Ouch. I guess that one hurt someone’s feelings at the Washington Post. They say ‘payback is a bitch’ but here payback is just silly.
Finally I would note that the Washington Post went to both Twitter and Facebook to seek redress about my “bad” behavior.
Both seem to have declined to take action as of now. Good for them.
But I would note that Facebook has been forced to admit that its climate “fact-checking” is just its “opinion.” Here’s an excerpt from Facebook’s answer to John Stossel’s defamation complaint:

Unfortunately I think you are right Alan. They want censorship but we do remember the Nazi book-burnings so they don’t want to move too fast lest the masses see through their ghastly plans.

One small comment on Washington Post. Some years ago, it ran a “fact check” on President Trump. They claimed that Trump was wrong to say the the Paris agreement said that $100bn would be committed to the third world every year from 2020. The WaPo claimed in its “fact check” that the figure was $10bn.
I challenged them on that and told them that it would take 30 seconds to read the webpage and demonstrate that Trump was right. They gave me the email addresses of the two authors of the piece, but neither replied to my challenge.
So much for the Washington Post and truth. And they challenge Steve Milloy???
You can’t challenge a “fact checker” because, by definition, they are always right! Just another con to fool the foolish people that use social media and/or read the Washington Post.
The “fakecheckers” are merely checking narrative compliance. Unfortunately for them and us, the narrative is not factual. If it were, it would be a very different narrative.
Because that’s what they are paid to do, produce propaganda to advance the chosen narrative and attempt to discredit any opposing arguments. The popular hypothesis is catastrophic human-made global warming – that is NOT happening. There was some mild, naturally-caused warming, but it ended years ago.
The global warming alarmists have made 48 fully-expired, failed predictions to end 2020. Even at 50:50 odds per failed warming prediction, the probability of that being mere random stupidity by the warming alarmists is 1 in 281 trillion.
In 2002 we predicted global cooling starting circa 2020 – we will see. I think measurable cooling started in Feb2020, but there was a major crop failure across the Great Plains in 2019.

Well, one could always argue that more CO2 grows more grass. But that is true for food as well. The net effect of warming so far and at this moment is still positive. Only really dumb individuals would believe something else. IF the temperature was dropping instead, it would also be a “climate crisis”, but a real one, so there is no way around a climate crisis. It is a political phenomenon of our times to drive the globalisation project of the elites.

Because they are leftists. One of the defining characteristics of leftists is argument based on emotion, not facts in context. When someone challenges their nonsense, they resort to emotion again because they have no persuasive facts to support them, so you get name-calling, references to “experts” or “scientists”, popular appeal (“everyone knows it”), and of course the more direct “just shut up!”. You can never win because they won’t stay on point, but hopefully putting the facts out there will persuade those who can be persuaded.

This is not the first time that Facebook has been approached with an effort to silence members of the climate skeptic community.
The letter linked to below that was sent to Facebook back in July of 2020. Many of the signers of the letter are from the list of the most prominent people in environmentalism and the climate scare movements:

I do not have a Twitter (or Facebook, or Instagram, or …) account myself, but I have read “opinion pieces” on other media websites indicating that a relatively large percentage of “tweets” include (or can even consist entirely of ?) “unproven” statements.
1) Can anyone provide concrete numbers about this conjecture ?
2) What fraction of Twitter accounts would have to be shut down if the only criterion was “You posted something that ‘we’ consider to be ‘unproven’ …” ?
3) Who gets to fact-check the fact-checkers ?

True. The Washington Post probably reached its peak with its 1973 Pulitzer Prize award in the category “Public Service” for its coverage of the Watergate scandal (mostly credited to Post reporters Woodward and Bernstein). That Watergate coverage was a shining example of the power and benefits to US citizens of having a “free press”, established by the very words in the First Amendment of the US Constitution. It was fundamental to causing a corrupt, sitting US President to resign from office.
Again, it so disheartening to see how this once-great newspaper has fallen from grace with its recents calls for censorship.
I must admit that I hadn’t read the the Post or any newspaper in 1973, but it had tanked by 1980. What I’ve read about the Tet offensive reporting shows they were biased then as well. Watergate may have been more a case of a broken clock being correct twice a day than an independent bastion of truth.

I’ve noticed an unexpected number of pro-alarmism climate news items recently from the MSM. Considering that COP-26 is over, I couldn’t help but wonder why. My suspicion is that Xiden may be signing an Executive Order in the near future and the alarmists want to soften up the beach with heavy bombardment before it takes place.

If anyone should be censored, it’s the Washington Post for massively spreading more disinformation & misinformation than almost every other downstream media. And remember, censorship always exposes the cover-up. And the cover-up always exposes the lies.
Many tweeter accounts are stupid and boring. OK. But you can usually find people who say silly stuff and still get it right on some topics. For almost all French speaking tweeter account discussing politics, there are some truthful statements, some relevant takes on important subject (well except for pure pro Macron pro En Marche tweeters, and then I can still agree with them on a few things).
In US politics, not so much. Often accounts are going to be “progressive” and “liberal” propaganda with zero good – or even non-crazy – take on anything. Literally. I’ve seen many accounts liking/reply/supporting Auschwitz Museum tweeter account take on the trivialization of you know what. I have checked a bunch of these accounts who apparently hate trivialization and each of them had, on their first few most recent tweets, one that did just that. (It’s rare that I can browse for an hour without one trivialization; a few days ago, I saw 7 trivializations in a few hours of browsing tweeter.)
So it’s just theater. I feel that US tweeter is a massive scam like the Ashley Madison cheating website.
It isn’t just a few silly tweets; it’s an observation, after hours of browsing (wasting time) on Tweeter, that most of the first replies to a tweet on US politics are from accounts that have almost no personality (and often extremely silly bios – low effort troll accounts?) and that promote these in particular:

These accounts are incredibly stupid, they don’t break news, they have no reason to appear sooooo often. Most are nobodies, a few are persons who are famous for saying stupid stuff elsewhere. Some are rogue actors like the disgusting Daniel Uhlfelder lawyer that was not disbarred (because only doing legitimate work can result in disbarment, probably). At least that one is inept but famous in the real world, for the worst reason (like a predator being famous).
It used to be that B52Malmet was the only account that was that inept and that often seen for no apparent reason. Now TheSadTruth appears very often. Again for no intelligent or stupid reason.
So I claim the whole stuff is 100% artificial and a con.

There are always two sides to a story. If one is only hearing one side, then they are working with a half-truth.
If liberals try to suppress things they don’t agree with, then it is obvious they are not interested in the whole truth.
Why would that be? For the same reason that Biden hasn’t insisted on a bi-partisan committee to investigate the charges of voting fraud to remove the cloud over the legitimacy of his election. They are afraid of what might crawl out from under the rocks they start turning over.
