This fortnightly Master Resource post excerpts energy and climate material from the Media Balance Newsletter, published every other week by physicist John Droz Jr., founder of the Alliance for Wise Energy Decisions. The complete MBN for this post can be found here.

Of special interest in this issue is a video by Jason Isaac of the Texas Public Policy Foundation on the role of wind and solar in wounding the Texas electricity grid.

Is there even one soul in the State of New York who isn’t caught up in the Climate Doom Kult?

This article is about foresighted guys building gas peaker plants and now cashing in, because they start up fast

Once again the greens shoot themselves between the eyes as these plants are the most inefficient at converting gas to electricity compared to CCGT plants.

More emissions than necessary
Because Griff

I meant, stupid

But I repeat myself

I see that 3 climate modellers have won a Nobel Prize for Physics.

Does anyone know anything about them and their work?

WUWT comments have often linked to Manabe’s papers. His earliest works from the 60’s is still top reference material.

The Nobel committee has been getting more and more woke as they are appointed by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences which appoints the committee. All they needed was a quite year because of covid to live out their woke dream and have the prize go to climate scientists. It reminds me a bit like when Aung San Suu Kyi got the peace prize and it came around and bit the committee.

Actually, it looks like all the awards this year are green oriented and well-timed for the COP26 propaganda series. Real science will have to wait. The Chinese awards should be started soon.

Now India has a Coal Crisis too: half the plants only have three days supply left
after a surge in power demand from industries and sluggish imports due to record global prices…
Over half of India’s 135 coal-fired plants have fuel stocks of less than three days, government data shows, far short of federal guidelines recommending supplies of at least two weeks.
That is a lot of coal burning:
India is the world’s second largest importer of coal despite having the fourth largest reserves.
“Domestic consumption increased by about 10% in the last two years because of work from home and air conditioning,” a senior Tamil Nadu government official told Reuters.

Thank you for providing this source.
I only read four issues and used one video so far.
Very well presented and will certainly read more and save the source.
