I know it’s hard for you process data, but the studies that were correctly designed show ivermectin, HCQ and other drug regimes to give a 75% or better reduction in fatality rate! And that’s for a virus that most age groups have a 99.9% chance of surviving!
You should be ashamed of supporting the people that delayed or prevented treatment for thousands of Americans; somewhere between 200,000 and 250,000 fatalities could have been avoided by allowing MDs to prescribe safe and effective drugs that have been in use for fifty years in some cases! Of course, as an alarmist, you probably want to reduce the human population by at least a half or three quarters; so a few hundred thousand is not a big deal to you!

Why is a vaccine better? The name “herd immunity” is self explanatory. It is how “the herd” stays alive. Organisms are constantly exposed to millions of pathogens. Our bodies are composed of vast numbers of, now benign, viruses and bacilli that our immune system made antigens for … allowing life to go on. It’s a natural process that MUST happen for survival. Some actually die for a list of reasons. The immune system is like any other somatic system … like muscle. Use it or lose it.
The only time a vaccine is called for is a high mortality rate (especially among the young and productive). A high infection rate is desirable because it speeds up herd immunity. This is a unique treatment, not a vaccine. It artificially messes with RNA to emulate an immune response. It has nothing to do with “herd immunity”. It might be of use to prolong the lives of the very vulnerable. It’s by no means a panacea.

What does “emulate an immune response” mean? All vaccines promote an immune response and the difference between them is how they do that. mRNA vaccines do not “mess with RNA” whatever that means. Rather cells transcribe the mRNA of the vaccine into spike proteins which then promote an immune response. And has been shown to be over 95% effective.
And if you don’t like mRNA based vaccine there is the oxford one based on the cold virus. But that is less effective.
That’s how this mess started. The definition of pandemic was changed in november 2019. The definiton of vaccin was changed and the definition of herd immunity was changed to being vaccinated in stead of natural immunity.

A person can be infected by viruses in general either by: fluid/particles into the airway, into the eyes, into a cut/wound, swallowed (food/water) or less likely skin, blood transfusion (lots of checking before hand to avoid this). Viruses can be spread from droplets you breathe out, cough or sneeze, or physical contact to other people/surfaces. Touch an infected surface & transfer to eyes, nose, mouth for another chance for infection that includes handling of a mask. Wash your hands before & after handling your mask for better protection. Disposable masks are good for 4hrs in 1 day, throw it out. Cloth masks should be washed daily, have several. Keep washing hands & surfaces.
If the person infected is wearing a surgical mask (or cloth mask) then some of the droplets are caught by the mask while some still escapes it reduces the distance they travel. So a mask plus distance reduces probability of infecting others when community transmission is active. A surgical/cloth mask is not good at preventing someone breathing in an airborne virus. If no one in the community has the virus, you are not at risk but people can be infectious before they realise so prevention is better than cure.
An N95 (or better) mask fitted to seal around your face filters the incoming air to protect the wearer from inhaling droplets. But because they have an air valve during exhalation they let droplets out unfiltered & more likely to infect others. Some people in some situation use a full respirator for in & out filtering or place a surgical mask over the top of a N95 (or better) mask.
In hospitals, staff in infectious disease wards have greater risks & longer exposure so the protection methods are greater.
UV light & heat degrades the SARS-CoV-2 virus quicker than indoors. With areas of USA, UK & others with many people infected it becomes very effective to keep your distance or wear a mask when mixing with others in closer or high traffic areas (public transport, office, shops). Theatres, pubs & clubs are higher risk areas & should be avoided. Restaurants & personal services can continue when the community infection rate has been reduced, recording of visitor details, reduced capacity. If you eradicate an area & keep potential new carriers out then you can go back to normal much quicker. Despite the hassle of lockdowns & the occasional outbreak: Australia & New Zealand have protected large parts of the economy from economic loss & poised to ease restrictions when other countries vaccinate/eradicate the virus.

Love the Babylon Bee but this ChiCom virus is no longer funny! I’ve been viewing the Fat Emperor podcasts from Ivor Cummins, an Irish biomedical engineer for a few months now.
In his latest he points out the difference between Oceania, China and Australia on one hand; and Europe and the Americas on the other. In the former the fatality rate is about 30 deaths per million while in the latter the rate is about 900 deaths per million! There are obviously many compounding factors but why does the supposed First World have a fatality rate THIRTY TIMES HIGHER than much of the Third World!? One of the main differences seems to be the response to this dempanic; much of it willfuly ignorant or politicized!
In the First World we have been using mask mandates and lockdowns; policies that have NEVER been tried before and were NEVER recommended by the CDC or WHO until China touted their efficacy early last year! There are over thirty studies now that show lockdowns are ineffective or more harmful than the virus, yet our lords and masters seem intent on continuing them for our own good! One possible effect of them is to delay reaching community immunity by keeping the healthy from being exposed early and developing natural resistance!
Another imbecilic idea was to prevent MDs from prescribing inexpensive and effective treatments like ivermectin and HCQ that could have save tens of thousands of lives! The studies of these drugs that were PROPERLY prescribed had a reduction in fatalities of 75% or better! You can see the effect quite clearly in the difference between Central Africa and it’s surrounding regions! In Central Africa where there is little healthcare infrastructure but HCQ is available over the counter; fatalities are down in the 30 per million range! How can anyone explain the difference between the fatality rates for Black Americans vs the rate for Central Africans?

I am not sure why your started your post discussing immunity and then switched to promoting cures that have not been proven to work in double-blind trials. And even if they did work a vaccine is still the better option. Especially if combined with proven treatments (of which there are several and doctors are learning more and more about what works). A vaccine reduces the chances of any disease spreading throughout the community and is cheaper than treating those who get the disease.
And if I was an alarmist and wanted 50% of the population to die I would have started this thread by encouraging people to get vaccinated.

In 1942 penicillin was tested on 15 patients successfully and an immediate crash program of mass production was ordered. In 1943 it reached the troops and in 1944 it reached the home front. Waiting months for the results of double-blind trials would have cost tens of thousands of lives. In such a wartime situation, waiting for perfect proof was a luxury that couldn’t be afforded.
The Covid-19 pandemic is the equivalent of a wartime situation. Ivermectin has been proven safer than aspirin, with 3.7 billion doses administered over the past 35 years in the developing world as an anti-parasitic treatment and preventative. (Its developers received a Nobel prize six years ago.) There is no justification for discouraging its use or marginalizing it, as the medical authorities in the developed world have done, given encouraging results from the field.

I know this is difficult for you, but there are so many holes in your arguments that you may have to give your paymasters a refund! Numerous drugs are put to use without double blind or RCT trials first; amoxicillin, tetracycline and the tetanus vaccine come to mind!
Why is a vaccine better? If a virus is not particularly deadly and there are several effective treatments to protect the vulnerable, it is much better for the public to achieve herd or community immunity by exposure rather than becoming the guinea pigs for a new type of treatment that NO ONE knows the long term effects of due to being rushed onto the market to benefit corporate bottom lines!

Why would we get herd immunity from exposure but not from the vaccine? What is the difference and why would this vaccine not work like every other vaccine?
The name “herd immunity” is self explanatory. It is how “the herd” stays alive. Organisms are constantly exposed to millions of pathogens. Our bodies are composed of vast numbers of, now benign, viruses and bacilli that our immune system made antigens for … allowing life to go on. It’s a natural process that MUST happen for survival. Some actually die for a list of reasons. The immune system is like any other somatic system … like muscle. Use it or lose it.
The only time a vaccine is called for is a high mortality rate (especially among the young and productive). A high infection rate is desirable because it speeds up herd immunity. This is a unique treatment, not a vaccine. It artificially messes with RNA to emulate an immune response. It has nothing to do with “herd immunity”. It might be of use to prolong the lives of the very vulnerable. It’s by no means a panacea.

What does “emulate an immune response” mean? All vaccines promote an immune response and the difference between them is how they do that. mRNA vaccines do not “mess with RNA” whatever that means. Rather cells transcribe the mRNA of the vaccine into spike proteins which then promote an immune response. And has been shown to be over 95% effective.
And if you don’t like mRNA based vaccine there is the oxford one based on the cold virus. But that is less effective.

A person can be infected by viruses in general either by: fluid/particles into the airway, into the eyes, into a cut/wound, swallowed (food/water) or less likely skin, blood transfusion (lots of checking before hand to avoid this). Viruses can be spread from droplets you breathe out, cough or sneeze, or physical contact to other people/surfaces. Touch an infected surface & transfer to eyes, nose, mouth for another chance for infection that includes handling of a mask. Wash your hands before & after handling your mask for better protection. Disposable masks are good for 4hrs in 1 day, throw it out. Cloth masks should be washed daily, have several. Keep washing hands & surfaces.
If the person infected is wearing a surgical mask (or cloth mask) then some of the droplets are caught by the mask while some still escapes it reduces the distance they travel. So a mask plus distance reduces probability of infecting others when community transmission is active. A surgical/cloth mask is not good at preventing someone breathing in an airborne virus. If no one in the community has the virus, you are not at risk but people can be infectious before they realise so prevention is better than cure.
An N95 (or better) mask fitted to seal around your face filters the incoming air to protect the wearer from inhaling droplets. But because they have an air valve during exhalation they let droplets out unfiltered & more likely to infect others. Some people in some situation use a full respirator for in & out filtering or place a surgical mask over the top of a N95 (or better) mask.
In hospitals, staff in infectious disease wards have greater risks & longer exposure so the protection methods are greater.
UV light & heat degrades the SARS-CoV-2 virus quicker than indoors. With areas of USA, UK & others with many people infected it becomes very effective to keep your distance or wear a mask when mixing with others in closer or high traffic areas (public transport, office, shops). Theatres, pubs & clubs are higher risk areas & should be avoided. Restaurants & personal services can continue when the community infection rate has been reduced, recording of visitor details, reduced capacity. If you eradicate an area & keep potential new carriers out then you can go back to normal much quicker. Despite the hassle of lockdowns & the occasional outbreak: Australia & New Zealand have protected large parts of the economy from economic loss & poised to ease restrictions when other countries vaccinate/eradicate the virus.
Wearing masks in public, distance, staying home, cleaning is just as good as complete vaccination. Why were so many waiting for the vax but happy to spread it in the meantime?
If Australia acted like the UK then we would have over 1.6M infected & over 45 thousand deaths instead of our current 909 (includes those who were infected while overseas but returned before dying). Most Australian children have spent more time in school than some overseas. Myself in Western Sydney today I can go to the shops, have a haircut & watch a movie (cinema), local sport with very low risk. It’s not because of location, it’s because of government policies. In his latest he points out the difference between Oceania, China and Australia on one hand; and Europe and the Americas on the other. In the former the fatality rate is about 30 deaths per million while in the latter the rate is about 900 deaths per million! There are obviously many compounding factors but why does the supposed First World have a fatality rate THIRTY TIMES HIGHER than much of the Third World!? In the First World we have been using mask mandates and lockdowns; policies that have NEVER been tried before and were NEVER recommended by the CDC or WHO until China touted their efficacy early last year! One possible effect of them is to delay reaching community immunity by keeping the healthy from being exposed early and developing natural resistance!

The studies of these drugs that were PROPERLY prescribed had a reduction in fatalities of 75% or better! In Central Africa where there is little healthcare infrastructure but HCQ is available over the counter; fatalities are down in the 30 per million range!
