Green New Deal advocates: “Pipeline and resource development leads to man camps, human trafficking, and child-porn rings.” And these people want to govern a nation…

I really didn’t want to write this post. It is vile and disgusting and incendiary, and can only serve to increase polarization. But the comments in the headlines were actually said, in a church, by activists, while the likes of David Suzuki and Naomi Klein sat approvingly in the audience. And Canada needs to hear what Green New Deal people actually are thinking, if their madness is to be part of the upcoming election.

The following comments were made during an Green New Deal town hall meeting at a church in Toronto recently, as reported by the National Observer. An activist lawyer had this to say about Canada’s resource industry, verbatim from the article: “(Pipelines and resource developments) involve large numbers of man camps, and wherever there are man camps or any kind of natural resource development, you have high rates of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls, human trafficking, high rates of child-porn rings — both in Canada and in the U.S.” [emphasis added, but not needed]

This is where we are now at, folks. There is no bottom to the barrel. The National Observer considers this to be news, and their pallid, hateful readership considers it to be relevant dialogue. Every single one of them considers such filth to be part of a platform to govern a nation.

Naomi Klein filled in some more blanks, in case anyone was unsure of where she stood: ““We have a governing party that talks a good game about climate, but still behaves as if the only industry that can create good jobs is the oil and gas industry, and that’s just simply not true.” …Misinformation will be a huge problem moving forward, Klein said.”

It defies common sense to think that these conversations are happening outside of an asylum. It is simply unreal to think that an accomplished author like Klein could listen to a speaker talk of a link between pipeline construction and child-porn rings, then complain minutes later about how the oil and gas industry’s employment numbers are “misinformation”. We have moved from discussions about CO2 levels to attempts to link resource extraction with child pornography. The Green New Deal and its acolytes can sink no lower. No matter what you think about the ethics of business – and I will be first to say that Wall Street and Bay Street are light years from being ethical strongholds – remember these comments when you sit in the ballot box and contemplate voting for anyone that smells of the Green New Deal.

The gap between those that are responsible for keeping the world running and those that engage in mindlessly vicious climate change rhetoric is widening at an alarming pace, and it is becoming absurd. Consider that, because of the binary nature of the debate, to state publicly one’s approval of Canada’s petroleum sector and its ability to be a part of the world’s unfaltering supply requirements is now to approve of “cultural genocide”, “human trafficking”, and “child-porn rings” – their words, not mine. Providing the fuel that keeps us alive, including heat in winter and food on the table, is now deemed to be activity that fosters child pornographers.

Plenty of camp men and pedo-rings in Vatican City, I don’t see what this has to do with natural resources, or open borders.

The homeless squalor on streets leads to man camps, human trafficking, and child-porn rings.
And don’t forget, diseases and plagues.

The old Occupy Wall Street* was man camps, human trafficking, and child-porn rings.

*Occupy Wall Street (OWS) was a left-wing protest movement that began on September 17, 2011, in Zuccotti Park, located in New York City’s Wall Street financial district, against economic inequality.

I love the questions about how fairly income is distributed. They immediately insert the presupposition that income is distributed by someone, as opposed to the actual meaning of a statistical distribution. This, then, is the opening for them to call for redistribution of income, in a manner that was never than distributed in the first place.

Insanity is clearly contagious. Outbreaks of mass hysteria were and remain commonplace. The politically correct choose to overlook the common human tendency to be wrong en masse, perhaps because it feels too close to home for them and definitely because of the strong associations group delusion has with the female spectrum genders. Nobody should speculate on the madness of movements like warmunism without first reading some of the many cases of mass hysteria that have been well documented and the many more that are probable examples (though we can’t call it hysteria anymore because that alludes to the female predisposition which must be denied whatever the cost to truth).

There is no bottom of the barrel because “saving the planet” from your sinful automobile driving is a “Moral” imperative. They want total control of every single aspect of our lives in North America and Europe. You will hear very little from them about Russia, SE Asia, India or the People’s Republic of China. When asked why not the response usually is something like, “Wealthy western democracies need to set the example for those countries to follow.” Ask Trump how it is going with negotiation with the PRC on trade.

How do I know this, well I have been told more than once to my face by environmental leaders, lawyers and lobbyists. This was before they determined I was not a true believer, a heretic. Actually been called that among other less nicer names.

The end justifies the means. If you get in their way you become a target. Agenda 21 and the push for One World Government is out in the open. It’s up to us to stop it with our votes. Those that cannot vote or the votes are meaningless (China?) already have their defense mechanisms taken from them. America, and the free world along with it, are at a crossroads. AGW is their method of stealing freedom from us.

It was always “out in the open”, as it’s merely a set of recommendations. Neither the U.S. federal government nor any state or local governments are legally bound by the United Nations Agenda 21 treaty, as even the Republican National Committee accurately asserts in their 2012 Winter resolution.

“It is unethical to see no clear path to unbounded Energy as anything but an existential threat.

Sound familiar? That is similar to the tactic fronted by frenetic climate alarmists who are trying to push a dozen pet agendas and several for-profit agendas crafted specially for them, all at once — rallying the people over a global average temperature signal that is presently buried in noise, and a CO2-to-temperature causation that may turn out to be nil or even backwards.

Unfortunately there is an international scam in progress and the scammers are clever, they have seized the moral high-ground because it had been left unoccupied and undefended. Those who praise humanity and progress for its own sake, and would remind others we should never judge ourselves in haste, must have wandered off somewhere.”

News from Ontario, Canada. Wind and solar are not effective for reducing C02 emissions.

Reference: “Ontario’s Electricity Dilemma – Achieving Low Emissions at Reasonable Electricity Rates”. Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE). April 2015.
https://www.ospe.on.ca/public/documents/presentations/ontarios-electricity-dilemma.pdf

Page 15 of 23. “Why Will Emissions Double as We Add Wind and Solar Plants ?”

– Wind and Solar require flexible backup generation.

– Nuclear is too inflexible to backup renewables without expensive engineering changes to the reactors.

– Flexible electric storage is too expensive at the moment.

– Consequently natural gas provides the backup for wind and solar in North America.

– When you add wind and solar you are actually forced to reduce nuclear generation to make room for more natural gas generation to provide flexible backup.

– Ontario currently produces electricity at less than 40 grams of CO2 emissions/kWh.

– Wind and solar with natural gas backup produces electricity at about 200 grams of CO2 emissions/kWh. Therefore adding wind and solar to Ontario’s grid drives CO2 emissions higher. From 2016 to 2032 as Ontario phases out nuclear capacity to make room for wind and solar, CO2 emissions will double (2013 LTEP data).

– In Ontario, with limited economic hydro and expensive storage, it is mathematically impossible to achieve low CO2 emissions at reasonable electricity prices without nuclear generation.

I would suggest they not phase out their nuclear capacity. I know that won’t sit well with the windmill companies but it’s just common sense. Of course, common sense doesn’t put dollars in the pockets of the windmill promoters.

Obviously, it’s not about reducing CO2, to the genuises promoting this idea.

“Man camps” — just seems sexist to me, … prejudiced against men.

If the men are gay, then does this make any difference? Are they referring to straight men? Inquiring minds want to know.

Would women camps be okay? Does being a woman automatically eliminate a person from having child-porn interests? Why aren’t there women camps anyway? — I thought we were all equal. Are women, as a gender, biased against drilling for oil? — Is it the drilling thing? — inserting something into a personified female Earth? — raping the Earth with those long pipes? — is that the problem for women working in the oil-drilling labor force?

Should we not call these “equal-opportunity camps”, and speak of “equal-opportunity child porn and humun (yes, I meant “… mun”) trafficking?”

Has survival itself become loathsome? Are we all better off dead? Is that the message?

I get the feeling that the fanatical pursuits of gender equality and gender fluidity are creating lots of anxiety, self torture, and unhappiness, both in the people promoting it, and, certainly, in the people forced to endure the endless public broadcasting of associated manifestos.

Is anybody well adjusted anymore?

It’s a beautiful Sunday here — a great day to rant.

Perhaps they should switch their attention to where there is real evidence of exploitation of vulnerable women, or more particularly young girls, by sexual predators. They could start with the NGO Oxfam. The U.K. charities regulator has just given the “charity” three weeks to explain how they will put procedures into place to protect staff and those in disaster areas Oxfam is active in from being molested, raped or abused in return for food and shelter. Oxfam spent years hiding what its people were up to in places like Haiti rather than act to prosecute the perpetrators and is still unconvincing in its pleas and protestations of acting in good faith.

It would have been simpler if the pathetic U.K. Charity Commissioners had just told Oxfam and the rest of us what Oxfam would actually have to do to get closed down – perhaps flat out murder and forcing women into prostitution would have cut it?

The thing everyone misses is that the uncontrolled and uncontrollable proliferation of NGOs around the world, unaccountable to any governance and with an impregnable sense of self-righteousness allowing them to ignore any democratic accountability is wrecking human progress and doing little or nothing to help the really needy in the poorest parts of the world. The environmental NGOs are a particular sharp example of how corrupt these organisations have become. Taming these monsters seems to be beyond anyone at the moment.

What are man-camps? Sounds like sexist stereotyping.

Wouldn’t a better solution be to promote women into high paying resource sector jobs?

Or are women less capable of operating heavy equipment, with AT, AC, PS, and PB pretty much standard everywhere?

Do we really need to limit women to admin/clerical roles?

If anything, adding women to the workplace improves moral and male behavior. Because the vast majority of men want to see women treated with the same respect they would want for their mothers, sisters and daughters.

One only need look at how harshly prison populations treat sex offenders to see the truth in this.

We should be talking about the opportunities for women to make $100,000 plus in resource sector jobs, to buy their own homes, and to achieve financial independence.

If their are green jobs the by all means make these available as well. But if we shut down the resource jobs then a whole lot of unemployed workers will be looking to fill those same resource jobs. Which means lower wages not higher.

“Now it’s plain that nothing is too nasty, too stupid or too much of a lie to be beneath their attempts to use it.”

Unfortunately, that is true. In their delusions, the Liberals (leftists) believe they hold the moral high ground on every political and social issue which means anyone who doesn’t see things their way must be immoral and evil and therefore anything they can do to destroy the immoral one is acceptable. That’s how they justify being extremely nasty, hateful people towards their political opponents.

June 16, 2019 1:07 pm

Let’s also notice that “man camps” is used in a way that implicitly assigns evil to men.

Men are evil. Therefore, “man camps” are concentrations of evil.

This is the final and logical outcome of 50 years of Feminist partisan slander, directed against men. Naomi Klein is as responsible for that noxious result as any one of the rest of her ilk could be.

We’re seeing right before our eyes a basic human failing, in which they can become insane in groups by way of slippage of normalcy until it becomes insanity.

This process explains the move to WWI, how Germany fell into national idolatry, and all the rest of the precipitous ideological societal phase changes that marked the 20th century and its mass murders. The remarkable phenomenon of infectious mass insanity.

“Human trafficking? Like rich drug lords oppressing the poor fleeing Central America for the US? Tbe Left is now against that?”

No, apparently the Left is in favor of women and children being raped and sold into prostitution, seeing as how they won’t lift a finger to stop the invasion of the U.S. southern border sponsored by the Drug Cartels.

The American Left is apparently in favor of allowing drug trafficking across the U.S. southern border and have no problem with the tens of thousands of deaths from overdoses caused by this criminal activity. The United States is losing as many people to drug overdoses in some years that equal the number of U.S. troops killed in ten years of the Vietnam war (58,000). This doesn’t seem to be a concern of the American Left

To the American Left it is all about opposing Trump, but even deeper, it is about them trying to preserve socialism as Trump is in the process of exposing the delusion of socialsim. Trump is an existential threat to American socialism. That’s why anything and everything goes in their efforts to stop Trump. And their efforts are not paying off as Trump’s popularity continues to increase and this makes them even more desperate to undermine Trump. Meanwhile, their undermining of Trump is actually the undermining of the United States on a huge scale.

The Democrats are a pathetic party. They have no business running this nation. If they didn’t have the MSM on their side, they wouldn’t have anything going for them.

So… what I want to know is when Laws will be passed making it illegal for more than 4 men to camp together. I mean if Man Kamps are dens of iniquity, well … just as their are anti-loitering and anti-demonstration-without-permits laws, so should there be anti-man-camps laws.

If the ACLU is more than just a room full of politically motivated rubber-stamping fascists, then they should immediately take the new Law to the Supreme Court, or more locally, for adjudication as to the constitutionality of picking on one over-represented group of people — namely men — and not affording similar approbations against boy camps. Boy Scout camps in particular.

However, it does present something of a problem, because if the ACLU and Planned Parenthood and FEMA (Females Equalizing Managerial Aspirations) going along for the tea party, it would suggest that equalization is the remedy. Equality of representation. Non-co-mingled-but-proximal multigender camps and labor units. Nonlethal taser level cattle fences between them, or just around the most-likely delinquent group — the men — and to keep mingling from happening during work, the women would all assume equal-pay managerial roles. Men dig. Women watch. Right?

The above paragraph was parody, if it isn’t obvious enough with the faux-metatags.

Amazing that such socialist-derangement-syndrome drones as Klein seem to think that a government’s role and purpose is to create wealth and jobs for citizens!

BZZZT!

No dummy – FAIL.

It is the role of all private citizens to create private businesses and private capital and productive assets that generate private employment which do that, and which then pay taxes required to fund a minimalist government.

That is what actually makes a society function and not go into ruin and socialist decay.

It’s stunning that anyone would listen to such bass-ackwards misguided grandstanding socialist lumps of deadwood.

As always, liberals believe that those who disagree with them are evil. And in their minds (if I can use that term so loosely) there is not bottom to what evil people will do.

Of course the inevitable next step is extermination camps for those who don’t adhere to the true religion.

“Sheila Gunn Reid of TheRebel.media reports: David Suzuki is taking his oversized ego and equally huge carbon footprint on a zig-zagging junket across the world’s second largest country to warn us all about the dangers of using fossil fuels.”

Eventually the wolf in sheep’s clothing reveals the ugliness of its true appetite.

In Russia in the 1930’s the communists in power saw any who had power besides themselves as a threat, and this included the very yeoman farmers who Thomas Jefferson stated were vital for democracy. Communists slurred them as “kulaks” and sent them to Sibera by the hundred thousands. Then, having destroyed all their best farmers, Russia experienced one of the worst famines of its history.

The phenomenon of the left attempting to smear oil workers simply seems a new way of deeming fellow men “kulaks” and subhuman. It is all about a one-party-system, and not a two-party-system. It is insanity, and must be countered by sanity.

Although you state you “really didn’t want to write this post”, posts like this must be written. It is not “crying wolf” when the wolf is real.

Charles – I hope you are wrong about: “There is no bottom to the barrel.“. The mind boggles about where they might go next.

Just so you know, the main homeless camp growth markets are in CA and NY. Yes, the two states most noteworthy for pipeline project stalling.

You can almost always invert the authoritarian left arguments. If we have the green new deal and don’t have cheap energy, it will lead directly and immediately to high poverty, increased crime and all of the bad things they falsely claim will come true if we do have access to life’s basic needs.

You can level whatever criticisms you want at Ayn Rand. “She’s not a real philosopher” “Her prose is long winded” “Her characters are simple archetypes” Doesn’t matter…the woman was a damned psychic.

As a former oil field worker in remote area’s in can attest to the FACT that most workers at these camps are there only to work for MONEY and Go home. I have heard this drivel from the lefty IDIOTS since its inception as far back as 1990. One of the former managers of a remote oil field installation actually stood up and gave us a speech on HIS concerns about the use of these camps and the effect that they have on the local populations. After about 7 minutes of listening to this garbage one of the spokesman for the trades group actually stood up and called BULL SHEET to his face. When this supervisor turned to his management team for support they were all looking at the ceiling or the floor or their navels and did not respond. What the agenda was at that time this supervisor was trying to promote was to use local people to be employed to do the work or to construct the camps well away from the local towns to prevent any interaction. First off their was not enough trained bodies in the area to do the construction and second the local businesses that would benefit from the camp workers were never consulted. Always remember that with the left it is about control and power. Fear mongering is always used to try and attain a goal. If you hear “Think of the children” be afraid.

Trillions thrown down a hole for fairytale “climate mitigation” rather than working to increase prosperity for the poorest of the poor creates human trafficking, opiate and cocaine trafficking, mass migration to the developed world, dictatorship, and unimaginable misery for millions yet unborn.
