Sky News Doomsday Climate Report Flooded with Misleading Sea Rise Claims–Guido

From NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT

OCTOBER 12, 2021

By Paul Homewood

Congratulations to Guido, who beat me to it!

Doom-mongering journalists at Sky News are reporting unsubstantiated graphic claims that London is on course to be flooded, illustrated with an image of Buckingham Palace in 3 metres of water. The only thing that is flooded is the report – flooded with misleading climate claims. Using graphics from hyperbolic campaign group, Climate Central, Sky News implies that famous world sites including Buckingham Palace, the Burj Khalifa and the Lincoln Memorial will be completely flooded by water due to fast rising sea levels if the UK fails to halve annual emissions by 2030. Hardly water tight journalism…

Facebook is not paying factcheckers to check facts that will destroy the tools billionaires have created to justify globalism.
Commie fact checks are as Commie science.
They serve a specific Mafia where poor liars are being paid by rich liars to protect their lies.

And even if Zuckerberg tried he would instantly get the trump treatment and his Epstein Island sex tapes would be leaked .

I fear the war against alarmism is being lost with the propaganda in all the media, not just Facebook. The only war that can be won is through science. As with Galileo, sites like WUWT need to persist through this new inquisition, for that is what is happening, until sanity and reality prevails.

Hansen’s predictions were actually lies…had to be. No scientist anywhere really believed (back in 1988) that by 2017, the Hudson River would rise over the West Side highways of Manhattan from Global Warming. That would have required prodigious impossible amounts of captured energy to melt off glaciers and warm the oceans enough to cause 30 feet of sea level rise in 30 years.

Any REAL organization would have tossed him aside to minimize the ridicule and embarrassment from such a ridiculous prediction….but no…Hansen is a “well respected” stalwart of the (LYING) Climate Crisis Community.

They are all a bunch of Globalist-financed… Fake MSM Press-promoted liars and frauds. Destroying the (already shaky) reputation of the once hallowed Instution of Science is now a “done deal”.

“This crap will never end until the warmunists move on to some other excuse for their socialist revolution”

They are knowingly or unknowingly using Ingroup-Outgroup morality to create a world government. They need essentially everyone to have a common enemy, be it climate change, space aliens, pandemics, or whatever they think is doable.

My personal favorite would be a very large asteroid that will hit the Earth in ten years and wipe out all life. You would have world government in two months.

Exactly the extreme danger of US carriers and nuclear subs prowling the South China Sea. One such sub hit a submerged object with 11 injured last week – another Tonkin? Anyone remember the Kursk collision on 08/2000 in the Barents? Could have started WWIII, nuclear.

The Kursk flooded and sank with all crew aboard because one of its torpedoes self detonated in the torpedo room.

Our sub struck something underwater in the SCS, not another vessel according to the Navy. Either the bottom, or some other floating or suspended object. No US sailors seriously injured, just a few cuts and bruises.

Well, given that Cologne sites at 54 M (177 ft) above sea level, at the current rate of sea level rise of 2 mm/year that will only take another 27,000 years, by which time of course we’ll likely be well into the next glaciation era where sea level is 100 m less than it is now.

“… 1 inch per decade as it has for 100 years…”

That’s 2.5 mm/year and 8 inches by 2100. Over the last 100 years it’s been about 1.7 mm/year Here’s a citation for that:

The variations in sea level trends seen here primarily reflect differences in rates and sources of vertical land motion. Areas experiencing little-to-no change in relative sea level are illustrated in green, including stations consistent with average global sea level rise rate of 1.7-1.8 mm/yr.

NOAA U.S. Sea Level Trend Map

The money quote in that paragraph is “… consistent with average global sea level rise rate of 1.7-1.8 mm/yr.

Don’t like that it’s just for the U.S. tide gauges?

Here’s an illustration for seven long running tide gauges around the world:

That averages out to less than 7 inches by 2100

Yes, and sooner or later, SLR has to decline from the 1.7 mm/yr as temperate zone glaciers decline in size. At present we are seeing the melt from the Little Ice Age glacier buildup.

Sky News (UK) really seems to be trying to outdo its competitors in the alarmism stakes. Take this laughable article…

UK summer temperatures may hit 40C even if global warming is limited to 1.5C, scientists warn
The Royal Meteorological Society says such highs could become the new normal regardless of whether global temperatures are limited to a 1.5C (2.7F) rise above pre-industrial levels.

Wild weather has been a feature of this UK summer thus far, with scorching sunshine, pouring rain and powerful thunderstorms all making an appearance – and it comes after what was a record-setting year in 2020.”

UK summer temperatures may hit 40C even if global warming is limited to 1.5C, scientists warn | Climate News | Sky News

The truth about 2021 is it has been far cooler than 2020, it has been far wetter than 2020 and as for the scorching sunshine, that was the usual three hot days and a thunderstorm in July.

It hasn’t been wild, its been immensely disappointing – especially to the green fraternity, whose desire for a calamity has gone unrequited by that btch, nature.

Here’s a good example of that: Joe Biden just came out and said he has been working on the supply chain problem for months, and their solution is going to be to have the U.S. ports operate on a 24-hour basis.

You mean to say that the ports have *not* been operating on a 24-hour basis for all this time? While more and more cargo backs up in the system?

I’m not sure I would want a fast freight train. Slow and steady will get the job done.

I read where American railroads are increasing the length of their trains to try to help in moving the extra cargo.

Whatever the problems are at the ports, the Biden administration has done nothing to alleviate them.

There are ports in Florida that are now offering to unload cargo ships. Apparently they have excess capacity.

Isn’t it curious – Venice has been known for decades to be sinking, even IBM modeled it. What has that to do with London, one may ask?
Well, the first Central Bank ever was founded in Amsterdam by Venetian Fondi, also a swamp, then moved to London City with the Glorious Revolution of William of Orange, also a swamp.
Why is it this ‘tradition’ favors swamps? Well, Venice thought it was un-assailable as a swamp until 3 national armies near obliterated it. Yet watery tradition still gurgles on :
https://poets.org/poem/city-sea
Here Edgar Poe, poet, pinpoints exactly the dilemma :
The City in the Sea
Lo! Death has reared himself a throne
In a strange city lying alone
Far down within the dim West,
Where the good and the bad and the worst and the best
Have gone to their eternal rest.
There shrines and palaces and towers
(Time-eaten towers and tremble not!)
Resemble nothing that is ours.
Around, by lifting winds forgot,
Resignedly beneath the sky
The melancholy waters lie.

Poets are the true legislators!

If it wasn’t my taxpayer money and my lifestyle I would actually find all these ‘reports’ very funny.

The Media seems to believe that if it is a ‘Report’ then it must be important. They skim the summary and rush off back to the newsroom to type “Worse Than We Thought” and “May Already Be Too Late” but I put to you that very very few ever bother to read beyond the front cover sheet.

For the giggles I actually down loaded and read a report about 4 years ago that bravely stated that Climate Change(tm) would destroy the internet.

What did I discover in the report?

  • Climate Change was to be accepted as real because MSM publish articles
  • They had determined the locations of where submarine cables came across from using a self proclaimed conspiracy website
  • Those locations were close to current sea levels so therefore…
  • Rising sea levels would flood them and destroy the internet

This is – apparent – SCIENCE.
