Bicoastal Climate Elites: Rumored Biden EPA Pick Got a 2nd Home Because of…Climate Week

Climate bureaucrat on the green carpet

Reposted from Government Accountability & Oversight

CHRIS HORNER GAOIn The New

The Washington Post ran an item, “Perspective: Biden is building a team that looks like the people it serves”. Author Steven Miller pithily replied, “Undeniably true headline but certainly not the way they intended it.”

Exhibit A: Mary Nichols — the head of California’s Air Resources Board and rumored top-three pick for a Biden EPA Administrator — apparently was moved to get a second place of her own across the country in New York after attending Climate Week in the Big Apple. Upper West Side, stone’s throw from the Park. Nice!

Very cool indeed. For me, if not for all of thee yahoos, mind. One just can’t miss Climate Week. Or stay in some grubby Four Seasons. Expect nothing less from (Green) Royalty.

Go Bi-Coastal…for the climate! Now sit still for your next four-year lecture on the need for state-imposed privation because climate change.

I’m shocked, shocked I tell you, to discover that carpetbagging is going on in our climate bureaucracies.

She has been a top level twit on environmental and climate matters for years! I don’t think she even believes the BS she spews. Oh, and I spent 40+ years in the environmental field across the table from people just like Ms. Nichols. None of them have any concept of rel world matters or impacts.

Great! Hire a bureaucrat responsible for CA’s wildfires.

The Air Resources Board wouldn’t let foresters burn their slash piles, so instead vast woodland tracts went up in flames, making air quality much worse than controlled burns would have, and costing $10 billion in damage in 2020, and counting.

Perfect for a Biden Administration.

Mary Nichols is the epitome of hypocrisy.

A lifelong malcontent and professional whiner, she is the nightmare we all imagine when we think of a government bureaucrat who has never earned an honest living. Combined with her innumeracy and her economic and scientific illiteracy, she’s indistiguishable from a full-blown Russian commissar.

head of California’s Air Resources Board must pay pretty darn good in order to afford homes in two of the most expensive stretches of Real Estate know to man.

The Showtime series Ray Donovan had a character like her providing environmental approvals of land purchases for money, coming of course, from the rich and powerful to build things like Football Stadiums for NFL franchise relocations. Lots of graft money to be had for these petty bureaucrats to buy homes in New York and get closer to the kick backs.

Hypocritical, parasitical self serving shower of sh*t. The whole bl**dy lot of them.

Nelson completely ignores a big source of air pollution in California and that is modified motorcycles. They are modified for louder exhausts and that also means the catalytic converters and smog equipment gets removed as well. And there is no noise enforcement by Police, Sheriff or Highway Patrol. Although the laws are on the books for noise levels and modified exhaust, they are simply not enforced. The only city that has active enforcement is San Francisco. Strange, because they don’t care about anything else.

No, SF does care about some things. They just banned smoking IN YOUR OWN APARTMENT. But not pot smoking, only tobacco. They’re not crazy.

Apparently to be a Democrat “climate expert” you must have at least two homes.

I wonder how many businesses have left the state over her dictatorial policies? How many homes have burned because prescribes burns were not allowed to thin underbrush. How many poor people have to stretch a tight budget because gas prices in California are $0.75-1.00 more than the rest of the country. How many people in the Central Valley can’t afford to cool their homes in the summer because she’s driven up the price of electricity. How many lower income people have had to leave the state to find relief from her regulations? Heaven help the rest of America if she’s in charge of the EPA.

Apparently quite a few and the lower income residents are leading the way as this chart shows:

Nichols has been the architect of achieving absolutely nothing in reducing California’s CO2 emissions through year 2020 while committing many tens of billions of dollars on state mandated carbon taxes and renewable energy cost and reliability failures.
Between the period of 2011 to 2019 electricity rates in California have increased at a rate 6 times higher than the rest of the U.S. yet the state is experiencing more poor reliability renewable energy driven power blackouts.
The states targeted CO2 reductions through 2020 targeted by AB 32 amounted to less than 60 million metric tons of CO2 reductions. However this target was based on the assumption that wildfire emissions would be neutral which because of the states decades long failed forest management policies saw huge wildfire emissions increases that all but wiped out the targeted reductions.
Further CO2 global emissions growth by the worlds developing nations increased during this period by over 5 billion metric tons making California’s schemes irrelevant at best.
The U. S. has achieved about a billion metric tons of CO2 reductions during this same time period through the use of increased low cost natural gas obtained through fracking that has replaced coal power plants with high efficiency lower cost CCGT power plants while California is trying to shutdown such plants in the state and replace these with high cost unreliable renewables.
Nichols should fit right in with the monumental energy and climate incompetence of the Democratic Party with their continuing failures in these areas celebrated by a clueless and ignorant media.

The scary thing is that they are so confident of the control they have over the country, that they don’t even feel the need to hide their corruption anymore.

Oh, that isn’t scary. It is just plain stupid vanity on their part. “LOOK AT US!!! WE’RE IN CHARGE NOW!! WE OWN EVERYTHING INCLUDING YOUR UNDERWEAR!!! LOOK AT US!!!!”

Watching this bubble of self-important stupidity continue to inflate is interesting. They aren’t watching who is watching them.

Have patience. Everything ripens in its time and become fruit in its hour…. and sometimes, the fruit planted swallows the planter. Just watch and get out of their way. There may be cliffs ahead for this bunch of walruses…..

Why shouldn’t they be confident?

They openly stole an election after 5 years of fraudulent investigations against the president by the Federal Bureau of Coverups and the Injustice Department. While the Trump experience has exposed the total corruption of the government and media, it has not resulted in any consequences for the open criminality,

Two Democrat governors, Whitmer & Cuomo, have gotten away with killing old people in elder care facilities through criminal negligence. Both Hillary & Quid Pro Joe have gotten away with running bribery and money laundering schemes while in the Obama administration.

So why shouldn’t they feel confident they can get away with any crime?

The Biden/Harris administration should concentrate on fixing care for the elderly. Problems have been smoldering for years, getting worse, and more costly – while the elderly population grows. Elderly care facilities will not now let you visit because of Panic2020. Too sad more people could not have seen this bad situation, as I and my wife have.
Apparently politicians have enough wealth to see that their own parents and grandparents are well cared for as age takes its toll.

Money and effort spent on “the climate crises” is wasted.

Gaia will take care of herself.

Many Dem run states, NY, NJ Mich. to name 3, already did something for the COST of the elderly in care homes, they reduced the number through forcing covid positive people into them and killing 10s of thousands of them. The dead are no longer on the government dole. I think they can still vote though.

GGN is of course Governor Gavin Nuisance.
A “scrum” happens because he has probably a 3 person security detail with him when he travels.

So GGN’s carbon footprint (CF) is: CF = ES x 4

(ES = elitist snob)

Is climate week like someone here in the UK called wind week. Unfortunately nobody told the weather and the few remaining coal fired power stations left her were putting out more than however many thousand of windmills.
It’s nice for her to be able to have a lovely second home, I’m sure as she is driven through the unpoliced and looter ravaged city to her important meetings to discuss how to make the deplorables pay for their crimes under Donald Trump she’ll feel a warm glow of pride in what she’s doing for the future.

Thrift, thrift, Horatio! the funeral baked meats Did coldly furnish forth the marriage tables. – Hamlet

Like Claudius, these people are so full of themselves that they are blind to the mere idea that anything can send them down a long, slow and unpleasant hillside, like walruses falling off a cliff. (Sorry, I just can’t get that out of my head.)

What follows? Oh, what was that thing that the Teen Queen said when someone told her the peasants were rioting? And it was because they had no bread to eat, when bread was a staple of the lower classes’ diet, and drought had hit France reducing grain yields. Hmmmm….

I’m sure she will buy carbon offsets to compensate for her extra energy usage. The rest of us will just sit in our cold, dark caves to balance the account.
