Just about everyone who saw An Inconvenient Truth was convinced by the evidence presented as well. It turns out that most humans are extremely easy to convince, especially when they are told something that they very much want to believe and when they’re too lazy to investigate the facts or get the opposing point of view.

I think the people who saw AIT were likely to already be true believers. Same with 2K Mules. For both, the audience preselected themselves.

The reason I rarely watch documentary films is they aren’t balanced. The creators already had a story and point of view in mind (same as modern journalists) before they begin.

BTW- we were cheated. The 2020 election was not free or fair. The fix was in before voting began.. I’d like to see an honest accounting. But I’m not holding my breath.

It turns out that feelings are not evidence. There are lots of people who apparently feel as if the 2020 election was not free or fair, having been told so repeatedly. But there is no actual evidence of that, as should be painfully obvious by 61 election lawsuits all thrown out of court, TV stations having to admit on air that they had no evidence of the fraud they insinuated, Krakens admitting that no reasonable person would believe their bullsh*t, the Trump campaign’s own data scientists and campaign lawyer telling him that he was going to lose and that there was no sign of fraud, Trump’s attorney general telling him that every case of supposed fraud he investigated turned out to be bullsh*t, Republican Trump-voting election officials telling him that they investigated all allegations of fraud and they all turned out to be bullsh*t, partisan Trump-loving auditors unable to find any fraud, etc., all in a continuous river of “bullsh*t that has now flowed for almost two years.

If your feelings and the feelings of just about everyone you know counted as actual evidence, then AOC’s claims about global warming would probably be factual. Reality doesn’t work that way.

IMO your comparison of AGW and election fraud really isn’t that good. Not quite apples to oranges, but maybe apples to pears….one comes under the auspices of science (albeit heavily manipulated “science”) and the other under a legal framework.
I would compare the allegations of election fraud to various legal cases (criminal and civil). Cases where the defendant had a mountain of circumstantial (and sometimes even forensic) evidence against them, but yet by some bizarre turn of events, gets off scott free.
Examples I can think of off the top of my head are OJ Simpson and Casey Anthony. Yes, there is a tiny fraction of possibility that neither of these people ever killed anyone. But, the circumstantial evidence and motivation saying that they did kill is mountainous. What happened there was the prosecution botched the cases and both defendants retained some seriously high powered defense.
And then there are crimes where the perp was never even caught or accused….Jack the Ripper is one and a couple of years ago there was an elderly serial killer in California. The only reason he was caught was because a relative submitted a DNA sample to one of those ancestry research sites and the police were able to get a hold of it. Barring that, like Jack the Ripper and other killers, he would have gone to his grave with blood on his hands and no one (but him) would ever be the wiser.
Basically, under the legal framework here in the US, you can buy your way out of just about any crime or civil accusation/suit. And yes, even under the best justice systems, there will always be those who avoid getting caught, or they weasel their way out if they do. Money talks.
Just because no one was caught and no proof (other than circumstantial and some hard core motive) offered does not mean that what is alleged never happened.
AGW, OTOH, is more like a religious cult. At its core are supposed scientists who are being paid, bullied, prodded in some other way, or just slavishly devoted to said religion that they will back the notion of humen-generated CO2 destroying the world. They have evidence to present thru all sorts of papers and studies, but so much of that is doctored, fabricated, or at the least, based on faulty data. And unlike election fraud and other crimes (which have happened in the past and will happen again), there is no criminal or court arguments. Just a slavish devotion to the notion of CAGW (and the drive to shut down those who disagree).

They are both like religious cults, and they are both impervious to reason. In the case of election fraud, apparently all you have to do is make a claim, and true believers will automatically take it as fact. More votes in some place than registered voters? Completely made up bullsh*t, but instantly believed. Suitcases full of ballots run repeatedly through voting machines in the middle of the night. Also completely made up bullsh*t, and also instantly believed. Every single claim of significant fraud has been investigated, and ever single one has turned out to be bullsh*t.

Starting with a belief and then trying to find some facts to support it is the MO of both global warming and voter fraud. In the case of voter fraud, every supposed “fact” supporting it has been actively investigated and falsified. So why believe in it, other than due to a tribal religious belief that it “must” somehow be true?

When Obama and Hilary made precisely the same claims about voter fraud, neither of them were hounded and vilified. Why was that?

Why were Republican observers refused entry to counting stations? Why were the windows blacked out with cardboard? Why were they corralled into pens tens of metres away from counting stations when they were let in?

The first two are, as I understand it, a lawful requirement, the third was claimed to be a covid precaution, but I’d like to see where voter laws state that during a pandemic legal observers are not allowed to witness the process without binoculars.

There are always a handful of cases. The question being discussed is whether there were enough cases to change the outcome of the election, which would involve at least tens of thousands of cases, and there is zero evidence that happened. There is zero evidence despite the Justice Department chasing down every wild story that Trump threw at them in order to see whether they were valid. None of them were, and the members of Trump’s own election team, as well as lawyers for the RNC and Trump’s own Attorney General have all testified to this fact under oath and on video. You can watch it, in fact, with just a click of your mouse or your TV remote. Why don’t you watch the testimony, and after that then you can send the Republican lawyers and investigators who looked into alleged fraud a bunch of “Lol” and winky face messages?

Those cases were “thrown out of court” based on the judges’ concluding that the parties who brought them had no legal “standing” to sue. None got to the point of examining the claims “on the merits”. Here, you have merely offered unsupported assertions regarding what you wish to be true. If you haven’t seen the 2000 Mules movie it’s because your mind is hermetically sealed against being challenged.

Again, more bullsh*t. Some of the cases were dismissed due to the plaintiffs having no legal standing, which means that the plaintiffs didn’t even have enough evidence to show that anyone was harmed by the alleged incident. The rest of the cases went to court, where the plaintiffs showed whatever evidence they had before being laughed out of court. Trump’s side lost with Trump appointed justices and with non-Trump appointed justices. Of, I believe, 62 cases, Trump’s side lost 61, and the one and only case that they actually won, involving “cured” ballots, made no material difference whatsoever to the outcome of the vote.

Not having legal standing doesn’t have anything to do with a lack of “evidence.” Those courts simply refused even to look at the evidence, because they dismissed the cases on procedural grounds before it reached any examination of the evidence.

Perhaps an example will cut through your mental fog. If your friend’s life insurance policy benefits were unpaid after their death, you, not being a relative (and assuming you were not the beneficiary), would have no legal standing to bring suit against the insurer. Even if you had a copy of the policy and a copy of the cancelled check showing the premium was paid.

Nobody but you mentioned my feelings. But
tet’s stick with facts.

Fact – Courts and bureaucrats can’t make changes to how elections are conducted outside the laws of the state. If a state legislature didn’t approve mail-in ballots, those votes should not have been accepted. Read the Constitution. Yes, I’m aware the courts did not uphold this obvious truth. I’m also aware the Trump campaign did not properly challenge this beforehand and massively bungled the after-election lawsuits.

Once those ballots were accepted, there was no way to separate those votes from the ones cast properly. It was a fait accompli. The Trump campaign got played.

Fact – The media and big tech conspired to withhold the truth about Hunter Biden’s laptop. An after-election poll found 4.6% of Biden voters would have voted differently had they known about this beforehand. Source – https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2022/mar/24/medias-suppression-of-hunter-laptop-was-election-i/

You also need to be careful about claiming what the courts actually said. There is a matter of certification of the vote and all states have a date by which the votes must be certified. There was no time to conduct proper investigations.

How many of those elections you watched took place during a global pandemic, in which millions of people voted absentee ballots in order to avoid public spaces? Of those pandemic elections, how many took place in an environment where democrats were generally much more likely to avoid public spaces than republicans, and in which democrats had the opportunity en mass to vote early against a president they hated, and in which the national mail service was extremely disrupted and slow?

If 2020 was the only one, then that might explain the large number of absentee ballots and the fact that they skewed heavily democratic.

It turns out that feelings are not evidence.

Tell that to a psychologist.

The 2000Mules video was never mean to be conclusive, it’s a reason to stimulate an investigation.

And if you want to discuss things not being investigated, how about Chuck Schumer openly threatening a Supreme Court Judge? Trump was impeached for telling people to walk “peacefully and patriotically” to the Capitol building, nothing happens to Schumer even when someone turns up at Kavanaugh’s house with a gun, duck tape, cable ties and shoes specially muffled for stealth. Not to mention the demonstrators who shouldn’t be there in the first place because it’s against the law. Nothing done about them either.

How many more cases of left wing favouritism (it’s gone way beyond bias) do you want presented to you?

The DUI case being dropped against Pelosi’s husband which wasn’t reinstated until a row broke out over it. Will he be found not guilty? You can bet you mortgage he will.

And whilst I’ll leave Hunter Biden’s laptop out of it for the moment, however, there is documentary evidence of him lying on a firearms application form. It happens all the time and nothing is done about it other than the licence is rejected, but not when your old man is POTUS pushing for gun laws in the wake of Uvaldi.

And as a Brit, I have to say Americans ask for this type of favouritism when Judges are political appointments. Get that out your system and half your legal problems evaporate overnight.

You may note that the Georgia Bureau of Investigations actually attempted to start an investigation into the allegations made by 2000 Mules, and the GBI further involved the FBI in the case.

The GBI and FBI made repeated requests that True the Vote provide them with the statements and witnesses that True the Vote claims to have who can supposedly validate ballot harvesting.

Despite repeated requests, True the Vote, whose information is the basis of 2000 Mules, never provided any of the requested information to either the GBI or the FBI, as a result of which they both dropped the case due to a lack of probable cause. This is clearly detailed in the letter from GBI that I linked to below.

You would think that the people supposedly holding evidence of voter fraud would be ecstatic at the chance to provide that evidence to the FBI. Yet instead they just made up a bunch of excuses for why they’d love to, but they just can’t do it now… So sorry!

The fact that True the Vote made claims of election fraud and then seems unable to provide any evidence for those claims is not that surprising, however, when you consider that Gregg Phillips similarly alleged to have evidence of millions of illegal votes cast in 2016, and similarly failed to provide any of that “evidence” too. Maybe the evidence is all hiding in Mike Lindell’s coat pocket, ready to be sprung on the public after a late night pillow commercial?

It turns out that all you need to do to fool millions of rubes is just to claim to have evidence of something. If anyone bothers to ask to see that evidence, you can just make up any bullsh*t excuse for why you unfortunately just can’t share any of it. As for Pelosi’s husband and all the rest of it… try to focus.

There’s lots of oddities about the November ’20 election. Biden barely campaigned. Why? He knew the fix was in, but more importantly the democrats weren’t spending money on expensive rallies and TV ads, they were busy buying phony votes at $20 a pop. That’s where their campaign money was going.

At the time we all noticed and made jokes about Biden in his basement and pathetic rallies with empty chairs. I noticed that they ran very few TV ads, and I live in Wisconsin a so-called battle ground state.

After watching 2000 Mules, it all ads up.

Are you, by any chance, a strong believer in CAGW? I ask only because your argument suggesting there was fraud in the November 20 election is only slightly more preposterous than the arguments for CAGW.

In fact, the CAGW argument isn’t all that preposterous when you consider the fact that we know the oil companies have kept a working prototype of a pollution-free perpetual motion machine locked away from the public for 75 years, a feat that they have achieved mainly by using their oil profits to pay all journalists and politicians a one billion dollar stipend each year to pretend that it isn’t true.

“your argument suggesting there was fraud in the November 20 election is only slightly more preposterous than the arguments for CAGW.”

Your claim there was no fraud is ridiculous. There was plenty of fraud with regard to the 2020 voting. If you don’t see it, you don’t want to see it. It’s right in front of your eyes.

What gets me is why this 2000 Mules video is so poorly promoted to the public. I thought these guys wanted us to believe they have evidence in this movie but they don’t make the movie available to anyone without paying. If you want everyone to see this, make it available to everyone for free. Isn’t this kind of a very serious subject? Shouldn’t your freedom seekers be promoting this evidence of voting scandal at every opportunity? You seem rather lackadaisical about the whole thing.

I saw about half the 2000 Mules video, and the half I saw looked like obvious voter fraud to me. What legitimate reason does one person have to visit 25 voting drop boxes in one day, early in the morning. They tracked the guy’s cellphone location and they have the videos showing him depositing ballots in each of the dropboxes.

Unfortunately, we can’t say for whom these votes were cast, so we can’t definitively say the election was stolen, but there were certainly more than enough fraudulent votes to have swung the election. You could deny that, but you would be wrong if you did.

I suggest that you watch about half of An Inconvenient Truth. It’s also highly persuasive. Then maybe CAGW won’t seem preposterous at all. It will seem blindingly obvious.

Alternatively, you could do what intelligent people should do after watching half (or even all) of AIT and read criticisms of the claims made in the movie, ask whether the claims are actually supported by the data, etc., after which you might realize that AIT, like 1000 Mules, is all just a bunch of bullsh*t.

Should you realize that the claims made in the 1000 Mules film (or at least the half you managed to watch) actually are neither logical nor supported by the data as claimed, then this may also help clear up the question that you may be asking yourself about why there are no law suits based on those claims, or why neither law enforcement, nor the GOP, nor anyone in Congress other than those who believe in Jewish space lasers is taking the movie seriously. So, just by reading any of the very many counter arguments to 1000 Mules, you could educate yourself on more than one question, and all in approximately the same time that it takes to watch half a movie.

Should you be in a particularly reflective mood, you might also want to consider the question of why it is that CAGW believers are all convinced that the oceans are rising precipitously. Yet when confronted with clear data showing that not to be the case they simply become convinced that even if not true, hurricanes and tornadoes are clearly getting worse. Yet when shown data disproving those ideas will seemlessly pivot to a supposed Pacific garbage patch, imminent bug apocalypse, polar bear extinction, etc. And no matter how many of these ideas are disproved by evidence, they will always move on to another one, because they know deep down that CAGW is happening and it’s only a matter of finding out where and when. Why do you believe that is, and do you think that there may be a lesson in there somewhere for you?

What, fact checkers?

Please……..

Who is moving onto claims other than those in 200Mules, namely, that ballot box stuffing is a real problem.

The movie didn’t even address the issue of voter machine fraud, lost thumb drives, internet connected machines postal voting etc.

Clearly you haven’t figured it out yet, the left lies, all the time. In fact, they have done it for so long now they are incapable of telling the truth.

We know voter fraud is real, both sides have done it for generations, it’s just that the left went for it big time to simply get rid of Trump. No other reason. He’s not a globalist which the left hated/hates; he’s not interested in the climate scam, which the left also hates; he’s supportive of the first and second amendments, which the left are apoplectic about.

Indeed, the left don’t even hide it any longer, government officials are openly stating that the American public must be censored.

In what world is that either unconstitutional or sane? The first things a tyrannical government does is control the media, stifle free speech, jail political opponents, and go after gun laws.

It beggars belief that its happening in America right now, but it is, yet you are convinced there was no voter fraud.

Open your eyes man…….

All of the supposed issues you mentioned above were investigated by a Republican controlled Justice Department, as well as by the Trump campaign, the RNC, etc., and every single one of them was determined to be complete bullsh*t. This has been testified to by senior RNC and Trump campaign lawyers, as well as by Trump’s own Attorney General. The fact that no one is making a big deal about any of them is not due to a grand conspiracy. It is due to the fact that when you actually look into them, they all turn out to be obvious bullsh*t.

Oh, and what level/kind of evidence would be valid in the Court of Reacher51?

As far as I recall, none of the eyewitnesses who signed affadavits were found remotely credible. They mostly alleged to have overheard things, which was hearsay, or else they signed affadavits saying things like they felt uncomfortable observing ballot counting because someone was giving them a dirty look.

That is why all but one of the lawsuits filed over the election got laughed out of court. It is also why the Trump side lawyers themselves didn’t actually allege fraud in court and were very careful to tell the judge that they weren’t accusing anyone of actual fraud.

You don’t need to know what evidence is valid in the Court of Reacher51. It is sufficient to know what evidence was considered valid in the actual courts when these crazy cases came up, and similarly which evidence was considered sufficiently valid by Trump’s lawyers that they felt they could submit it in court without being disbarred. The answer was, basically, none of it.

A brief summary of some of the court cases and what Trump’s lawyers actually claimed when held to legal standards in court:

If you don’t like Time, then you can find hundreds of other sources for this information. I just did a quick google for it. You can do the same.

If you find evidence that Trump’s lawyers actually alleged fraud in court, or that they provided evidence of fraud in court, then feel free to let me know. As far as I know, they never did, because no such evidence exists, and the lawyers that made generally unsubstantiated allegations, such as Powell and Giuliani, are all facing or have received disciplanary action for doing so.

The dismissal of “eyewitnesses,” incidentally, was done by Trump’s lawyers themselves in court. If they actually had reliable eyewitnesses providing evidence of fraud, then they obviously would have mentioned it. That was ostensibly the reason for all of these lawsuits.

The fact that Trump’s justice department, lawyers for his campaign, lawyers for the RNC, and lawyers representing Trump’s side in several dozen lawsuits all dismissed or ignored the “eyewitnesses” ought to open your eyes to the fact that there is nothing to them.

Moreover he fact that True the Vote appears to have exactly one whistleblower as discussed below, and that D’Souza never actually met or spoke to this alleged person, and that the GBI and FBI requested but never received any info on this person or any other eyewitness, and that the only claim that this person exists comes from a known liar who bullsh*tted about voter fraud in 2016, all ought to open your eyes too.

The thing about chasing goblins is that if you start with the certain knowledge that they must exist, then you will always find another closet to look in or bed to look under that haven’t been checked yet. You will also always find another piece of “evidence” to support their existence. A vase suddenly found broken on the floor? Goblins! If it turns out after investigation that the dog just bumped the table, then that of course doesn’t disprove goblins. It just means that this particular instance wasn’t goblins. Etc.

Tribalism and group belief are powerful forces, but they are unfortunately forces that powerfully make you stupid. It is easy to see this when your tribe doesn’t subscribe to a particular belief, such as in the case of global warming. But you should endeavor to apply it to stupid fixed ideas that your tribe believes in too.

No, that’s bullshit. Show me the investigations that were done. All you have is Bob Barr saying he didn’t have any evidence of voter fraud. What Bob didn’t say was he didn’t look for any voter fraud, so it’s hard to find when you don’t look.

That’s all you have is one statement by Attorney General Bob Barr. Show me where he conducted an investigation. You can’t do it because did not conduct an investigation.

Barr testified that he chased down every wild accusation he received. The lawyers from the Justice Department who investigated these claims testified about chasing down these claims and finding no substance to them too. The House Committee is attempting to show you these things. You simply need to watch and you will see the lawyers testifying.

Incidentally, if Bill Barr qualifies as “the Left,” then I’m pretty sure that neither Bill Barr nor anyone on the actual Left is aware of that fact. Also, Trump was told that he lost the election by absolutely everyone in his circle other than a drunk Giuliani, and none of those people were “Leftists” either, unless you define “Leftist” as sane.

Bob Barr qualifies as a guy who doesn’t want to get connected to any controversy involving Trump. Bob Barr has been influenced by the anti-Trump leftwing meme and as a result he wants to stay as far away from Trump as possible so as not to become a target of the Left himself.

Many weak-kneed Republicans are afflicted with this desire, conscious, or unconscious, of conforming to the Leftwing meme of the moment, because they are afraid of the Left. And then they do stupid things which assist the Left in stealing the nation from its people, like dismissing voter fraud with the wave of a hand.

Indeed! That is very astute.

However, Barr dismissed voter fraud after launching Justice Department investigations into it, which themselves complemented investigations led by the FBI and local state bureaus of investigation.

So, in fact, the list of people and organizations obviously infected by the anti-Trump leftwing meme now include, among others:

  • Bill Barr
  • Attorneys at the Justice Department who investigated claims of voter fraud (including the Trump appointed one who investigated the suitcase full of ballots that turned out to be a standard locked ballot box)
  • The FBI
  • The Geogia Bureau of Investigations and other state investigative agencies
  • The Republican National Committee
  • Republican State Committees in all states with alleged fraud
  • Trump’s White House Attorney, Eric Herschmann
  • Sidney “The Kraken” Powell (“no reasonable person would conclude that [her] statements were truly statements of fact,” according to her leftwing-infected legal defense)
  • Fox News
  • OAN (but begrudgingly!)
  • Trump campaign lawyers arguing lawsuits in front of judges (some oddly Trump appointed!) in Pennsylvania, Nevada, and even Maricopa County, Arizona (“We are not alleging fraud in this lawsuit. We are not alleging anyone stealing the election,” said Kory Langhofer, a Trump campaign attorney, at the start of the hearing)

It’s a pretty long list, because the ones above are obviously just scratching the surface. Now, some people will stupidly claim that the various people included in that list are saying there is no voter fraud just because they are well educated and examined the evidence, or just because they were forced to make statements only based on real evidence while in court. Like you, however, I recognize that idea is clearly implausible, if not outright impossible.

However, given the rather widespread denial of election fraud among people who investigated and prepostrously claim not to see the very clear evidence that you see, I believe that there is an even more likely explanation than leftwing meme infection.

Have you considered that the number of well informed people who buy into the Democrats’ nonsense (including even Republican ex-presidents!) must inevitably point us to finding a conspiracy of Lizard People? There seems to be no other possible explanation, as I hope you agree, and anyway, it feels really true. My ultimate hope is that someday people will open their eyes to the insidious influence of the Lizard People, whose power clearly extends to making it impossible for any of us to see them. Until that day comes, however, keep fighting the good fight for truth and justice!

Firstly, claims made by True the Vote about what evidence they have are not the same as them actually providing evidence. True the Vote claims to have witnesses who can tie cell data to ballot harvesting. However, when requested by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to provide these witnesses so that the GBI can follow up, True the Vote provided nothing, as per the following letter:

https://twitter.com/stphnfwlr/status/1451309892824936452/photo/1

Moreover, the claims made by True the Vote come from Gregg Phillips, who claimed in 2016 to have evidence of millions of fraudulent votes cast for Clinton, but who provided absolutely zero evidence to back that up as well. Watching a film in which people claim to have evidence is not the same thing as seeing evidence.

Many additional problems with the movie are described here:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/05/11/2000-mules-offers-least-convincing-election-fraud-theory-yet/

You can further find many more articles discussing e.g. the lack of geographical precision of the data, resulting in the fact that in some cases you can’t distinguish who was going to a ballot box and who was going to a nearby fast food restaurant, as well as discussions of the fact that a person with a phone, an ipad, and an apple watch would be counted as three people, as well as lots of perfectly reasonable reasons why various people would visit multiple drop box sites over the course of a month, such as collecting ballots. This stuff is not hard to find, but like with An Inconvenient Truth, you have to retain a bit of rationality and skepticism about whether the huckster presenting the argument is actually giving you all the facts.

Reacher51

There was absolutely nothing mysterious about the way that votes came in. Trump made a bunch of stupid allegations about things that were perfectly normal, as described fairly succinctly by Barr here, from ~6:33 – 10:12:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPriOpIek0E

If you have no understanding of how things work, then it is easy to believe that everything you see is strange or inexplicable. And Trump obviously has no qualms about spewing bullsh*t freely and letting the rubes lap it up. But before you develop a religious belief about the veracity of Trump’s BS claims, you might want to ask whether they are actually correct and seek some actual facts.

You might also want to ask yourself why, if those “hundreds of thousands of mysterious votes appeared out of nowhere,” none of that made any impact whatsoever. No one got ruffled about this. Not Trump’s Justice Department, not Trump’s campaign, not the RNC, not the Wall St. Journal or Fox after they had time to look into the truth of the claims, etc. The answer, and the reason that no one with at least an average IQ and a college level education is making a stink about the ballots that came in is because it was not unexpected, unusual, or remarkable in any way, and the voting pattern of those ballots wasn’t either. There’s no conspiracy involving every person alive but you pretending not to see “evidence.” There is just no actual evidence.

I haven’t seen 2000 Mules, but I did see a pretty good video featuring the makers of the film.
The apparently strong correlation between the paths of the mules and the drop boxes looks very interesting and possibly damning.
However, did they do a proper statistical analysis of this correlation? If not, then they should. An obvious test would be to display the paths with the drop box positions randomly generated (a sort of Monte Carlo analysis). If only the non-random correlations look good, then their case would be stronger. It’s essential because the human eye can see correlation where none exist.
At the time I looked at a lot of evidence on Youtube. I think I am a sceptical person, particularly about climate change. I found a lot of the evidence to appear very convincing – and yet….
Many of the claims make statements of truth e.g. the real time polling data that showed apparently serious and very suspicious anomalies. If true, that data would be serious evidence for massive fraud. But, on the other hand, the person making the video could have fabricated it. It would take a lot of effort to follow up the sources, if available, in order to check the reality.

So, I would say this:
If a significant proportion of the evidence offered is true, then there is a very strong case that the election was stolen.
The claims, made endlessly by the BBC and all the other media, that there was no evidence for significant election fraud is obviously untrue.
For example, there were hundreds of signed affidavits that described all kinds of illegal activities. If proven false, the author could go to jail.
A security camera video showed extremely suspicious and probably illegal activities by the officials. At about 10 PM they told the Republican observers that counting would stop now and resume in the morning. The video shows the observers putting on their coats and leaving. When the observers and most of the staff had left, three people remained and went to work.
They pulled out containers – possibly suitcases – that had been hidden under the tables. They were stuffed with voting papers that they then proceeded to “count”. I’m pretty sure that falsely ensuring there were no observers during vote counting would be a criminal offense. As they had resorted to trickery, almost certainly the papers were fraudulent votes.

There were numerous indicators that Trump was likely to win. Early voting data during the weeks before the election day showed Trump doing very well, although early voting is supposedly done far more by Democrat voters. The results during election day showed him winning. But, early in the morning, there was a pause and then, as if by magic, Biden moved ahead. In at least one case, as I recall, Trump’s numbers actually went down!
There were a number of bell-weather counties that were claimed to be reliable predictors of the final outcome. It was reported that Trump won all of them.
As I said, you have to be sceptical about everything on Youtube.
Some time ago I thought it would be great to see serious academic studies on the matter. There has been one quite recently: it did show probable fraud amounting to hundreds of thousands of votes.
As far as I am aware, all legal claims made by Republicans were turned down by the courts on procedural grounds. The most significant was the claim made by the state of Texas and joined by other states. The Supreme Court immediately rejected it on procedural grounds. I don’t know if the actual evidence for fraud was actually tested in any court.
Overall, I think it is possible that the election was stolen. But I certainly don’t know for sure.
Chris

No, it was not. No court has ever considered any voting fraud evidence from the 2020 election. The hearings have been stopped before getting that far, on, as you say, precedural grounds.

The Supreme Court was wrong and political not to accept the Texas lawsuit. The Supreme Court is the only court that has jurisdiction, and they refuse to hear the case. It’s outrageous, Mr. Chief Justice.

Completely bogus information. Trump’s side had numerous days in court and didn’t allege fraud, due to an inconvenient lack of any evidence.

See here, for some examples. You could look up the court transcripts too if really interested:

So much nonsense.

In no particular order, most of the trump lawsuits made it into court, and Trump’s lawyers had ample opportunity to allege fraud while in court. They didn’t, presumably because they had no evidence and didn’t want to get disbarred. In some cases, the judges asked Trump’s lawyers explicitly whether they were alleging election fraud, and the answer was always no. You can look up the actual court transcripts if you are interested.

For another thing, the supposed suitcase of ballots was just a standard ballot box just like the others. The allegation of fraud was investigated both by the state of Georgia as well as the FBI, as well as by a Trump-appointed lawyer for the state department. None of them found any wrongdoing whatsoever, because they looked at more than a snippet of the video and asked intelligent questions.

You can see the justice department lawyer testify about this specific event here:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0H1oRsDvG6s

As for the polls, the Trump campaign’s own data team told Trump that he was going to lose, which they also testified to under oath.

And the supposed data correlations are nonsense too. There are e.g. delivery trucks with up to 6 cell responders per truck that drive routes going past multiple ballot collection centers. The patterns you find so significant are not necessarily so.

Instead of simply listening to what a movie tells you “must” be happening, why don’t you try also listening to e.g. what data experts have to say on the subject? It is easy to be persuaded when you know nothing about a subject and get all of your information from a partisan ideologue. I give you An Inconvenient Truth as a prime example of this. Did you see how the CO2 line shot up over the top of the screen? Did you see the graphics of flooded cities and the pictures of the top of Mt Fuji? OMG! Lots of evidence! Unless, of course, you are not too lazy to listen to the other side as well, after which you often discover the other side is much more sensible.

‘The reason I rarely watch documentary films is they aren’t balanced.’

Nor are they required to be. And that’s ok as long as what’s stated as factual is not knowingly incorrect. Case in point is the infamous “scissor lift” scene in AIT when Gore says that CO2 causes temperatures to rise, when in fact all the available ice core data showed that temperature change preceded CO2 change by hundreds to thousands or years. I’ve always had a hard time believing that none of Gore’s technical advisors didn’t point this out during production and/or prior to distribution, hence his well deserved reputation among ‘skeptics’ as a complete joke.

Why is it that individual State investigations have found enough voter fraud in their elections to swing the election. Barr apparently didn’t speak to them because they say there was massive voter fraud especially in the swing States. But Barr can’t find any evidence. Ridiculous.

The vote fraud numbers for the various States have been presented here at WUWT in the past. Barr ought to read WUWT. He would learn something.

Ooh, ooh, ooh! I can answer that!

The answer is that absolutely none of the individual state investigations found enough voter fraud in their elections to swing the election. This, incidentally, accounts for the apparently mystifying (to you) fact that none of them changed the outcome of their elections, and that the Justice Department did not come down hard on voter fraud in any of these states, and that the RNC didn’t sue, and so on and so on.

You’re welcome.

It turns out that it takes far less than one full spin through the unending fever dream of dead voters; votes exceeding registered voters; secret suitcases of ballots; Dominion voting machine fraud; Smartmatic voting machine fraud; Benford’s Law; Venezuelan fraud schemes; traces of Chinese bamboo found on ballots; late night TV pillow salesmen with hidden evidence that they’re just not ready to reveal yet; Krakens who end up claiming that no reasonable person could possibly have taken their claims seriously; audits by “Cyber Ninjas,”… and now ridiculous claims about “2,000 Mules” that don’t seem able to withstand critical scrutiny- to go Full Retard.

Joe Biden may very well be a jackass, but it turns out that all you need to install a jackass as President is American voters. It happens every 4-8 years. It also turns out that all you need in order for people to completely turn off their critical factor and convince themselves of something that is utterly absurd and utterly lacking in evidence is tribalism and group identity. It happens every day when you tell people that there is something strange about the weather caused by an invisible trace gas. It also happens when someone loses an election (which his own campaign data team had told him he was going to lose) but decides instead to pretend that it was somehow stolen, leading to a two year sequence of crazy allegations, each one of them instantly believed by the faithful until abandoned by the next story, and the next, and the next…..

Ask not for whom the Full Retard bell tolls. It tolls for thee.

Biden is not trying to reduce oil and gas production. He is complaining about the high profit margins that oil and gas producers are collecting at this time with very high prices. That is something that Democrats do every time oil and gas prices are high … but I don’t recall Democrats ever complaining about low oil and gas prices that cause producers to cut back production and in some cases even go out of business altogether. It wasn’t that long ago – 2020 to be exact – that that was the case.

Oil and gas producers do in fact make very high profits when prices are high .. and then they get killed whenever oil and gas prices are low.

Oil and gas prices are extremely volatile, and have been so ever since the 1973 middle east OPEC oil embargo. Lefties bitch about the high end of the cycle, but never bitch about the low end of the cycle. But those who are in the oil and gas business have to take the bad with the good.

Prices will come down again, it is just as inevitable as when prices are low they will go up again. But a lot of people with extremely short memories act as if wherever the prices are at any moment, they will stay forever.

Biden is not trying to reduce oil and gas production.”
Are you KIDDING?
After merely one month in office, the Biden Administration has already had a profound impact on the oil and gas industry. Having promised to prioritize climate change on the campaign trail, President Biden has taken swift action, signing executive orders aimed at everything from curbing emissions to environmental justice.
While the Biden Administration’s 60-day halt on new oil and gas leases on federal lands and the cancellation of the Keystone XL Pipeline have received the majority of press coverage, the Administration’s actions have also had both direct and indirect impacts on oil and gas companies. These actions include: (1) an order directing federal agencies to eliminate subsidies for fossil fuels; (2) reversing the Trump Administration’s rollback on methane regulations; and (3) staffing the SEC in preparation to mandate ESG and climate disclosures. While these changes primarily aim to reduce the nation’s carbon footprint, they will also add an additional layer of regulations for oil and gas operations and will sharpen public attention on oil and gas companies.”

You need to pay more attention to his executive orders that have emasculated the energy business. Throttling supplies to force higher energy prices is the stated goal of this insane administration since they are stupid about climate change and think killing American prosperity will ‘fix’ the climate. Reduced prosperity will certainly decrease CO2 emissions, but even if the IPCC was correct about the magnitude of the effect of CO2 emissions, and they couldn’t be more wrong, destroying the American economy will only affect indoor temperatures as people can no longer afford to heat and cool their homes.

Where is the hard, empirical evidence that reduced anthro’ emissions result in a decline of even the rate of increase of CO2? The IPCC bases its claims on models that are known to run too warm.

Can Steven Chu have a do-over?

President Barack Obama’s Energy secretary unwittingly created a durable GOP talking point in September 2008 when he talked to The Wall Street Journal about the benefits of having gasoline prices rise over 15 years to encourage energy efficiency.

“Somehow,” Chu said, “we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.”

At the time Chu said that he was not yet Obama’s Energy secretary.
So why did Obama choose him?
PS After he was, he refused to backdown on the comment.”

Duane, you are wrong on several issues. Under the Trump Administration the US was a net EXPORTER of petroleum, under the Biden Administration the US is begging the Saudis to increase their production so the US can import some more. This was the effect of the Biden Administration, on day 1, attacking the evil carbon, on several fronts. This reckless attack introduced a modification into the old norm: price is controlled by supply and demand, now it it’s : price is controlled by supply, demand, and risk of further adverse attacks.

Biden is a fanatic about killing the oil and gas industry.

I think he is a True Believer that CO2 is Evil and Harmful. So he is not going to make any attempt to produce more oil and gas, which would reduce prices. In fact, reducing the price of oil and gas is about the only way to pull the economy out of the recession it is headed into.

Reasonable prices for gasoline and diesel are some of the most important things that keep our economy functioning. When the prices for gasoline and diesel get out of whack, the economy goes into a tailspin, like we are doing now.

The cure is a “Project Warpspeed” applied to producing as much U.S. oil and gas as possible, as soon as possible. This increased supply will lower the price globally. The arguments that U.S. oil will have no effect on price is ridiculous. The more supply, the cheaper the price.

Unfortunately, Joe Biden is locked into his war on oil and gas for whatever reason, and will not take one of the only steps he can take to make it better for the American people by getting the price of gasoline and diesel back down to former levels.

The U.S. consumer is spending $700 million per day more on gasoline today than they were spending a year ago. That’s $700 million per day that is not being spent on other things in our economy. This will lead to a reduction in economic activity, perhaps a very large reduction, if this current gasoline price situtation is allowed to continue, and it looks like Joe Biden is going to continue it.

So at least six more months of Climate Change/War on Oil and Gas from Joe Biden. So the economy keeps tanking.

Maybe we can get some positive changes from the new Congress in January 2023.

The margins are the same as historically. When you make a 7% margin on a $100 sale, you make $7. When you make a $7 margin on a $400 sale, you make $28.

Biden’s actions have caused energy – and food, and housing, and medical – costs to skyrocket. Same margin on an increasing product price means increasing dollars.

There’s no gouging, there’s no profiteering. There’s the same margin.

Or do you argue they’re only allowed to make a certain amount of dollars per year, independent of the actual revenues generated? A profit control?

3. Biden killed the Keystone XL pipeline and put environmental rules in place making any new pipeline much more difficult.

4. Biden established new methane emission rules for oil and gas production.

Methane is produced mainly in wetlands, secondarily by termites and domestic and wild ruminants, and warming-induced releases from permafrost. Human ‘sanitary’ landfills and sewage treatment plants are another source. All of these ‘swamp’ (please pardon the pun) the losses from gas and crude oil production that isn’t flared off.

It would appear to me that the new rules will have an unmeasurable effect on the atmospheric growth of methane, but it will increase the compliance costs for producers and provide logistical barriers to producers in this time of supply line problems. Thus, I think that the actual point is not to reduce methane, but to harass oil and gas companies.

This is, he no longer has any real relevance to current governmental affairs, but is useful to trot-out from time to time to refresh the propaganda surrounding the Democratic Party’s “historic” accomplishments, such as ObamaCare.

Yes, the cost of crude oil is the main driving force for fuel prices, BUT Biden’s “we are going to get rid of fossil fuels” is driving up the cost of crude!

Biden often cites the Russia-Ukraine War, and the loss of a few percent of Russian crude as the cause of fuel prices rising, BUT Biden continues to do everything possible to rid all crude oil from society.

Under Biden’s goal and actions to restrict the supply of oil to be manufactured, while demand is increasing for the products manufactured from crude oil, refineries are SUPPOSED to be making outlandish profits!

Biden must be a good guy so why pick on something so insignificant as his view on oil and gas?

Not to mention that he’s become such a complete laughingstock around the world – how did it come to this, that America and its President would be treated as a joke rather than respected?

When people discover that they can vote themselves bread and circuses, then indeed, they will vote themselves bread and circuses.

They’re getting plenty of circuses, but I think they forgot about the bread.

Folks, every incompetence we are seeing vis-a-vis energy was run once already in 1930s Soviet Union under the label “Lysenkoism and plant genetics.”

An article in the Atlantic by Sam Kean, December 19, 2017 told the essential elements of the Lysenko story. Here is the background paragraph.

Officials eventually put Lysenko in charge of Soviet agriculture in the 1930s. The only problem was, he had batty scientific ideas. In particular, he loathed genetics. Although a young field, genetics advanced rapidly in the 1910s and 1920s; the first Nobel Prize for work in genetics was awarded in 1933. And especially in that era, genetics emphasized fixed traits: Plants and animals have stable characteristics, encoded as genes, which they pass down to their children. Although nominally a biologist, Lysenko considered such ideas reactionary and evil, since he saw them as reinforcing the status quo and denying all capacity for change. (He in fact denied that genes existed.)

Lysenko insisted upon, and reinforced through politics, his ideas that crops could be made to grow in impossible conditions. The result was famine, or prolonged famine, and the deaths of tens of millions of people.

Note that Democrats hate the current status with regard to fossil fuels. It is mainly an ideological hatred. They wish to force a profound change, no matter how impossible. What the average westerner doesn’t understand is the potential for economic ruin, and starvation.

Good luck to us all.

Under Lysenko, genuine and productive Russian geneticists such as Vavilov were persecuted and even murdered. Russian genetics has never recovered.

Read “Seizing maize and deja vu” by Cathy Buckle in Zimbabwe on the success of Maxism today. It makes me want to cry. (my emphasis)

“Almost everything going into the supermarket trolley now is at least Z$500. Even a loaf of bread is just under that price. It’s all so absurd when the highest bank note here is Z$100 and you need five of them just to buy a loaf of bread.” (my emphasis)

Under “Zimbabwe…from bread basket to bare shelves” in Biznews dot com

To put this into perspective Cathy wrote in February:
“when the poverty datum line is ZW$90,000 a month and a teacher’s salary is ZW$20,000, there’s a big, big problem and when the exchange rate from US dollars to Zimbabwe dollars is set by government at an unrealistically low rate teachers’ salaries are going down every single month.”

Of course, Joe Biden does have the option of following Jimmy Carter and instituting a “Windfall Profits Tax”. Rarely mentioned is that the federal government made almost nothing under Jimmy Carter.

In April 1980, the Carter Administration enacted the Crude Oil Windfall Profit Tax, which created an excise tax on domestic oil production and pulled in $80 billion in gross revenue before it was repealed in 1988.

In one of Faux Joe Xiden’s first speeches as a candidate he stated that people who voted for Trump have to be punished, every action he has taken as President has punished America. Promise kept!

Biden and the whole Democrat Party including the Leftwing Media are at war with the people of the United States. What we are seeing now and have been seeing since Trump was elected, is the Democrats attempting to take control of the United States. They are using every means, legal and illegal/immoral, to make their powergrab successful. Now they are running a Sham Show Trial attacking President Trump and all his 75 million supporters.

The Democrats have tried to destroy Trump with two sham Impeachment trials, a sham Special Counsel investigation and now they are turning Congress into a Kangaroo Court.

This is what dictators do. They use the power of the government to oust their political opponents. That’s what is happening now in front of our eyes.

We, the free people of the United States are in a war with the Elites of the Democrat Party.

They want to take all our freedoms away from us. We can’t let them do that. First, we have to realize we really are in a war for our personal freedoms. It’s not just a joke or a temporary aberration. These crazy, radical Democrats are very serious about gaining political power and keeping it in perpetuity. We can’t allow that to happen, either. You see the results of their rule so far, don’t you? You want more of this? I didn’t think so. Vote these dangerous fools out of office.

When the Federal government mandated CAFE standards they got into the business of automotive design and marketing. That they would have eventually had to subsidize the automobile companies was at that point a foregone conclusion.

As the late, Great, Ronald Reagan said about governmental instincts, ‘If it moves, tax it; if it keeps moving, regulate it; and, if it stops moving, subsidise it’.

Word is that Biden is now begging “big oil” to turn on the taps and their answer is: ‘It doesn’t work that way.’

Joe Biden has dementia Period. The administration, the bureaucracy behind him is responsible for what’s going on and it’s deliberate. It’s the Build Back Better scheme in motion.

Joe Biden just signs what’s is put in front of him and is the fall guy for what’s going wrong.

The irony is that curtailing the use of fossil fuels will have no significant effect on climate. Average global WV (as TPW) has been accurately measured (RMS error 1 kg/m^2) Jan 1988 thru Dec 2021. It has been increasing 1.44% per decade. The increase is substantially more than possible from just planet warming (Sect 7 at https://watervaporandwarming.blogspot.com ) (Graph for WV increase calculated from HadCRUT5 temperatures shown here). Humanity’s contribution to increasing WV is primarily (about 90%) from increasing irrigation (Sect 6). WV molecules have been increasing 7 times faster than CO2 molecules (Sect 3). Temperature increases from WV increase and CO2 increase are in parallel, not series. The increase from WV is greater which renders the smaller increase that would have occurred from the increase in CO2 molecules irrelevant.

Interesting comments on Bidens election and how protective people are over their election of an obvious disaster for the US and the rest of the world.

to quote from another interview — “Somebody is on the path to try to destroy America,” Catsimatidis concluded.
All of this goes to my point that today’s collapse is intentional. This destruction in living standards is too well planned to be by accident. We’re in a midst of a controlled demolition of the global society–not just America’s; one with the intention of making things so bad that the masses are browbeaten into accepting ANY alternative that is laid down before them, no matter how draconian or tyrannical, because at the end of the day, anything is preferable to starvation.
And for those still believing that we live in a democracy and can, in turn, alter the course of events, then get this administration to stop paying over the odds for foreign oil and instead “turn on the spigots in the US”, as Catsimatidis puts it. Open the veins of the nation, get the energy flowing again, and in doing so American’s will see their inflation woes vanish almost overnight.

Biden can fix it – in Australia we had Kevein07 do the same to us and labor spent 11 years out of office. The same will happen to democrats if they cant get him to fix it.

Biden’s “war” on this and “war” on that keep increasing. The last time I heard so many “wars” from a sitting president was when Biden was Obama’s VP.
