Nearly a year after it’s release, The Politically Incorrect Guide to Climate Change, By Marc Morano (Regnery Books) continues to surge to number one in its categories. The book is a “#1 Best Seller in Climatology” on Amazon as of February 8.
The book, which is in its 4th printing has surpassed Carl Sagan’s book Cosmos to once again take the number one spot in Climatology.
The book also outsold Rachel Carson’s iconic “Silent Spring” at Earth Day in 2018.

Barnes and Noble in Kennewick has been avoiding all the skeptical books in last couple years. I have asked for a couple of the books and this one you posted about, they say they don’t have it.
I think it is deliberate, since they DO sell it elsewhere.
Either that, or their copies are flying off the shelves.
Ask them if they “carry it” rather than have it. If they say no, inform them that your book future book buying business will go to the first bookseller you locate that does carry it. Then have your friends do likewise over the course of a week. Once they realize their foolishness is costing them hundreds of customers perhaps they will wise up.
They were not carrying them either, I have asked about that too.
It is plain there are some censors in the store.

I think they do that because the Manager there is a determined warmist who wants to prevent exposure of skeptical books, you keep ignoring the part where they have prevented ANY skeptical books from being on sale in THAT store. I haven’t seen one in recent years there, I have to buy at Amazon online to get the desired books. It would have been nice to travel 2 miles to buy it there the same day I want it…….
This is clear censorship going on, where they completely exclude a certain topic of skeptical books while allowing the opposite warmist viewpoint of that same topic to be available for purchase, since YOU know they are printing and selling books in many B&N stores and on the website as YOU pointed out, they can easily sell skeptical books in the Kennewick store.

Have you ever visited the Kennewick Barnes and Noble store?
In the Kennewick store they have a lot of books they have to mark down 40-75% in the attempt to sell them off. 10 Years ago, that was a small area of the store, now it has doubled in size and growing. The new area is right near the main outdoor entrance, with a large selection of liberal, leftist slanted books dominating the area, this in a strongly conservative region of South Eastern Washington, which is likely why they have to mark down a lot of the books to make anyone want to pay for fireplace material?
Hardly anyone in Tri City area buys warmist climate books, since they are there on the shelf a long time then gets moved to the 50-75% mark down shelf, which is quite large. I know since I used to visit that place often when I am at the Columbia Center, they have a lot of empty shelf space in the category where most climate skeptic books could have been found found in.
Al Gores garbage are commonly sold at 50% or more down, yet they have stocked more of his crap there anyway, now they seem to have realized last year that Al Gore doesn’t sell, since his stuff no longer show up as new books, just those huge markdown books is where it is still found. DR, Mann’s books rots there too, so does a few other warmist stuff now rotting there and then vanish, now there are large empty areas. But still no skeptical books at all……

Now it is clear you fail to acknowledge that this store is located in a REPUBLICAN dominated region, they stand to lose sales when they avoid selling books to the people of the region who would have a reason to desire them as I do.

B&N has lost another customer because of their bias, it is a large store with plenty of room to sell skeptical books in, in a dominant republican majority Tri-Cities, poor business practice in action.

I think it was through there that the grant came to Ellensburg to install 5 funny little wind turbines. [One blew over, the entire bunch were then removed and scrapped.] No electricity was generated and what was learned has nothing to do with making electricity.
Anyway, I managed a small bookstore for a few years. I could order any book (just about) from any where, for anyone. I also did NOT order thousands of books because I did not expect them to sell, it cost to send them back, or they cannot be sent back.
The store clerks may not know what B & N allows the local manager to do. Further B & N is not doing well in this digital age. The local manager my be a member of the Kilmate Cult.
I was free to do as I pleased.
sunset, I buy from Barnes and Noble. I know for a fact that Barnes and Noble is not censoring Marc’s book. Just because a book is unavailable in a particular store doesn’t mean they don’t carry it. We need to resist turning this CAGW propaganda into a retail sales problem. Capitalism isn’t trying to prevent you from acquiring this book. Book Stores are on precarious footing as it is thanks to Amazon and it is good to support them.
Go to Barnes and Noble website. Select your store location. then search for the book. The website will tell you if it is or is not available in your store and provide a link to see if it is in stock in nearby stores. Where I live there are many stores in a drive-able area. Some have it in stock some don’t. Since it is popular that is the likely reason it is out of stock. If there are no other stores conveniently located to you then you can purchase it online through both Barnes and Noble or Amazon. I would recommend you support your local book stores.
Special order two of the skeptical book you want, then buy one. The second one will go on the shelf.

We do ask that. And then we look at the data and see that whatever the climate change is, it is minor. And then we figure out that the climate is also changing slowly, and we humans are smart enough to adapt in time to a slow, minor increase in temperature.
That’s some encouraging news. Probably some of the people who heard all these dire warnings from the IPCC about climate catastrophy over the past few months, are new buyers.

I’ve noticed that warmist graphs focus increasingly on per capita CO2 emissions. They’d rather not highlight the fact that the US is responsible for only 14% of emissions, and falling.
I think the skeptic community in the US should focus more on our near-complete inability to make any meaningful impact on global CO2 emissions, and focus less on general arguments about climate change.
The message to Americans should be, “there’s nothing meaningful the US can do about CO2 emissions, so no point worrying about it”

There is no need for WUWT to focus upon just one of the obvious truths or to ignore less obvious ones. Every alarmist pretense will be exposed to ensure readers learn what they desire and are knowledgeable.
That alarmists happily use well known and estimated civilization per capita measurements against poorly known and very poorly estimated per capita emissions of less modern populations, is their own folly.
Those same alarmists ignore lack of indoor plumbing, lack of sanitation, and indoor smokey fires. Preferring, instead, to keep those poor per capita without clean energy, clean fossil fuel fertilizer derivations, agriculture machinery, modern plumbing and sanitation and without heat or cooling.
As exposed very publicly, alarmists prefer to deny ordinary people the benefits of civilization. Especially as they jet around the world telling people to freeze, overheat, starve, walk, crawl if need be, and suffer for the good of elitists.
Their per capita graphs are just more falsehoods spread by activists and alarmists; whose well exposed and declared real goals is socialist tyranny.
All true, but…it must be made known that the US could cut its CO2 emissions by 90%, and it would make very little difference. The American public should be made to realize that, short of bombing China back to a preindustrial state, we’re almost totally powerless when it comes to lowering CO2 emissions.
When we question the theory of AGW, all we’re really doing is acting as shills for China, India, and other big current and future emitters. What we should be doing is telling Americans that they can’t do anything about global carbon emissions. BTW: the same is even more true for the UK and Australia.
Why would Carl Sagan’s book “COSMOS” be listed under Climatology? My memory of the book is that it was about astronomy with only one of its chapters, “Heaven and Hell” even remotely touching on climatology.

That is what I was wondering. I don’t know about the book but the original PBS series that it is based on came out in 1980 when glaciers were due to arrive at any moment.
I would recommend a re-watch. There were several episodes where Carl waxed poetically on the dangers of our warming planet. None of which came to pass, but never you mind that distraction. It was heresy when our betters were warning of glaciers but Sagan was contra! A rebel!

Amazon are generally quite lenient when it comes to exclusion on political grounds, as compared to Twitter & Facebook, with Google/YouTube somewhere in the middle. But they are all increasing their political censorship to penalize things that don’t fit the current Bay Area political narrative.
More seriously, financial processors like Mastercard, Visa, and.. well there aren’t many competitors…, are starting to deny service to people/organizations/companies that get called names by the SPLC (The Southern Poverty Law Center) and other ‘charities’ to whom they have outsourced their judgement of moral rectitude in order to enforce SJW-speak.
