To be fair, maybe it was just a clumsy CBS studio edit, splicing current news with a segment which had been recorded earlier. But it made me laugh.

Climate change might be capable of setting off volcanoes. Just go from an ice age to a warm interval, and the isostatic rebound could scramble plate tectpnics enough to give magma a chance to cause trouble. We – and the magma – should be used to that by now. But Antarctica has volcanoes under the ice, so going back to glaciers won’t help.

The weak vaccine response also makes it much more likely that various type of RNA can get produced that cause many other problems, such as fatal heart disease and maybe even pass it on to other people.
The whole Covid problem has been misinterpreted, misdirected, and many problems have been hidden or misrepresented- just causing huge misinterpretations and conclusions.

Major volcanoes (some VEI5 eruptions like El Chichon 1982 and most VEI6 events like Pinatubo 1991+) cause significant (~0.5C) global cooling – but industrial emission and smaller volcanoes don’t have much impact. Even Mt. St. Helens (VEI5, 1980) did not have much cooling impact because it blew mostly sideways, not up into the stratosphere.
The urban myth that the shots “prevent death and severe disease” is simply not true. New data from the UK shows that the opposite is true. Also, Canadian officials accidentally posted data showing that about 1/2 of their vaxxed C-19 deaths had actually been vaxxed. Any person that died of C-19 within two weeks of ANY of the shots (including booster) were counted as unvaxxed. I suspect this type of data lying is being done in US as well.
If memory serves, I recall the actor Danny Glover saying something about Climate Change after an Earthquake in the Caribbean a few years back!!! Just goes to demonstrate how some (many) folks in the entertainment industry ain’t too smart!!!

I can see really only one instance where CC could be blamed for an eruption and that’s where ICE sheets covering Volcanoes have been removed and the lack of external pressure allows for static rebound to weaken and fracture the rock above the magma.

Let me propose an alternative theory:
A rapidly increasing proportion of the media consuming public has lost the ability to reason and has substituted emotion to fill in the “why” gaps of knowledge.
“Why did _____ happen?” followed by an attempt to attach a “How terrified of this ____ should I be?” And if there is a threshold of fear that demands a “How can we prevent ____ in the future?” then somebody needs to do something to prevent ____ from happening again.
Man has forgotten to know his limitations, and there will always be someone around who claims an ability to solve all of the world’s problems if you give that person enough power, money and time to accomplish it.
So we have a volcano. Is it scary? Yes. And the Enemedia has cast this as You should be terrified by injecting the “as much as fifty feet high” phrase in there. So you, thousands of miles away are now experiencing a bit of fear because you are seeing emotions and hearing rhetoric that manipulates you into sharing that fear – so now you need to know how to stop it.
Out comes the usual “climate change” statement. It serves two purposes: it triggers the emotions of something larger than all of us that can only be fixed by surrendering whatever liberties and disposable income remaining. The other portion is that “experts” have a cause, so there shouldn’t be a great amount of hand wringing over What Can We Do To Prevent It? It is a trigger word of trust the Communists – they can fix it. You can go back and play video games while high on drugs again.
This pattern has become so much a part of the narrative and on every news story: 1) Fear This, 2) We have a solution 3) Surrender and Trust that it is now reflexive on part of the television presenters to step through that pattern. The dude just makes the sounds of trigger words, the other presenters just absent mindedly nod.
This is what happens when reason, logic and intelligence is replaced with emotions – mostly fear.

Well, Hank is from the State of Georgia. Therein is a large place called the Okefenokee Swamp. The name appears to be from the Seminole language and means “land of the Trembling Earth”, alluding to the floating tree-supporting islands built on interlocking roots and vegetative matter. When walking on this floating mass, the trees will sway or “tremble.”
It is only a slight mental concession to think Ol’Hank had this island vision in his head.

Just because a body of water becomes slightly less alkaline doesn’t means it is becoming acidic, as I have pointed out to many a warmunist over the years!!! Having said that, how “acidic” would the oceans have to be to dissolve rock???
Well, the pH of natural rainwater (in the range 5.0 to 5.5) is strong enough to “dissolve” rocks . . . evidence of such is found in caves having stalactites and stalagmites.
Rain gets its acidity by absorbing that “ever-so-evil” chemical CO2 as it falls through the atmosphere.
Nonetheless, the process of rain across most of Earth’s surface area is a largely unappreciated, widespread, natural means of CCS (carbon capture and storage). In comparison, any of mankind’s planning for technology-based CCS pales into insignificance.
The first time I heard someone state that volcanoes and earthquakes are caused by climate change it was from that actor Glover from the Lethal Weapon movies. It must be getting fed to idiots somewhere because I don’t think these idiots are imaginative enough to come up with it on their own.

It is worth noting that not only did Nate Burleson clearly link volcanoes to climate change, but CBS This Morning co-host Tony Dokoupil responded, “Yes, yeah, and if you’re on the West Coast, the clock is ticking on the big one. People are worried.” So Dokoupil not only endorsed the link to climate change but linked it to … earthquakes? In California when people refer to “the big one” they are referring to a San Andreas Fault rupture that could be disastrous.
I don’t think this would be the first time media muppets have suggested volcanoes are being caused by climate change.
To be fair, MSM media bends over backwards to connect any and every weather event to “CAGW/Global Warming/Climate Change” and, therefore Man’s CO2 via fossil fuel.

The 2nd half of the CBS segment (Burleson) did sound like it was scripted/recorded to follow a different story, like recent weather events. If it was the fault of ignorant/clumsy editing then the people off-screen are to blame.
It makes it very hard for the general public to be correctly educated or know when to disbelieve their eyes & ears when presented with misleading content/presentation.

Latest eruption went to 98,000 ft. Put maybe 400 mt SO2 in the upper atmosphere. Now comes the real “climate change”. How much cooling will this eruption cause?. Lower sunspot activity, lower solar wind. Higher cosmic rays now bombarding earth. Been known to kick volcanic activity higher. The talking heads wouldn’t know real climate change if it hit them like the Monty Python “Fish Slapping Skit” in reality.

There was no jump cut during the segment that I could see. Therefore, it is perfectly reasonable to assume that Nate was making his comment in the context of the current topic of discussion. I’m speculating his real intent was to simply shout “squirrel!” and inject some climate change blather, but I’d rather see him squirm.
This volcano exists along a subduction zone between the Pacific and Australian Plates … pretty much the long and the short of it.

Seriously! The tsunami generated by the volcano was 50ft high? Were do people get this garbage from!? According to the official accounts this tsunami was between 80 and 120cm in total height. For the metric illiterate in the USA that is about 3ft in height! For comparison, the tsunami that hit Japan in 2011 was about 30ft in height.
A 50ft tsunami would have obliterated most of the islands in the south Pacific, done massive damage to New Zealand, Australia, the Philippines, Japan, Hawaii and South America. I can understand how the average Joe and Joanne in the US might not be across the mysteries of the metric system but for a major news organization like CBS to allow this crap to go to air is totally unacceptable. Nobody has picked up on this and demanded they fix the BIG mistake. They must have got the 50ft number from somewhere, the same center for BSology that they get their climate information from no doubt.
It was cow farts, soccer mom’s driving their kids, and Pedro’s gardening business with all of those gas machines, that caused the volcano to blow.
