Actually, that is only true on paper and in the minds of AGW/CC bureaucrats who “deemed” burning wood pellets to replace fossil fuels is carbon neutral.

“In the name of cutting CO2 emissions, four of the six Drax generating stations were converted to burn wood chips over the last seven years, at a cost of £700 million ($1 billion). Hailed as “the biggest decarbonization project in Europe,” this facility now consumes about 9 million tons of wood pellets per year, shipped 3,000 miles from the US and Canada.
An estimated 4,600 square miles of forest are needed to feed the voracious Drax plant, with acres of forest felled each day. Replanted trees will take half a century to regrow. Despite the decarbonization claims, the CO2 emitted from the Drax plant is far greater today than when coal fuel was burned.
Burning wood for electricity is just one more foolish policy in the “fight” against global warming.”

The Truth About CO2 and Global Warming

LONDON: In Britain, we may soon be sitting in an impoverished, dark country, with a trashed economy, incessant power cuts and dismal standard of living, caused by and idiotic dogma. The British are like a thirsty man refusing to drink from a tap because of a water shortage, while his local water company leaves hundreds of leaks unrepaired, allowing thousands of gallons to drain away each hour

In Britain, we are enduring one of the nastiest and stupidest outbreaks of intolerant, irrational zealotry since mankind emerged from the Dark Ages, which we now seem not to have emerged from as it appears to have been lurking just below the surface, masked by a feigned veneer of scientific rationality all the time.

I know about the fierce joy which comes from despising others only too well, and I fear it. One of the most dispiriting versions of this joy was to be seen in the painted, beatific faces of the red-robed mime-artists who are to be found on so many of the demonstrations demanding that Britain should commit economic suicide. What is going on behind those self-satisfied, ethereal expressions? They recall the Age of Inquisitions, which we once might have thought we had escaped.

Anyone practised in debate will take on a rational opponent, but there are some causes you can’t reason with and global warming is one of them. Climate demonstrators prefer fury to logic. This is always the sign of someone who is not sure of his own case, and hates to hear his inner doubts spoken, which might explain why no climate demonstrator has ever responded to any rational argument about the climate.

Britain recently closed and demolished Didcot ‘A’ coal-fired power station, an efficient, reasonably modern plant with a generating capacity of 1.44 gigawatts. Why? Because caution is not allowed in the great cause of cutting CO2 emissions. Consider these facts: 259 gigawatts (180 Didcots) of new coal-fired capacity are under development in China. That’s on top of the 993 gigawatts of coal-burning capacity China already possesses (690 Didcots). Britain’s whole electrical generation capacity, in all forms of power, is 85 gigawatts (59 Didcots). If we gave up using electricity entirely, it would make no difference at all to the impact of Chinese coal burning on the atmosphere – not that it ever did anyway. None. Not any. Zero. If we completely abolish all our fossil-fuel generation, including gas, it would likewise not matter in the slightest – except to us, our economy and our standard of living.

China’s planned increase, yes, increase, in coal power is three times the size of our whole electricity-generation industry – wind, nuclear gas, and all. India is also increasing coal generation and last March reached a coal capacity of 200 gigawatts (139 Didcots), but thanks to the political and media class’s dim acceptance of shouted propaganda, and their rejection of reason, we are already damaging ourselves.

Wind generation only functions thanks to huge subsidies, paid for by the poor, and is vulnerable to power cuts unless it is backed up by fossil fuel or nuclear generation. This is a futile, self-harming gesture and those demonstrators, ignorant and engorged with self-righteous rage, demand more futility. Britain is heading into the cold and dark, while the red-clad propaganda mob mummers, simpers, and gesticulates.

London Underground commuters attacked two Extinction Rebellion protestors in Canning Town. They were only saved by transport staff spotting this on CCTV and swarming in to stop them being injured. What you may have missed is that at the same time other Extinction Rebellion protestors were being attacked at two other underground stations, and this time it was the Transport Police that spared them from the furious crowd.

The Extinction Rebellion leaders saw how the public was getting an appetite for attacking their activists, and called off a planned blockade of Gatwick airport which was going to be a spectacular that closed the airport down.

There was another Extinction Rebellion protest at Oxford Circus when the protestors erected a scaffold at a road junction which stopped the traffic in four directions. The protestors were not attacked again only because a large number of police surrounded them and kept them safe from the enraged public. There were a lot of complaints from the public about why were the police were protecting the Extinction Rebellion protestors instead of arresting them and charging them with obstruction? etc.

Meanwhile, the sanctimonious climate hypocrites continue to live their nice comfy lives. One Extinction Rebellion leader recently took a holiday in Costa Rica which entailed flying over 11,000 miles. And have you ever heard of a billionaire like Bloomberg being inconvenienced by a climate protest or giving up their luxury lifestyle?

Here’s an idea: take their electronic junk away from them. Arrest them, empty their wallets – whatever – but knock them off the net. All that stuff sends out signals and tracks you. Shut them off.
