US Immigration Crisis Due to Climate Change: DHS Secretary Mayorkas

From NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT

Mayorkas says immigration crisis due to climate change

JULY 3, 2022

By Paul Homewood

How do you know when Mayorkas is lying? When he opens his mouth!

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said Sunday that the immigration crisis at the southern border is not unique to the U.S., and that southern countries are also seeing a massive influx of migrants due to the global economic downturn and climate change.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/mayorkas-says-immigration-crisis-unique-us-reflective-economic-downturn-climate-change

Alejandro Mayorkas is Biden’s Homeland Security Secretary, who has deliberately opened the US southern border to anybody who wants to come.

He calls this “enforcing our laws”. As a consequence, illegal immigration has hit record levels, with 220,000 in May alone.

His latest claim about climate change is without foundation. There is no evidence that people in Central America are starving or worse off because of (non-existent) climate change:

On the contrary, food output has consistently risen in recent years, and hit an all time high in 2020.

They all need replacing. I don’t know if all of them need to go to jail. Certainly Biden and his co-conspirators in their ongoing attempt to overthrow “government by the people”, should go to jail.

What we are experiencing today is a slow-motion attempted coup perpetrated by the Democrat elites and begun during the Obama-Biden administration. This is the motivation for all they do. They want to consolodate power to themselves and they want to arrange it so the Democrats remain in power in perpetuity.

Fortunately, they have trashed the U.S. economy and the budgets of average Americans before they managed to consolidate power, and as a result, the American people are getting ready to throw them out of office and out of power in November.

Look for that silver lining. 🙂

The odd thing is an “attempted coup” shouldn’t end up with the attempters in complete control of the government, media and education. That sounds more like the outcome from a “successful coup”.

Yes, they are real close to consolidating their power. What is especially outrageous is some Republicans are helping the radical Democrats out by joining in their lies and distortions of reality, like Liz Cheney demonizing Trump at every opportunity and playing right into the coup attempt. Other Repubicans just stay silent while our freedoms are stolen by the Democrats.

Democrats are trying to pass laws to allow unnaturalized citizens to vote. It’s rumored that Biden intends to aid this effort by executive order just prior to the mid-terms. I doubt that he could do this legally but there are still mules out there.

They aren’t just trying, they have passed such laws in NYC. This was a step too far even for the New York supreme court, since the NY constitution specifically mentions citizenship as a qualification for voting.

One can only hope because not much has changed since the 2020 election.
The MO is to tell the same lie over and over until people begin to beleive it really is true. Also the “counting” of ballots. Takes a lot of money. I wonder where they got that idea from?

Mayorkas will be impeached if the Repubicans take over Congress after the upcoming November elections.

Republicans should impeach Biden. He is Mayorkas’ boss and Biden is the one who wants the southern border wide open. He thinks there are too many white people in the United States and he wants to change that.

It takes 67 votes to impeach. Even if they win every senate seat in November, they won’t have that many votes. Add to that the number of RINOs, who will never vote to convict and the Republicans would need more like 70 votes to have a chance to impeach.

“The sad thing is the Senate confirmed each and every one of the cabinet appointees with no questions about climate change at all.”

The unfortunate thing is the Republicans in the U.S. Senate don’t have a clue about human-caused climate change. They are as brainwashed as the rest of the gullible.

Is there even one Republican politician who challenges the basic premise that CO2 can cause catastrophic changes in the Earth’s atmosphere? No, not one, other than Senator Inhofe, and he’s retiring at the end of this year. Even Trump has never really challenged the basic premise. He’s called it a hoax, but that was more for provocation, than him taking a stand on the basic premise.

All these people are operating on a premise that has NEVER been established as fact. Delusional leaders will be the destruction of Western civilization. They can’t govern properly when they can’t recognize reality.

Who spread all this climate change disinformation? Why, the most dangerous organization in the Western World, the Leftwing Media. We have them to thank for the millions of misguided human beings in the Western world. They are lying us into disaster.

The only climate refugees that I am aware of are people who move to warmer countries for their retirement. Spain is home to enormous numbers of Britons who have retired there. I live in Scotland and I have never met anybody who retired here after living in a warmer country.

The cold may be why my ancestors left for the US in the 1840’s, though NY City would not be considered a retirement destination now. Does that make them climate refugees? According to family lore, the last trip back to see relatives in the “old country” was at the end of 1902. It is neat stuff, though, having a Clan history, plaid, and Coat of Arms…

Yeah my dad is clan secretary for a highland clan in Argyllshire; he usually deals with Americans trying to find clan roots, and one example of someone retiring in a warmer country to move back to colder Scotland!

My Italian ancestors landed in NYC but rapidly moved north to New Haven because at the time the Italian community was much less crowded in that city.
Both places were chillier than Solopaca in Benevento Italy.

As someone who has worked throughout Central America, in both rural and urban settings, I would think that there is instantly available an economy with three parts, agriculture, mining, and tourism. There appear to be two aspects to this mass migration, one is advancing socialism/communism and the other is the economic give-away incentives to cross into the USA, so both the carrot and the stick are in play. The attraction of the tourism denies that there are climate refugees.

Ben Vorlich
July 4, 2022 3:55 am

Migration is driven by many things. Climate Change could be one, BUT normally when things get colder.
Other factors are war, over population meaning that jobs and resources are scarce, political repression, temporary migration due to weather is not uncommon either, for example sever drought. But the key factor is having access to a wealthy (or perceived wealthy) neighbouring state where the chances of being sent home are low and the chances of getting paid employment are high.

But why miss a good opportunity for propaganda

Michael in Dublin

If there were no financial benefits to illegals pouring across the border but only the prospect of having to work very hard, perhaps only manual labor for many years to support yourself and your family with food, housing, clothing, medical expenses, transport and schooling – only a small number would want to enter the US.

If there were only the strictest penalties for smuggling drugs or people across the border, or getting involved in criminal gangs three more major incentives to enter the US would be removed.

If America’s closest southern neighbors were helped to establish law and order and allow their own citizens to work hard and benefit from their labors with mininal government interference there would be even more incentive not to move to the US or to allow foreigners undocumented entrance to their countries and transit to the US border.

None of these have anything to do with climate. Most of these are purely moving for economic reasons.

That “small number” would be self selected to those willing to work and assimilate and with the ease of travel would include migrants from Africa and Asia, as well as some of our ancestors from Europe.

It cost “migrants” $10K per person to the cartels in order to be permitted to travel through Mexico & cross the border. Starving, impoverished, climate migrants do not have that cash on hand.

This isn’t about suffering. This is about organized crime enabled by the Mexican & US Federal governments.

Cliimate change, political climate change, social climate change, indeed. Emigration reform to mitigate the progress of immigration reform (e.g. labor arbitrage) and collateral damage (e.g. planned parenthood) at both ends of the bridge and throughout.

Kevin kilty

The current administration refuses steadfastly to placing any barrier to illegal immigrantion on the border, coddles people who cross, and does nothing to counter the propaganda of Soros supported operations to the effect that Biden will welcome them. In effect the administration has constructed an attractive nuisance which lures ignorant people across the border and some unknown number of them die, are injured or fall prey to a sort of slavery.

If one were to construct or allow an attractive nuisance to lure children to their injury, that person would be sued eight ways from Sunday. But the Biden administration peddles a cynical excuse that this is all caused by climate change without any evidence to support the claim at all. There is no measurement of any climate parameter that would suggest people are migrating in relation to any climate trend. Are people, other than journalists I mean, so stupid as to fall for this?

The Positive Externalities
of Carbon Dioxide:
Estimating the Monetary Benefits of Rising Atmospheric
CO2 Concentrations on Global Food Production

http://www.co2science.org/education/reports/co2benefits/MonetaryBenefitsofRisingCO2onGlobalFoodProduction.pdf

“The present study addresses this deficiency by providing a quantitative estimate of the direct
monetary benefits conferred by atmospheric CO2 enrichment on both historic and future global
crop production. The results indicate that the annual total monetary value of this benefit grew
from $18.5 billion in 1961 to over $140 billion by 2011, amounting to a total sum of $3.2 trillion
over the 50-year period 1961-2011. Projecting the monetary value of this positive externality
forward in time reveals it will likely bestow an additional $9.8 trillion on crop production
between now and 2050.
The incorporation of these findings into future SCC studies will help to ensure a more realistic
assessment of the total net economic impact of rising atmospheric CO2 concentrations due to
both negative and positive externalities. Furthermore, the observationally-deduced benefits of
atmospheric CO2 enrichment on crop production should be given premier weighting over the
speculative negative externalities that are projected to occur as a result of computer model
computations of CO2-induced global warming. Until this is done, little if any weight should be
placed on current SCC calculations”

A long long long long time ago it was necessary and required to submit hard copies of Subdivision Plats. I would make the copy, and add the certification on the Plat copy that said “I hereby certify that this is a true and exact copy …” and the Surveyor would be sign the cert.

Well, the guy I worked for didn’t do much review before he signed stuff. If there was a mistake it was easy for him to pass the blame on to the flunky (me) that did the work. He was a really good guy, but it irritated me a bit, so I certified one of them as “I hereby certify that I am a big goof and I did not read this”.

I intended to jokingly show him, as incentive for more thorough review, but I never did … I think he would have enjoyed the joke, but I whimped out and had him sign a correct copy, and never showed him the ‘goof’ certification.

Anyway … given the loyalty of Cummalla Hairass’ staff, it may not have been stupidity.
