h/t Carl Friis-Hansen; Protestors in Germany have accused the state of endangering citizens rights, by granting the German executive sweeping powers to shut premises or impose curfews to control Covid-19 outbreaks. But advocates claim the law requires greater oversight of Covid-19 lockdown decisions, and provides special protection for cultural events.

Police break up large Berlin protests as Germany passes tougher coronavirus laws

Large crowds protested in Berlin against the German government’s push to enshrine coronavirus restrictions into an existing law. Police intervened as the crowds sought to approach the parliament.

“Police calling on demonstrators to leave. Lots of booing. Demonstrators want to access cordoned-off area around parliament where new additions to infection law are being debated [at the moment,],” DW’s Nina Haase reported from the scene.

A tense standoff ensued, as police tried to convince the crowd to disperse amid cries of “We are the people!” and as some protesters started singing the national anthem.

What do the new rules entail?

Germany’s lower and upper houses passed changes to Germany’s existing infection protection law, catering more specifically to the coronavirus pandemic. The new measures will enable the government to impose restrictions on social contact, rules on mask-wearing, drinking alcohol in public, shutting shops and stopping sports events.

Demonstrators who took part in the Wednesday protests did not actively wear masks or socially distance. But one participant wore a face mask with the words “Merkel-Muzzle,” while others held banners with slogans such as “For Enlightenment. Peace and Freedom.”

Critics say the coronavirus laws would give the government too much power and endanger citizens’civil rights.

The right-wing populist AfD has even gone as far comparing the proposed measures with the Enabling Act of 1933 that paved the way towards Adolf Hitler’s dictatorship, particularly in its social media postings. A senior AfD member, Bernd Baumann, drew the same parallel in the Bundestag.

The German art community seems happy about the new laws. A leading arts advocate claims the new laws for the first time recognise cultural events as being distinct from art exhibitions.

German Infection law: A new legal status for culture

Date 19.11.2020
Author Dagmar Breitenbach

Under Germany’s infection protection law, culture is no longer classified as entertainment. Canceling arts events in the pandemic might become difficult.

In Germany’s recently passed Infection Protection Law, culture now has an enhanced legal status as the government fights the coronavirus pandemic by restricting certain fundamental rights enshrined in the German constitution. Previously, decrees were used to meet the crisis — including the weeks-long closure of theaters, concert halls, museums and other venues and the blanket ban of most arts and entertainment events in the Spring, and again in November 2020.

‘Good thing:’ New status for culture

The German Culture Council has welcomed the change to the legislation that now gives culture a special status.

What a mess. If I have understood correctly, under the new laws you might be arbitrarily banned from visiting your family at Christmas or even be required to self isolate by remaining indoors at home, but in the middle of all this lockdown mania you could still be granted a special pass to attend cultural events like Oktoberfest or a visit to Germany’s famous Christmas markets, because major cultural events now enjoy special privileges.

Welcome to the new flu season, folks. We have for your enjoyment new flavors of influenza and a range of new recently mutated coronaviruses to be infected by. With nature’s help, there is no reason to release a designer virus. How nice.

Also, for your enjoyment, we have kept the crappy PCR test that will now produce loads of new and exciting false positives. Thus, everyone has a chance to join in the festivities of quarantine, lockdowns, and restrictions, which have been careful selected by your power-hungry government with no regard for your safety or welfare.

It’s so comforting to know the government always has us in mind, at least in some way.

Always looking for more ways to virtual signal, our officials have been given a moral high ground of politicized and misrepresented “science” to wrap themselves in. After all they are killing us in other ways to avoid catching a deadly virus that is 99.6% survivable, with the elderly most at risk. Way to go, guys—we are so proud—while we have no income, no contact with others, forced to wear useless, actually unhealthy, masks, and suffer from a wide range of medical deprivation.

Why allow normal medical services when you have a flu season that is, well, not far from totally normal? People are so stupid they do not understand that a survivable virus is much more dangerous than cancer, heart attacks, strokes, drug addiction, and general neglect.

Based on the definition of pandemic, we have multiple pandemics every year. But then I heard that the defining feature of this pandemic is that it is not seasonal.

Well now that it is returning to the northern hemisphere in the fall, it is clearly seasonal.

This cannot be declared a pandemic anymore. The pandemic declaration must be rescinded. It never was more than a regular cold/flu season.

Like the Earth’s temperature numbers, the COVID numbers are made up as well. Even Fauci implies it. Because the hospitals get more money from the US government for treating COVID patients, EVERYONE IN THE HOSPITAL HAS COVID. And when you run the PCR test over 35 cycles (which we do here), you are going to get a huge number of false positives. Why can’t you and your ilk understand this?

The value of HCQ is that it operates in two modes: facilitates entry of Zn, and restricts entry of SARS-CoV-2. And as a well understood drug with a well-established low risk profile over nearly a century, it (particular HCQ+Zn+Az) can be administered early with a low dose, complement the body’s defenses, and mitigate disease progression at a cost measured in dollars, not hundreds, not thousands, or more. It’s global use (i.e. signal diversity) confirms its effectiveness beyond a simple coincidence.

I have just been prescribed Plaquenil for chronic inflammation. This is HCQ. The literature states that it takes time for it to accumulate in the body to reach its maximum effectiveness.
So, taking a very sick person and expecting a few doses to work is not within the function of the drug. But I suspect they knew this and failed to mention it when reporting that HCQ doesn’t work. And because azithromycin can cause heart issues with those who are susceptible to QT interval prolongation it should not be used in conjunction with HCQ for those people . I suspect they already knew that also and failed to mention it.

Dear Griff,
you missed the point by a large margin.

The issue is if the individual member of the public is allowed to decide over their way of life, or if we the people must subvert to the culture, behavior and uniformity as laid out by a governing elite.

Why did hordes of people immigrate to North America at the time of the Mayflower to this day and age? There are many reasons, of cause, but one of them being incompetent and irrational ruling in their country of origin.
In North America they could now live as Jewish, Mormons, Atheists, Lutherans, Catholics, Buddists, etc. Free of government tyranny as they experienced in Europe, China and many other places.

Most countries constitutions are vise and people friendly, something worth protecting.
The Greens invite a renewed event like the one in Germany’s 1933 cup, which was conducted in virtually the same way as we fail to see today.
Trump may not be everyone’s favorite, but what Trump & Co stands for is counter to the Green 1933 style cup many (or most of us) get blinded to via Big Tech, Associated Press and world wide elite propaganda and censorship.

One way or another everyone is taking it seriously. Taking something seriously doesn’t mean you have to respond the same way to the problem.

Where I am, the hospitals are starting to fill up and they’re starting to worry about ICU admissions.

The thing that astounds me is that the authorities aren’t aggressively pushing vitamins (especially vitamin d) as a way to decrease the disease. The evidence is that most people hospitalized by the Wuflu are vitamin d deficient.

Here’s a protocol for the prevention and treatment of the Wuflu.

It seems to me that taking the Wuflu seriously would involve aggressively testing for vitamin d deficiency and treating it where found.

Back around 2008 the meaning of a pandemic was changed from deaths to cases.

With an average life span of 81 years , the average age of death from covid 19 is 81 years and with between 1-3 other serious diseases. Is anyone dying who shouldn’t be dying anyway, they are already in the age bracket of normal mortality. Covid 19 has not been isolated and the PCR test cannot tell the difference between a live or dead virus. It is run at 45 cycles when anything above 35 cycles is garbage. With the meaning changed you can make anything look like a pandemic when you feed all this data into the wrong hands.

France, unsurprisingly, is hand in glove with these new restrictions, certified by the Ministry of Truth in Brussels, then imposed under the pretence that our country is still in a state of crisis. A crisis that seems to crush certain ideas on freedom, ideas that form part of the fragile balance of trust between a government and it’s people.

We have absurdity, piled on absurdity, with ailes in supermarkets being cordoned off with tape as you would a crime scene, even different sections laid over with plastic sheeting.

You can buy a USB card, but no children’s toys. You can buy children’s clothes, but not woman’s clothes. You can buy socks…….. no you’ll never guess because you’re not stark raving mad….. but no, you can’t buy slippers. Obvious really when you think about it.

We are squarely “walking on our heads” as we say in France.

They know what they are doing, and they are doing it for a reason.
This is the French Health Minister Olivier Véran before the deputies: “This law, I know does not arouse much enthusiasm in some of you, me neither, but it is essential. We must accept to restrict some of our freedoms to which we are attached “.

Essential……you must accept.

The Infection Prevention Law has been around since years, and has been modified regularly.

The infamous Enabling Law of the 1930’s was crafted by Carl Schmitt, chief jurist then. His methods, crisis management, are the basis for the Patriot Act after the failed Reichstagsbrand of 9/11. Schmittlerians are found all across the transatlantic.

Real dictatorship is right now being planned at the Great Reset of the Davos billionaire club.

Hitler? Saw a brief video this morning of Hitler phoning Biteme and telling him he’s an idiot. Made me giggle.

So wherefore are we in this Covid Crisis? It’s chilly weather coming on, and if you know viruses, you know they seem to enjoy the cold weather – runny noses, sneezing and spraying, coughing, etc. – and the flu raises its obnoxious head, so we get flu shots to avoid it. I don’t see a whole lot of difference between last winter when CV-19 first raised its ugly prickly head, and now, and now it’s back, from outer space, like any other virus and the infection rate has gone back up because people won’t use a little common sense – something like that. But it seems to be rising in cities, not out here in the sticks, so there’s that.

That’s a good reason to stock the pantry, fridge and freezer with stuff, isn’t it? Do what our pioneer ancestors did (well, mine did, anyway) and store stuff to get through winter because you don’t know whether or not you’ll be able to get out of the cave and get a deer or some geese.

Is the grumbling with reinstated restrictions because people can’t go to movies and restaurants like they used to do? There’s no rule says you can’t go outside and take a nice, long walk in the sun, y’know, or take a ramble through the woodlands, even though the leaves are gone. So what’s the real problem?

Yeah, I do think the DDR is becoming a bit over the top but what do you expect when you have a that old Commie dink Merkel in charge of things? She doesn’t know any better and never will. Isn’t it nastier in New Zealand?

Those movies and restaurants are run by people who work their asses off in normal times to put food on the table and pay the mortgage; lockdowns can destroy their businesses, And most Americans work pay check to pay check. They don’t have the luxury and privileges that you apparently have of not having to fret and going for a walk in the woods.

“The German government’s push to enshrine coronavirus restrictions into an existing law”

In the UK a new law was hastily put through parliament (with virtually NO scrutiny), yet most of our lockdown “rules” were enacted under existing legislation. The only possible reason (according to retired Supreme Court Judge, Lord Sumption) is because this prevents parliament from vetoing any of them. Recently, after a threatened rebellion, the small cabal at the top were forced to accept a requirement to have any “significant” changes put to a vote. But since the opposition Labour party are pro-lockdown, they are backing the government! Even the new Conservative “Covid Recovery Group” (apparently numbering up to 100 MP’s – more than the party majority) will probably not be able to stop further measures!

The “lock yourself in your cages, wear masks at home, and don’t hug your family,” Nazis in the US are about to learn what, “Live free or die,” means to a significant part of Americans – it means let me live free, or you die (yes, I know, a slightly different twist on the original meaning). Thank goodness the conservative Supreme Court we now have will in all probability quash any overreach by these would-be dictators before things become violent.

I am looking eagerly to the 2022 elections. Too many people voted against Trump because of his demeanor. When they return to voting based on the politics, the leftward lurch will be given a hard right yank.
