Climate activist & Meteorologist Eric Holthaus has now joined a long line of climate players now fully admitting that the climate “crisis” or “emergency” is not about the science after all.  “The climate emergency isn’t about science, it’s about justice,” Holthaus wrote on July 28, 2020.

Holthaus is also revealing how identity politics has taken over the climate debate. See: NASA scientist Dr. Kate Marvel links ‘climate change’ to ‘white supremacy’ – ‘We’ll never head off climate catastrophe without dismantling white supremacy’ – Calls for climate & racial ‘justice’

Holthaus, a long time prominent climate activist has praised the UN IPCC reports. See: Warmist Eric Holthaus: New IPCC report calls for ‘rigorous backing to systematically dismantle capitalism’

Architects of Green New Deal admit it is NOT about the climate

AOC’s staff has bragged that the Green New Deal is about wealth redistribution, not climate. Former Ocasio-Cortez campaign aide Waleed Shahid admitted that Ocasio-Cortez’s GND was a “proposal to redistribute wealth and power from the people on top to the people on the bottom.”

In addition, AOC’s Chief-Of-Staff Saikat Chakrabarti also revealed that the Green New Deal was not about climate change. The Washington Post reported in 2019: Chakrabarti had an unexpected disclosure. “The interesting thing about the Green New Deal,” he said, “is it wasn’t originally a climate thing at all.” “Do you guys think of it as a climate thing?” Chakrabarti continued. “Because we really think of it as a how-do-you-change-the-entire-economy thing.”

The UN and EPA regulations are simply a vehicle to put politicians and bureaucrats in charge of our energy economy and “save” us from bad weather and “climate change.”

UN official Ottmar Edenhofer, co-chair of the IPCC Working Group III, admitted what’s behind the climate issue: “One must say clearly that we redistribute de facto the world’s wealth by climate policy … One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. This has almost nothing to do with environmental policy anymore.”

In 2009, former Vice President Al Gore touted U.S. cap-and-trade legislation as a method to help bring about “global governance.”

UN climate chief Christiana Figueres declared in 2012 that she is seeking a “centralized transformation” that is “going to make the life of everyone on the planet very different.”

Greta Thunberg explained in 2019: “The climate crisis is not just about the environment. It is a crisis of human rights, of justice, and of political will. Colonial, racist, and patriarchal systems of oppression have created and fueled it. We need to dismantle them all. Our political leaders can no longer shirk their responsibilities.”

Thunberg’s advisor, environmentalist George Monbiot explained in 2019 that in order to prevent “climate breakdown,” a complete change to our way of life has to occur: “We’ve got to go straight to the heart of capitalism and overthrow it,” Monbiot explained.

So it`s a conspiracy?

A book called THE FIRST GLOBAL REVOLUTION from 1991, by «Club of Rome, authored by Alexander King and Bertrand Schneider, on Page 75, it stated;

“In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. All these dangers of course will be caused by human intervention that will require a global response.”

No.
As climategate proved there is substantial collusion and conspiracy behind what little is exposed of the climate alarmist cults.
That situation has not changed; if anything, it is much worse currently.

Holthaus is just another alarmist appalled at how little real regard is given their “justice” climate change alarmism.
So, Holthaus has joined the alarmists who are trying to re-spin “climate change” as a ‘Social Justice’ imperative.

An approach (scam) just as fallacious as their ‘climate change’ alarmism since 1988.

All he has to do is to “identify” as being indigenous and you don’t have the right to question whether that is a biological reality. That would be “offensive” and thus a “hate crime”.

Logic, reason and hard work are just white traits and part of the systemic racism of society. Black folks don’t suffer from those defects, according to Smithsonian.

Now please check your privileged, recognise your white fragility and stop pretending you can use logic to counter the assertions of these beautiful heroes of “justice”.

“proposal to redistribute wealth and power from the people on top to the people on the bottom.”

You can temporarily transfer dollars but you cannot “transfer” power to ineffectual losers.

Nowhere in the natural world , which these charlatans claim to worship as the ideal state of the world, do you find anything but hierarchies of power.

The best you can do is limit excessive concentrations of power. So let’s start with the new Robber Barons of social media.

The thing is, there IS no such thing as ‘white privilege’ – privilege is extended to an elite few – not a majority population. The phenomena of racism exists – but that’s called ‘minority persecution’ – and it’s more than a game of semantics.

See – privilege is something that maybe isn’t earned, or perhaps should be taken away.

No – it’s the PERSECUTION that should be taken away.

But the reason it’s framed that way is because progressives are all about persecution, and directing it towards their ends – this is called elites playing everyone against each other.

And all the little brain-dead twits are following right in line – I saw Megan Rapinoe using her pedestal to proclaim ‘no one deserves white privilege’.

Apparently, in her little world, everyone deserves persecution – or at least whites do.

Personally, I’m of the humble opinion that, if you’re of that special ethnic group that never did anything to anybody, than by all means, bugle it from your high-horse.

Otherwise, just start trying to get along like everyone else.

Yeah, the “homeless” white guy pandering for money with a cardboard sign at a red light intersection I was stopped at here in Tucson, in 108F afternoon heat no less, was really reflecting on his white privilege.

It seems to me that the very concept of “White privilege” is inherently racist. That is, to accuse people born with light-colored skin of having the special privileges of royalty or the wealthy admits to categorizing others based solely on their race. Thus, those using the term are perpetuating racism.

“I checked my white privilege this morning. Funny thing, it’s doing just fine.”

Mine’s doing fine, too.

The radical Left can’t stand the fact that 65 percent of the American population are white.

They would dearly love for white people to be the minority so white people could get a taste of their own racism medicine (ths is their delusion, not mine). But since their wish will certainly not come true during their lifetimes, they do the next best thing and just treat white people like they are a minority now by discriminating against white people and denigrating them in every way possible.

Racism is alive and well on the radical Left. And always has been. First they discriminate against the Blacks, and now they discriminate against the Blacks and the Whites who don’t go along with the radical Left’s agenda.

California liberals have actually proposed undoing some of the anti-discrimination laws so that they can better undertake discrimination against what they perceive is “white privilege.”

“Among legislation the California Black caucus is prioritizing this year is ACA 5, a closely watched proposal that would begin a process to repeal Proposition 209. Prop 209 was the 1996 ballot measure that prohibited discrimination or preferential treatment by public institutions on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin in employment, education or contracting.”
https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2020-06-02/californias-black-lawmakers-proposals-legislature-george-floyd-protests

Undoing Prop 209 would allow reverse discrimination against whites in the name of “affirmative action” to force “equality of outcome”. Equality of outcome is of course the fundamental tenet of Marxism.

In University science and engineering departments and colleges across the county for the past 20 years, most engineering and science professors and Deans sat by quietly while the Social Science departments and Fine Arts departments undertook their chilling attacks on free speech with calls for “safe spaces,” approved language to prevent “triggers”, and the cancel culture of speakers who didn’t fit the Liberal narrative. They didn’t think it would ever consume them and their Science or Engineering academic endeavors.

Now they are facing Diversity Vice Chancellors with institutional power, backed up by the Cancel Mob, that are making demands of these Departments and Colleges of Science and Engineering to implement different grading schemes and awards for “disadvantaged minorities”. We’ve already seen calls for different admission standards from things like the SAT, ACT, and GRE for minorities. So this is the logical progression to force them to submit, to obtain the Marxists’s “equality of outcome” agenda.

If they don’t submit, they will be attacked by the Progressive Mob and thrown into the Gulag too.

I arrived at UCLA in June 1973 and my first assignment was to review oral pathology for a group of 26 students who had entered dental school via affirmative action. They had failed the course. A number of those shouldn’t have been there; they didn’t have the skill sets to perform academically or clinically. Nevertheless, they were passed along because the admin was afraid of the backlash if the students flunked out. Later the school hired a black administrator to help with the problems as they arose. He made countless trips to upper campus to straighten out problems for these students. I still don’t know if all of them finally passed the state board.
At the same time the University set up a separate room in the mens gym for black students. I remember thinking at the time..great way to integrate into the general student population. So things we are seeing now began many years ago.

Back when I was in high school, they actually proposed having a separate certification exam for black medical students. Seems too many blacks were flunking out of the standard exam. Those who passed the special exam were to get the same certificate as everyone else, so that patients wouldn’t be able to tell who took which exam.

From the Earth Insttitute Columbia university web page for their M.A. in Climate and Society:-
“Eric Holthaus came to Columbia University’s M.A. in Climate and Society with a strong atmospheric science background and a preexisting fascination with the natural world that was fostered in his early childhood, growing up along the Great Plains in Kansas.

Eric Holthaus, Climate and Society graduate, class 2006

His dedication to furthering an understanding of climate change and “the social justice of weather” was solidified on an affecting college trip to the Texas/Mexico border where he met a Honduran refugee who was the sole survivor among his family of the devastating Hurricane Mitch. Upon graduating from Saint Louis University with a B.S. in Meteorology, Eric proceeded to the University of Oklahoma where he spent a year studying for an M.S. in Meteorology. While working on his M.S., he assisted Howie Bluestein’s tornado-chasing team by navigating and operating mobile Doppler radars.

Dissatisfied with the narrow focus of the M.S. in Meteorology, Eric applied to the Climate and Society Master’s Program at Columbia University in the hopes of finding a “more broadly based [curriculum that he] could apply to solving real world problems around the general theme of serving society.” Coming from a strong science background in the atmospheric sciences, Eric wanted to learn more about how he could apply his skills to work towards solutions to some of the world’s most pressing problems, like poverty, hunger, and social justice. Eric says, “The multidisciplinary program and the resources of the Earth Institute at Columbia was the perfect location for a scientist like me to easily acquire skills in policy analysis, economics, risk management, urban planning, public health, and countless other disciplines.” ”

Taken together with his comments about all that maths and science in an actual meteorolgy masters degree that about sums the guy up.

The Climate Change stopped being about science in 1995 when US gubment scientist Benji Santer was allowed to get away with his malicious one-man altering of the previously carefully chosen wording IPCC SAR’s Chapter 8 on attribution.
Cargo-cult Benji was probably acting under orders from Veep Al Gore to get something done on attribution in the IPCC report. Then CC Benji had WH top cover to make the ensuing stink go away and defund his critics if they wouldn’t sit down and shut-up. Mark it as the beginning of the modern era of Cancel Culture to protect the climate lies being told. And it slowly ate its way through academic sciences and universities at-large to the complete anti-science mess we have today.

Richard Lindzen’s proposal a few years ago to reduce US government funding of climate research by 90% for about 5 years doesn’t go far enough IMO. Probably more like 95% for 10 years is needed to get rid of the pseudoscientists and the anti-science culture they’ve built.

I’m not sure any CEO is worth the > $20 million/year compensation many get at so many mediocre run companies. So I get the rage the Left has when that happens. It’s just that like everything they do, they attack the wrong target. They target capitalism. But it’s not capitalism that has a BoD approve a CEO’s compensation package of such size even when the company isn’t doing well. That is what happens when BoD no longer represents the share holders.

We see this behavior in any system that doesn’t have accountability from the bottom up. Socialist regimes Venezuela, Cuba, Russia, China, all have leadership cults and their families that live very well, stealing vast amounts of wealth for themselves while their population suffers. So it’s not capitalism. Just old fashioned greed and power.

The problem we have today in Washington DC is a power culture that represents special interests, both the Left and the Right, and Congress has for too long represented them and not their constituents. This is the problem with money in politics and what it costs to run a campaign for Congress today. The Left wants America to think TODAY it is a Problem for Conservatives, this is just projection on their part to deflect away from what they are really doing now.

There is a reason rich billionaires like Michael Bloomberg (who used to be Republican) have become Democrats in recent years, when traditionally those types were the Fat Cat Republican backers. It is far easier and cheaper NOW to buy off Democrats today for the billionaire class than it is to buy off most Republicans.

As long as the MSM spouts divisive rhetoric there will be no harmony among people. It’s no longer science vs. politics, it’s now science vs. ideology. The takeover of the Democratic party by the Progressives (read Marxists) in the USA will be the defining moment that took “United” out of USA. They are now openly stating their true intentions because they believe it’s safe to come out.

They just exposed their filthy laundry :
Pulling Down Our Monuments
https://www.sierraclub.org/michael-brune/2020/07/john-muir-early-history-sierra-club

It is not about justice, Sierra Club itself shows what it about. They are in a desperate state, timing with “BLM” and riots, it looks like crisis management from the top levels.

Yet since the riots are evidently an insurrection against the very existence of the USA, an attempt at a “bloody shirt” used to bring down the Ukraine Government at Maidan, right in the USA, all fed by both Biden’s, and Obama.

So instead of claiming to dump their Sierra Club Confederate history, they are actually feeding an insurrection, rather Confederate what?

Maybe someone just never told Holthouse ? He needs to call upstairs….

It’s all a leftist scam – the enviro BS including the climate and green-energy fraud, the full-Gulag lockdown for Covid-19, paid-and-planned protests by Antifa and BLM – it’s all lies.

We published that the climate-and-green-energy mantra was a false narrative in 2002, and by 2012 I wrote that there was a covert agenda, Now the greens are admitting that climate-and-energy was false propaganda, a smokescreen for their totalitarian objectives.

In 2002 Dr Sallie Baliunas, Astrophysicist, Harvard-Smithsonian, Dr Tim Patterson, Paleoclimatologist, Carleton U and Allan MacRae TOLD YOU SO 18 YEARS AGO:

2. “The ultimate agenda of pro-Kyoto advocates is to eliminate fossil fuels, but this would result in a catastrophic shortfall in global energy supply – the wasteful, inefficient energy solutions proposed by Kyoto advocates simply cannot replace fossil fuels.”

The green objective is to destroy prosperity and move the USA into a planned economy – with a few rich at the top looking down on the many poor peasants. That model now describes most of the countries in the world. Europe and Canada are far down that “road to Venezuela”, and the USA will follow if Biden and the Demo-Marxists are elected.

I independently called Covid-19 correctly on 21Mar2020, while the epidemiology “experts” in the USA and the UK got it so wrong. The data was available, from South Korea, the Diamond Princess cruise ship, etc.

LET’S CONSIDER AN ALTERNATIVE APPROACH:
Isolate people over sixty-five and those with poor immune systems and return to business-as-usual for people under sixty-five.
This will allow “herd immunity” to develop much sooner and older people will thus be more protected AND THE ECONOMY WON’T CRASH.

This full-lockdown scenario is especially hurting service sector businesses and their minimum-wage employees – young people are telling me they are “financially under the bus”. The young are being destroyed to protect us over-65’s. A far better solution is to get them back to work and let us oldies keep our distance, and get “herd immunity” established ASAP – in months not years. Then we will all be safe again.

The USA is the least racist country on the planet. I’ve done business on six continents, in some of the most dangerous countries in the world. I also lived in New York and Houston for ~two years. The world is imperfect – get used to it!

Most countries are much more racist that the USA – at least five countries in Africa still practice slavery of blacks, for God’s sake!
iabolish.org/arabs-and-muslims-own-black-slaves-in-five-african-countries/

George Floyd is a poor poster-boy for the extremists – “Saint George” was a violent serial criminal who once held a shotgun against the belly of a two-month-pregnant woman.

Every place has a few bad cops, but cops in the USA are a lot better than most – they are certainly better than the extremely violent cops in my home town, Calgary. Get rid of police unions and fire and charge the bad cops – that’s the solution!

Too many people believe the blatant lies of the political left – who lie all the time when it serves “The Cause”. BLM is just more political BS!

If the Dems get elected, you can say goodbye to the First AND the Second Amendments. Also, say goodbye to the rest of your basic freedoms – it will be “One Man, One Vote, Once!” The Dems are not-so-covert Marxists – the USA will be just like China and even worse than Russia – the end of freedom!

The book “1984”, written by George Orwell in 1949, foresaw a time “when most of the world population have become victims of perpetual war, omnipresent government surveillance and public manipulation”.

Well here is the REAL “1984”, an interview that year with ex-KGB officer and Soviet defector Yuri Bezmenov, who describes the slow, long-term “ideological subversion” of Western societies. Note Bezmenov’s discussion of ideological subversion. It’s all about manipulating the “Useful Idiots” – the leftists in the West.

The phrase climate emergency comes only from people ignorant of climate science and climate history.

How any right minded person can read that litany of Socialist quotes and still support those people is beyond me. What is important to understand is that any system of governance, and by extension, society devised by humans will be flawed. This is because humans are flawed by their very nature; it is impossible for humans to create a perfect system of governance that will make everybody happy. The best we can hope for is a system that has the least amount of built in bias and assures the maximum amount of people enjoy the maximum amount of happiness. The United States with it’s Constitution, representative democracy, and republican structure (i.e. a republic of States), is the best system yet devised to meet that goal. It does not guarantee equal outcomes, only Socialism and other totalitarian systems do a good job in that regard; and they do it by making the vast majority of the people equally miserable (only the upper echelons of the political class are happy).

You talk about the US democacy as the best system in world. That is not true. On the Worlds rank of democracies US is unfortunately ranked as a incomplete democracy. Not so curious that there are so many poor people in US. The system make the rich ones always have the power. No hope for the poor ones who are getting continuous more and more people. On the other hand we have the scandinavian countries and the social democatries (not totalitarian systems at all), all of these complete democracies with less economic differences between rich and not so rich people.

Of course we can not use the “climate change” to resolve the worlds economic injustice. No reasonable person believe that. It is to many bad democracies or not democracies at all to resolve economic injustice with “climate change”. Are such coutries getting much money from the “climate change”-system, the rich are surely getting most of the money. Perhaps more countries could be social democratic like the scandinavian coutries??? US could try! Oh no, the rich would not permit such a development.

How wonderful for you.

As bad as the US is, our poor live better than do the middle class do in the so called wonderful European states.

What winds your clock is not the idea that poor people exist, rather it’s the thought that there are people who are allowed to get rich.

Wilhelm,
It all depends on who is doing the ranking, doesn’t it? It is easy to bias one way or the other depending on the criteria and how they are evaluated, making them almost totally subjective. By any objective measure, the US has done more to advance and improve the condition of mankind than any other country in the last 200 years. As far as the Scandinavian countries having “complete” democracies, that is just an opinion you happen to agree with; I see them as a hybrid that still prioritizes group “rights” over individual rights in too many instances. As I said, all human systems are flawed, including democracy.

You left out The Bill of Rights, the limits on the Government formed by the US Constitution.
Both are human attempts to realize the ideals expressed in The Declaration of Independence.
(The first attempt, The Articles of Confederation, failed.)
They’ve been chipping away at The Bill of Rights and the US Constitution for decades.
The “they” being those who seek power over individuals rather than preserve the Rights of the individual.

Reply to  MarkW

Yes.
Some amendments changed the text of the original.
The Founders realized early on that how the President and Vice-President were elected needed to be changed.
The original had individuals run and the winner as President and second place as Vice-President. An amendment changed it to “tickets” running for President and Vice-President.
How Senators were originally chosen was up to the individual states. (The Senate was to represent the Governments of the States of The United States equally. The House of Representatives is where the individual citizens had their say.)
An, in my humble opinion, bonehead amendment in the early 1900’s changed that to them being chosen by the popular vote of the citizens of the state. The state Governments no longer had equal representation in the Federal Government.

What about fear mongering on covid ?

Kidding aside, it looks like Moore’s movie had a devastating effect on climate clown parishes.

The other funny point is that if most of those climate scamsters flee away and AGW appears to be what it is, namely, a fraud, all the laws that were passed to fight the AGW will have soon or later to be repealed.

Defunding all those scamsters, stopping CO2 taxes, Carbon credits and “renewables” subsidies would indeed be a great step towards science, true ecology and social and economic equity (aka social justice) 🙂

Since then, his repeated answer to follow-up emails has been silence. Phil is an outstanding physicist. He knows everything there is to know about physical error analysis. He hasn’t written that my analysis is wrong. I’m quite sure he knows it’s correct.

He must know the IPCC position is scientifically untenable.

And yet, the APS position has not changed. So, what’s the problem? Has Phil put politics above science? I don’t know. The silence of the science institutions remains a deep mystery.

The United Numpties are faithful to the ‘never let a good (invented) crisis go to waste’ mantra and have already churned out a 23 page report on the global impact of Kung-Flu (or being pedantic, the self-inflicted impact of the clumsy over-reaction to it)
https://www.un.org/sites/un2.un.org/files/sg_report_socio-economic_impact_of_covid19.pdf
The report is predictably filled with enough social justice worrier fluff to make you vomit. Or perhaps sleep with the lights on when you see where all this is heading:

” …Everything we do during and after this crisis must be with a strong focus on building more equal and inclusive societies that are more resilient in the face of pandemics, climate change, and the many other challenges we face…

…This crisis also has brought into sharp focus the inadequacy of the global response to the climate and biodiversity emergencies…

…Women’s organizations, operating with meagre resources, are often on the front line of community response – supporting those most affected economically by the crisis, ensuring shelters remain open for domestic violence victims, and channelling public health education messages to women. Expansion and capitalization of Funds such as the UN’s Women, Peace and Humanitarian Fund or the UN Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women must be encouraged…

…Economic recovery goes hand in hand with social justice…

…Young women and girls are at higher risk of intimate partner violence and other forms of domestic violence during the pandemic…

…Young people make up more than 30 per cent of the world’s migrants and refugees who also stand to suffer disproportionately both from the pandemic and its aftermath – whether due to limited movement, fewer employment opportunities, increased xenophobia…

… timely information needs to reach everyone, in particular national, ethnic or religious minorities, indigenous peoples, or LGBTI people…

…(thou shalt) Reduce populations in prisons, jails, and immigration detention centres through appropriate supervised or early release…

…(thou shalt) Ensure that social protection plans and emergency economic schemes take a gender perspective and take into account unpaid care by women, specific constraints for women entrepreneurs and women in the informal sector…

…resources available to the IMF need to be increased, by leveraging Special Drawing Rights to rapidly inject resource…”

This is apparently all about responding to Kung-Flu, although I’m sure I’ve heard near identical utterances from the United Numpties when they’ve been venting copious hot-air on the subject of tackling Gullible Warming(TM) as well.

There is the inevitable Robin Hood-con-omics demand in there:
“…(thou shalt) support implementation of a human-centred, innovative and coordinated stimulus package reaching double-digit percentage points of the world’s gross domestic product…”
Which I assume they expect to be collected and disbursed via UN (mis)managed fund managers, sort of like their green slush fund; minus what’s skimmed off the top to pay for the next round of cocktails and canapes in UN towers of course. On his weblog, Martin Armstrong asserts this ‘support’ is planned as a 10% global tax, but I didn’t find the statement buried in the UN document.
https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/world-news/corruption/un-want-global-power-to-tax-10-for-the-coronavirus/
Perhaps he referred to this:
“…A large-scale, coordinated and comprehensive multilateral response amounting to at least 10 per cent of global GDP is needed…”
Which doesn’t sound like a 10% tax on everyone, it sounds more like a few of us are expected to cough-up the equivalent of 10% of GDP, while the rest cry poor or hide their folding stuff away in trust funds or charitable foundations.

The corker was this nugget of stupidity versus reality in imagining the ‘opportunities’ to be seized when passing their hat for a global whip-around:
“…This will also require creative thinking about how to mobilize large injections of concessional finance – not only from multilateral development banks but also from private lenders such as pension funds, who will be in a hunt for low-growth investment opportunities…”
Just who wants their pension funds investing in a low growth ‘opportunity’ FFS?
One would be better advised to invest in which ever tech company Bill Gates and his mates in ID2020 award the contract to make RFID dog chips to insert behind your ear when we’re all forced to accept our ‘fundamental and universal human right’ to prove our identity with a ‘portable digital ID solution’.
https://medium.com/id2020/about
That’d be the digital ID that among other things they can scan before you’re allowed to go to work, or anywhere public for that matter, to prove you’re immunized against a novel corona virus that allegedly mutates so fast that achieving herd immunity is futile. Sounds rather like the ‘mark of the beast’ stuff they were on about in Revelations, but I digress…

And those ill-gotten gains should be used for?
“…(thou shalt) support the COVID-19 response launched by WHO with humanitarian agencies, which will assist 51 or more of the most vulnerable and conflict-affected countries in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Latin America where the impact on people will be particularly severe in the absence of assistance…”
In other words, having referred to their map of affected countries on page15, the loot should go to those countries which, mostly, are the least affected by Kung-Flu.

And naturally the overtures of one world government in all but name aren’t hard to find:
“…this crisis cries out for leadership, solidarity, transparency, trust and cooperation. This is no time for self-interest, recrimination, censorship, obfuscation or politicization. The tone set by leaders at the national and local level matters. While temporary border closures, travel bans or limits on the sale of critical supplies may be warranted in the short-term, such national-level measures must not impede a global coming together and global solution…”
Yeah right. ‘Global coming together’; sounds like we’re to be assembled and knelt before our enlightened superiors for the reverse of a bukkake scene.

United Numpties vultures, career ineptocrats and social justice worriers must all be loving that lab in Wuhan and the incompetent git who let Kung-Flu get out. For 30+ years unelected, unaccountable, ineffective ineptocracies have been bleating incessantly about the need to fleece everyone and impose regressive my-way-or-the-highway excuses for policy based on the gullible warming(TM) bogeyman story that they keep harping “could, maybe, with some confidence”, make the weather a degree or two nicer for our grandkids. Which of course will somehow be so much worse for women, people of colour and the alphabet people. I guess progress has been modest because it’s just been too hard to keep vilifying and silencing those pesky ‘denier’ folks. I guess it also hasn’t helped that the weather hasn’t lived up to the expectations of the climastrologist’s computer games.

Now in the space of a few months they’ve managed to convince everyone that Kung-Flu is a boogie-man that’ll rip your head off and defecate down your neck by tea-time tomorrow if we don’t all roll over, take their self-flagellation orders without hesitation and now they’re adding that thou shalt start paying scutage; as if the black death had descended yet again and the solution was Robin Hood-con-omics without due diligence. Just trust the ex-spurts. And most of the world’s sheeple seem to be sucking it right up.
…Except when a convicted criminal gets murdered by a rogue copper, then there’s apparently ‘a just political momentum’ that can’t risk being interrupted by taking precautions against a pesky chest cold, so the looters and rioters get a free-pass from the social distancing rules, as well as laws relating to robbery, vandalism, arson, assault, murder and so on.

If they weren’t such a gormless, useless, deceitful, conceited bunch of greasy little toe rags I’d almost be impressed with the creativity of the parasites at the United Numpties.

So I reckon Eric Holthaus might just have found himself riding the slow ‘all-stops’ GUllible Warming(TM) gravy train while it is being overtaken by their new HS2 version of World Government by Kung-Flu Trojan horse gravy train, and in a moment of soul-crushing despair, he’s let his guard down in respect to his real motivations.

So I’m working for a living and paying a bunch of my hard-earned to keep this swamp filled with scum; I really am in the wrong game.

The problem with “justice” as an end is that “justice” is in the eyes of whoever has the most guns and is willing to use them.

For most liberals, justice means “I get what I want”.

“The climate emergency isn’t about science, it’s about justice.”
I know, right? It’s the same with the space aliens emergency. No science, it’s about popcorn for all. Buttered, or not, maybe with some nutritional yeast – sky’s the limit. Maybe even a popcorn palace in the sky for the aliens. They might decide to come in peace, you never know.

It’s always been about politics and economics, never about climate. Alarmism generates clicks and instigates action. It’s a foolproof recipe.

July 30, 2020 4:54 pm

The climate emergency certainly isn’t about science, this was shown early on by the fraudulent behaviour of those involved in it and it is not about ‘justice’. These people would not know ‘justice’ if it fell on tgem. It is simply about control. This control is that exhibited by Marxists, Socialist and their fellow runners, Fascists. These people have primitive urges disguised as altruism but which are in fact, a psychosis mis-shapen by their limited intelligence.

He can lie, be wrong about the science, fail every prediction, but he means well so it’s ok…said every leftist ever.

Trump needs to send the Paris Climate Accord to the senate as a treaty so it can be voted down and eliminated forever.

If you add violence or threats of violence to this rhetoric, he should be charged with sedition. Otherwise, can the CAGW crowd be charged with fraud?

And as we’ve seen from the way they’ve reacted to Trump, they want a new system only if it is THEIR system and, most importantly, that THEY are in charge.

July 31, 2020 4:15 am

It not even science.
The basic concept that the power of the sunlight should be instantaneously spread over the whole surface of the Earth (divide intensity by 4) before the light has even entered the atmosphere means that in the distorted world of climate science the sun shines onto the ground at night.

The whole article can be summarised by “The bigger the lie the more it will be believed.” (Goebbles I think)
The real shame lies with the scientists who know the truth and remain silent. And the legion of “Climate Journalists” who swallow and publicise every lie.

What wonderful people these are: They are lying to our faces “for our own good”. Go to heck- I don’t want your version of leadership.
I would rather say in this age, that it is high time the people who feel this way sent themselves to Mars or some other far away place and govern themselves accordingly. We’ll get the popcorn and watch the results. Without any peasants it should be pretty entertaining!

I lose sleep over climate change’ – Warmist Meteorologist Eric Holthaus admits to ‘soul-crushing despair’ – ‘I confess: I need help’

Indeed, looking at his pic, Holthaus does look like someone suffering from some kind of mental issue. But I won’t lose sleep over it.

I don’t think the public are as ” leftist ” or as naive as these charlatans believe, but there is a grave danger that under the immense weight of disinformation ,lies and hysteria being thrown at them, they will mentally capitulate and just accept the alarmism nonsense. It will get worse as IPPC 2022 approaches.Get ready for “Its worse than we thought ” about -well anything and everything really!
As a UK Scot I’m ashamed to say that the BBC is by far the worst MSM offender -and that’s in a highly competitive field- due to its world – wide coverage and lunatic journalists .I urge everyone to swamp them with complaints although be clear-they won’t uphold them -but it will annoy them! And it just might slow down the stream of rubbish propaganda. They need a dammed good sueing!
But the bedrock of alarmist claims is definitely NASA(ie NOAA’s) adjusted (faked) temperature data which lowers past temperatures and elevates the present. These records need to be examined by expert and independent statisticians .If NASA’s data falls -and it will- then the whole house of cards will fall and the MSM will not be able to ignore it.Perhaps the whole history of the alarmist scam ( including Climategate ) can then be investigated.
Pat Frank -can I respectfully suggest that you wait at Phil Bucksbaum’s office door and DEMAND a response to your paper. You are obviously an able scientist with integrity -it would help if you are 6ft2in and built like a brick shxthouse (or arrived with a friend who was!) Good luck and keep telling it!

I’m just tossing this out there, cause of their soul crushing despair….but have they actually tried /doing/ science instead of just believing in what other people say?

You know, cause…..science….not doomsday cults.
