COP27 Sharm El-Sheikh to Open Early

Essay by Eric Worrall

h/t Dr. Willie Soon – Egyptian COP27 organisers have successfully convinced the UN to start COP27 a day early, to allow delegates additional time to cruise the night scene at Sharm El-Sheikh build momentum for a new climate agreement.

INFORMATION NOTE

Early opening of the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP 27/CMP 17/CMA 4
Sharm el-Sheikh, Arab Republic of Egypt

On 24 May 2022, the Bureau of the Conference of the Parties (COP), the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP) and the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement (CMA) met to consider a proposal by the incoming Presidency of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Sharm el-Sheikh to advance the opening of the conference to provide additional time to allow for the participation of Heads of State and Government with a view to building political support to enhance climate action and support while also allowing work to advance.

I hereby inform Parties and observer States to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement, United Nations organizations, and intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations admitted as observers that COP 27, CMP 17 and CMA 4 will open on Sunday, 6 November 2022, in Sharm el-Sheikh, Arab Republic of Egypt. The revised dates of the conference are therefore 6 – 18 November 2022.

The secretariat is liaising with the host country on logistical arrangements for the sessions regarding the new opening date, including pre-sessional and preparatory meetings to be held prior to the conference.

Further information on the conference will be communicated in due course. Yours sincerely,

(Signed by)

Patricia Espinosa

Doesn’t your heart go out to those hard working government funded delegates? Thanks to this extension, those hard working representatives will have to ignore the legendary hedonistic pleasures of Sharm el-Sheikh for one entire additional day, while they focus on negotiating new climate agreements.

My prediction – this will not be the last COP27 conference extension. I mean they need the extra time, right?

The wheat shortage will hit Egypt in July, unless ports deal can be brokered as Lithuania has suggested. The party (COP27) isn’t until November. Going to be ugly.

What is the action required from this post? File a complaint with the UN on abuse of funds? What? if it is just a rant, skip it.

So your suggestion is to file a complaint with the organization that is actually abusing the funds?

Thanks, but no thanks. I will stick to ranting – that has at least a small chance of swaying hearts and minds of people to quit voting for the politician that support sending funds to these parasitic governing organizations.

The action required is indignation from hypocrisy. If you don’t like it, just be more selective regarding those you go along with.

What action?

Point out constantly to all within our professional and social circles that COP has nothing to do with Climate(tm), achieves nothing, achieves nothing that could not be done using online communication methods and is effectively a massive excuse to have a good holiday.

COP discredits itself. We just remind people.

My kind of conference. My kind of luxury resort vacation spot.
Anybody who ever thought big flashy international conferences were anything else is just an NPC, (a non-player character, preprogrammed, dumb).

A second example, if you like, This from Davos, Switzerland:
World Health Organization (WHO)
The world leaders are about to break for a lunch of
fresh Atlantic crab and Spanish pork, followed by duck
and the worlds best cod from a sustainable farm in
Norway. When we resume we will be discussing
freedom of speech and how it could be reformed.

Well, How About That!
The World Health Organization takes upon itself the mission to “reform” freedom of speech. There seems to be something about freedom of speech that the WHO’s Chinese overlords just do not like.

And of course they all live it up on taxpayer (NPC) expense.

The whole AGW cabal operates on their own wants and needs. Being 100% supported by the WEF they can do, say, and get away with anything they want. The WEF is quickly becoming the backbone of One World Government and needs to be called out and stopped.

COP27 a day early, to allow delegates additional time to cruise the night scene at Sharm El-Sheikh

Not to worry. Egypt is an Islamic country with a large population of devout Muslims.

The COP27 wokeista organizing committee and the delegates will want and need to honor their host culture.

So, the rules will be no alcoholic drinks and burqa jibab for all the female delegates. Islamically correct beatings will be applied to all rule-breakers.

The delegates will feel ever so virtuous.

For the past 28 years the advocates for de-energising fossil fuel based society, have been annually meeting up in venues around the world. Their openly expressed wish, is to reduce the use of fossil fuels and thus reduce the release of CO2 into the atmosphere. Don’t bother to ask why.
The money already spent on those gatherings needs to be audited. We need to establish if the world’s tax payers have received value for money.

Those attending these annual gatherings of the state funded professional anxiety spreading community, are numbered in the tens of thousands….that’s tens of thousands every year.
So how well have the anxiety team done, over the last three decades? They have been very active in their reduction of fossil fuel use, obviously, so what has their mission demanding the reduction of CO2 achieved?
Since these annual gatherings of the anxious began, the use of fossil fuels has increased across the globe. The rise in CO2 continues as if it is unrelated to anything the worthies at the COP gatherings say or do.
Since the last COP in Glasgow just a few months ago, Germany the Green Energy poster child of Europe has decided to reopen its coal fired power stations and is investing urgently in building liquified gas port facilities and storage. China is building more coal burning power plants this year alone, than Britain had in total during its reign as the worlds industrial power. India is working hard to equal China’s coal consumption.
So far it looks as though the COP gatherings achieve absolutely nothing of their stated aims.
It merits the question. If you have done something 27 times and the evidence shows it does not work, why do you keep doing it?
Apparently Einstein’s definition of madness was; “Doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome”.
Those of us grateful for the benefits fossil fuel has brought to humanity, are thankful the Climate Alarmists spend so much of their activity simply wasting their time, achieving nothing….if only they were spending their own money, then that would be perfect.

The World will be deep into a global food crisis by November. Remember Arab Spring? Russia’s War on Ukraine may still be on-going, with Russia oil and gas maybe shutoff for the EU. Oil and natural gas prices will be continuing an upward march under supply constraints.
Sharm elSheikh is in Egypt of course, but at the tip of Sinai peninsula far from hungry millions in Cairo. Egypt will be in turmoil, civil unrest by then. The image of UN climate warriors living large while the food riots rage will be in your face hypocrisy for the UN.
The coming Northern Hemisphere winter will be on everyone’s minds as Europe’s natural gas supplies shortages are laid bare.
In US, Democrats will likely lose the Congress badly on November 2. The US will likely be in a recession by the end of the Q3 (Sept 30). China may be rattling the Taiwan seizure war drums again by then too.

Expect something unexpected. Politicians will see the poor optics of this COP. Plus world events can and will shift the UNFCCC’s prospects for continuing the climate scam.

I suspect that Ukraine has been a teachable moment for China in that modern missiles and drones can seriously level the field. I would expect their strategy to shift accordingly – perhaps to political and economic undermining of Taiwan, rather than a direct military assault.
