Conflict in Ukraine Used to Push Green Agenda

Morano on Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson Tonight: “They know the Green New Deal won’t pass…The solution to the Russian invasion is the same solution to climate change, it happened to be the same solution to COVID too — which is more working from home, less driving, less freedom, more restrictions on your liberty. Regardless of the crisis, it always empowers the administrative state, the bureaucrats, and those in power. …

They are going to rule by emergency declaration, by crisis management. This is how they want to do it. The COVID emergency declaration gave us, particularly in blue states, some red states, every governor became a dictator virtually overnight as they imposed whatever mandate they felt like. Whether it was masks, kids, vaccine passports, you name it, they could do it because they were empowered.”

Rough Transcript:

Tucker Carlson: There’s a reason they are focused on Ukraine and it’s to give you the Green New Deal whether you want it or not. Marc Morano is the author of “Green Fraud: Why the Green New Deal is Even Worse than you think. He joins us tonight.

Marc, thanks so much for coming on. You’ve written and thought so much and reported so much about the Green New Deal. No chance Congress would ever pass anything like that because nobody wants it, but a war into which we are now being drawn because of their policies is a perfect cover for giving us the Green New Deal whether we want it or not.

>> Marc Morano: Yes, it is. They introduced the green new deal in Congress and never scheduled hearings, votes, there were no town halls, there were no constituent services. No one wanted, they didn’t want to vote on it. They didn’t need a vote. Biden declared that every cabinet agency would be a climate agency. One of the biggest things about our energy that a lot of people miss is the defunding of our energy industry. Through the banking system, through the SEC. They are now forcing climate disclosures on everyone. They now have their claws — federally regulators — in every aspect of pretty much of any business going forward if this keeps up, without a vote of Congress. That’s what they’re looking for.

And they know the Green New Deal won’t pass. The Covid lockdowns actually gave them many aspects of the Green New Deal with the immediate lockdowns, but now going forward, they are doubling down, using the Russian invasion.

The solution to the Russian invasion is the same solution to climate change, it happened to be the same solution to COVID too — which is more working from home, less driving, less freedom, more restrictions on your liberty. Regardless of the crisis, it always empowers the administrative state, the bureaucrats, and those in power.

>> Tucker Carlson: That may be the point of the crisis is to do that and this is not a civics show but I hear the word “democracy” roll off the tongues of virtually every authoritarian in Washington. Is this how democracy works? You use a diversion to get massive societal changes around the legislature and impose them by force? Is that what democracy is?

>> Marc Morano: No. What they’ve decided as they are going to rule by emergency declaration, by crisis management. This is how they want to do it. The COVID emergency declaration gave us, particularly in blue states, some red states, every governor became a dictator virtually overnight as they imposed whatever mandate they felt like. Whether it was masks, kids, vaccine passports, you name it, they could do it because they were empowered.

Look back in history, the fall of the Roman Republic into an empire was due to the abuse of emergency powers. So was the centralization of power in the middle ages.  The German republic, 1933, 12-year (state of emergency) declaration in Germany led to of course all the abuses in Germany.

Now we’ve got the Patriot Act,(due to 9/11’s 2001 Declaration of National Emergency), through this kind of crisis management. Now they are using, right after the Covid crisis, they’re going to pile on with this. People would not volunteer to give up their cars, or their SUVs. But now you have reports like International Energy Agency calling for stopping the driving of cars on Sunday, they want to do odd/even license plates for when you can drive, lowering speed limits, SUV taxes. Because we are in this energy crisis. They are achieving policies that they could never get through the elections.

>> Tucker Carlson: The people who will tell you the oceans are rising are buying $30 million houses on the beach. I don’t believe you anymore!
[Laughs] Marc Morano, we are out of time but I appreciate you coming on.

>> Marc Morano: Thanks, Tucker.

But the left is working on that too. The “results” of the November 2022 elections will tell us just how successful they have been on improving the methods that were used to install Joe Biden in the White House.

Many states passed laws putting firewalls in place to prevent exactly the kind of misbehavior that occurred in 2020 from happening again. And the leftists are apoplectic about it, and calling them “voter suppression laws”.. How many times have we heard that gaslighting about the voter security laws and measures now? How many times??

But the left is working on that too…

Consider Disney vs DeSantis – or, to put it more accurately, Disney vs democracy – where the woke set is begging a multi-billion-dollar corporation to do everything in its power to stymie a bill drawn up by a governor elected into power by four million Floridians. ‘Capitalism, please save us from the masses!’ – this, folks, is where the left is at.”

Disney should tread carefully. The legislature has taken note of the nonsense from the company and has proposed eliminating the special tax district that makes Disney’s compound a government unto itself. (not to mention shields a lot of their property from taxation.) That could cost the company billions.

It should be obvious by now that the Republicans are never going to make their “stolen election” charge stick with anyone that matters. The only option, seems to me, is to play the game the same way the Democrats are playing it and engage in all the same fraudulent voting practices. Go ahead, I’ll watch.

He’s right. It’s beating on a dead horse. Or donkey, take your pick.

We lost the senate because of too much harping on the stolen election. People stayed home and didn’t vote, because what’s the use? Trump told them their votes wouldn’t count, or at least that was the spin.

Our focus needs to be on ensuring it doesn’t happen again. The allegations, while unproven, are entirely plausible. We need to make sure it can’t happen.

We can’t undo the election. We can’t get a do-over. The best way in life to handle problems is to focus on things we can change instead of things we can’t.

It’s obvious there is no remedy for the 2016 election. There are no do-overs.

Election laws were ignored and unconstitutionally changed, that is, no law was passed to authorize these changes.

The biggest fraud involved media cover-ups. big media and big tech decided to hide facts from the public and virtually disappear anybody who tried to publish things they didn’t want the public to know, e.g., the Hunter Biden laptop bombshell and stories about the Biden crime family.

Mostly what I’ve learned is our elections are sloppy, integrity measures are poor and poll workers are not well trained, to say the least.

IMO, there should be civil fines and criminal penalties for misconducting an election, such as sending observers home and restarting counting with no observers present.

Mr. .1: You haven’t looked. But you don’t need to look at the content of Hunter’s laptop to know that 51 “intel” professionals signed a letter saying it was russian disinformation, before THEY knew anything at all (about the contents or, well, anything). That letter was used by Biden himself, as well as all information sources, to censure a true story. What did you glean from that?

J.P. Mac Isaac, the computer repair guy gave the Hunter Biden laptop to the FBI in Dec, 2019 – 11 months before the election. Everyone now knows it was authentic and damning and documents clear corruption involving the entire Biden family. But somehow the FBI was unable to authenticate it or conduct any investigation. In this case I’m willing to attribute the FBI’s failure to corruption and malice rather than incompetence.

The New York Post published extensive articles in October 2020 detailing the most serious illegal activities involving Joe & family and was banned by Facebook and Twitter for it. The cover-up conspiracy involving social media, MSM the FBI, DOJ and 51 former CIA and Intel operatives undoubtedly cost Trump the election. But liberals and progressives are perfectly okay with this as, for them, the ends always justify the means and to hell with the law.

First of all, the election for President occurred on Novemebr 5, 2019, NOT in 2020! In December of 2020, the FBI took possesion of Hunter Biden’s laptop; he did not ‘give’ it to them! The laptop’s existence was already KNOWN before the election! The media did everything in it’s collective power to suppress the news and claimed it was all just ‘Russian propaganda’, or FAKA news, something they were WELL versed in! ALL of this is well documented, now, and a few simple searches will reveal the true story. Hint: Do NOT use Google for your searching! I recommend either DuckDuckGo or, better yet, the Brave search engine. Google is complicit in the cover up.

The first thing we need to do is fix the voter registration process. The big fraud is registering voters. Motor Voter needs to go and registration must include proof of citizenship. Some states offer automatic voter registration. That practice must be outlawed.

Tom.1

Each state sets its own rules, which must pass Constitution muster, but that’s it. Congress or SCOTUS is not going to be able to help you. You just need to work at the state level within the existing political system to get it done, if you can.

jeffery p
Reply to  Tom.1

Strangely enough, Motor Voter takes precedence over state law. Witness Kansas. The Secretary of State pushed through reforms requiring voters to prove identity and citizenship. Scotus threw out those laws because they violated the Federal Motor Voter laws.

Then get the Secretary of State to have a color coded background in their picture that designates their eligibility to vote by proving identity and citizenship.

One of the things that Republicans should do when they want to make voter registration more secure is to provide assistance to meet any new requirements such as photo ID. In other words, the government and the party should help people get their photo ID or birth certificate. The county clerk’s office would have the responsibility for making sure people who qualify for a photo ID get one that shows if they are eligible to vote or not. The party could do voter registration drives where they help people to do the same. This would help mitigate against claims of voter suppression.

This help already occurs in most states. It is hard to imagine what else Georgia could do that they already have not done to make formal ID available.
In SB202 they proposed SIX FORMS OF IDENTIFICATION including your utility bill! (Try getting on a Delta flight with a water bill.)
Yet Abrams has the gall to call this suppression.

The answer as noted below is for state legislatures to have the courage to pass valid voter integrity laws, most of which would only bring us back to pre Nov 2020!

The last thing the WEF wanted was a strong willed President in the White House because that would stop their ability to subvert the democratic process of western politics.
The fact the Biden Presidency has a cognitively challenged Commander in Chief heading it up and an intellectually challenged Vice President as back up, is the perfect blend for the ‘One World’ WEF program to be advanced.
To those who are looking to the mid term elections as a route out of this nightmare, be very aware. The powers bringing this totalitarian construct to your door will do everything to stop your vote counting against them….
As one of the greatest totalitarians once said when asked by a journalist, (paraphrasing)

One of the big concerns surrounding the Green New Deal is securing sufficient Lithium supplies to provide for all the EV batteries which will be required. This is where the Baltic states come in.
To that end, the Pentagon is finalizing plans for the Biden administration to invade the Baltic country of Lithuania to secure their Lithium supplies against Russian interference. At the same time, my sources say there is no latest word on the Biden administration’s plans to invade Estonia to secure the world’s Estrogen supply.

At the UN it seems they believed that we [in Europe at least] were ‘post-history’ and that all world leaders had similar views and aims etc. And then they noticed Putin was refusing to go down the woke route – the most heinous of sins. Biden said at the outset a minor incursion was acceptable and in any event Nato wasn’t going to get involved. What an utter weasel.

Our Labour party was pushing not for fracking and expansion in the North Sea, but for….(crisis hats on)… rationing.

“Labour has suggested the UK should follow EU countries and ration oil and gas supplies to avoid a showdown with Vladimir Putin.

“Shadow Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds hinted the UK should follow suit, before making a a complete U-turn.

“We should be making those plans and the Government should be preparing, not necessarily in public, for that situation”, and insisted the Government should stop “shopping from one authoritarian regime to the next for fossil fuels”.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/labour-suggests-uk-should-ration-26622609

The UK has plenty of resources, but the elites don’t want to remove them from the ground. On cue we have the idiotic middle class numpties from XR/Just Stop Oil blocking oil installations.

“More than 100 people have been arrested as climate change protesters continued to block UK oil terminals as part of a campaign to disrupt the fossil fuel industry.

Supporters of Just Stop Oil began the action in the early hours of Friday morning at refineries near London, Birmingham and Southampton by climbing on to tankers and gluing themselves to roads.”

https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2022/apr/02/protesters-continue-block-uk-terminals-arrests-just-stop-oil

Clearly for some, a cost of living crisis coupled with an energy crisis is a vague and fuzzy concept.

Perhaps it started earlier but it certainly got going with Lincoln. Make a declaration of extra ordinary circumstances and set aside inconvenient Constitutional limitations to create new rules that are contrary to the compact between the people and the state. The new rules are restrictions that never go away because the emergency is never officially recognized as over.

Under FDR declarations of emergency really got going. New regulations that become forever restrictions on liberty were, and still are, simply put in place and, whenever necessary, brutally enforced until most of the people are so conditions they stop noticing that things were once different.

None of the many declarations of emergency since the ‘Great Depression’ have never been ended or set aside. To do so would annul so much of current law that most of today’s Federal power would disappear. Those laws and regulations absolutely depend upon the declarations of emergency to have any semblance of legitimacy. Those in power will never willingly give up those excuses to use whatever force they need to maintain what they want

Correct. Per Wikipedia:

‘From the enactment of the National Emergencies Act in 1976 until December 2021, 77 emergencies have been declared; 30 have expired and another 41 are currently in effect, each having been renewed annually by the president.’

Up until 2006, we were still paying excise taxes related to the Spanish-American War (1898). As inferred in the head article, war really is the health of the state.

CHABLIS, France (AP) — French vintners are lighting candles to thaw their grapevines to save them from a late frost following a winter warm spell, a temperature swing that is threatening fruit crops in multiple countries.

Meanwhile on the other side of the big pond:
“Elon Musk has taken a $2.9bn (£2.2bn) stake in Twitter, sending shares in the social media website soaring by more than a quarter in pre-market trading.”

Hmmm. That could be an interesting development, if true. I seem to recall that Musk has been at odds with twitter at times. Hostile takeover, anyone?

This is the reason.

Weather: Coldest night since 1947 for the month of April

The frost caused further damage to the holdings of winegrowers and arboriculturists during the night of Sunday April 3 to Monday April 4. But the damage seems limited, compared to that of the historic 2021 freeze.

From Alsace to the Tarn, the night from Sunday April 3 to Monday April 4 was a long one for winegrowers and arboriculturists, who spent hours fighting against the frost. Temperatures dropped very low for the third night in a row, especially over a wide swath of Alsace in southwestern France. It was the night that recorded the coldest temperatures for the month of April since 1947, specifies Météo France. It was in Champagne where it was coldest, with -9 degrees recorded in places.

Degrees in this case are Centigrade

Apparently the Spanish solved the problem of nighttime PV power. Maybe Macron could order in some of that to save the wine.

Not only is the Russian invasion of Ukraine being used to push through the Green Nude Eel, but it is being used to scapegoat Putin and Russia for high gas prices and high inflation, particularly at the grocery store.

Fats hurt, don’t they!
Point out something that Carlson said in that broadcast that was in error.

As an opinion show host he delivers his thoughts in an obviously entertaining manner, but his opinion is pretty much based on underlying facts.

Contrast Tucker with what gets spewed on Left wing “opinion” shows which often are based on debunked hoaxes (Charlottesville, Russian collusion etc.)

Used to watch both Fox and MSNBC or CNN to get a broader perspective. Stopped watching MSNBC many years ago as it was clear that they were promoting their (mostly false) narrative with horribly inaccurate reporting like Michael Brown – Ferguson, MS. Stopped watching CNN more recently after they ran the obviously fake story about Ivermectin overdoses overwhelming hospitals. It was clear that they had an agenda and they would stoop to telling lies that were immediately obvious to anyone with half a brain in order to promote it. Fox is not without its faults, but it is far better than the others.

It’s shocking that there are still some people who are so stupid, like DuhWayne, that they can’t see the fundamental dishonesty in the liberal media.

Duane can’t be defending the indefensible LCS class of ships anymore, but has to rant about something. His stance has to be ridiculous, though, so lashing out at Tucker Carlson makes perfect sense!

Everything, anything is used to push the green agenda. No real news here.

The Texas power grid fails because of renewables? Need more renewables urgently!

Electricity prices are skyrocketing because of the cost of renewables? Need more renewables! (After all, it’s free energy.)

Green energy can’t meet demand or provide power 24*7 when needed? Need more green energy!

“What they’ve decided as they are going to rule by emergency declaration, by crisis management.”

There are 41 “national emergency” orders currently in effect, going back as far as 1979. 43 years seems a bit long for an “emergency”.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_national_emergencies_in_the_United_States

You could debate whether some of these should be things we’re doing – but are they really “emergencies”? What sort of emergency goes on for decades?

The less sense it makes the more they push it because how can anyone argue with an emergency that is real or not, no matter the connection between emergency and their power to deal with it.

Citizens have a very important choice to make. Sit back and watch the decline in civil rights, democratic standards and a merit-based economy where effort equals success, or fight for what matters continuously. Speak up not just for the duration of elections but every day when you see the malevolent hand of progressive politics slipping into your life. Vote and get others who care about sustaining civil society to vote. Communicate to elected individuals continuously and furiously when they fail to defend individual rights.

It’s extremely important to not let the deceivers make you fearful of phantoms – you won’t make clear-headed decisions in a state of fear. Just remember the greatest threat is not the made up crises they advertise every day but rather the hidden agenda of those stoking fear and what it means for your future life and that of your children and grandchildren.

Progressives appear to be history illiterate, fully intent on social sabotage or both. If they understood history they would understand that the rules they want to impose on democratic nations are the exact formula for eventual decay and national collapse. If they do understand and continue their march to socialism and central autocratic power then they clearly intend to bring about the downfall of society. Regardless of their reasoning they act only for their self interests not for those of society.

The last few years in Europe and the US should make this abundantly clear. Any Rand told us, George Orwell told us, the history of USSR, Maoist China, Venezuela and a multitude of other autocratic centrally planned nations told us, were we listening?
