subject matter they report on and the stress they endure ……………I noticed some time ago that the British police and so called ‘mental health professionals ‘ in the United Kingdom [ among them a Pakistani heritage Hizb ut Tahrir spokesman who is authorized to provide ‘expert testimony in Britains courts yet by his own admission does not ‘recognize any law but Allahs ] revived [ well at least this slimy secretive Scotland Yard unit – and similar units in my home country ] the bogus ‘fixation disorder’ ….I say revived ‘ because the ‘fixation ‘ malady was used by the sinister Soviet psychiatrist Dr Lifshits to imprison the scientist Zhores Medvedev and smother his criticism of the pseudoscientific ideas of Trofim Lysenko …Has anyone asked SAGE quack Susan Michie whether she finds this repellent ?
St James Park London 14:00 18 July 2022 = 36 degrees.
Two days ago, the forecast was 41 degrees for today in London.
The temperature will continue to increase this afternoon but it does not look likely it will reach 41 degrees. In fact the forecast peak temperature has been cut to 38 degrees in the last few hours.
Oh No! The glaciers in central England will all melt now raising the sea level. It also spells doom for the English polar bears.
In Australia that would be called channeling your inner Adam “maddog” Bandt 🙂
OMG. The Brits are going to have to drink iced beverages. Oh, the humanity. Weep for them.
/sarc
They might have to cool their beer which is the definition of the end of the world to some.
Never. Life is too short to adopt such a heinous and perverted practice.
I just heard an astute comment by a Professor Ralph Schoellhammer that the very countries that cannot control crime and immigration within their own borders are confident about their ability to control climate in the world. I would like Sadiq Khan to explain.
My that is quite the conundrum isn’t it ?
In my book if someone is unable to solve a much easier problem he will certainly not be able to solve the really difficult problems. Solving the easier problems may, of course, result in that person becoming wiser and displaying some sober realism. This may lead to a climate change when it comes to how they view climate change.
CO2 slows cooling so raises the Tmin temperature. The thing that raised high temperatures Tmax is extra insolation coupled with warm air being blown in from places like North Africa. Since the Clean Air Acts in the UK were implemented there has been a large reduction in Sulphur Dioxide in our atmosphere which has reduced solar reflection and hence increased insolation. Nothing to do with CO2.
I’m pretty sure sure the Brits will survive. If we Aussies avoided the outdoors every time the temperature hits 104F / 40C we’d have very boring summers.
Americans may (not) be interested to know that Sadiq Khan is the Mayor of London. What he was before the heat got to him is anyone’s guess.
A failed politician.
Didn’t the British spend some time in India and it wasn’t considered “dangerous”…/sarc
Except that only mad dogs and Englishmen went out in the mid-day sun. The Englishmen survived; the mad dogs didn’t.
The more extreme the idiotic climate doomsday warnings and predictions become, the more people will realise that they’re being lied to.
Keep ’em coming, Mr Khan!
I refer to the Met Office HadCET daily data for Tmax from this source:
https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/hadobs/hadcet/cetmaxdly1878on_urbadj4.dat
I plotted the 5-year mean of Tmax in deg F for each date in July from years 1878 through 2021. So the data points are from 1880 to 2019.

View the images one by one in sequence forward or back. The cycles, apparent trends, peaks, etc. are much different by date.
But don’t you see the influence of CO2 emissions, a.k.a. Climate Change?!!? I don’t either.
Yawn (As the head posting image suggests.)
Follow the science: “In conclusion on the basis of observational data, the climate crisis that, according to many sources, we are experiencing today, is not evident yet.”

5000 years ago, there was the Egyptian 1st Unified Kingdom warm period
4400 years ago, there was the Egyptian old kingdom warm period.
3000 years ago, there was the Minoan Warm period. It was warmer than now WITHOUT fossil fuels.
Then 1000 years later, there was the Roman warm period. It was warmer than now WITHOUT fossil fuels.
Then 1000 years later, there was the Medieval warm period. It was warmer than now WITHOUT fossil fuels. 1000 years later, came our current warm period.
You are claiming that whatever caused those earlier warm periods suddenly quit causing warm periods, only to be replaced by man’s CO2 emission, perfectly in time for the cycle of warmth every 1000 years to stay on schedule. Not very believable.
The entire climate scam crumbles on this one observation because it shows that there is nothing unusual about today’s temperature and ALL claims of unusual climate are based on claims of excess warmth caused by man’s CO2.
Evidence that the Roman & Medieval warm periods were global:

Feel free to disagree by showing actual evidence that man’s CO2 is causing serious global warming. (Or show your unwillingness to learn by posting a laughter emoji.)

Eighty Times More Excess Deaths Associated With Cold Each Year than Heat
Amid all the hysteria about next week’s extreme temperatures – which could climb to 41°, according to the Met Office – it’s worth bearing in mind that many, many more excess deaths in England and Wales are associated with cold each year than with heat. According to a recent study in the Lancet Planetary Health, between 2000 and 2019, there were an average of 65,000 excess deaths per year in England and Wales associated with cold, but fewer than 800 a year associated with heat. In other words, roughly 80 times more deaths per year are associated with cold than heat.
Needless to say, the report’s authors blame these excess deaths on ‘climate change’ in general and have nothing to say about the likelihood of the 65,000 figure increasing next
winter as a result of rising energy bills. […]

Somehow these ‘weather events’ keep happening… somehow the ‘special circumstances’ keep cropping up…
It’s the non-stop 24/7 alarmist hype Griff, nothing more. But you just want to Believe.
These extreme weather events have existed for eternity yet “somehow” this century they have decreased globally by a magnitude of 10 -11% according to the UNDRR data
