Climate change was discussed heavily at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos. In the view of our global “leaders,” climate action must take place now to avoid an impending catastrophe. Speakers included John Kerry, Al Gore, and Bill Gates.
There is no climate catastrophe. Extreme weather events are not becoming more frequent nor more severe, food production is soaring year after year, and temperatures are well within historical norms. The elites at Davos desire to use climate change to change the world for their benefit. They’re not trying to protect you.

Davos is all about the elitist concept that they are born booted and spurred, and the rest of us are born with saddles to protect their lives, maximize their liberty, and their pursuit of happiness. Sacrifices are for the peasants.

You made two claims which should be verified.
Please show data which shows extreme weather events are becoming more frequent and more severe. You made the claim. It is your responsibility to provide the data which supports the claim. I have no obligation to debunk the claim.
Any assertion which is made without supporting data can be discarded on that same basis.
Absolutely right, TonyL. And to go further, even if extreme weather events were getting worse, there is the question of how much of that worsening is caused by human activities. Moreover, should we human beings not be presumed innocent until proven guilty? Should not the burden of proof always be on those, like Griff, that want to force others to change the way they live?

Where do you stand on woke governments’ deliberate policy to damage the fossil fuel industry (promoting divestiture, anti-industry regs, preventing fracking, restricting resource lands, cancelling pipeline projects, etc) leading to horrific inflation of the global economy (it effects poor nations around the world, too)?
You’ve probably just learned, like the empty government heads, that it takes natural gas to make nitrogen fertilizer in quantity and cheaply enough to feed the world. Your grocers’ shelves are almost empty and prices are doubling for what remains. You obviously can afford to pay, but what about the millions of your own citizens who face starvation and the cold this coming winter? What about shuttered industries that provided employment for them? And what do you say about the effect of gov action that made indispensable back up energy unavailable for making energy from wind and sun work except at sky high prices? Oh I’m sure you will be okay but what about half your fellow citizens who were already impoverished before this recent action hy your empty headed governors?
Before answering, Think if your gov is and has been right in the choices they made for the citizens wellbeing, safety and prospects for the future.
