California Governor Apologises for Breaching his Own Covid-19 Lockdown Rules

Guest essay by Eric Worrall

h/t Breitbart; More evidence strict Covid-19 lockdown rules do not apply to Democrats.

FOX 11 obtains exclusive photos of Gov. Newsom at French restaurant allegedly not following COVID-19 protocols

LOS ANGELES – FOX 11 obtained exclusive photos on Tuesday night of Governor Gavin Newsom  allegedly eating at the French Laundry restaurant in Yountville, California at a dinner party he attended on November 6 not following his own COVID-19 protocols he set forth for the state.

Read more: https://www.foxla.com/news/fox-11-obtains-exclusive-photos-of-gov-newsom-at-french-restaurant-allegedly-not-following-covid-19-protocols

This is the latest in a series of recent embarrassing cases of high profile Democrats apparently acting in a way which contradicts their public position on the need for strict Covid-19 lockdowns.

Governor Newsom apparently suggested that the dinner event at which he violated his own Covid-19 lockdown rules was an outdoor event. The risk of Covid-19 transmission is substantially reduced in the open air.

But the photos obtained by Fox seem to suggest the dinner guests were surrounded by four walls and a ceiling, at least for part of the evening.

This only gets air time/coverage on FoxNews and Breitbart and similar outlets. LA Times and major media outlets ignore this Let them eat cake snobbery from the LEft.

And even worse, the majority of California residents obviously don’t care they are being led to slaughter by Liberal-socialists like Newsom and Pelosi, and serial liars like Adam Schiff-Shit-for-Brains and Maxine Waters. They keep re-electing them.

And the UHauls keep flowing out of Cal with the saner folks, too many of whom bring some of that insanity with them to their new state.

Right on, Joel. The other worst attendee was the CEO of the California Medical Association, Dr. Dustin Corcoran. This clearly shows that the CMA, like the AMA, has morphed from a useful medical association to a collection of useful idiots. These type of now dysfunctional groups are front-and-center in other useful (to them) themes, like fighting global warming. It all ends up about their emergence as the Ruling Class.

You’re right in general, but in this particular case, LA Times covered it too, and tweeted the story. That was actually the first I heard about the pics.

The thread that followed had a bunch of people excusing it or saying “well he apologized” though, so it’s not like their readers really care anyway.

Joel it always amazes me how the liberal mind is too incapacitated, when it comes to logic and reason (Thanks in large part to our public school systems) to connect the dots between the oppressive governance they flee and their voting choices when they arrive at their new destination. They keep making life miserable for the rest of us.

The discussion over the next generation needs to be building walls around states to keep the liberals out. Its not “undocumented aliens” those on the right need to worry about, so long as we institute voter ID and eliminate mail in voting. Its Blue state rogue voters.

I don’t understand about voter ID. What’s wrong with having to show photo ID like drivers licence or passport and having a line drawn thrhough your name on the voters listt by the person at the poll? We do that in Canada.

Democrats are totally against voter ID because it makes voting multiple times a lot harder.
Now that it’s become obvious that they are losing the voter ID battle, the Democrats decided to change the game by switching to mail in ballots. Once again no ID required and better yet, the ballots are in the control of a government union worker with no supervision for hours at a time.

What’s the surprise?
These rules don’t apply to politicians/”Important” people.
We’ve had the same in the UK, Labour MP drives from London, to Wales, to visit his father. Excuse? taking “Essential supplies” to him.
The “Eminence Gris” behind the Prime Minister, drives with wife & child, from London to his second home in Durham, stays in a cottage that’s supposed to be a swimming pool according to the planning application for it, then goes on a little 30 mile drive on his wife’s birthday. When all this hits the press, the complete bullshit excuses come out.
SNP MP takes a Covid test, takes the train from Scotland, down to London. Gets the test results back, that she’s tested positive, so takes the train back home to Scotland.
Left, right, centre.

I’m in Albuquerque presently and the Gov has issued Covid panic orders. I went to Walmart yesterday and there was a long line to get in. Near the door was a sign that only 75 people were allowed in at a time. The lady guarding the door was pretty obnoxious. So I asked why 75 and not 80 or 60 people at a time. Of course those were state orders or Walmart orders with no real scientific basis. She had no answer and got upset.
I think that state and other authorities are doing what feels right; pretty insane and no one questions them.

Well to be fair to the “obnoxious” lady, she doesn’t make the rules, has no input into the rules, and if she doesn’t enforce the rules she’ll quickly find herself in the unemployment line. In the meantime she has to put up with smart-arsed customers asking her pointless questions about policies that they should know she didn’t make, had no input into and has no power do to anything about. Perhaps she was “obnoxious” because Mad Mac wasn’t the first obnoxious customer asking her such misplaced questions?

Be upset with the authoritarians that made the rules, not the powerless working class shlubs who have bills to pay and can’t afford to lose their jobs, so have to put up with and enforce the rules their bosses hand them.

Enforcing occupancy limits (regardless of how lacking in scientific basis they may be) is hardly on the same level as committing war crimes, and it’s an insult to the victims of the crimes that were prosecuted at Nuremberg (especially those of the crimes of the Holocaust) to even equate the two. Shame on you Mr/Mrs/other On the outer Barcoo!

Elsewhere there are some who contend that C-19 is a uniform threat across the entire population. That everyone is equally likely to become infected and equally likely to die. That’s the justification for dictatorial shutdowns, masks and trashing the economy and civil liberties. The lying, fact free, fake news MSM left wing propaganda machine certainly does. And according to that same MSM a positive test is a walking death sentence. You will die a miserable, lonely death in some packed ICU and your family and friends you so wantonly exposed will follow swiftly after.

Well, what does the CDC data tell us?
85.3% of C-19 cases are in people younger than 65.
79.9% of C-19 deaths are in people older than 65.
Seems to me the largest percentage of the general herd with natural immunity is shrugging off C-19.
And the too old, too sick, too crammed together in badly run elder care facilities become stragglers culled per Mother Nature’s and the Grim Reaper’s job description.

And the fear-mongering elsewhere’s and MSM are full of s***!

That hope is dead.

We entered second lockdown and the government threw the keys away.

Carl’s conception:
The issue is that the Marshal Law in Germany (covid rules by government decision now overrules the German constitution without concrete reason needs be given) is that the government does not need medical scientific good reasons to lockdown, thus the destruction of the every country, with the exception of China, is on it’s way. You seem to have intuited it quite well. ‘ $$$$ ‘ is generally used to indicate lots of money (denominated in US dollars) without specifying an amount. As you note, eating there can easily bring you a large (for the average working stiff) bill of $350 (or more, depending on what you ordered).

Is Newsom a hypocrite? Yes. Is he a liar? He’s a politician, so yeah. But what this incident really tells us is that he does not believe that C-19 is a deadly threat and/or the suffocating (potentially unconstitutional) rules he imposed on his state are ineffective in preventing infection. Otherwise he would not have attended that dinner or at least insisted that everybody wear a mask. Actions speak louder than words, especially actions when one thinks nobody is looking, so according to our “betters” like Newsom and his Medical/Pharma lobbyist friends, we don’t have to socially distance or wear masks anymore.
