I believe this quote will define the Trump Presidency, in much the same way that Franklin Roosevelt trumpeted “A day of infamy” and Winston Churchill extolled “Our finest hour”.

It is abundantly clear that the global warming/climate change scam was never about the climate – it was always a smokescreen, a false front for a Marxist takeover of our democracies – the end of freedom.

Intelligent use of these scarce global resources could have easily saved as many people as were killed in the atrocities of Hitler, Stalin, or Mao.
50 million people died in Hitler’s WW2. Josef Stalin killed another 50 million of his own people in internal purges. Leftist hero Mao gets the prize, killing as many as 80 million Chinese during his Great Leap Backward.
The radical environmental movement has done equally well, rivaling Mao for fatalities caused by the banning of DDT and the misallocation of scarce global resources on the fraud of catastrophic humanmade global warming.

It’s not the app, like VLC player (which I have), that is the problem. In fact, sometimes XP will play a Youtube video but it’s hit and miss. I have a browser add-on that will let me download any video that is playing on my webpage, but the webpage has to make the connection to the source file of the video before the add-on can find it, and for some reason I have a hard time getting to that source file on YouTube. I’ve had occasions where the webpage will connect to the video source but will then refuse to play it, but if it connects, even for a second, then the add-on can find it and download it, and that’s what happens sometimes.
I have another computer running Windows 8, but it is not hooked up to the internet at the present time. It works just fine with Youtube.

Eight years of Trump is not enough. Although by the end of his second term he may get most of our serious problems solved. He is well on the way to doing that right now. Sounds like you’re saying, if Trump is innocent, he should turn over privileged information of everything from tax returns, to all conversations with all lawyers, to cabinet officials so the dem’s could spin whatever they want and continue their investigation.
He’s already done that for Mueller… and what did that do? He was 100% innocent of the alleged behavior. So, now he turns over the transcript of the conversation that was supposedly bribery… which is a high crime. The act of turning over these conversations compromises the president’s power, but he did it to show how stupid the allegations were.

The Dems had their chance to call witnesses, in the House. And they passed. A Bolton aid was subpoenaed and asked the Courts to rule on whether or not he should testify, rather than make the case to the courts (as is the constitutionally correct way to handle it) the House withdrew the subpoena.
They could have subpoenaed Bolton, but again that would have required them making their case to the courts, so they again passed. They passed because they claimed it was too urgent to wait for the courts, but then they sat on the impeachment articles for over a month, so much for urgency!
The only one who should get to call witnesses in the Senate is the Trump team, seeing as the House completely denied them that opportunity (an Opportunity Bill Clinton’s defender were given 20 years ago). But you don’t want to hear from the witnesses Trump would call. You are happy with Trump not being allowed to call witnesses, not being allowed access to the documents of the House’s closed door secret witness interviews in the basement of the capitol, not being allowed to cross examine the witnesses in the House interviews, not being allowed to confront his accuser (the so-called whistleblower), and basically not allowed any of the due process that is every American’s constitutional right.
The Dem’s job now is to present the “overwhelming” evidence they say they have to the Senate to try and convince the Senate to remove. Their job is not to keep fishing for “evidence”. It can’t be all that overwhelming if you need *more* witnesses in order to make a case.

I don’t know if we have another dynamo like Trump waiting in the wings but we have some younger, common sense conservatives who can step in and continue on up the road Trump built. I like Nikki Haley, she has her head on straight with regard to national security, which I consider the most important trait for a president. Just off the top of my head I could think of a dozen conservatives that could probably fill the bill. Although, before I could say that definitively, I would have to hear what they had to say on every topic.
But realistic national defense and security policies are top requirements. This disqualifies any Democrat, even Tulsi. Sorry Tulsi. I like you otherwise, but you are weak on national defense. Yes, I know you served and I appreciate that, but I think you and the Left and a lot of Republicans are taking the wrong lesson from the Iraq war.
The lesson you should take is military intervention can be successful and can lead to the invaded country eventually benefiting from the intervention, but the key is who is running the show. Under Bush, Iraq was doing just fine at the end of his term, then Obama took over, and things went to Hell in a Handbasket as Obama did all the wrong things like not suppessing the Islamic Terror Army and inviting Iran to come in and take over Iraq.
Interventions work, but not under Democrat administrations. The U.S. won the Vietnam war. The Democrats took power and threw all the blood, sweat, and tears expended right down the toilet and caused the death and displacement of millions of innocent people in Southeast Asia. They did the same thing in Iraq. And Tulsi and Tucker want to blame it on military intervention per se rather than on how the aftermath was handled.
Intervention has worked out well in the past: Germany, Italy, South Korea; and South Vietnam should be on that list, but for Democrat appeasement and fear or just plain ignorance. Iraq may eventually get on that list if Trump can get things straightened out. No help from the Democrats on that, either.
Democrats are incapable of defending the United States because they have a distorted view of reality which causes them to make very bad decisions. Fear dominates their thinking in such circumstances and bad guys can smell fear.
Look at how our current Democrats undermine Trump’s efforts to instill fear in the Mad Mullahs of Iran. If the Mad Mullahs think Trump will hurt them badly, then they will back off, but the Democrats insert uncertainty about that in the minds of our enemies with their attacks on how Trump has handled the whole affair. They are giving aid and comfort to our enemies.
And the Democrats do this consistently. They are really our worst enemies. If we showed a united, tough front to our enemies, they would back off. But we don’t show a united front which only encourages the dictators to push their envelop to see how far they can go. It was always so, and it will always be so. Strength and Force is what murderous dictators understand and will respect, but you have to convince them. A quivering Democrat is not very convincing.

I imagine the speech was teleprompted but either way it was phenomenal. Hardly mentioned by the BBC of course. (See Sedgwick in his book BBC Brainwashing). In contrast Thunberg came across as hysterical and silly in that serious if outdated forum. Even after our Clown Prince’s ignorant effort, I guess CEOs will go away thinking about Trump’s speech. Trump did get a clap for his trillion trees which was depressing. Beautifying? Fine. Carbon dioxide capture? Forget it.
The trillion trees thing was unnecessary but he then said he supports better management of forests and that’s a good thing. It may help reduce fires in CA and Australia. It will help keep America “the wood basket of the world” which will allow production of high volumes of high quality wood at a good price. It will also provide jobs for rural workers. In recent years, the climate hysterics have now turned against any forest management because they don’t want any trees cut. Here in Massachusetts, they’ve filed a bill that would stop management of state forest land- almost a million acres in a very small state. He is also absolutely right. All the data (e.g. the OECD human wellfare index) shows that mankind is prospering as never before. History clearly shows that, not surprisingly, mankind prospers during the warm periods and sufferes during the cold periods. All the doom mongering is just that: doom mongering.
But much remains to be done. I hope President Trump will do much more during his second term. Making science transparent is a great step forward.

Trump hit a home run. A clear contrast to the socialist agenda so beloved by international groups. Price at the pump in my area down to $2.12 a gallon down from an average of about $2.27 which prevailed for months. Keep in mind that this decline happened while tensions with Iran were super high. Venezuela is cut off to the US market. Libya is in turmoil. Tight oil and gas has been an economic miracle for the USA.
When you have the courage to make the attempt and free markets that allow it to happen good things flow. Trump is right about blue collar wages in America. A tight labor market minus mass illegal immigration is pushing them up. Duh

Trump could have just said that wind and solar generation aren’t capable of totally replacing fossil fuels without a miraculous leap forward in storage technology or long distance transmission. Therefore coal and gas power stations need to remain part of the generation mix.
Trump mentions God a few times in his speech so the question is: If carbon dioxide is ok up to 4000 ppm then why didn’t God put 20 times as much coal & gas reserves so that civilization could last longer? If carbon dioxide in atmosphere above 400 ppm leads to run away global warming then why did God put as much reserves of coal and gas as there is already?

Try VLC player, it does play YouTube videos and runs under XP with SP3 installed (Apparently).
It’s not the app, like VLC player (which I have), that is the problem. In fact, sometimes XP will play a Youtube video but it’s hit and miss. I have a browser add-on that will let me download any video that is playing on my webpage, but the webpage has to make the connection to the source file of the video before the add-on can find it, and for some reason I have a hard time getting to that source file on YouTube. I’ve had occasions where the webpage will connect to the video source but will then refuse to play it, but if it connects, even for a second, then the add-on can find it and download it, and that’s what happens sometimes.
I have another computer running Windows 8, but it is not hooked up to the internet at the present time. It works just fine with Youtube.
May need an update or different add-on. YouTube is always changes things behind the scenes in order to foil those types of add-ons.

Sounds like you’re saying, if Trump is innocent, he should turn over privileged information of everything from tax returns, to all conversations with all lawyers, to cabinet officials so the dem’s could spin whatever they want and continue their investigation.
He’s already done that for Mueller… and what did that do? He was 100% innocent of the alleged behavior. So, now he turns over the transcript of the conversation that was supposedly bribery… which is a high crime. The act of turning over these conversations compromises the president’s power, but he did it to show how stupid the allegations were.
However your party did not charge him with bribery or any Constitutionally listed crimes for which Impeachment can be a remedy.

The Dems had their chance to call witnesses, in the House. And they passed. A Bolton aid was subpoenaed and asked the Courts to rule on whether or not he should testify, rather than make the case to the courts (as is the constitutionally correct way to handle it) the House withdrew the subpoena.
They could have subpoenaed Bolton, but again that would have required them making their case to the courts, so they again passed. They passed because they claimed it was too urgent to wait for the courts, but then they sat on the impeachment articles for over a month, so much for urgency!
The only one who should get to call witnesses in the Senate is the Trump team, seeing as the House completely denied them that opportunity (an Opportunity Bill Clinton’s defender were given 20 years ago). But you don’t want to hear from the witnesses Trump would call. You are happy with Trump not being allowed to call witnesses, not being allowed access to the documents of the House’s closed door secret witness interviews in the basement of the capitol, not being allowed to cross examine the witnesses in the House interviews, not being allowed to confront his accuser (the so-called whistleblower), and basically not allowed any of the due process that is every American’s constitutional right.
The Dem’s job now is to present the “overwhelming” evidence they say they have to the Senate to try and convince the Senate to remove. Their job is not to keep fishing for “evidence”. It can’t be all that overwhelming if you need *more* witnesses in order to make a case.

I noticed that Trump seemed very comfortable at Davos. I think the reason is because of the success he has had. In previous trips to Davos, he could only tell the Elites what he was going to do. With this trip, he can show the Elites what he has done and it is impressive by any standards. I think the Elites are warming up to Trump a little bit. If they were smart, they would emulate him.

I don’t know if we have another dynamo like Trump waiting in the wings but we have some younger, common sense conservatives who can step in and continue on up the road Trump built. I like Nikki Haley, she has her head on straight with regard to national security, which I consider the most important trait for a president. Just off the top of my head I could think of a dozen conservatives that could probably fill the bill. Although, before I could say that definitively, I would have to hear what they had to say on every topic.
But realistic national defense and security policies are top requirements. This disqualifies any Democrat, even Tulsi. Sorry Tulsi. I like you otherwise, but you are weak on national defense. Yes, I know you served and I appreciate that, but I think you and the Left and a lot of Republicans are taking the wrong lesson from the Iraq war.
The lesson you should take is military intervention can be successful and can lead to the invaded country eventually benefiting from the intervention, but the key is who is running the show. Under Bush, Iraq was doing just fine at the end of his term, then Obama took over, and things went to Hell in a Handbasket as Obama did all the wrong things like not suppessing the Islamic Terror Army and inviting Iran to come in and take over Iraq.
Interventions work, but not under Democrat administrations. The U.S. won the Vietnam war. The Democrats took power and threw all the blood, sweat, and tears expended right down the toilet and caused the death and displacement of millions of innocent people in Southeast Asia. They did the same thing in Iraq. And Tulsi and Tucker want to blame it on military intervention per se rather than on how the aftermath was handled.
Intervention has worked out well in the past: Germany, Italy, South Korea; and South Vietnam should be on that list, but for Democrat appeasement and fear or just plain ignorance. Iraq may eventually get on that list if Trump can get things straightened out. No help from the Democrats on that, either.
Democrats are incapable of defending the United States because they have a distorted view of reality which causes them to make very bad decisions. Fear dominates their thinking in such circumstances and bad guys can smell fear.
Look at how our current Democrats undermine Trump’s efforts to instill fear in the Mad Mullahs of Iran. If the Mad Mullahs think Trump will hurt them badly, then they will back off, but the Democrats insert uncertainty about that in the minds of our enemies with their attacks on how Trump has handled the whole affair. They are giving aid and comfort to our enemies.
And the Democrats do this consistently. They are really our worst enemies. If we showed a united, tough front to our enemies, they would back off. But we don’t show a united front which only encourages the dictators to push their envelop to see how far they can go. It was always so, and it will always be so. Strength and Force is what murderous dictators understand and will respect, but you have to convince them. A quivering Democrat is not very convincing.

I imagine the speech was teleprompted but either way it was phenomenal. Hardly mentioned by the BBC of course. (See Sedgwick in his book BBC Brainwashing). Trump did get a clap for his trillion trees which was depressing. Beautifying? Fine. Carbon dioxide capture? Forget it.
The trillion trees thing was unnecessary but he then said he supports better management of forests and that’s a good thing. It may help reduce fires in CA and Australia. It will help keep America “the wood basket of the world” which will allow production of high volumes of high quality wood at a good price. It will also provide jobs for rural workers. In recent years, the climate hysterics have now turned against any forest management because they don’t want any trees cut. Here in Massachusetts, they’ve filed a bill that would stop management of state forest land- almost a million acres in a very small state. Of course they all live in nice wood homes with nice wood furniture and tons of paper products- and as climate hysterics they love driving their cars, heating their homes with oil (like most people in New England), they love flying in jets and few are vegetarians- I know because I ask them and it’s not that I think they should stop enjoying their cars and home furnaces or that they should stop flying in jets or eating meat- I just ask them how they reconcile their hatred of fossil fuels while actually enjoying those fuels- and enjoying all that wood in their homes while wanting to stop all tree cutting.

He is also absolutely right. All the data (e.g. the OECD human wellfare index) shows that mankind is prospering as never before. History clearly shows that, not surprisingly, mankind prospers during the warm periods and sufferes during the cold periods. All the doom mongering is just that: doom mongering.

Price at the pump in my area down to $2.12 a gallon down from an average of about $2.27 which prevailed for months. Keep in mind that this decline happened while tensions with Iran were super high. Venezuela is cut off to the US market. Libya is in turmoil. Tight oil and gas has been an economic miracle for the USA.

People in your team will dismiss this because it is CNN, rather than address the issues they raise. It is easier to do that as a Trumpkin than defend the indefensible. So many times I have heard people dismiss the impeachment inquiry or change the subject when presented with evidence by saying stuff like “but he is doing a great job. Unemployment is down and the economy is flying.” While these things may be true they are separate issues. Presidents need to honour the office. Sadly this man honours himself first, then his cronies.

All the rest was hearsay and Supposition by people, most of whom never even met Trump, all of whom were not on the phone call or otherwise involved in the discussions between the White House and Ukraine.

1.We have the call transcript, there’s no discussion of linking aid to any investigation.
2.The two principals on the call, President Trump and President Zelenskyy, have both stated there was no linkage of any aid to Ukraine dependent on any investigation.
3.The Ukraine government had no idea that aid was being held-back pending confirmation of the stable intent -no corruption- within the new Ukraine administration.
4.President Zelenskyy didn’t announce, didn’t start, and didn’t acknowledge he was going to start any investigation to get the aid released; and it was released without contingencies.

Trump could have just said that wind and solar generation aren’t capable of totally replacing fossil fuels without a miraculous leap forward in storage technology or long distance transmission. Therefore coal and gas power stations need to remain part of the generation mix.
Trump mentions God a few times in his speech so the question is: If carbon dioxide is ok up to 4000 ppm then why didn’t God put 20 times as much coal & gas reserves so that civilization could last longer? If carbon dioxide in atmosphere above 400 ppm leads to run away global warming then why did God put as much reserves of coal and gas as there is already?
Mr Trump had some problems with the teleprompters. Not his usual great performance.
