Global Climate Strike: If you don’t pay Climate Reparations, All the Useless People Will Walk Out Until Their Demands are Met

Guest essay by Eric Worrall

Greta Thunberg’s band of future burger flippers have reaffirmed their determination to ensure the children of evil exploiters get the best jobs and university courses.

From Fridays for Future;

SEPTEMBER 24

GLOBAL CLIMATE STRIKE

ON SEPTEMBER 24, WE WILL STRIKE TO DEMAND FOR INTERSECTIONAL CLIMATE JUSTICE! JOIN US!

#UPROOTTHESYSTEM

The climate crisis does not exist in a vacuum. Other socio-economic crises such as racism, sexism, ableism, class inequality, and more amplify the climate crisis and vice versa. It is not just a single issue, our different struggles and liberations are connected and tied to each other. We are united in our fight for climate justice, but we must also acknowledge that we do not experience the same problems; nor do we experience them to the same extent.

The time to join the masses and follow the lead of the environmental defenders and workers has been long overdue. Reparations to MAPA must be paid for the historic injustices of the richest elite, drastic emission cuts in the Global North, vaccine equity, cancellation of debt, and climate finance are only the beginning of these. Together we will fight for a just future where no one is left behind. The historical victories of collective action have proven the need for the youth to stand united with the multisectoral, intergenerational struggle for a better future for all; a future where people and planet are prioritized.

The referenced Google Drive document is even funnier;

We’re in the midst of a climate crisis, mass species extinction, a world health pandemic, socio-economic inequality crises, and more. The current system actively strives towards highlighting the voices of the most privileged through a racist and white-savior narrative that portrays people from the Global South as underdeveloped, poor, and voiceless. Industrialized countries of the Global North have been doing this for centuries through colonialism, imperialism, the perpetuation of systemic injustices and their fixation on everlasting growth. However, people from the Global South or the most affected areas are not underdeveloped, poor, or voiceless, but battling with the consequences of colonization and neocolonization while actively being silenced. They are strong, fearless and conscious as they have been fighting and addressing the root cause of these crises for centuries, that is the systems of oppression and injustice created by the richest of the Global North.

We must unite, follow the lead of defenders and workers, amplify MAPA voices, and demand more ambitious action from Global North representatives. Together we will fight for a just future where no one is left behind, because our liberations are tied together. The historical victories of collective action have proven the need for the youth to stand united with the multisectoral, intergenerational struggle for a better future for all; a future where people and the planet are prioritized over profit.

One thing I’m curious about, I regularly receive letters from people who mostly seem to live in the global south, from grieving widows explaining they have millions of dollars inheritance locked away, they just need help from an honest person in another country to unlock it. They even sometimes offer a share of the cash to the kind person who agrees to help them.

Surely if people in the global south need more money for climate adaption, instead of pushing Greta to demand the industrial North pay vast reparations for the crime of providing the modern world, why don’t the leaders of the global south simply ask the grieving widows to to come forward, so their cases can be investigated, so all money in their frozen up bank accounts can be put to work?

Greta could lead the charge, to help all those widows and other unfortunates who keep writing to me access their frozen accounts, so they can invest their money into climate resilience projects.

Where the alma mater of our most celebrated traitors is concerned, nothing should surprise you.

CAMBRIDGE University has backed and promoted an academic who posted “White Lives Don’t Matter” after she was sent death threats.

Professor Priyamvada Gopal, a fellow of Churchill College, faced a 4,000-signature petition calling for her to be sacked over the tweet.

The Pro-Choice religion of the Progressive Church, Synagogue, Mosque, Corporation, Clinic, etc., denies women and men’s dignity and agency. and reduces human life to a negotiable property for social, medical, and Green[back] progress. That said, keep women appointed, available, and taxable is the dream of feminists and masculinists alike. Abort, cannibalize, sequester.

What was worse about that woman was that she had a history of what any reasonable person would consider racist (& sexist) posts – which were deleted soon after her ‘white lives don’t matter’ comment made the news; but someone managed to recover them (they posted a link on youtube at the time, I’ve not looked to see if it still works). They were, in my opinion, the rantings of a deranged person. The university & college ignored it all – since her racism was towards whites & her sexism towards men (in one, for example, she expressed a desire to knee-cap white men), neither counted.

More on the insanity of Cambridge University. Cambridge University Press published this:
The long-running BBC sitcom, ’Allo ’Allo!, has been thoroughly criticised for its use of various racial, gendered and sexualised tropes, not to mention its cynical view of the French experience of the Second World War. This article, however, reassesses the programme in light of what it highlights about the lived experience of Anglo-American airmen who were forced to bale from their planes over Occupied France. It uses the comedic aspects of the programme to investigate escape and evasion training, the use of language, ‘fitting in’ and the prominence of peasants in the wartime lives of Anglo-American aircrews in France. The programme, rather than being just another example of Gaullophobia, accurately represents some elements of the Second World War in France. In addition, changes in the plot over its nine seasons suggest that the sitcom reflects broader British concerns, as well as the Anglo-French relationship.

Our ancestors lost the increased melanin in the skin to compensate for a need for more vitamin D. After successive generations, a group of associated genes have become dominant family characteristics – less melanin in skin, hair and eyes results in a group with predominantly pale skin, blonde sandy or ginger hair and blue eyes. We are one race with virtually the same genetics in every person – it’s just that some gene groups are dominant in some groups and others are recessive or even dormant; a bit like each gene having a binary switch being ‘off’ or ‘on’.

Let us get serious and end this once and for all, since the code HAS been cracked..”

It seems to me there is another “code” that explains the “this” that has been going on lately. To crack it, one can simply employ the “intersectionality” key:

THIS, includes much focus on, and vilification of, a particular sort of people : Europeans (AKA “white” people), and almost everything of real historic significance that can be attributed to them.

THIS, also includes much pressure from various “Elites” (AKA people in high places) on non-elites to do as we are told by them (or else).

THIS, does NOT include much focus on something of real historic significance that was done by “white” people, which limited the ability of people in high places to dictate what non-elites must do (or else).

Therefore, I suggest that the reason “white” people in particular are being “targeted” by people in high places, is BECAUSE various “Elites” would like very much to undo what “white” people did which limits the ability of people in high places to dictate what non-elites must do, or else . . to get the “white” baby thrown out with the bathwater, so to speak ; )

Reply to  John Larson

Was the code a code red?
Is that why the Cleveland Indians are now named after a couple of white stone statues on a bridge (The “Guardians of Transportation” chiseled out long before EVs) nobody ever noticed before?

I am actually beginning to suspect that AI algorithms and such are being utilized to sniff out any possible “intersectionality” that can be exploited to advance the “grievance” aspects of this bizzaro-land BS we are witnessing . . So, maybe some supercomputer did “suggest” what it “saw” as a good connection for reinforcing whatever it “thinks” humans might be influenced by, and launched a barrage of “red” related tactical strikes, by way of it’s human imbecilli ; )

Reply to  John Larson
August 23, 2021 7:04 pm

Sure that is one part. The above doctrine however is simply to promote hate, fear and chaos in every thinkable way. It has got to be men against women, black against white, muslims against christians. If there is any spark of unrest, put gasoline on it. If there is no spark, just make it up. It is the socialist doctrine. Organization wise it is about putting socialists in charge, everywhere, and get rid of everyone who is not complying.

Yet, the “code” I was referring to is that “climate change”. I know what they did, willingly or not, and how these tricks, or mistakes respectively, produce the idea of significant warming by CO2. Not a triviality I would guess, since sites like this have been after it for a long time. Unsuccessfully.

John Larson
Reply to  E. Schaffer
August 24, 2021 2:06 pm

It is the socialist doctrine.” I suggest that’s just a convenient cover story sort of “disguise”, one form of “sheep’s clothing” the wolves can don to fool some of the less wary “white” people.
The “intersectionality” key can be employed to break the “political ideology” code too . . and the “distillate” is:
Controlled Society (by any other name ; )

Had some other “color” of people birthed the baby that changed the “ruling elites” game, that “color” of people would be in the crosshairs now (according to my calculations ; ) and we would be seeing the unwary being encouraged to think our “Elites” were convinced they could best serve us within the same array of ‘Controlled Society’ (by any other name) political structures.

I’m not suggesting your “code breaking” is erroneous, or irrelevant to the struggle to un-don the wolves at our door, so to speak, but rather to shed a bit of more serious light on the shadowy “intersectionality” code, which many here had been engaged in “making light of” in humorous ways (which I most certainly condone ; )

In short: I confess, I exploited the opportunity your “code breaking” linguistic approach afforded me, and apologize for any distraction from your salient points I may have caused.

Actually no, it doesn’t. This was carefully explained to me in a university class on global geopolitics. Why, you might ask? Well, because the economic system and the colonists, who are now Aussie citizens, are mostly European and therefore from the Global North. It can become confusing if you think “north” and “south” actually retain their usual meanings, which they don’t in this context.

You seem to have been taught in the manner of Lewis Carroll wrote “When I use a word,’ Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, ‘it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.’

Not saying I agree with the geopolitical definitions, since I don’t. Just saying that this is how the geopolitical science elites think. They have to name an entire country as part of the Global North or Global South. The fact that any particular country may have groups of people that are marginalized or unusually wealthy doesn’t mean the country as a whole can’t be categorized this way.

They are not separate countries as defined by the United Nations (h/t Richard Osman), they are separate nations within one country, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Island. Gibraltar, The Channel Islands, the Falklands, Ascension Island and the Isle of Man are not countries either, even though they self govern. The Canary Islands are not countries, they are Spanish but are not governed by Spain and hence are not in the EU. Likewise Madeira and the Azores in relation to Portugal. Individual states in Canada, Germany, the USA and Australia are not separate countries either but are self governing.

Realise that both poverty and wealth come in two forms – absolute and relative. Then the sad thing is that when you look at the zero carbon proposals being floated their major effect is to enrich the wealthy and to further impoverish the poor. Examples such as:

  • Increasing the cost of domestic energy by introducing highly regressive taxes;
  • Limiting electrification in poorer countries by only financing technically challenging and hugely expensive projects such as 100% renewable grids – forget the cheap coal and gas technology used by the wealthy;
  • Limiting access to personal transport by raising the cost of cheap (ICE) cars;
  • limiting international travel by imposing taxes on air travel;
  • Reducing international trade in commodities such as food produced by poorer countries;

I could go on and on. Basic Marxist class analysis shows that the CO2 catastrophism is simply a means by which the wealthy connected “woke” are using to reinforce their privilege.

I believe that Lenin said it best when describing the Russian equivalents to Saint Greta the Shrill as “useful idiots”

What about paying rich people, who can afford solar panels on their home, by making electricity more expensive for the poor people who can’t?

What about using taxpayers’ money, that could be spent on facilities for poor people, to subsidise EVs for rich people who can afford them, probably as a second car anyway.

CAGW is the perfect vehicle for transferring wealth from the poor to the rich. Typical socialist framework.

john rattray
Reply to  Zig Zag Wanderer

The only thing that I disagree with is the use of the word socialist. It’s actually a feature of crony capitalism by which the rich use their political power to increase their share of wealth and prestige. Examples abound in the economic history of the US, U.K., Germany, India etc.

A true socialist would be seeking a popular and democratic mandate for measures to enrich everyone which entails providing the benefits of cheap energy to the worlds poor. With todays technology that means electrification (using gas and coal) to the poor within reach of a grid and local distributed solar to those outside of that reach. It most certainly doesn’t mean betraying the poor by supporting measures to limit their ability to live in a warm house as the current British Labour party does. Nor does it mean the regressive policies of the US Democrats which will really screw the urban, dispossessed poor. .

Crony capitalism is socialism. Using government to take money from one group of people in order to give it to another, has nothing to do with capitalism and is pure socialism.

True socialists, by your definition, are very thin on the ground! Most of them seem to want everything they can get from the government but give back next to nothing. This is why socialism, as a form of government, never has worked and never will work. It is a lovely utopian dream but it doesn’t even work on the small scale of agricultural communes. There are always too many who don’t pull their share of the work but expect a full share of the rewards.

Some unions were incensed by this and threatened to have their members go on strike. Problem for the unions was that with their members not working (hardship for the workers) the employers did not have to pay their wages (win for the bosses) and with the factory now closed anyway the power demand was reduced (win for the government).

Liberate the oppressed by denying them and the entire world affordable, abundant energy!

Yep … and it is going to come back and bite them in the ass very soon. The hundreds of billions poured into this nonsense could have helped build infrastructure and a reliable, affordable power supply in Africa. Instead, the Chinese are doing it (using our money), while they insure access to the resources needed to produce the mythical “carbon free” society.

An intellectual vortex with a state/Party Marxist Dictatorship coming out at the bottom .

This will inevitably fail once all the massive wealth they coveted is squandered in the attempt to make bad ideas work. Of course, the orchestrators will be enriched once again, while the masses try to recover some of what they lost.

It was written …

“Napoleon holds a dinner party for the pigs and local farmers, with whom he celebrates a new alliance. He abolishes the practice of the revolutionary traditions and restores the name “The Manor Farm”. The men and pigs start playing cards, flattering and praising each other while cheating at the game. Both Napoleon and Mr. Pilkington, one of the farmers, play the Ace of Spades at the same time and both sides begin fighting loudly over who cheated first. When the animals outside look at the pigs and men, they can no longer distinguish between the two.”

Oh, deary, deary me (as my paternal grandma used to say)! Dontcha just wonder how these buffoons are gonna survive without warm places to stay and food to eat, come winter?

If they want a “walk-out” or strike or whatever, fine. We can watch the parade. Is there a walrus haulout we can send them to?

I have yet to see the mass extinction of anything other than the newly-sprouted grass in my lawn that shut down a few days later because we had chilly weather overnight – deliciously chilly weather, the kind that makes the kitties come and snuggle up next to you.

I really do want to know just how willing Greta and her followers are to suffer real-time, real-world stuff, like a week-long blizzard where you can’t even push the door open. I do not believe any of them have what it takes to put up with deprivation of any kind, whether it’s food or shelter or the loss of their electronic toys.

The ubiquitous K-T atmospheric heat budget diagram contains two egregious errors.
https://www.cgd.ucar.edu/staff/trenbert/trenberth.papers/TFK_bams09.pdf
The diagram depicts 63 W/m^2 of LWIR upwelling from the surface – TWICE!
Once sourced from the 161 net, net solar energy that arrives at the surface from the sun minus the upwelling sensible and latent flows. Since it is not shown and MUST be there maybe it fell behind the sofa.
Second as part of a theoretical, “What if?” S-B BB calculation for a surface temperature of 16 C used to calculate emissivity, i.e. 63/396=0.16, and with no actual physical meaning.
When the music stops the solar 63 has chair in which to sit.
The theoretical, “What if?” calculated 63 does not.
The greenhouse effect is a fifth-grade math error.

0.16 emissivity? WTF Nick ? If emissivity was 1.0, then 396 corresponds to a reasonable surface temp of 16C and 333 to a cloud base temp (or sky/outer space average) of 3 C. The net average radiative transfer of 63 from surface upwards is reasonable, even on the high side a bit….your double accounting claim is pretty FUBAR.

And what’s this got to do with Greta anyway ?

Nick Schroeder

16 C, 289 K, 0.16 emissivity = 63 W/m^2.
396 is more energy than arrived at ToA from the sun in the first place. WTF?
333 downwelling is not possible w/o adding work.
Can’t have two 63’s.

I don’t think she’s too worried about finding a job anyway …a recent Tony Heller video showed young teen activist Severin Suzuki impersonating greta in the 90’s addressing a UN environmental confab . according to wiki she’s now worth $23 million made from environmental activism .

“The climate crisis does not exist in a vacuum. Other socio-economic crises such as racism, sexism, ableism, class inequality, and more amplify the climate crisis and vice versa.”

Feminists made the same mistake. Instead of focusing on women’s issues, they got intersectional, taking on every conceivable progressive cause. Not only did this make them less effective — some would say completely useless and often counter productive — but the conflicts between these various causes has ripped feminism apart at the seams.

I’m confused.

You disagree with this:

narrative that portrays people from the Global South as underdeveloped, poor, and voiceless.

My own view is I don’t like such broad generalities so I prefer to say that the global South, is on average less developed, is on average poorer, and on average the voices from the global South don’t get heard as much as voices in the global North, but I don’t think your objection is the generality when you retort:

However, people from the Global South or the most affected areas are not underdeveloped, poor, or voiceless,…

If so, what’s the problem?

You claim they are battling with the consequences of colonization but if they are not underdeveloped, poor or voiceless, there is no need for action.

You also claimed they are silenced but not voiceless. Sounds like a distinction without a difference.

Please try putting together a coherent summarization of the problem.
