Polish Police Raid Rainbow Warrior Climate Protest, Arrest Protestors

Guest essay by Eric Worrall

Greenpeace have experienced a setback in their effort to stop global coal shipments.

Watch: Polish Border Guards Storm Greenpeace Boat Blocking Coal Shipment

BREITBART LONDON
10 Sep 2019

Video footage from Greenpeace showed the armed guards breaking a window to get into the captain’s bridge on the Rainbow Warrior, a tall sailing ship, and shouting that everyone should drop to the floor. The boarding occurred about 11 p.m. Monday.

Marek Jozefiak of Greenpeace said the ship’s captain and one activist remained detained Tuesday, along with the ship. Jozefiak, the coordinator of Greenpeace’s Climate and Energy campaign in Poland, expressed surprise at vehemence of the border guards’ actions against what he called a “peaceful action in defense of the environment.”

What can I say? Western governments might tolerate Greenpeace’s economically damaging theatrics, but other cultures are less patient.

After 6 years of the Second World War and 45 years of Communism, the Polish People have had enough suffering and pain and are now able to move against anti-social forces absolutely freely.

They should do the same to the ‘open arms’ ships on the Mediterranean sea who work like a taxi service picking up customers in front of the African coast.

Awful funny looking “Tall Sailing Ship” (not a sail in sight) looks more like a diesel powered cargo ship that was converted to GreenPiece usage. Must run on Rainbows and Unicorn Flatus.

Why is that the Catalan, and the Scotish SNP, both declaring independance, swear absolutely loyalty to Brussels?
What kind of independance is that?
Funny how Brexit put that on the table.

Their only hope of getting any independence is to appeal to the EU civil rights commissions to put pressure on Spain. It is the only way out. It doesn’t take deep thought why the Catalans at least tacitly support the EU. But yes the people there, even though rich by Spanish standards are particularly socialist. It is much like San Francisco is relatively rich when considering average income, but also particularly socialist.

Feel you could safely add Ireland to that list, bonbon.

There is a deep public culture of blaming English oppression for absolutely everything – despite being independent for nearly 100 years now – yet they are almost gleefully happy to be a vassal state of Brussels.

Bunch of hoods if you ask me.

Describing the Rainbow Warrior as a “Tall Ship” is a bit much. With the amount of sail it has it would only sail at about force 7 – 8.

Good! They should be held without bail and then given very lengthy prison sentences for their crimes against humanity. They won’t try any pranks like that in Russia anymore. If they are able to do this against liberal countries that don’t protect their citizens, then people will die from cold in winter and other related survival emergencies. It is bad enough they are doubling and tripling everyone’s electricity bills making survival for the poor a daily challenge. These people should be identified globally and put on no fly lists, and their passports taken away. How long would China put up with this nonsense?

Wisent bison? Is that the same as a bison bison or a wisent wisent. I suppose in Canada it might be a buffalo wisent bison, though the partially informed prefer the English mispronunciation of wisent (bison) to the misapplication of the ancient Greek for antelope (buffalo). My father drank Zubrowka wisent bison buffalo wodka.

You are entirely correct Sir!

Many climate skeptics have been ASSUMING that the radical enviros share our human values and THAT assumption is FALSE.

The radical enviros are anti-human and consistently oppose moves to increase supplies of economic energy that will improve the wellbeing of humankind. This explains their apparently nonsensical opposition to oil and gas pipelines, hydraulic fracturing, the Canadian oilsands, etc. and their apparently irrational support for inefficient, ineffective and environmentally destructive wind and solar power schemes.

The radical enviros stance is NOT primarily about the environment – that is a smokescreen – their objective is to increase energy costs, cause energy starvation and reduce human population. Their seemingly nonsensical positions are all consistent with this theme and are also consistent with their following statements.

http://green-agenda.com/index.html

”My three goals would be to reduce human population to about 100 million worldwide, destroy the industrial infrastructure and see wilderness, with its full complement of species, returning throughout the world.”
David Foreman, co-founder of Earth First!

Stephen Schneider, Stanford Professor of Climatology, Lead author of many IPCC reports

”Unless we announce disasters no one will listen.”
Sir John Houghton, First chairman of the IPCC

”It doesn’t matter what is true, it only matters what people believe is true.”

”Childbearing should be a punishable crime against society, unless the parents hold a government license. All potential parents should be required to use contraceptive chemicals, the government issuing antidotes to citizens chosen for childbearing.”
David Brower, First Executive Director of the Sierra Club

”We’ve got to ride this global warming issue. Even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing in terms of economic and environmental policy.”
Timothy Wirth, President of the UN Foundation

”No matter if the science of global warming is all phony… climate change provides the greatest opportunity to bring about justice and equality in the world.”
Christine Stewart, former Canadian Minister of the Environment

”The only way to get our society to truly change is to frighten people with the possibility of a catastrophe.”
Emeritus Professor Daniel Botkin

”Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn’t it our responsibility to bring that about?”

This from Strong was a classic: “Current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class – involving high meat intake, use of fossil fuels, appliances, air-conditioning, and suburban housing – are not sustainable.”

Is there one shred of evidence to suggest that he ate less meat, travelled less, turned his aircon off? And as for “suburban housing”, I doubt if he would even be able to find suburbia or recognise it if he did!

THE COST TO SOCIETY OF RADICAL ENVIRONMENTALISM
By Allan M.R. MacRae, B.A.Sc., M.Eng.
https://wattsupwiththat.com/2019/07/04/the-cost-to-society-of-radical-environmentalism/

1. Introduction.

Ever wonder why extremists attack honest scientists who oppose global warming and climate change hysteria? Ever wonder why climate extremists refuse to debate the science?

It is because global warming and climate change alarmism was never about the science – it was always a false narrative, a smokescreen for the totalitarian objectives of the extreme left.

The novel “Nineteen Eighty-Four”, written by George Orwell in 1949, foresaw a time “when much of the world has fallen victim to perpetual war, omnipresent government surveillance, historical negationism and propaganda”. It now appears that Orwell had remarkable foresight.

Here is the real “Nineteen Eighty-Four”, an interview that year with ex-KGB officer and Soviet defector Yuri Bezmenov, who described their long-term program to ideologically undermine the western democracies. Jump to 1:07:30 for Bezmenov’s discussion of “ideological subversion”. It is all about manipulating the “useful idiots” – the pro-Soviet leftists within the democracies.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3qkf3bajd4&feature=youtu.be

One commenter on the video wrote: “this is crazy, almost everything predicted by this guy is already happening.” Bernie Sanders, AOC and other socialist-Democrats are openly saying what Bezmenov predicted decades ago. The last democracies are under attack by leftist extremists.

All over the world, countries that once had a future have fallen into dictatorship, poverty and misery. It is notable that of the ~167 large countries in the world, most are totalitarian states, and all but “the chosen few” citizens of these countries suffer under brutal leftist dictatorships.

Radical greens have used wildly exaggerated stories of runaway global warming and climate change to stampede the gullible, in order to achieve their political objectives. The greens claim to be pro-environment, but their policies have done enormous environmental damage. Radical greens have also been destructive to humanity, causing millions of deaths.

More evidence:

The global warming / climate change scam has NO scientific credibility – this false hypothesis was disproved decades ago by many credible scientific observations, which concluded that climate is NOT highly sensitive to increasing atmospheric CO2.

So what is really happening? Why have we been bombarded for decades with unscientific propaganda about a false climate crisis?

My hypothesis is that nobody could be this scientifically wrong, this incredibly stupid, for this long – they must have a covert agenda.

I continue to assemble evidence of that covert agenda, which is the totalitarian socialist control of Western society and the end of democracy.

This hypothesis is not at all improbable – more than half the world’s population already live in totalitarian “socialist” dictatorships, which are really more like absolute monarchies / oligarchies. A few “Gods” on top who live like kings, feasting on the “peasants” who subsist way down below.

The following is just some of my evidence from the USA and the UK – more to follow:

The extreme-left political agenda was recently revealed by Saikat Chakrabarti, chief of staff for Democratic New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who said:

“CHANGING THE ENTIRE ECONOMY”, The Wall Street Journal, July 12, 2019
https://www.wsj.com/articles/notable-quotable-changing-the-entire-economy-11562970210

“The interesting thing about the Green New Deal, is it wasn’t originally a climate thing at all, … Do you guys think of it as a climate thing? Because we really think of it as a how-do-you-change-the-entire-economy thing,”

The same plot is unfolding in Great Britain. Prof Sir Ian Boyd, the government’s chief environment scientist, said the public had little idea of the scale of the challenge from the so-called Net Zero CO2 emissions target.

“CLIMATE CHANGE: BIG LIFESTYLE CHANGES ‘NEEDED TO CUT EMISSIONS’ – DEFRA CHIEF SCIENTIST”, BBC News, August 29, 2019
https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-49499521
[excerpts]

“People must use less transport, eat less red meat and buy fewer clothes if the UK is to virtually halt greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, the government’s chief environment scientist has warned.

Sir Ian Boyd has lifted the lid on the reality of the programme. We will all have to accept big lifestyle changes – travel less, eat less, consume less.

But eventually some form of compulsion or rationing will be necessary, if climate targets are to be met.

The Science and Technology Select Committee let the cat out of the bag last week, when they officially announced “In the long-term, widespread personal vehicle ownership does not appear to be compatible with significant decarbonisation”. https://www.bbc.com/news/business-49425402

When they ultimately find themselves being told what they can and cannot consume, where they can travel and what foods they are allowed to eat, they will be furious about the way they have been misled.”

Regards, Allan

The root of the cause is a desire for freedom. The catalyst was the PRC obviously violating the conditions of the treaty they signed with GB for the handover. What is happening now was bound to happen later. It is happening sooner because China is clearly violating the terms of the one government two systems terms of the treaty that were supposed to remain in effect for 50 years after both parties signed the treaty 1n 1997. It would have happened later when the term of the treaty expired anyway. But the fools that harp about the trade war now such obvious blatant disregard by the communists for the conditions they agreed to in a treaty don’t want to talk about things like that, anymore than such people want an honest debate on climate change.

It will be sobering for the Greenpeace anarchists who have traduced the once good reputation of Dr Patrick Moor’s worthy organisation if the Polish authorities sell the vessel to recover costs associated with blocking trade.
Let us start fighting anarchists with sensible legal controls. Treat these drop out know nothings, in the same way the rest of society is treated i.e. we have to comply and live within the law.
If the Green anarchists wish to change those laws, then the ballot box exists and the opportunity to get public support for their wrecking ideology is there waiting for them.
Virtue signalling Green zealots, freeloading on the backs of tax payers and funded by the bank of mom and dad in too many cases, has got to stop.

Greenpeace is not composed of anarchists, they are really the opposite of anarchists. Anarchy means “no masters”. What Greenpeace wants is to impose its own agenda on everyone else (or is it just the West?), that is to be a master. Be careful with your choice of words, otherwise confused definitions make the words mean nothing. Call them troublemakers or socialists.

Excellent that the Polish government is standing up to these eco-liars instead of the mindless grovelling seen in far too many of Europe’s governments when these fools come to town.

I do like the idea of no-fly listing these activists – we should start with the likes of Emma Thompson and Al Gore and the Clueless family .

It was the French secret service that did the sinking unfortunately causing a fatality I believe. The Poles are a nation of handsome men and beautiful women of great bravery and a long and sad history in which their country’s borders have fluctuated many times. Just a taint of anti- semitism in WW2. They cracked ENIGMA first.

Yes few know that.
Not the Brits.

You do realise you are both wrong don’t you? It was of couse the Indians that cracked ENIGMA along with every other scientific advance including the explanation of gravity long before Newton stole the idea. Note of caution, I believe the Islamic world are making similar claims to those being made by partisan Indian authorities, so who knows? Maybe it was the Saudi’s who first broke the ENIGMA codes.
Eat your hearts out Bletchly….those Brits eh, what do they know?

Actually, Rod, Mike is right. The Bletchley enterprise was set up because it had been demonstrated that the code could be broken by a polish guy working on his own in Warschau on early versions of the Enigma machine, which was a device made for commercial applications at first, when the Brits and others were busy with appeasing the nazis.

Ed,
The Brits and the Poles are friends of long standing. It was the decision of the British to defend the Polish nation invaded by Hitler, that crystallised into the Second World War.
I have no desire to decrease any input made by our Polish comrades during and since that conflict. Those of us involved in new ideas and new methods of doing things know it is rarely an individual alone that is responsible for the advance, it is always an amalgamation of ideas under the allowing lead of the project head.

Believe it or not, until fairly recently the Enigma machine, or at least a derivative of it, was still being used by some Swiss banks to trade/pass sensitive information between branches. My Institution had a talk & demonstration of a late model about 12 years ago as a bit of fun. The machine wasn’t infalible, certain keys never showed twice oreven not at all, all part of the code-braking process!

In Turing’s biography it says there was a small Polish team that worked on creating the look up tables and they were funded at some point by the British. Removed to the UK, the team was expanded but the going was tough. Turing came up with a plan to automate the elimination of wrong answers. The input from his buddy to add a diagonal wire (shown in the movie) was critical because it speeded the elimination process greatly. Massively. I don’t think the Poles were told about the machine. It was probably the best kept secret in the UK. The fact Enigma-encrypted messages could be read was kept secret until the 1990’s. That’s because it was used for diplomatic cables for several decades after the war, by many countries. It also means that news and events on a large scale were “managed” and orchestrated by those in the know, largely to keep secret that there were no secrets. Many died to maintain the pretense. A lot of what the public thinks of as derring-do and a fortune series of random events were actually charades. There are no secrets, nothing is secure and no one is your friend.

After the war, a group of British Enigma staff members were shown around a German encipherment station where the tour leader proudly showed them rows of neatly arranged Enigma machines, bragging that they had never been beaten. The Brits didn’t smile or say a word, of course. Must have made their jaws ache for hours afterward.

It is interesting to see the amount of effort spent to protect the fact they were reading the German’s signals. They might code break and discover that a convoy was sailing from Italy to North Africa, but then had to ‘discover’ it using conventional means before it could be attacked. The British went to great efforts to maintain recon aircraft in Malta just to ‘find’ Italian/German shipping they already knew existed via ULTRA.

It is also interesting to note that the only real time they Germans achieved strategic surprise was when the commanders in North Africa disobeyed their orders from Germany. During Sonnenblume the German forces had been ordered to prevent further CW offensives into Libya and wait for a proper build up of forces before attacking. The CW forces knew this because they were reading the German code and transferred some units to Greece and some back to Egypt for complete refitting.

Rommel, being an egotistical chappy who got to write his own performance reviews, decided that waiting was for the boring and attacked straight away, giving cries of ‘you are not meant to do that!’ from both German and British command.

The paradox here is that Rommel was successful in advancing because the CW had stripped their forces back so much they had no intent on actively defending. Rommel advanced a LONG way (which looked great on the maps), ran about 85% of his panzers into the ground and then, once he reached Tobruk, was forced to attack with the small handful of tanks he still had operation.

(spoiler? Failed)

He was then over extended supply wise and politically in a situation where he couldn’t just retire West to shorten his supply lines and the ability to actually attack with overwhelming force (which was only about a month away when 21st Panzer was turning up) was lost forever.

Rommel’s ‘success’ basically cost the Germans the entire campaign, but we tangent.

So yeah, back on topic, Poles Good, Greenpeace Plonkers.

The Poles invented the sets of look-up tables. The Enigma was essentially an electro-mechanical method of looking though a very large set of tables that did not pre-exist.

It is not generally understood that the Enigma machine did not work by finding the correct set of wheels and the settings for each, in other words “the solution”. It worked by eliminating billions of combinations that were not correct. Anything left over might be correct.

Every now and then it would stop and show a combination that could not be ruled a wrong answer. This was manually tested and if it didn’t work, the Enigma machine would continue churning out alternative possible solutions. In most cases one would be found.

It was not the brilliant job of deciphering the ENIGMA code but the stupidity of the NAZI top to believe that their system was indecipherable what is mind boggling.

The Poles will object to that ‘other cultures’ because they are a country firmly on the side of modernity in the western world. And always have been. Remember it was a Polish army under John Sobieski that broke the siege of Vienna in 1683 and kicked the invading Ottoman army back to where it came from. Maybe at some point in the future they will come to rescue once more, but for the moment countering the green hordes appears to me a good start.

I believe the actual date was 9/11, 1683! Hence the significance of the 9/11 New York attacks, retribution, it just took them a few years to get around to it!

That is indeed why the hijackers chose that date. When Sobieski and his Winged Hussars broke the siege, it ended the last-ever (recognized) jihad. The hijackers hoped to start another. They did manage to provoke us to do some stupid and destructive things, including creating the TSA, but so far they have not got us engaging in new Crusades unless you count Iraq and Afghanistan.

Since Vice President Pence was just in Poland and made some unusual comments, I picked up this :
https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-09-03/pat-buchanan-who-won-and-who-lost-world-war-ii
“Why did Britain declare war for a cause and country it could not defend? Why did Britain turn a German-Polish war into a world war that would surely bankrupt her and bring down her empire, while she could not achieve her declared war goal — a liberated and independent Poland?”

That is a very good question.
Some in D.C. still don’t get it. Britain’s Churchill use of Hitler to attack east went awry after he went west. FDR’s biography shows how then Churchill came begging for help. FDR knew by 1936 war was inevitable.

So it looks like Poland was just bait in that geopolitical Great Game. I am sure some in Poland realize this.

Now US troops arrive in Poland – are the neocons baiting again?

“are the neocons baiting again?”

Who are these neocons? I can think of only a few names, and none of the names I can think of have any influence on the international situation, as far as I can see. So why should we be afraid of the neocons? I don’t see any neocon warmongers stomping through the halls of government. I think this is a conspiracy theory.

Sometimes, your allies aren’t. Nations have a right to put their own best interests first. Russia and China understand this; the U.S., perhaps somewhat, but the Europeans nowadays, not at all.
