Aaron Doering Hennepin County Jail

A well-known climate change expert and professor at the University of Minnesota choked and brutally assaulted his fiancée, who told cops she fears he will kill her, according to a criminal complaint.

Aaron Herbert Doering, a 47-year-old tenured professor and the director of the Minneapolis university’s Learning Technologies Media Lab, was charged Thursday with two felony counts of domestic assault by strangulation in Hennepin County District Court, the Star Tribune reports.

Doering — who also serves as a fellow for the Royal Canadian Geographic Society and regularly appears on media outlets to discuss climate change, sustainability and related topics — had to be separated from his fiancée by responding officers when they got to the couple’s apartment in Minneapolis, according to a criminal complaint obtained by the newspaper.

The woman, who had bruises on her neck and red marks on her forehead, told police Doering had dragged her through the apartment by her hair before beating her and choking her to the point that she thought she would lose consciousness, the complaint shows.

“Victim believes [Doering] will kill her if he returns to the apartment,” according to the court document.

The woman claimed that the alleged assault was not the first time she had been victimized by Doering. She also provided police with photographs to back up those claims.

Doering, who remains jailed in Hennepin County on $40,000 bond, is set to make his initial court appearance Friday afternoon, county records show.

Doering’s status at the university remained unchanged as of late Thursday, a spokeswoman told the Star Tribune.

“We’re aware of the situation and will be reviewing the matter,” director of public relations Lacey Nygard said.

Maybe she told him she was a climate change denier. Men who beat, assault, rape or injure or kill women should be jailed and society should throw away the key to the isolated cell that we banish them to.

Climate alarmists have a pattern for such behaviour. Al Gore sexually allegedly assaulted a massage therapist in a hotel room and Dr Pachauri was also caught trying to adjust a model without her permission. In Australia a Greens MP was also recently forced to resign over repeated sexual harrassment alogations.

If you look at the people who engage in left wing politics in general, you can see a pattern of intolerance and violence, ranging from violent street protests to public calls to imprison or even kill those who don’t subscibe to their political positions. The violent protests following Trump’s election win demonstarted their disdain for democracy when the majority view doesn’t align to their own ideology. In Australia, the left wing protest group was in a fury following the election of a conservative leader back in 2012 and walked around for weeks holding up an effigy of his bloodied head in a noose, wearing T shirts saying F…Abbott. A situation that would never occur in reverse if a left-wing leader was elected.

Basically, left-wing people are savagely intollerant and quickly prone to violence when they don’t get their own way. They also hide under a false pretense of moral cause and virtue signalling to fool the general public while they carry on pushing their destructive ideology unabated.

What is it with all these lefties?

Are they so hard-up that the only way they can get laid is to force themselves upon women?

Or do they get a power-rush from engaging in abusive behavior?

Seems to be a problem, particularly with the political left. Maybe it’s the lack of a moral center.

Read below about “Slick Willie” Clinton in the USA and Jack “Mehoff” Layton in Canada:
______________________________________

“MILLWEE: He [Bill Clinton] came in [to the editing room] behind me, started hunching me to the point that he had an orgasm. He’s touching, trying to touch my breasts and I’m just sitting there very stiffly, just waiting for him to leave me alone. And I’m asking him the whole time, ‘Please do not do this. Do not touch me. Do not hunch me. I do not want this.’ And he finished doing what he was doing and walked out.”
http://www.politico.com/blogs/on-media/2016/10/former-tv-reporter-accuses-bill-clinton-of-sexual-assault-229987

Bill reminds me of my friend’s dachshund. When I was a kid I used to visit my genius friend Peter, and he would always admonish me to put my shoes in the closet and close the door. Seems his dog had a shoe fetish, and would make wild passionate love to your footwear if you left them in sight. Gives whole new meaning to the term “wiener dog”. If I ever encounter a dog like this again. I’m going to call him “Clinton”. 🙂

Even notice how the press gives lefties a free pass when they (all too frequently) reveal themselves as sexual predators? Canadian NDP Socialist leader Jack “Mehoff” Layton was caught by the Toronto police in a raid of notorious massage parlour, famous for their “happy endings”, and was given a free pass by the police AND the press.
______________________________________

A close friend recently told me about his former girlfriend, a beautiful young woman who was asked by the local NDP Party brass to accompany the NDP national leader while he was in her city. This was an earlier Canadian NDP leader, previous to Mehoff. She was flattered at first, but was shocked when he became a drunken groper and aggressor in the evening. It is probable that the local brass knew of his character flaws and tried to accommodate him – but they picked the wrong girl.

The mention of his having “…received millions of dollars in grants” clearly shows on what side of the issue he stands.

Just imagine how many useful things could have been accomplished if you add up the sum total of grant money awarded over the decades to him and the legions of colleagues ravenously feasting at the IPCC led $$$ banquet.

Among Doering’s publications is the forthcoming: “What Color Panties Are You Wearing? Conversations between 9th Grade Social Studies Students and a Female Pedagogical Agent”

Somehow that doesn’t make me think of him as the globalist apologist for sustainability through international travel and conversations with inhabitants of extreme environments, related to earth’s changing climate that his various websites advertise him to be. Maybe he’s going a new direction from being an eco-change agent?

The professor is a wannabe “climate expert” (which of course is a ridiculous summary by media and this original ‘post’ author Mr. Miller) who claims, on the University website, to bea “fellow for both the UMN Institute on the Environment and the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. University bio summary page:Quote ” Aaron is a pioneer in adventure learning, geospatial learning, and learner-driven technology integration strategies. He is recognized internationally as a Tech Awards laureate, which honors innovators who are applying technology to benefit humanity. Aaron also holds the UMN Bonnie Westby Huebner Endowed Chair in Education and Technology, and is a fellow for both the UMN Institute on the Environment and the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. He can often be found on the road collaborating with diverse cultures in remote regions of the globe, or traveling by pulk or dogsled through extreme Arctic wilderness” lol..a real Eco-Renaissance Man engaging with winter snow and geospatialities! He does not impress me with his extreme “man against nature” story or his once upon a time UMN Institute on the Environment “fellowship” but it might impress young students..I should not even go there about certain types of professors and their NON-academic interest in naive, impressionable young students..just saying I was young and in college once upon a time..professors can be quite too full of themselves around young students..nuff said.

Totally agree. This is meant to be a science site. If he beats his wife he should be held accountable, but it has nothing to do with his views on climate change. Do we really want to descend into judging whether a persons views on CC are right or wrong because of how they conduct their private lives. There are people who make poor choices in their live on both sides of this argument, and it is just making everyone dirty listing them in some sort of “see your team are less moral than ours” game.

Rotten apples do indeed speak to the rest of an idea. No matter how good the idea is. The very idea of a person who publicly says one should walk carefully on the Earth yet behind closed doors would trample on another person he disagrees with should give you pause and at least leads you to grow a bit more cautious about the ideas this person has publicly pushed. It does not give you pause? If this does not, what in the hell would?

Not to mention that leaving sperm behind with a willing partner (solid evidence for Bill, but he said-she said wayyyy after the alleged motel romp for Trump) bears no resemblance to the alleged beating this man rained down on this woman. So he is a teachers training college instructor specializing in use of video lectures. His description with wifty poofty techie claptrap, is a pathetic attempt to avoid putting school teachers’ school teacher in there.

“Climate Change Expert”? I thought the clime syndicate pooh poohed mere engineers, physicists, chemists … who criticise their arithmetic as not being climate scientists and here he is an ‘expert’.

Although mentally screwed up guys who assault women violently with or without rape can be found in all walks of life, I and others have commented that there is an element of at least neurosis to be found in many supporters of big causes.

A ‘tell’ is the anatomy of the set up. There is a scary proportion of unhappy, unfulfilled, dejected, depressed folk out there that get attracted (recruited) to causes with characteristics that give their lives meaning. A cause that feeds zealotry, misanthropy, vengefulness, feeling of control. A set up that fêtes them, mingles them with celebrities, rewards them… oh the founders are past masters at harnessing this stuff. Imagine such folk having their Kumbaya fall apart! The stress is already built up unmercifully for they see the end. It won’t be pretty.

In this day and age of lipstick on a pig media brushstrokes, discernment is of high value to the consuming public. If there is a probability of a person engaging in serious, harmful, inappropriate behavior in one area of life, I will view with proper caution all the other areas of that person’s life.

On the other hand if someone has a dog in the fight and accuses another without physical evidence of wrong doing, it is the accuser I will view with caution.

So I will continue to view this man and what he says about anything with due diligent caution. Which is what I have said all along about what he has said and done in his public life.

Wisdom is a virtue apparently lost on some commentators. Maybe they ain’t old enough to have much of it. Or maybe they have rose colored glasses on. Or maybe they think a little evil or a lot of evil is good as long as they believe overall that good is being done. And maybe they need to go back in time and learn what malevolent benevolence is. Appearing to do good but with alterier motives. People, and movements, and leaders who live one way in public but another way in private should be viewed with such caution lest you be caught unaware.

Pamela, you can pontificate all you want, you were still wrong to say: ” and speaks to the underbelly of this movement.”

Unfortunately, I will likely be proven right. Maybe not in my lifetime, but eventually. The light won’t go on for quite some time. And that is the unfortunate part. We will have to suffer many more “bright stars” feeding at the trough of climate alarm money, and be willing to accept a little or a lot of evil because we are convinced that good is being done. And it appears this guy gorged at the trough unworried about his private life because he was engaged in a greater good. That is the underbelly.

Pamela says: ” feeding at the trough of climate alarm money”
..
I challenge you to find one AGW grant he received. They do not study climate at his place of employment: http://lt.umn.edu/about.html

Lordy. Even Nick found “one”. There are tons of coinage available to study the supposed effects of AGW. His bigger one was a multi-year bunch of money that had him jetting all over the place to “observe, study, and document climate change” under the guise of creating distance learning for kiddies.

Hell, even I could get one.

Two from national science foundation. Both focused on climate change as a consequence of human activity. Multi year and expensive!

Then why does he bill himself as a Climate Scientist? Or maybe I should ask, who billed him as a Climate Scientist? Pamela Gray found the university that employs him does indeed present him as a Climate Scientist. So for Nick Stokes and the rest of you, that’s the “WUWT” of all of this, why is this guy headlined as a Climate Scientist, and was doing interviews as a Climate Scientist, but now that he has been charged with a domestic violence crime you so hastily declare, he ain’t no Climate Scientist? Pamela Gray is right, this does indeed expose (once again) a disturbing trend, a distinct lack of moral fiber, of all the “Climate Science” industry. This isn’t the first time Gang Green has gone gung-ho for a carnival barker as long as he sings the correct tune but then attempted to throw him under the bus once they can no longer cover his warts with concealer.
