The Presidential Politics of Climate Change

Guest political humor by David Middleton

All of the Gorebal Warming since Al Gore & Jimbo Hansen invented climate “science” has occurred while Democrats occupied the White House…

HadCRUT4 (°C) from 1989, grouped by US President. Wood for Trees

All of the warming since George H. W. Bush took office in January 1989 occurred while Democrats Bill Clinton and Barrack Hussein Obama occupied the White House.  No warming occurred while George W. Bush and Donald J. Trump were Chief Executives of the U.S. government… Yet Presidents Bush & Trump have more or less been blamed for every hurricane and all other inclement weather since at least 2005.

Put that in your peace pipe and smoke it.

Using Obama logic, he is responsible for the economy improving at a more rapid pace now after he’s gone. Obviously, he’s also responsible for the lack of temperature increase since he left as well.

Keep your eyes on the EO’s [exec orders].
They are worth checking out as the net tightens.
And Trump conditioning the public with one word tweets TREASON ?.

The Q thing is quite interesting, but i base my opinion/s on the The Don’s statements over the last 20 yrs, and him being a man of his word.

The 2 civilian investigative branches have been completely Obarma-ed.

Trump is the commander in chief, and putting all his trust in the patriots of military intel.

He / they have done a great job bringing all the globalist/marxist roaches out into the day light.

That Q thing is a dud if nothing really momentous happens just before the mid-terms.

Trump will have both houses and 6 years to do as he said, ”i will bring them all down”.

He has already changed the way a huge portion of world trade is undertaken, and he is busy whipping china the worlds driving force behind globalisation,….i.e. chinese-ism,…..one world governance.

If he loses all our great grand kids will be brown and maoist.

I can only remember 2 presidents who were not seekers of the limelight, George W Bush and Harry Truman, but I was pretty young in Truman’s era so will stand to be corrected if it comes to that. Of course, not too much limelight back then, no tv at my house at any rate.

Sadly, Obama was never voted out of office. Even more depressing is that if allowed, he probably would have won again.
The last time that happened the country slipped into socialism rather quickly. Thankfully our predecessors realized the folly of allowing an entrenched political machine to imbed itself too firmly to be removed.

I like that comment but would modify it a little to ‘I have yet to meet a Democrat who would let something as trivial as being voted out of office keep them from admitting they were.’ Remember, it is considered a serious character flaw for a professional politician to EVER admit they were wrong – about anything.

IT WAS NOT THE RUSSIANS. It was me. I voted for him in the general. (Cruz in the primary) And then, I was blessed by being chosen as an Elector in the Electoral College, so I got to vote for him again. Before the meeting of the Electoral College, I was bombarded by emails from crazed Donks. On the “best” day, I got just over 10,000. I set up spam rules so most every one went to spam. It was very satisfying to empty the spam folder. It took nearly half an hour to purge the spam folder of trash. I hope that I can be chosen Elector again. (They are elected at the Republican State Convention, at least here in Texas.) It’s fun to see Donk heads explode. They haven’t been this mad since 1865 when we made them give up their slaves.

We already know how much of a witch hunt it was. The primary reason given for the investigation was meeting with a foreign agent, possibly to strike a deal to to influence the election. It has been a known fact for months that one party not only met with a foreign agent to influence the election, but paid that agent cash to influence the election, and yet no charges have been filed because that party isn’t the target.

If yo are referring to Clinton paying Steele… that is quite different. No 1 Steele was working for a private company. 2. there was nothing illegal or even unusual about the contract. 3. Trump may well have colluded with the government of the US’s biggest enemy to alter the election. Now that is something worth investigating. Can’t wait to hear what Manafort has to say.

If there is nothing illegal about paying a foreigner to influence the election, then there is no reason for the Mueller investigation. Public or private doesn’t matter under the law, friend or enemy doesn’t matter under the law. Trump is being accused of taking actions that the DNC is known to have committed, if that’s not unusual or illegal, then you have proven that the original purpose is a politically motivated witch hunt.

Manafort has agreed to cooperate on the following “in any and all matters as to which the government deems the cooperation relevant,” including “testifying fully, completely” before a grand jury.”
I think they are going to be very keen to ask him questions about the little meeting in Trump tower. Cohen has already said big Trump new about the meeting beforehand. If Manafort says he did (under oath) then it is game set and match. Trump will have been caught lying(again)… there was collusion…. Witches found.

The Clinton campaign paid Russians, through Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele, to fabricate outlandish stories to smear Trump. The FBI took these “salacious and unverified” tales and used them to obtain FISA warrants to spy on the Trump campaign. Top FBI officials like Comey, McCabe and Strzok have been fired.

The Liberal Party of Australia is the same as the Republician Party of the USA, perhaps not quite as right wing. I t used to have Turnbull a Green PM, but he got kicked out two weeks ago and since then noises of being anti Paris have been heard,

But the34 polls all indicate that the ALP will win the next election, due before next may, so we will have to wait till the lights go out.

Suppose that you were a clueless academic. You would notice the correlation between the President’s party and the temperature trend. You would calculate a convincing p-value to prove that it wasn’t a fluke. I have a bad feeling that some journal, especially of the predatory sort, would publish the paper.

The above scenario sounds stupid but it is absolutely standard operating practice. My favorite example involves dark chocolate. link Interestingly, it was a blogger, not the scientific community, who first noticed that the paper was bogus.

Prior to 2000, it wasn’t standard. In 1976 for example, ABC used Blue for Carter (the democrat) and Yellow for Ford (the Republican). In 1992 Bill Clinton had Red and George Bush had Blue. It pretty much was the aftermath of the 2000 election that locked in the idea of Red for Republican and Blue for Democrat

396 W/m^2 of S-B BB LWIR energy upwelling from the surface are required to power the radiative greenhouse effect. (TFK_bams09)

But this 396 W/m^2 is naught but a theoretical “what if” S-B BB ideal 1.0 emissivity calculation for any surface at 289 K and is not real.

If this 396 W/m^2 does not exist neither do the 333 W/m^2 GHG LWIR energy loop, CO2 warming or man-caused climate change.

However as soon as I learned, I immediately used my executive powers to order Florence to downgrade to Cat. 1 before entering US territory, and was pleased to see that she obeyed.

It’s all about victimhood. The left must create victims (of what is less important) in order to stay/return to power. The current crop of victims have no clue what being a victim really is. Holocaust folks are victims, children born without their full faculties are victims. People harmed by random, indiscriminate crimes are victims. But people who say they are victims of some awful thing done to some previous generation are sniveling, cowardly, inept snowflakes who apparently can’t boil water because “victim”. And the left prefers their voting rank and file to be that way.

We all have the individual right to life, liberty, and the PURSUIT of happiness. The left wants to take and keep those rights away from their constituents. This endeavor on their part is surely the greatest scandal of our time. Anthropogenic Global Warming is simply one of MANY means to that scandalous end. So if you subscribe to the leftist victim label and the current boogeyman you are a putts with a ring in your nose being led around by your owners. Now THAT’S slavery!

What drives me nuts about all these people claiming Trump is responsible for worse hurricanes:
1) They aren’t worse.
2) US CO2 emissions continue to go down, regardless of their withdrawal from the Paris Climate Treaty (plus US never joined anyway as the Senate never ratified it).
3) I don’t believe any evidence supports the claim that increased CO2 results in worse hurricanes.

Ps I saw a Instagram post claiming hurricanes are made by the government (not natural, don’t know what the guy thinks about historical hurricanes), and the occurrence of major hurricanes have increased by 5 times, and just wait, they will make a Category 6 hurricane this year.

I’s do it if I was retired; really I would.

Yes and the ‘edit function’ has gone which I really need to use on the above post!

I checked it out at wood for trees and it’s actually true. I agree there is no logical reason for it, but it is funny.

Would someone please tell Donald that he’s overdone it. We’re sitting at 1 C in Calgary, 17 degrees below normal and no improvement in sight for at least a week. Maybe he’s trying to convince Trudeau to convert the Canadian Milk Marketing board into an ice cream supplier for the US in return for a NAFTA agreement.

Yah, Michael, but the American duck and goose hunters who travel to your fine Province are LOVING it.

It’s giving the birds a good push out of the northern reaches of the Peace river valley 3 weeks earlier than normal, and they’ll show up between Grimshaw and Grande Prairie a few weeks ahead of schedule.

Based on own many experiences in AB, MB and SK, and having traveled all over N. America, I can say as an authority that the prairie farmers, ranchers and bush folks in rural AB, MB and SK are the finest in N. America. And that includes us Southerners in the U.S.

Those folks in those Provinces will be the last humans standing in any economic apocalypse. Abundant oil, gas, cereal grains, livestock, water, uranium and hydroelectric power. Humans can survive for centuries and rebuild from there.

Unfortunately, the next ice age will wipe them out. The “climate change” the rest of the world is so worried about is no great threat to them. The end of the current interglacial is.

Hmmm…
I don’t have a link but one of Obama’s people wrote a book and quoted him as saying (after Hillary lost, I think), “Maybe we should have waited another 10 years.”
My questions are:
Who is the “we”?
and
“Waited 10 years” for what?

We tend to give the President the credit or blame for the economy, why not the climate too?

BREAKING! TRUMP SAVES CAROLINAS FROM CAT 4 HURRICANE

If our pro- dirty energy industrial capitalist billionaire president hadn’t reduced CO2 emissions by 41.8 million tons since he’s been in office Hurricane Florence might have remained a CAT 4 hurricane with thousands dying in the disaster./sarc

I can do a climate model on that too proving that we could cool the whole world by electing Republicans.

England’s King Canute or Knut demonstrated that he couldn’t hold back the waves; his excessively ingratiating followers had implied that he could. Obama said he was going to push back the oceans. Does he by any chance think he’s Teddy Roosevelt?

Anyone who accuses a person or group for a weather event is clinically unhinged. These pathetic fools are no different than witch burners.
Notice that it is always a person the witch burner already dislikes when they cross the line into actual witch burning.

When Democrats are in charge the economy does better.

Bruce,

Not when you compare Carter’s and Reagan’s or Obama’s and Trump’s economies.

And the economy got better under Clinton only after the GOP won the House.

Comparing the super El Ninos of 1998 and 2016 in HadCRU’s supposed “surface data” set with UAH satellite observations shows how cooked are the former’s books.
